i don’t think robert realises the enormity of what cutting aaron out of his life did to aaron, and i’m not sure he will until aaron sits him down and tells him .. and i mean really tells him .. everything

This one goes way back to 2006 and I think this is the first mix I recorded to a PC and not to a 90 minute tape. I only have one (maybe two) other mix(es) saved that are older than this, from around 2003/4. I'm not sure I have it digitised, though if I do, I'll upload it at some point. One of my regrets is that I did not save tapes from the mid-90's until the digital world started to take over as the new norm. I used to drag my decks around with me to friends houses, or the occasional pub where we'd take over a back room for the night and I'm sure some of those would be great fun to listen back to now.
Anyway, as I say, this mix was from around 2006, the image is also from that year and is an edit of a photo I took from my hotel room in New York. I had a bit of a thing for mashing words it seems. Chillcklectica was really a merging of Chill & Eclectic and there's not much more to it than that. I kept that approach even beyond the creation of this blog in 2009 when the name 'Mixamorphosis' came into being Mix + Metamorphosis = what has been since. I've edited the image to reflect the name of the blog just to keep the continuity, it used to be Mark Em-sea... pre-mixamorphosis days.
The mixing maybe isn't great in parts, I was using a pair of Technics 1210's and an early CDJ, I really can't remember the model or what the mixer of the time was, but I think it might have been a Behringer.

ok i have request where after Liam Hemsworth divorced with Miley Cyrus and news spread out about it. Liam was unhappy but glad he came back to his family. One day, he was invited to his highschool reunion in a local bar where he was reunited with his ex-girlfriend, reader.
Nostalgia
A/N: OK THIS WAS MY SHIT! Thank you sooo much for this request. I have been obsessed this man since his Elephant Princess days (real ones know 😘) and its absolutely insane to me that I was flipping from Elephant Princess to Hannah Montana and never thought "Oh yeah these two will end up together." Anyways, I had this down to a T, cause southern hemisphere gal here. And because I may of gotten too into character I have provided a friendly dictionary below for clarity. ☺️
sook/having a sook: whingeing, complaining, having a tantrum but where you go all sad and sulky.
dickhead: term of endearment. Your bestmates are dickheads, you love them.
deck: Porch, veranda, that wooden flooring with no roof just outside the back of your house.
pub: bar but definitely not a club
the local: the pub, but your local pub where everyone goes. A single venue in a small town. Think Coyote Ugly...
Logies: The Australian Emmy's yet more chaotic, and an ugly little award.
Neighbours: Iconic Australian Show, like Days of Our Lives, super long and only your grandma watches it. Arguably better that American stuff though.
are just something else: A compliment, you're special.
Reckon: Like saying I think or I bet with confidence i.e. I reckon it'll rain today... ya reckon? Like saying you really think so.
Disclaimer: All characters and events written, even those based on real people are entirely fictional and are no representation or comment of said characters in real life.
Liam signed switching off his phone once he landed at the airport. Ignoring the onslaught of texts and messages that arose from the TMZ article on his divorced.
It was never his plan to be 30, divorced and sulking back to his childhood home. Yet here he was. Craving a long hug from mum and an ice cold beer.
“Welcome home honey”
“Thanks mum”
He pulled her into a tight hug making his way into the passenger seat.
They drove in silence on the way, his head against the window looking at the familiar sights. His mum glanced worried looks at him
“Hey so Luke came over and told me you reunion is tomorrow night what good timing!”
“Yeah, I know I got the email I’m not going.”
“Why not?”
“Because I’m 30 years old, the whole world knows about my divorce to a well-known former childhood star and my brother is fucking Thor” his snapped at her slightly at the end
“Oh, stop being such a sook… you should go it’ll be good for you to reconnect with your roots, they always say when you don’t know which path to go down, go back to start and try again.”
“I just don’t know if I’m up for it.”
“You might change your mind when you know who’s going…”
“Yeah whatever.”
Chris laid out on the deck, letting the Australian sun warm his body, in nothing but sunglasses and board shorts he was finally getting into the grove of relaxing until a sudden jerk of his deck chair meant he was hitting the ground.
“WHAT THE FUC-“
“Long time no see dickhead.”
“Holy shit! Joel!”
Joel was Liam’s best mate from high school.
He pulled his old friend into a bro hug.
“Heard from your bro you were back wanted to see it for myself… you haven’t gone all LA on us have ya?”
“Nah I haven’t.”
“Good cause you’re coming to the pub tonight.”
“Is that where they’re having the reunion?”
“Great detective skills Sherlock.”
“Nah mate can’t we just hang out here.”
“And drink wines on the couch with your mum while watching Neighbours? I think the fuck not. Come on you’re not too famous for the local.”
“Fine. One beer though.”
“Yeah, that’s what they all say.”
He grabbed his beer from the barman and made his way through the crowded pub, offering “Heys” and “Good to see you’s” until he landed in a quiet spot in the back. Sulking down with a sigh and sipped his beer, watching the scenes in front of him.
It was comforting to be home, familiar sights, faces and smells but couldn’t help the pit in his stomach of feeling like an outsider.
YOUR POV:
“Hey stranger.” You stood in front of your sulking ex-boyfriend, as his head rose at the sound your voice.
“Y/N, Hey, shit look at you!” Liam beamed when his eyes connected with yours, pulling him out of his haze. You couldn’t help but spot the hint of sadness on his face.
He couldn’t believe his eyes. You looked more beautiful since he last saw you, relaxed with your hair out, a little textured, clearly air dried after a late afternoon dip. Your skin pink from sun exposure, in its early stages of what was sure to develop into a tan. His eyes scanned over your body, the summery dress leaving little to the imagination, with your strong legs on full display and ample chest held together by a thin piece of string.
“Same old me… move over” The large man scooted on the bench, opening the space for you to sit down, drink in hand. While it was a two-person bench, his sheer size left little space between the two of you, his knees touching yours. Moving his arm to drape across the back, he gave you a little more room but now you were borderline engulfed by his arm. A tinge of nostalgia hitting you remember the same position, lying down in bed, your body snuggled up into his warm armpit.
“What you been up to? Heard you got a job in the city.”
“Yeah, but unlike you I’m not too good to come home once in a while.” You took a swig of your drink, feeling a little tipsy at the familiar taste of alcohol.
“I’m here aren’t I?” He quipped at you.
“Barely. It’s not like you to sit in a corner and sook.” Reminiscing about all those nights, he spent singing on top of the tables in the very pub you sat talking in now.
“Fuck everyone’s been calling me a sook lately.”
“Cause you’re acting like one… what’s got your panties in a bunch?”
“Do you not get internet at your joint or something?”
“No, I just don’t spend my days googling my high school ex. So, where’s Hannah Montana?”
“In LA.”
“Why? does she not like it here?”
“No, I just didn’t think I’d take my ex-wife to my high school reunion.”
“EX Wife?”
“Since 3 days ago yeah.” He took another swig of beer.
“Shit, Li I’m sorry.”
“Nah it’s fine, it’s fucking whatever.”
“Well, it’s not “whatever” you had a connection with someone, it hurts when you lose them. And nothing anyone says can really make the pain feel better.”
“Is that how you felt when I went to LA?” A sudden tension fell over you two. How could he ask that?
“Yep.” She popped the P. Avoiding his intense gaze on you.
“Well, you’re in a much better spot than me now.” He shuffled in his seat realising he hit a soft spot.
“Doesn’t mean the pain magically goes away.”
“Are you still mad?”
“Still mad? you told me you loved me and wanted to get an apartment together then we graduated, and you fucked off to LA. I’m not mad at all Liam, I’m hurt.”
“I’m sorry it was selfish.”
“Especially considering I would have gone with you if you just asked.”
“No, you wouldn’t, you would of hated it.” He tsked.
“You don’t know that. And you will never know because you never asked. I loved you Li I would have followed you to Antarctica if that’s what you wanted. You were so passionate about acting I was so excited to see your dreams come through I just didn’t expect to be excluded from them.”
“What do you think would have happened if I didn’t go?” He pushed.
“Honestly?”
“Honestly.”
“We probably would have stayed together, brought a house on the beach, I’d be on my third baby by now and you’d keep doing local TV, maybe take me to the Logies hahaha.”
“Why didn’t you call me?”
“I did… like twice and your assistant would always answer and tell me you’re not taking personal calls at this time or some shit, when I saw you shacked up with Miss Best Of Both Worlds, I stopped.”
“I wish you didn’t.”
“Why?”
“Cause then maybe I wouldn’t be sooking here right now.”
“Yeah, well too late for us to go over what we would have done differently.”
You both sat silence letting the truth of your words sit in.
“Do you want to go for a walk on the beach?” He looked at you, eyebrow raised.
“Do you even remember the path?” You scoffed at him,
“Of course, I do, the secret passage near Batty’s path… where we used to ya kno-”
“OKAY I GET IT, good to see you haven’t forgotten everything, now come on.” You slapped his chest, jumping up out of the seat, Liam closely followed behind you.
You walked in silence, listening the waves crash. His hands in his pockets and you holding your shoes and bag in the other. The sandy shore lit up by the moonlight, a light breeze in the air.
“I don’t think there’s such a thing as too late ya know.” He piped.
“What you mean?”
“Well, you reckon it’s too late for us but who’s to say it’s too late maybe it’s just the beginning.”
“You’ve had too many drinks.” You laughed him off
“No Y/N I’m serious.” He grabbed your wrist, stopping you along the shore. The tide coming as the water’s edge tickled your bare feet.
“Hearing you describe what could of been… honestly sounds pretty good right now. You think I’ve gone all too big for my boots, but this place is still home to me ya know… why do you think I came here when everything went to shit?” You looked up at him, barely making out his facial expression in the dark. From what you could see, he was a broken boy, he seemed wrecked, and you decided take his words seriously.
You sighed
“Cause when you don’t know what to do you should turn around and go from where you started.”
“Exactly but I think I know what I want to do next”
His hand, falling to your face, thumb rubbing your cheek, he leaned in and you breathe caught in your throat. Your body once a little chilly now warmed by the sensation of his mouth on yours. What started with a tender kiss turned into a deep passionate embrace. It was different to all those times before, mainly due to his now beard face rubbing against your skin and the reality that his kissing skills had definitely improved.
“Liam...” You pushed him off you, hands grazing the hair exposed on his unbuttoned chest, he felt firm and warm. Like the perfect mattress you could sleep peacefully on top of him.
“What’s wrong?”
“There’s no point, you’ll go back to your big city and forget about me all over again once you see some leggy model.”
“Not happening.”
“Doubt it.”
“I didn’t get a return ticket Y/N.”
“What?”
“I’ve been looking at places, I’m here indefinitely.”
“Well, that’s good but still doesn’t mean we are going to work.”
“Can we at least try?”
“So, you can break my heart a second time?”
“I like to see it as giving me a very generous second chance to prove I made a mistake the first time.”
“I don’t know Liam, its all ve-“
He cut you off with his kiss, planting his lips on you a second time and this time you didn’t push him away. Your hands instinctively going to his now long locks, running your hands through the familiar boy now a man. Your mind rushed with memories of late nights sneaking out to go play on the beach, always ending up curled in a towel on the shore counting stars. You felt 18 all over again and the pain of loss slowly seeped away with him in your arms again.
You both pulled out, panting at the sudden passionate embrace.
“Please?”
You licked your lips, biting slightly on your lower lip.
“Kiss me one more time and I’ll see.” You grinned at him.
“Fuck me you are just something else Y/N” He pulled you into his arms, you squealed as he took you running with him into the ocean. Dropping your bag and shoes before the sudden shock of cold saltwater hit you as you were thrown into the blue. Coming up for air, you stood waist deep in water, smoothing your now soaked hair back, you were met with a hysterically laughing Chris
“You son of a-“ Swimming over to him, you immediately jumped on him, wrapping your legs around his waist, pulling him down into the water with you. Making sure he was as equally saturated as you.
He pulled you both out this time, you still firmly clinging onto him in the Koala position. Laughing you both passed, looking into each other’s eyes, you kissed his salty lips again as he held you against him in the water, under the moonlight. And in that moment, it felt like no time had passed at all.

maybe an odd request but one of my favorite tropes is the sicky not being believed for whatever reason (they hardly get sick, others think they’re just trying to get out of an event etc) and are only listened to when they suddenly get much sicker. id love to see that with lucas as the sicky, if it’s something you’re interested in writing!
Anon, I'm obsessed with this prompt! Thank you so much for sending it in!!!
Lucas prided himself on being a top notch boyfriend. Not just the bare minimum boyfriend, but the one who went above and beyond. If that made him a "simp" or "pussy whipped" like some of the dudes said, then whatever, so be it. When Bella had told him about the battle of bands happening, he hadn't just agreed to tag along, he had gotten them tickets beforehand and gotten them the VIP section.
So when he texted Bell halfway through the day to say he didn't feel well and she had answered with an eye roll emoji, followed by "If u don't wanna go, just say it, no need to make excuses", he had been pissed.
He hadn't even bothered to answer that text, deciding she could get iced out for a couple hours and then leaned forward, resting his head in his arms.
Vince, on the seat next to him and definitely not paying the class any attention - because he was acing it, unlike Lucas who was failing it - glanced at him, "Luke, c'mon, don't fall asleep."
"I'm not asleep," Lucas groaned, squeezing his eyes shut against the painful throbbing of his head, "leave me alone."
"Your funeral," Vince shrugged and Lucas felt a jab. He wanted to be babied, he didn't want to be treated like a grown 23 year old, not today.
The rest of the class passed like a blur and then it was five o'clock and time for him to meet up with Bell, so they could drive to the battle. She had texted him only, "i'm at the car", which made him glare daggers at the phone. So much for empathy.
It was a short walk to the parking lot, but he still felt winded by it and each step just made his head hurt a little more. Bella was leaning on his car, arms crossed, but she had a bright smile on. Apparently she had forgiven him for "making up excuses", he thought with a scoff.
"Hi handsome," she said, all cheeky and bubbly and Lucas glared at her, unimpressed.
"Bell, I really don't feel well."
Her smile slipped.
"Really, Lucas? I go to every single one of your games, can't you come to one event I actually like?" she said in a voice that left very little room for arguing.
He weighted his options, he could tell Bella fuck-no because he felt disgusting and wanted to go home and then have her be very pissed and argumentative or he could just go. Somehow the thought of withstanding the hours of torture that were to follow still sounded more appealing than arguing with Bell.
"Fine," he said sourly, circling the car and pretending he didn't notice Bella's face dropping a little bit more. It sent a pang of regret, that he had made that wounded look appear on her face, but it got quickly brushed away when he felt his head throb once more and realized he was going to a stupid bands battle.
Fuck his pushover tendencies.
Bell didn't bother making small talk on the drive to the concert, probably still angry or upset, but Lucas couldn't be more glad. In the blessed car silent, he could feel his headache start to calm down...
Only to get twenty times worse the minute he parked in front of the remote bar and was met with the loud noise. Not only it was crowded already, but the pub was blasting music while they waited for the battle to begin.
To make matters worse, it was an adult event, which meant people were having no qualms about smoking, weed or nicotine alike. The smell hit him and Lucas made a face, which only caused Bella to let out a scoff, but she said nothing.
He handed the tickets to security guard at the front and they entered the place. The VIP section was an elevated deck, much closer to the stage and that had actual chairs and a couple tables. Bella didn't sit down, she leaned on the railing and clapped, recognizing the band members around in the ever filling crowd.
Lucas, on the other hand, sat down and crossed his arms to his chest, bracing for at least three hours of screaming punk music.
Thirty minutes later the actual battle began. Bell cupped her mouth to yell out encouragements and while normally he would've thought her adorable, jumping up and down with excitement, today Lucas couldn't help but scowl.
The minute the actual band started playing, he knew he was doomed. The headache exploded behind his eyes and, to make matters worse, he felt his stomach start to churn from the pain. Lucas groaned loudly, but the music was so loud that no one could've heard him.
He squeezed his eyes shut and leaned an elbow on the table before him, planting his forehead on his hand. The band - Paranoid Puppets - was screaming and he had no idea how that shit even categorized as music.
Lucas sucked in a breath as the pain continued to throb behind his eyes and dug the heel of his hand on his eye socket, making little stars explode behind the closed lid. His stomach contracted painfully, his lunch sloshing uncomfortably.
He wasn't sure if the pub was just really warm or if it was just him, but his shirt was gluing to his back and he felt shaky from the pain. A little burp rolled up, bringing with it the taste of his lunch and Lucas lurched forward with a heave.
He rushed to stand up, clasping a hand over his lips and had to push past the two other couples who were also on the VIP deck. Behind him, he heard Bella saying "Lucas?", but her voice got completely drowned by the crowd yelling and a guitar rift.
He bolted down the steps and then pressed a hand to the wall of the pub, fighting to make his way outside - there was no way he'd even find the bathroom in this state, let alone reach it in time.
As soon as Lucas managed to walk outside, he braced his hands to his knees and retched, hard. The heaving sent another sharp stab of pain, but no vomit and he straightened up, rubbing his face and breathing out shakily. Everything was too much, the noise, the smell of people smoking, the actual situation he was in...
"What the fuck, Lucas?!" Bell exclaimed, stomping outside, carrying her purse and both their jackets, "you were just gonna leave me there?!"
"Bell-"
"If you wanted to ruin the night, then consider mission accomplished. Holy shit, I'm never going to another one of those stupid fucking ga-"
Her rant got interrupted by a retch, as Lucas bent in half and threw up on the space between them. She narrowly avoided getting her combat boots covered in vomit and scrambled back. Lucas coughed, wrapped an arm around his stomach and squeezed, sending up another nasty wet burp and more puke, a chunky horrifying mess that hurt like hell coming up.
"Oh baby..." he heard Bella coo and then her hands on his shoulders, steadying him as he swayed in place, "shit, Lucas... You're really not feeling well..."
"Yeah, no shit? I fucking told you," he said bitterly, opening his hand on his stomach and massaging another burp. His headache was melting away his thoughts and he wanted to lie down, in the blessed dark.
"I know, I know," she whispered over and over, pressing a kiss to his bicep, "I'm so sorry, I'm sorry."
"Right," Lucas groaned, feeling too nauseated to give a damn about Bella's sensibilities at the moment, "I want to lie down, my head's killing me."
"O-okay," her voice trembled slightly and he had the distinctive feeling she was fighting not to cry. Lucas forced his eyes open and sure enough, Bella's big blue eyes were filled up with tears and a couple black mascara tears had gone down her cheeks.
"Bell-"
"Shh, let's get you lying down," she said in a pitiful voice, the tip of her nose all red, wrapping an arm around his back, "c'mon, baby."
Lucas groaned, leaning on her slightly and looking up to the night sky as they walked back to his car wordlessly. Bella fished the car keys out of his pocket and then said in a trembling voice, "passenger seat or b-back?"
"Bell, stop crying," he sighed, leaning forward and pressing his forehead to the car's door, the cold metal bringing some semblance of relief, "just stop."
She sucked in a breath, swallowed a sob, "Okay," Bell forced out, smoothing a hand up and down his back gently, "... When did this hit?"
"After lunch," Lucas answered quietly, burping up a small splash of acid on the gravel. He kicked some rocks to cover the mess up, forced in a breath through his nose and cleared his throat, "front. Back is just going to make me carsick."
"Alright..." Bella's voice was still strangled, filled with guilt, but she was doing her absolute best to be helpful, "lean on me."
She pulled the door open and pushed the seat back so he could sit comfortably and half lying down, then hoovered with her hands mid air while Lucas climbed in.
He let out a sigh once falling against the comfortable seat and heard as Bella moved around, then a lukewarm water bottle was pressed on his hand, "little sips, Lucas."
He raised a thumb up, feeling it would be unwise to nod and then heard her closing the passenger door and rushing to the drivers side. Bella took a minute too long to circle it, so Lucas opened his eyes and glanced at the rear view mirror.
Sure enough, hanging on the back of the truck, she had pressed a hand over her mouth and was crying quietly. He sighed and shut his eyes again, chest squeezing.
A couple seconds later Bella climbed on the drivers seat, tears wiped away, fake plastic smile on, but genuine concern written all over her face. She reached in over the handbrake, "Luke? Did you drink the water?"
"Uhm," he sighed, turning his head slowly to look at her, "I didn't mean to snap at-"
"Please, don't," she cut him off sharply, voice thick with the emotion she had pushed down hard, "I deserved it, I should've heard you," she cupped his face, then pressed the back of her hand to his cheeks and sighed, "no fever, at least."
"...I just wanna go home," he sighed quietly, leaning on her touch and Bella nodded, pushing his hair back gently.
"I know, baby, we'll be there in no time."
Lucas turned his head, planted a kiss on the palm of her hand, "and you'll stay?"
"If you want me to..."
"Of course I do," he would've eye rolled if he didn't think that was gonna make him vomit again, "I always do, Bells."
She let out a groan and leaned over the handbrake, kissing his forehead, lips pressing strongly onto his skin, "I love you so much."

Last Christmas--Ashton Irwin blurb
While I still plan on posting my Luke&Lily Christmas fic, I didn’t want to not write something Christmas themed. So here are some short and sweet blurbs, imagine them wrapped in tiny little boxes with red and green paper and white ribbons on it. My gift to you🎁
Christmas blurbs masterlist
warnings: none
word count: 932
Enjoy and happy holidays!
***
Ashton is standing near the entrance of the Christmas Lights Village watching the people as they shuffle through the queue. He’s already got his tickets scanned and he doesn’t mind waiting for you as you rush to the bathroom. It was a year ago today exactly when you first met in this exact spot.
He stood in the line feeling both excited and sullen and wondering just exactly how he can feel two very conflicting emotions at once. He’d originally planned on bringing Laney, a girl he’d been seeing for the last six months and had shown his heart to but the day before the lights she broke up with him.
She didn’t want anything serious and didn’t mean to string him along.
It’s the same old song he’s sung quite a few times with others but now that he’s in his later twenties, he does want to settle down. He thought Laney would be it but apparently not. Ashton tried searching for someone to accompany him but because it was such a last minute invite, he ended up going alone and with an extra ticket.
Much to his luck, he was standing behind you. You caught his eye because of the headband you were wearing, it had little red and green jingle bells on it.
You were having an issue trying to access your ticket on your phone and Ashton sensed your panic so he stepped forward.
“I have an extra ticket if you’d like to use it,” he said, extending his phone to the person scanning the tickets.
“Oh, please, I don’t want you to use one of yours and exclude your friends–” you tried to dissuade him.
‘It’s no trouble,” he smiled. Even though you were frowning, he noticed how pretty you are. “I couldn’t find anyone to come with me.”
The attendant scans the barcode and it beeps. They both start to walk up to the archway that is decked out in lights.
“Thank you so much for doing that,” she said. “Um, you can go on without me, if you’d like.”
“Would you mind if I joined you? If you’d rather be alone, that’s fine, too,” he rushed out. He didn’t want to creep her out.
“I don’t mind,” she smiled. “I’m y/n by the way.”
“I’m Ashton, it’s nice to meet you, y/n.”
You commented on the lights you liked and he pointed to the displays he thought were cool. All the while you took photos and videos and Ashton even offered to take some of you and the lights. Overall it was a very fun walkthrough with a total stranger.
At the end of the walk there was a small town pub with live music playing all the Christmas classics.
“Can I get you a drink?” Ashton asked and you told him your order while you found a booth.
You bonded over a shared bowl of pretzels and common interests in books and movies. You were laughing and having a great time until it was time for the pub to close. Ashton asked for your number.
A year later and you’re still together. Ashton smiles as you emerge from the crowd, that same headband is on your head and he can’t believe how ridiculously adorable you look in it.
“Shall we?” he asks, holding his hand out.
You take it and begin your walk under the archway. The displays are new and different this year but this time, you take a photo together in front of your favorite ones. You end up having to take multiple because Ashton always kisses your cheek, not that you’re complaining but it makes a blurry photo.
“Did I ever tell you who I was supposed to bring here with me last year when we met?” he asks, watching you do a close up of a small light display with snowflakes.
“I don’t think so. Who was it?” you ask grabbing his hand and moving along the walk.
“Laney.”
“She’s the one you showed your heart to and then she gave it away the very next day, right?” you ask.
“Yeah, I didn’t really take it all that well. But then, I met you and it’s almost like it was meant to be,” he smiles. “I ended up giving my heart to someone special.”
“I’m honored to have your heart, Ash,” you stop walking so you can hold his other hand. You stare up at him as the lights change color over his face. “You have mine, too.”
“I’m glad to hear that,” he grins and dips down to give you a kiss. “I love you, y/n, more than you know.”
“I love you, too, Ash,” you smile and he continues to kiss you.
You get lost in it like you always do when you two kiss and a shrill laugh from a child brings you back to the present. You’re in public and can’t openly makeout in front of people.
“We should keep walking,” you mumble and he sighs.
“Move in with me,” he says on the same exhale.
“What?”
You blink at each other and he gulps.
“Move in with me?”
“Really?” you stare at him in wonder and joy.
“I want to keep building my life with you, angel. So…will you?” he rolls his lips together gazing at you with hope.
“I’d love to move in with you,” you chuckle in disbelief that this is actually happening but you couldn’t be happier.
“Yes!” he whoops then lifts you in the air in his excitement and you’re kissing and spinning under all of the lights.

Baby, please come home
Part 1: They're singing deck the halls
Ok here it is, the fix it fic I've been banging on about. I've used a lot of canon but also ignored the bits I don't like and added in some stuff theorised about on here too.
I've changed this about many times so if there are any plot holes please forgive me...although they won't be any worse than the show!
It's in four parts so I'm posting from today until Friday :) as part of my Fic a day in December.
Day 14
(AO3 link)
He dropped his bag at the door, hesitating only a little before he knocked. He should probably contact Vic in Portugal, arrange to see Seb but there was just something he had to do first. He had to try and explain to Aaron why he’d done what he did, in person, not in a letter.
The house looked the same, although the topiary bushes he’d bought were looking a little uncared for. Before he can knock the door flies open and he takes a step back in shock at the young guy standing in front of him.
“Uh…hi? Can I help you?”
“I’m looking for Aaron Su…er, Aaron Dingle.”
“Oh.” He looks shifty all of a sudden and Robert can’t help wondering if he’d just walked in on Aaron and this guy. “He’s…he’s not in.”
“And who are you?”
“I’m Ethan. I live in the top flat. Who are you?”
“You’re Ethan? I’m Robert, Vic’s brother.” He sees a look of recognition and then surprise combined with slight nervousness. “I guess I should say thanks. You gave my solicitor Luke Posner’s number.”
“Vic can be very persuasive.” Robert laughed. “About Aaron…you should probably talk to Chas, or Liv if you can get any sense out of her.”
“Why?”
“Aaron…he’s in prison. For murdering his boyfriend.”
“What?” It must be some kind of joke, the universe playing tricks on him or something.
“Sorry. Like I say, talk to Chas or Liv.” With that he walks off leaving Robert wondering just what the hell had been going on in his absence.
_____
“What the hell are you doing here?” Chas screeches as he walks into the pub, everyone’s heads turning to look at him. Great, just what he needed.
“Nice to see you too Chas. Want to tell me what’s been going on?”
“Give me one good reason why I should?” She hadn’t changed, only the frown on her face more pronounced than usual although given what he knew he supposed that was to be expected.
“Because I was just told that Aaron’s in prison. Bang up job of keeping an eye on him for me.”
“He’s got nothing to do with you anymore. Now get out!” He shakes his head, rounding the bar to the backroom knowing she’ll follow.
“Tell me everything. I’m not moving until you do.”
“I told you he doesn’t need you.”
“I’d say he needs everyone he can get.” Before she can answer him the door opens and Liv is there. They stare at each other for a few seconds before she flies at him and he wraps his arms around her, realising she’s sobbing into his jumper. “Hey, what’s this?”
“I thought I told you, you aren’t welcome lady!” Liv pulls away from him but keeps close.
“Chas…”
“No. You’re barred from here, and from the family. Now get out, the pair of you.” She pushes past them both going back into the bar leaving the two of them just staring at each other.
“Liv, what the hell is going on?” She starts edging towards the door. “Liv!” She stopped dead. “Tell me. You’re not going anywhere until you do.”
“You heard her. I’m not welcome here.” She runs then, and he only just manages to catch up with her at the front of the pub.
“Come with me. You’re not running Liv.” She sighs.
“How are you even here?”
“I appealed, got out...the rest I’ll tell you later. I need to talk to you about Aaron.” Something closed off in her and she turned to walk away from him. “Liv. What the hell is going on? Is it true Aaron’s in prison?”
She nods.
“For killing his boyfriend. That’s insane.”
“You weren’t here. What would you know?”
“I know Aaron.” She looks away. “It’s alright. We’re going to get him back. I didn’t give myself up for him and suffer two years in prison alone only for him to be banged up when I got out.”
“You don’t know he didn’t do it.”
“Yes I do. Now come on, I’m going to book in at the B&B, you can come with me, and tell me everything that’s been going on.” They don’t speak again until they’re in the B&B and he’s pouring out mugs of tea. “Right, so…start at the beginning.”
“Why should I tell you anything? You left us. You ruined everything.”
“Liv, I’m sorry, you have to know that, but I had to to, for you and Aaron.”
“Aaron was broken you know.” He closed his eyes. He knew he would be, maybe that’s why he’d done it the way he had, to make him angry enough to stop him fighting it. “You leaving, it’s…me and him, you ruined us.”
“No Liv. You and him will always be ok.”
“How can we when he’s…” She clams up and stares out of the window.
“Why don’t you tell me what’s been happening. All I know is that he’s in prison for murdering his boyfriend and I know that’s ridiculous.”
“Ben…He was…alright. He and Aaron were happy…but he got fed up with me.”
“And Chas?”
“She hates me.”
“You’ve been drinking again?” He takes a guess. She nods. “Oh Liv.”
“Don’t start all that. You left us, you don’t care about us, or Seb. Have you even seen him?”
“I came here first. I know he’s with Vic, and she’s in Portugal. I was going there but then I heard…” He leans forward. “Stop deflecting. Tell me everything that happened.”
“No.”
“Liv. Do you want your brother to rot in there?” She shakes her head. “So…
“He was with Ben…”
“Yeah, got that much. Did you like him?”
“Yeah. Ben was…At the start, he helped Aaron put up with me. His Dad, turns out he was an alcoholic, but then he wouldn’t move in because I was drinkin’ and then Aaron was always just fed up with me. I know I brought it on myself but you never made me feel like that.”
“And Ben and Aaron, they were ok yeah?” She nods. “So why is everyone so sure he did this?”
“They were moving, after Ben was suspended he started looking for work, jobs that were miles away. I thought they were taking me but they weren’t. So I…” She looks down at her hands.
“It’s alright Liv. Nothing’s as bad as some of the stuff I’ve done, you know that.”
“I sabotaged a job he got. I didn’t want Aaron to go and he said he wanted to stay so I thought if Ben lost the job they’d stay. Aaron was mad, told me he was done with me and all sorts. He was proper angry.”
“At you?” She nods.
“You know he loves ya Liv. I bet he’s regretting everything he said to you. I still don’t understand why he’s the main suspect? If they were planning a new life then it makes no sense. I don’t understand why he was arrested."
“I…”
“Liv? There’s something you aren’t telling me.”
“Why should I tell you anything? You weren’t here. You left us!”
“Yeah I did and I’m sorry, but right now getting to the bottom of this is all I care about. If you know something then you need to tell me.” She opens her mouth then closes it again. “Liv…”
“I was there, alright. Me and him, we had a row. I didn’t do anything!”
“Who…Ben?” She nods. “So the police would’ve thought it was you and Aaron’s taking the blame for you?” He should’ve known.
“I didn’t ask him to.”
“No I know. You wouldn’t need to. Did they come looking for you?” She shakes her head. “So why?”
“Ben’s phone…I had it, and I didn’t know how or anything, and I had this scratch on my neck. Aaron was going to chuck the phone but before he could they came and took it.”
“And that was enough?”
“Me and Ben, we had a fight up at HOP. I don’t remember but Ben, he must’ve recorded it. It was horrible Rob, and Aaron said…he thought I’d done it. I didn’t, I swear. Aaron deleted it but he said they could find it and when they came, he…”
“He let them take him so they wouldn’t look too hard.” He swears under his breath.
“I’m sorry. Rob!” She’s crying again and he can’t do anything but hold her. It was all such a mess. He couldn’t get Aaron out without implicating her and Aaron would kill him if he did that.
“They were askin’ all these questions, to everyone, and Wendy and Bob, they said he’d been violent, and Wendy thought Ben was hiding it. He wasn’t! She’s just a vindictive cow. But he’d hit Jai cos Ben lost his job and…”
“It’s ok.”
“I didn’t do it Rob. I know I can’t remember, but I swear. I couldn’t. Chas thinks I did, I know she does, and she hates me cos Aaron’s taking the blame."
“I know Liv. I know you didn’t. But you do see you can’t keep drinking.”
“I…I know. I’ll stop, I promise. But you need to help Aaron.”
“I will. We just need to work out how to get Aaron out and keep you out of trouble too then.” She looked grateful but a part of him wants to scream at how much more difficult everything was. “You were at HOP yeah? Was anyone else there that day?”
“Billy, Meena, Jai.”
“And did any of them see Aaron?” She shakes her head. “Ok, so there’s no evidence there. Did any of them see you and Ben together?” Another shake. “Right, well don’t say anything to anyone alright, and keep clear of Chas. Trust me, I’ll sort all this out.
“What are you going to do?”
“Find out who did it because we know Aaron, unless I do, he’s not going to want to put you at risk of trouble. He’d rather stay in there where he is.” She smiles. “What?”
“You know him so well. Why didn’t you think he’d stand by you?”
“It was never about that Liv. If anything that was why I did what I did. It’s no life, one visit a month, travelling all that way for an hour? It wasn’t fair, not when it was all my fault. In the end it’d rip us apart, it’d be too much. The way I saw it I was giving him his life back.”
“How’d that work out.” He gives her a sad smile.
“I never said it was a brilliant plan. Has he been happy at all?”
“Yeah…but he’s not been the same as he was with you.”
“Well, I better start putting that right hadn’t I?”
“How?”
“By seeing him. Is he on bail? Does he have a solicitor?” She nods. “Give me his name so I can call and get a visit. I’ll go from there.”
“Rob…do you think there’s a chance that maybe…that even though he took the heat off me, that maybe he could’ve…?”
“No. No way, and you don’t believe that either. Do you?” After a beat she shakes her head. “Good.”
_____
“What do you want?”
“A pleasure as always Chastity.”
“I’m a second away from barring you.”
“No you’re not. I just want to help Aaron.”
“After the state you left him in? Now you want to help?”
“That’s between me and him. I mean it Chas, I’m here to help.”
“First I want to know how you managed to work your way out of prison. You told Vic you didn’t want to appeal.”
“I changed my mind. That’s not important. I just want to get Aaron home.”
“So you can worm your way back into his life. No, I won’t let that happen again.”
“Fine, leave him there to rot then!” She looks about a second away from slapping him and he’s bracing himself for it when she almost deflates. “Come on Chas, let me help.”
“Then tell the police who really did it!”
“I know you’re angry with her, but this is Liv. She couldn’t do this.”
“Aaron wasn’t so convinced.”
“He probably wasn’t thinking straight. He was grieving. She couldn’t, and all you’re doing is taking your upset out on her.” She doesn’t answer. “Why are the police so sure he did it?
“Why do you think? Because he’s Aaron. Because he’s stupid enough to care about that sister of his.”
“Chas, Liv didn’t make him take the blame. He did that himself. Do you think he’d do that if he was convinced she did this? Can you actually hear yourself. Would you rather she was in there getting off her face to who knows what, all alone?”
“Yes!” She screamed, wide eyed. “She killed Ben, she should be the one suffering.”
“Well thank God for Aaron not inheriting your selfishness. I suppose you put the flags out when I sent those divorce papers.”
“Too right. You saved me the job of visiting to tell you to leave him be. He was happy after you. He and Ben were going to have a new life.”
“So he didn’t suffer at all? Didn’t miss me?” She hesitates. “I did what I did for him. So he could be happy, and I’m glad he was, but you, you’re just vindictive. You don’t care if he’s happy or not, you’re just glad he was with someone who wasn’t me and who didn’t encourage him to think for himself no doubt.”
“You’re right, and if it hadn’t been for Wendy you’d still be where you ought to be. Everyone else might’ve forgotten Katie but I haven’t.”
“And you’d rather that than me here, trying to help get your son out of prison and finding out who actually did kill Ben, while you sit in here with your petty hatred of me and of a young girl. Never change do you Chas?” He doesn’t wait for a reply, walking out, slamming the door behind him. Nothing she’d said had surprised him but it still hurt to hear it from someone he’d thought had actually begun to like him.
________
The next day he goes back to the pub to try again. He needed to know more if he was going to get anywhere. All he’s been able to achieve so far is talking to Vic and Seb on FaceTime. It wasn’t enough but for now it had to be. His little boy is amazing and the only thing that’s made him smile properly in two years. He only wishes he was sharing it with Aaron.
"You know what I always say, there's no smoke without fire." Robert stops just inside the door of the pub, hearing Pearl's voice. “The police don’t arrest people without evidence.”
"Old biddies like you talking about stuff you know nothing about isn’t evidence either, so why don't you go back to your dry Sherry and stop gossiping about someone you reckoned was like a grandson to you once upon a time.” He can’t stop himself.
"Well! I was only saying..!”
"Well don't...not if you want to keep drinking in here." Cain pipes up from the bar. “Drink Sugden?”
"Just an orange juice, How long has she been here?” He nods at Pearl.
"About half an hour. Not much support for our Aaron these days, except for you I hear.”
Robert nods and takes a seat at the bar as Matty pours his drink. He’s not surprised Cain is talking to him, he’d always prioritised Aaron over petty rivalry. He’d discovered the past few days just how little support there was for Aaron. Even Victoria had him convicted already, believing, like Pearl that the police must have evidence.
"Have you heard 'owt?" Cain murmurs, eyeing Chas glaring at them from the back of the bar.
“His solicitor called me back, he’s seeing him today and he’s going to call me later about a visit. Not how I saw my return going.”
"You and me we haven't always seen eye to eye but whatever you did, you did it because you loved him...just like you're helping him now. He hasn’t called any of us. At least he’s got you.”
“If he lets me in. Besides its no good if I can't get to the truth though is it? I take it you know.” Cain looks at him. “The truth.”
“Yeah…and unlike Chas I won’t be blaming anyone.”
“Good.”
“He made his choice and she couldn’t have stopped him if he’d made his mind up. He knew what people were saying, any road.”
“Like who. Liv mentioned Wendy, which isn’t a surprise.”
“Aye. She’d heard from Ben about Aaron bullying him at school.” Robert frowns but lets him carry on. “Somehow she got it in her head it was some kind of domestic violence.”
“Aaron wouldn’t…”
“Of course he wouldn’t but she was tellin’ anyone who’d listen, like the coppers.”
“Liv said he’d lost his job…Ben. What I don’t understand is why would anyone want to kill him?”
“No idea. He was too nice to upset anyone. All I know is Ben was suspended because of the accident on the survival challenge. He was the one doing all the health and safety with Billy and Ellis but it was only him got the blame.”
“Right, I better be off, I want to talk to Liv again, and then I’ve got another call with Vic and Seb."
Cain nods as he leaves and he can't help throwing another glare in Pearl’s direction for good measure.
As he steps out of the pub he pulls out his phone finding Billy’s number.
“Billy, it’s Robert. I need to talk to you about Aaron.” He rolls his eyes as the other man tries to make excuses. “I don’t care where you are, when you get back I want to see you. Don’t make me come looking.”
_____
His leg is twitching as he waits for Aaron. He’s breathing hard, he didn’t imagine it’d be so difficult coming here. It’s too soon he knows it is but he has to be here, has to see Aaron. It’s some kind of cruel twist of fate.
Finally he’s there and Robert can’t help smiling at seeing him again. He looks ok, not as bad as he imagined but then he’s not entirely sure what he’d imagined.
“Hi.”
“How are you?”
“What do you want Robert?”
“To get you out. Did your solicitor…”
“Yeah, but you…two years Robert. Two years and now you just want to ride in like my knight in shining armour?”
“I’m not going to apologise for trying to help you out. As for everything else, can it wait? We’ve only got an hour and there are more important things. Like stopping you being so bloody noble and how we’re going to get you out.”
“I’m not getting home this time Rob.” He looks at him, sees him biting his nails, itches to pull his hand away but he can’t.
“Yes you are because you didn’t do it.”
“How do you know?”
“Because I know why you’re here.” He lowers his voice. “What were you thinking Aaron? Putting yourself back in here.”
“I didn’t choose to!”
“You did. I know what happened, I know you thought Liv might’ve done it. Come on Aaron, you must know she’s not capable.”
“You haven’t been here to see her! She’s hit Vinny, attacked Noah, thrown stuff at me. You don’t know anything.”
“You really believe she could’ve killed someone in cold blood? I looked it up…she’s not capable Aaron, come on.”
“He was my boyfriend!”
“I know. Look, I’m sorry, really I am, but blaming Liv isn’t going to get him back. She’s got your whole family against her and she thinks you hate her. I know you, I know you don’t really think it.”
“You seem to know a lot given you’ve only been around a few days.”
“I know everything I need to except for who actually did it. So, how do we get you out and keep her out of trouble?”
“I know you like to think you can solve everything Robert but you can’t. Not this time. I’m not getting out because if I do they’ll come for her. She’s my sister. Whatever I think I’m not seeing her in a place like this again.”
“Oi, I told ya, you can’t think like that. I haven’t even got started yet. I’m here aren’t I? We never thought that’d happen.”
“How’d you get out.” He goes through it again, watches as Aaron’s face changes.
“So you cut me off for nothing?”
“No…you know why I did that, I told you in the letter.”
“All that letter told me was that you were doing what you always do, what you think is best and no matter how much it hurts.”
“It was fourteen years Aaron. Bad enough when we thought it could be five! No way was I subjecting you to that.”
“That was my choice!” He slams his hands on the table. “But no, you decided, you cut me off, divorced me, left me with no way of seeing my son for months, but it’s ok because you know best.”
“I didn’t…I had no idea Rebecca wouldn’t let you see Seb.”
“No, exactly.”
“I’m sorry. I thought…I thought for once I was doing the right thing.” Aaron scoffs. “I did. Do you think it didn’t kill me to do it, to send those papers? I had to, I couldn’t be waiting for the day that you didn’t turn up any more, that you met someone and the journey became too much, or you had something better to do. That would’ve hurt more.”
“I wouldn’t…”
“Well you moved on within two years Aaron.”
“Don’t. You don’t get to do that. I would never if you hadn’t done what you did. You don’t get to say a word about that.”
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to.” He sighs and looks at his watch. “We don’t have long. Is there anything you can think of that can help get you home? Once you’re home you can yell at me as much as you like.”
“I’ve been through this with my brief, no. I was at the pub but I was out the back some of the time so there’s no alibi for then.”
“Did you call anyone?”
“Ben when I first went out back but that doesn’t help, the HOP’s not that far away so…it’s pointless Robert.”
“It’s not. I just need to find who actually killed him.”
“Yeah. That easy is it?”
“Liv said you were moving away.”
“He couldn’t find work round here, seemed like the perfect plan. I had nothing left to stay for did I?”
“Did you love him?” He doesn’t answer. “Sorry, not my business.”
“No, it’s not.” The bell rings and Robert sighs.
“Will you let me visit again?”
“Why?”
“Why do you think?”
“You can’t just pick me back up when you feel like it.”
“Like I say, I promise you, you’re coming home and then you can yell at me for being stupid.”
“And then what?”
“Then…whatever you want. Your boyfriend just died Aaron, I’m not going to step on any toes. I can be your mate if nothing else.”
“But you want more than that.”
“What do you think? What I want…you, me, Seb having the life we deserve.”
“You’ve just decided that have you?”
“I…you asked what I wanted. I…I know you don’t want that, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to help you.” He missed him, as much as he wanted him, he knew it wasn’t likely going to happen. He’d moved on.
“I didn’t say that.” Aaron sighs. “I just lost…Ben, and I’m stuck in here and I can’t see and end to it but…getting that visiting order…it’s the first thing to make me properly smile for ages.”
“Well then. Everything else can be sorted out later.”
“You really think you can get me out?” He asks again as they stand up, like if he says it enough it might come true.
“Yes. Done it before haven’t I?”
"Why do you have so much faith in me. I could've changed…I could’ve done it.”
"Have you? Changed I mean.”
“Maybe…not like that…”
"Ok...did you do it?” He doesn’t need to ask but he senses Aaron needs to hear him do it even though he’s innocent.
“No."
"That's that then. Trust me Aaron, I'm going to get this sorted out and then you're going to come home and cuddle Seb, and then you're going to yell at me for being a fool.”
“Is Liv alright…did she tell you she’d been drinking again?”
“She’s ok, worried about you, and yeah she told me. I’ll keep an eye on her. Is there a place she goes, a group or anything?” He nods. “I’ll see if she wants to go back. Your Mum…maybe give her a call. She’s worried out of her mind. I’ll look after Liv until you’re out and can do it yourself.”
“I can’t think about that.”
“I get it, but when it’s over…me and you, we’ll do whatever you want.” He nods and for the first time that afternoon there’s a spark of something in his eyes. “I’ll see you soon.”

Hello! How are you? 5 (or less) times Deckard saves the crew + 1 time the crew saves him? Love u
I'm doing pretty well, friend! Hope you are too! And I love these types of requests!! Because it's so nice to see Deckard saving his new family, and them loving him right back. Love you too 😘💕💕
~~~
Letty let out a moan as Dom touched her head, feeling the large bump on the back of it
"Sorry," he mumbled and withdrew his hand
"What happened?" She hissed as she tried to sit up and felt a wave of nausea
"The building collapsed." Dom told her simply. "We're trapped."
Squinting, Letty looked around and saw was not lying. All around them was rubble and no ways out
"Did you contact anyone?" She asked
"Radio's dead."
Letty sighed. Of course it was
"So, nobody knows we're under here?"
"I don't know."
"Damnit!"
They sat together, letting the silence wash over them. All they could do was wait for rescue and just hope the crew knew just where to look for them
Letty leaned her head against Dom's shoulder and let out a sigh. He took her hand and entwined their hands. She was about to speak when they heard something
"Toretto!"
They both jerked their heads around and could hear pounding against one of the walls of rubble keeping them trapped
"In here!" Dom shouted. He slowly helped Letty to her feet and they watched the wall of rubble slowly chip away
After a few minutes, they could see through the rubble. On the other side was Deckard Shaw
"Shaw, how'd you find us?" Letty asked as she hobbled next to Dom towards the opening Deckard was making
"Not that hard when I have you chipped." Deckard smirked
"You're joking. Right?" Dom looked at Deckard suspiciously
"With you lot, I better get you chipped." Deckard informed them and kept making the opening bigger for them to slip through
Dom and Letty simply glanced at each other
Deckard wasn't wrong
"Fuck!" Roman hissed in pain as he jerked on the chains keeping him suspended in the air.
His whole body hurt from when his captors had beaten him. His wrists were bruised and strained as he hung there
"Knock it off! You're just going to hurt yourself even more." Tej snapped from where he was hanging as well next to him
"How the hell do we always get into these messes?" Roman whined and gave up on tugging on the chains. "Can't someone else get captured and we save the day?"
"When you can actually learn how to take down a dozen armed guards by yourself, be my guest!"
"Hey! I'm getting better!" Roman snapped
They kept bickering, both knowing they were only doing it as a distraction from the possibility of dying in those chains
"Oi! Do you two ever shut up?" A voice snapped
Roman blinked as he saw Deckard standing on the other side of the bars of their cell
"What the hell are you doing here?"
"Rescuing your sorry arses." Deckard snorted. With barely effort he had the lock off the door in seconds and quickly unlocked them from their chains
Rubbing his wrists, Roman let out a breath of relief
Good thing Deckard was there to beat of the dozen guards for them
~~~
Ramsey let out a quiet whimper as yet another bad guy walked past her hiding spot. She clutched the stolen laptop to her chest and prayed for the man to go away
She had snuck into a terrorist group's base and stolen all of their information, which was all on the laptop
But she hadn't thought about how she was supposed to get out
Hiding under a desk, Ramsey knew that ever since the alarms had been pulled, she was a sitting duck. She couldn't fight them all off, even if she wanted to
Suddenly, she heard even more footsteps coming closer. The man who was prowling around the room spoke
"Did you find the intruder- gah!" He choked out
His body fell onto the floor, just in front of Ramsey. She had to cover her mouth so the new person wouldn't hear her terrified gasp
Shaking, she stared with wide eyes as a pair of boots walked close to the desk. The person crouched down and Ramsey was met with kind, brown eyes
"There you are." Deckard smiled at her and offered his hand
Lost on shock, Ramsey took his hand and let him pull her out from under the desk
"How'd you find me?" She asked
"I heard through the grape vine these guys got their hands on some serious tech and info. Seemed like something you'd want." He shrugged. "Now come on."
Being pulled through the endless halls of the base, Ramsey could only watch in fascination as Deckard took every single bad guy down
~~~
Deckard tried to take a breath, but he didn't seem to be able to get enough air. His lungs burned as he took another breath and he started to cough violently
The men who had kidnapped him must have broken more than just a rib
He weakly pulled on the metal cuffs that kept him secured to the wall, but they didn't budge. They seemed to be welded to the wall
Deckard blinked, but felt blood keep trickling into his eyes from the large gash on his head. It was almost enough to distract him from the knife wound in his thigh
He had no idea how he had gotten there
One moment, he was enjoying a pint st his favorite pub, and then he woke up to a beating by men he'd never even met
They had immediately had im secured and stripped down of all of his weapons. One of the men had knocked him out and he had woken up chained to a wall in a dark room
His head hurt far too much to even start thinking about he was going to get out of this
Closing his eyes, he felt himself drift, even though he knew no doubt had a concussion and shouldn't sleep
Suddenly, a loud bang drew him out of his haze
Weakly lifting his head, Deckard could see someone opening the door. Light burst into the room and blinded him
"Guys! I found him!"
Deckard flinched at the loud shout, and then again when he felt a large hand cup his cheek
"Hey, Deck. It's ok, we're here to help you."
Forcing his eyes open, Deckard felt his body relax from relief as he looked into Luke's eyes
He was going to be ok
~~~
I hope you enjoyed friend!

Correspondences below the cut.
0. The Fool: Ord Mantell
Ord Mantell is a planet of beginnings: you may know nothing of the game going in. The Fool is a beginner, a traveler, a novice, one who may not see the cliff that will plunge him into experience. The Fool’s journey will continue across the cosmos. Reversed: naivete, recklessness, foolishness.
1. The Magician: Korriban
Korriban is a planet of power disciplined (however tenuously) by will. Its ground is saturated with arcane knowledge and its abilities grasp at the sky. Fire and control: Korriban is a powerhouse. Reversed: manipulation, poor planning, wasted talents.
2. The High Priestess: Tython
Tython holds mysteries from the earliest days of the Jedi Order. It is lost and rediscovered. It houses the secrets that will be revealed in training only to the greatest devotees. Its lunar and veil imagery point to hidden mysteries. Reversed: hidden agendas, a need to listen to your inner voice.
3. The Empress - Alderaan
I could have continued with Hutta in game order but it doesn’t fit. Alderaan is a prosperous world, a monarchy, a place of lush vistas and noble generosity. Beauty, nurturing, and growing abundance are the watchwords. Reversed: creative block, dependence.
4. The Emperor: Dromund Kaas
Dromund Kaas is the claim of the Empire, a place of rigid rule and unquestioned power. A patriarchal figure rules over all, and the symbol of his influence is pictured here. Its foundations are ancient, its continued existence inflexible, its authority absolute. Reversed: domination, excessive control, inflexibility, but also self-discipline.
5. The Hierophant: Yavin IV.
Sorry, the Emperor does double duty. The ancient temple of Yavin IV was built by slaves, and is used to gather the power of the Emperor for mysteries they will never be inducted into – their service and their deaths both go through Him. The religion has an inviolate structure: conformity, institutions. Reversed: Personal beliefs, freedom, disrupting the status quo.
6. The Lovers: Nar Shaddaa and Nal Hutta.
Planets of choices, of two paths (Agent and Bounty Hunter?), and of Hutt-sanctioned passions. Here Balkar smooths problems over. Here Hutts are pacified, with gifts, with coups. Here, any time you look up from Hutta, you see Nar Shaddaa, its companion in space. Relationships, mutual interests, and choices are the rule. Reversed: self-love, disharmony, imbalance, misalignment.
7. The Chariot: Balmorra.
Strength under control: Balmorra forms the arsenal of whoever manages to possess it. It is a planet of action: the war rages across it while it stands as a fixed point, and in the end its interests win. The imagery of the dual blaster forms the matched pair of the Chariot. Reversed: self-discipline, but also opposition and lack of direction.
8. Strength: Corellia.
Corellia stands with battered dignity against the Empire, emblem of strength, courage, and influence. And persuasion, as the Republic forces convince CorSec and other elements of the government to throw off Imperial chains. Here Baras and Thanaton’s agents are knocked out from under them, reclaiming influence for the player. Reversed: Inner strength and raw emotion, but also self-doubt and low energy.
9. The Hermit: Tatooine
Yes, the correspondence of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Tatooine is a place of reflection and guidance, most obviously portrayed in the Sith Warrior vision quest. It is the planet where the Rakata have waited alone with their thoughts for millennia, preparing for their rebirth. It is the planet where the Smuggler earns a sensor computer to guide to a treasure. The light in the pictured skeleton’s eye is guidance for those who would follow it. Reversed: Isolation, loneliness, withdrawal.
10. Wheel of Fortune: Voss.
The turn of fate could be no other. The Voss are a deeply fatalistic people, believing in their Mystics’ visions to guide their lives. The player character can undergo a ritual to glimpse their future, and some get additional warnings - all relevant. The Wheel of Fortune is the turn of the universe, a card not just of good luck but of destiny. Reversed: Bad luck, resistance to change, broken cycles.
11. Justice: Manaan.
The obvious reading is the trial in KOTOR, where you must find the truth to clear a man’s name under the rule of law. The theme of balance underpins this planet: it is where players of each faction meet their opposite-faction ally in the Shadow storyline. Its entire ecosystem hangs in the balance in KOTOR. And the Selkath Force users reject the duality of Light and Dark. Justice is fairness and cause and effect. Reversed: unfairness, dishonesty, lack of accountability.
12. The Hanged Man: Hoth.
Luke’s plight in ESB comes to mind. Hoth is a place of suspension, a frozen moment. To call it merely deadly is to pass over the equally apparent moments of transformation, the improbable alliance of Imp and Pub against the Hailstorm Brotherhood, the return of Temple to the Imperial fold, the escape of Horak-Mul in his new form: you. The Hanged Man is a martyr, but also someone discovering something new. Reversed: delays, resistance, stalling, indecision.
13. Death: Makeb
Makeb is a planet of cataclysmic transformation: a breaking core birthing a totally new resource. The transition breaks alliances and endangers the planet, but it is a change, not an end. Reversed: personal transformation, resistance to change, purging.
14. Temperance: Odessen
Lana said it first: Odessen is balanced in the Force, neither dark nor light, and it is here that your faction-spanning Alliance finds its home. Temperance stands with fellow virtues Strength and Justice, but where Corellia takes sides and Manaan rejects them, Odessen partakes in good measure of both sides of the equation. Reversed: imbalance, re-alignment.
15. The Devil: Belsavis
Belsavis is a prison planet, hard-bitten survival and chains that never break. Sometimes that seems wise, like with Darth Ekkage, and sometimes it’s patently unjust, like with Dagger Wing. The Devil is a card of sensuality (not pictured), addiction, and slavery. It is concerned with the material: the aspects of reality most immediate and easiest to cling to. Reversed: releasing limiting beliefs, exploring dark thoughts, detachment.
16. The Tower: Ziost.
Ziost will always be remembered as a disaster, an act of an enemy beyond defense. Ziost was destroyed in a moment that revealed the Emperor’s true scope. The Tower, too, is a thing of upheaval, chaos, and destruction. Reversed: Personal transformation, fear of change, averting disaster.
17. The Star: Ilum.
Above the stillness of a frozen lake, a star streaks over heaven’s field. (There’s a little orange one moving from top left toward middle right just upward from the main streak.) Ilum was home to Darth Malgus’s hope for a new Empire. It houses the Adegan crystals that promise new technology for those who persevere with purpose. At the same time, it houses Jedi ruins of peaceful spirituality. Reversed: lack of faith, despair, disconnection, self-trust.
18. The Moon: Quesh.
This was a hard selection, and Rishi almost took it. (Neither one has a visible moon in the sky.) But Quesh is a planet of mystery, uncertainty, and illusion: Republic Admiral Monk’s reveal as an Imperial operative, the Warrior being lured to a mine, the Bounty Hunter being lured to a merchandising deal, the Consular finding the unacknowledged Attis station, Lord Scourge being a cryptic mystery…I could go on. Here a wall hides a significant zone of the picture. Maneuvering for advantage without tipping into outright war is a matter of sleight of hand for all involved. Reversed: release of fear, repressed emotion, inner confusion.
19. The Sun: Rakata Prime
Damned planet doesn’t have a sun in its skybox. Nevertheless! I like the glowy flowers. What better expression of raw creation than the Star Forge? But that’s old history, and the Force has recovered. Here is revealed the truth of the Revanites in the light of day. The immediate foe is vanquished and the path is clear. Warmth and vitality rule. Reversed: inner child, feeling down, overly optimistic.
20. Judgment: Taris.
Absolution and rebirth – for a battered planet and for a spoiler on the Endar Spire, long ago. Destruction has come and gone, leaving only a new beginning. Reversed: self-doubt, inner critic, ignoring the call.
21. The World: Coruscant.
Is Coruscant the bright center of the universe? It symbolizes completion, integration, accomplishment, synthesis: the culmination of the Trooper and Consular questlines. And Ord Mantell, the Fool, leads directly into it, forming a complete circuit of the Major Arcana.

Come to Jesus || Fletcher & June
June: At precisely 8:03 p.m. there would be pounding on Fletcher's door followed by a very familiar voice shouting, "Fletcher Bradley Goodman!"
Fletcher: A text would vibrate her phone a moment later.
{Text} Still downstairs why are you shouting
June: June looked at her phone and went downstairs to plant herself in front of the shop door. She was carrying a takeout container and her jacket looked slightly...bulkier than usual. And to say she looked pissed would be the understatement of the century.
"Fletcher Bradley Goodman, you let me in right now!"
Fletcher: The shopkeeper lumbered to the door. His beard thicker their last meeting. His back was somewhat hunched, elongating his blue cardigan.
His greeting, "Ya pregnant?"
June: "That's what you're gonna say to me?!" She brushed past him and into the shop. "Not 'hey, June'? Not 'how's it going, June'? Not 'hey June, I decided to pop the question to Marion Weber and didn't tell you'?! What the hell is wrong with you!"
Fletcher: "Uh... Sure, come on in, Junebug. How ya been? What's eatin' ya?" The shop door was locked behind her.
June: "YOU'RE EATING ME!" She shoved the takeout container at him the moment he turned back around. "Eat this dinner I brought you!"
Fletcher: "M'I eatin' you or the takeout?"
June: "Ye-both! Eat the damn takeout and while you're at it you can tell me what the hell you're thinking!"
Fletcher: "Why ya mad? She ain't done nothin' t'ya." He sniffed the container and peeked inside.
June: Inside the container were homemade enchiladas and rice. Not from a restaurant, but from her own kitchen.
"Why am I mad? Fletcher, there's no way you're that blind! Don't you see what she's doing?!"
Fletcher: "She ain't doin' anything. M'the one that gave her a ring."
June: "She's manipulating you! She's taking advantage of you! She's inserting herself into your life and trying to drain what's left of it!"
Fletcher: "She's been in my life since middle school, June. Don't talk 'bout shit ya know nothin' about."
June: "Yeah, and what did she do while ya'll were in school? Was she a good honest friend who had your best interests at heart or did she purposefully lie to you and hurt you?"
Fletcher: "We were kids."
June: "There is no justification or excuse for what she did. She knew exactly what she was doing and I would bet money she would do the same now. The way she treated you is not how you treat someone you call your friend. That's not how you treat someone you've known for years, someone you've talked to and laughed with and shared experiences with. You don't sabotage their life and don't pick up the pieces just to rub them in your face. The way she's treated you isn't how you treat someone you love, and I may have been too young to be there, but I do know a little something about loving you, Fletcher Goodman!"
Fletcher: Fletcher bit his tongue while she spoke, shaking his head with exasperation. This was not what he wanted; what he needed he couldn't say, but certainly he could express desires.
"Thanks for the enchiladas. Ya gonna have some with me, or ya gonna go?"
June: "You're out of your damn mind if you think I'm leaving."
A soft, distressed 'mew' could be heard coming from...somewhere. June hugged her arms around herself and looked away, taking a deep breath to fight off what she knew was coming.
Fletcher: "So uh... what's that about?" He pointed to her jacket.
June: A little ear poking up behind the zipper would answer his question.
"He's in a mood," she said to the wall, not trusting herself to look at Fletcher yet.
Fletcher: "Well, yeah, he's stuffed in your jacket." Fletcher tilted his head at his guest.
June: “He’s in my jacket because he’s in a mood. He’s been clingy all day.”
Socks had poked his whole head out and was attempting to nuzzle her chin as he purred.
Fletcher: "Well, then go home n'be with your cat."
June: “My cat is here and so am I.” She finally turned to face him again. Her eyes looked red. “I’m not going anywhere.”
Fletcher: "June, don't ya fuckin' cry over shit that don't need cryin' over."
June: “I’m not crying! And if I was I get to decide what needs crying!”
Fletcher: "Is this just gonna be ya yellin' at me? Ya can take that home wit'cha."
June: “I already yelled at home,” she muttered.
Fletcher: "What?"
June: “Nothing. Are you going to eat?”
Fletcher: "I guess, shit."
June: “Good. Let’s go.”
Fletcher: "What d'ya want t'come outta this?"
June: “I just...” She took a deep breath and shrugged. “I feel like you’re slipping into a fog and I’m losing sight of you.”
Fletcher: "Go'on now. Ya make it sound like some Darth Vader shit. M'still here."
June: “Are you?” June asked softly, eyes glistening in spite of herself. “I’ve barely seen you lately. When I have it feels like you’re not really present. All you do is work.”
Fletcher: "S'easier then waitin' for shit that ain't gonna happen," he said quietly.
June: “So you’re just going to settle? You’re going to pull away from your life and just be in a relationship your heart isn’t in?”
Fletcher: He threw his hands up and let the dead weight slap back on his thighs. "M'just movin' on."
June: “And I have nothing against you moving on, Fletcher. If I believed that you love her and she loves you, I would be the first person congratulating you. If you looked the least bit happy, I would be jumping for joy and promising to you and to myself to give her a chance and be nice. But honey, I don’t. I love you so much. More than I think you’ll ever understand. I want you to be happy. I want you to be with someone who’s crazy about you, someone who wants to see you thrive. Someone you’re in love with.”
Fletcher: Deep breath. He just couldn't lie to her as easily as he could everyone else. They could lie together, but not to each other.
"No one's gonna love me the way ya think they should, June. Just put that outta your head right now. Okay? These are the cards m'dealin'."
June: He was wrong. June believed with all her heart that he was wrong. But right now, she didn't think he was ready to hear it. "They don't have to be your cards. You don't have to settle for the deck you have, you can get a new one. If it's a...physical thing you're really after, I'll buy you as many lap dances as you want and rent you the prettiest, healthiest hooker in North Carolina, but please, Fletcher. Don't do this to yourself."
Fletcher: "June, I've already given her a ring. I'm already in this. Now, we're gonna eat this, alright? We're gonna eat n'we ain't gonna discuss it. Tell me 'bout your day n'what's goin' on with ya."
June: "Nothing is set in stone." And that was the last she would say of it. For today. There was no way she was letting her best friend in the world make such a giant mistake. Marion had done enough damage; June wouldn't let her do anymore.
"Let's go upstairs then. Socks wants to see his mom."
Fletcher: "Fine. Lemme finish up what I was doin'." He shook his head. He knew what Marion had done, but he was wondering who had opened their mouth specifically to June. So, with that in mind, "Who told ya?"
June: "Does it matter? It should've been you."
Fletcher: "I asked so I wanna know."
June: "Your question should be who didn't tell me. I heard it from three people, including my old pal Liv Garcia. She told me as loudly and publicly as she possibly could to see how I would react. You remember Liv, she used to keep everyone who would listen up to date on how many men had dumped me on any given week and tell them how much of a whore I was."
Fletcher: "How the fuck ya stay friends with these people?"
June: "I don't. She ran into the pub to tell me while I was in the middle of pulling a damn beer for a customer."
Fletcher: "N'who else?"
June: "What are you gonna do, kneecap them for tattling?"
Fletcher: "Maybe."
June: "I won't point out what that tells me. We both know."
Fletcher: "That I like my life t'myself?"
June: "You should've told Marion not to shout it from the rooftops if you didn't want anyone to know."
Fletcher: "She didn't shout."
June: "She might as well have. Tell one group of moms at the carpool area and the whole town knows in the next hour."
Fletcher: Fletcher reemerged from the back curtain with a frown. "Who else told ya?"
June: "One of the moms at the carpool lane was my sister-in-law. But at least she had the decency to tell me in private."
Fletcher: "People think we're datin' or somethin'?"
June: "My family does. And apparently so do a lot of other people."
Fletcher: "Did people just decide t'ignore Luke?"
June: "You haven't been out in public enough to receive their pitying looks."
Fletcher: "Sucks that Luke n'what's-his-face left, but they were here. Fuck people that forget that."
June: "People don't give a fuck about what doesn't affect them. They'll openly pick apart your life while you're standing off to the side bleeding out. I know that better than anyone."
Fletcher: "What's it matter what they say? Ya ain't in love with me."
June: “They don’t care what’s true or not. They’ll keep at it until some poor unfortunate soul gives them something else to yap about.”
Fletcher: "What matters more, that they say it at all, that it's about me with ya, or that m'throwin' in the towel with Marion?"
June: “I don’t give a damn about them. I give a damn about you, and I really wish you would too, Fletcher.”
Fletcher: He gestured to the door. Right now he cared about just moving to the next room.
June: All right then, into the next room. She did want Fletcher to eat a proper meal, she hadn't just come to yell at him. She hadn't been planning to yell either, it had just come out of her.
Fletcher: The last of the security system was coded in before shutting the door. June was led upstairs to his apartment. Some of Marion's clothes were strewn about on the couch and chair. The home itself had a distinctly sweet scent of her perfume. Like cotton candy and clean linen. He'd grown used to it years ago.
"Tell me somethin' nice."
June: June tried not to clench her teeth no matter how much she instinctually wanted to. Everything about that woman made her tense and angry and she wasn't entirely certain it was all to do with Fletcher. Marion had probably killed her in a past life.
She unzipped her jacket and let Socks out to go find his mom. "You've got a hell of a beard going."
Fletcher: "Thanks?"
June: "I'll think of something else here in a second." If she could manage to let go of her anger with Marion's shit everywhere.
Fletcher: "What, 'bout me?"
June: "Just in general." She took a deep breath. "I um, I saw Ryan Hawbaker today." A casual allusion to Pete without actually mentioning him. "He and Stella picked a name for the baby."
Fletcher: Plates and utensils were set aside. "Mm," was all he had to say on the subject.
June: "They're having a little girl. Graham is excited."
Fletcher: "That's their son?"
June: June nodded. "Yeah. He's turning 8 soon."
Fletcher: "N'what 'bout your family?"
June: "They're doing good. My brother's doing some renovations on the Hendricks house. They're thinking of selling it now that their daughter's off at college."
Fletcher: "Not one for passin' it along." Not exactly a question; something closer to rhetorical. "Gonna sit with me?"
June: "They would, but she and her fiance are moving to Seattle after they finish school." June nodded. "Of course. Couch or table?"
Fletcher: "Ya pick."
June: "Table then. Easier to cleanup in case the enchiladas make a mess."
Fletcher: He figured. He set the table and plopped into his seat. "What else has been goin' on? New boyfriend?"
June: "I would've told you if there was," she said pointedly. "But no, no boyfriend."
Fletcher: "Oh ya would, huh?" He heard that tone.
June: "You'd be the first person I'd tell."
Fletcher: "How 'bout that Kelly dude?"
June: "He barely speaks."
Fletcher: "Neither do I. Ya like them strong quiet types."
June: "Kelly's not looking. Bonnie came in one day with her tits barely covered and he didn't look once."
Fletcher: "That just means the man's got taste, Junebug."
June: June shook her head. "He's not after anything resembling a relationship with anyone. Just barely lets people try to be his friend. Or acquaintance even."
Fletcher: "Heard 'bout that." Saw more like.
June: "As far as I can tell, all Kelly does is work."
Fletcher: Hell, were they related? "Fuck em, then." His first bite and Fletcher was at peace with the world.
June: "He's a decent guy. Hard worker."
The tiniest smile curved her lips. "Good?"
Fletcher: "Mhm. I needed this."
June: "The food or the company?"
Fletcher: "Both," he said gently.
June: "You can have both any time you want. I've been trying to get you to go to the gym with me for like two weeks."
Fletcher: "Mm. Fine. Tomorrow or this weekend. Ya pick." He felt at his beard. He should trim, he knew, but just hadn't cared enough.
June: "Tomorrow." If it wasn't so late and they both didn't have to work in the morning, she'd take him tonight. This...whatever it was had gone on long enough.
Fletcher: Fletcher all but cleaned his plate, nodding his thanks before leaning back. He was staring off into space again, as he so often did. He wanted to ask about Peter, and in equal share didn't want to even think about him, his name, his face, no aspect whatsoever.
His mouth opened, closed.
Fletcher got to his feet to fetch a beer.
June: While Fletcher stared off into space, June stared at him, wondering what was going through that brain of his.
“What?” she asked softly.
Fletcher: "Hmm?"
June: “You looked like you were about to say something.”
Fletcher: "Nope."
June: “Okay.” She’d leave that be for now. “So what have you been up to since the last time I saw you?”
Fletcher: "Work, upstairs, drinkin', sleepin', repeat."
June: “Then I came at just the right time to shake up your routine.”
Fletcher: "Mhm. Want a beer? Or like... I got whiskey and apple juice?"
June: “Apple juice, please.”
Fletcher: "Nothin' else?"
June: “Nope, I’m good.”
Fletcher: "Wanna do a movie or somethin'? M'free t'night." Her drink was handed over.
June: “Oooh, yes! What should we watch?”
Fletcher: "Whatever ya want. You're in control of Netflix."
June: "Then I say we watch something fun and lighthearted."
Fletcher: "Shouldn't ya be goin' into the city with some girlfriends n'lil dresses havin' the time of your life? Or at The Brig or somethin'?"
June: “I’m right where I want to be, Fletch.” She tugged him down to kiss his cheek. “Spending time with you isn’t a consolation prize. It’s just a prize.”
Fletcher: The Samsa was easily moved. His hum like a rumble from a great beast. He looked much older than truth tonight.
"Fine."
June: “I mean it. Tonight we watch a movie and tomorrow we go to the gym. Maybe we can go for pizza after?”
Fletcher: "And negate all the gym?"
June: “Yes. It’s been way too long since we’ve had pizza.”
Fletcher: "We'll see. I dunno what she wants t'do tomorrow."
June: “Well, even if we don’t get pizza tomorrow we’re still going to the gym.” That shrew would not interfere with that.
Fletcher: "Kay. Said I would."
June: “Good. Now let’s watch this movie.”

Welcome Home, Tony!
Rounding up a week in Hollyoaks (17th-21st September 2018)
There are some things that just go together. Ste wouldn’t be Ste without a tracksuit, Leah wouldn’t be Leah without gallons of sass and Hollyoaks wouldn’t be Hollyoaks without Tony. This week, with a little help from Leah, Ste traced Tony to his ex, Julie Matthew’s, home and dragged him back to the village, and it was just in time...
As the week began, Diane was given more than just her sick daughter and missing husband to worry about as Ant refused to go to school without Dee Dee. Wanting to help, Ste set up a makeshift classroom at the hospital but, despite enjoying the lesson, Dee Dee suddenly got angry and attempted to leave the hospital. Diane was startled by her daughter’s outburst and things only got worse the following day when Dee Dee failed to recognise Tegan. With Dee Dee’s health continuing to deteriorate, Tegan and Diane were given devastating news when they were informed that Dee Dee’s treatment wasn’t working, and the Doctors wanted to try her on a course of chemotherapy. Having been through chemo twice herself, Tegan was completely against the idea and relayed her concerns to Diane, who told her that she had no say in Dee Dee’s treatment. Devastated, Tegan went to see James to find out her legal position, however, this was a decision she would live to regret when James, wanting to take revenge on Harry, turned up at the hospital and informed Rose and Dee Dee that they’d been switched at birth...
Following James’ revelation, Tegan, Diane and Tony were left to answer some difficult questions as they decided that honesty was the best policy. Both girls were confused about how the switch had actually happened whilst Ant just wanted to know who his Sister was. Later, as Tegan left the hospital, relieved that everything was now out in the open, she got a fright as Rose tried to make a run for it. When Tegan attempted to tell her off, she was left devastated when Rose told her that she wasn’t her Mummy. Meanwhile, Diane told Tony that whilst she was glad he was home and safe, she couldn’t forgive him for abandoning her and the kids when they needed him most.
Elsewhere, there was drama for the Maalik’s when the truth about Yasmine drugging Imran was revealed. It was all hands on deck at chez Maalik when Misbah announced that Auntie Kameela was coming for lunch, and everyone (except Farrah, it seems) would be expected to attend. Having arranged to meet Brooke, Imran was left angry and Yasmine worried that this would lead to violence, so she decided to drug him again. However, Misbah would end up discovering this when Yasmine went to the hospital to collect another prescription, and the pharmacist phoned Misbah to alert her. Just as Yasmine was forced to explain her actions to her shocked Mother, Imran began feeling unwell and Sami rushed him to hospital. The doctors found a large amount of sedative in Imran’s system and, despite Imran protesting otherwise, Sami came to the conclusion that his Brother had been taking drugs. Knowing how much trouble Yasmine would be in if the truth came out, Misbah decided to cover for her, even though it would lead to a suspension from work. Unfortunately, Imran found out what had really happened and punched Yasmine in the stomach, furious that, once again, Misbah had chosen to protect Yasmine.
Meanwhile, there was some fantastic material for Brooke this week as Darren and Nancy snuck a peek at her diary and realised that she was writing down everything that she had said and done. When they asked Brooke about it, she admitted that she blamed herself for Ollie’s abuse, as she’d seen Buster touch Ollie’s leg and said nothing. After reassuring Brooke that it wasn’t her fault, Darren and Nancy promised her that she could come to them if she ever felt anxious about anything in the future. However, that wasn’t quite enough for Darren, and he decided to create a chill-out space in Brooke’s bedroom where she could retreat to if things got too much. Despite initially reacting badly to the changes to her room, Brooke soon came round and admitted it wasn’t so bad.
Also this week, Ollie prepared to return to school for the first time since Buster’s abuse was revealed. However, despite having the support of Brooke and Imran, Ollie was left humiliated when he realised everyone was talking about him and ran off. When Mandy realised that he’d skipped school, she told him about her own experiences of abuse, and reassured him that they could move away and start again elsewhere if he really didn’t feel up to returning to Hollyoaks High. The conversation was overheard by a worried Ella, and she later confided in Nancy that Mandy was trying to drag her away from Hollyoaks for the second time in as many weeks. With Luke having received news that he would more than likely go to prison for his attack on Scott, Nancy feared that Mandy was preparing to run off with her mystery man, and decided that Luke should be told.
In other news this week, the McQueen’s settled in to life at The Dog, and Breda noticed a spark between Sylver and Mercedes, much to Sylver’s horror! Finally, Mac was keen to prove to his family that he had changed, however, James saw straight through his act and offered Sylver £10,000 to get rid of him by any means necessary.
5 Things We Learned This Week:
1. Lessons with Ste Hay could well be a thing. Ant and Dee Dee really loved the makeshift classroom Ste set up in the hospital, but just what could he teach them next? How to rock a tracksuit? How to fail at relationships? The possibilities are endless!
2. Keeping it in the family is totally acceptable for some people. Yes, they may only be second cousins or whatever, but Breda was far too keen to see Mercedes and Sylver shack up together!
3. There are perks to your daughter owning a pub. You can sit at the bar all day sipping cocktails and pilfering crisps. What a life!
4. Who needs explanations? Yes, Tony was desperate, but why would he go to Julie’s given that he had no time for her last time they saw each other? Especially when you consider that he has so many exes to choose from! Perhaps Julie Buckfield was the only actress available? Still, always nice to get a blast from the past!
5. There’s interesting times ahead for The Dog. Themed nights, possible celebrity appearances, karaoke, and daiquiri machines as far as the eye can see. Bring it on!
One Last Thing:
Special shoutout to three of Hollyoaks’ youngest stars; Lacey Findlow, Caelan Cobbledick-Manning and Isla Pritchard (aka, Dee Dee, Ant and Rose), who’re smashing it right now! I was really impressed with their performances this week and they handled some difficult material brilliantly. Bright things ahead for these three!

New Post has been published on https://travelonlinetips.com/why-howard-smith-wharves-is-the-hottest-place-to-be-in-brisbane-4/
Why Howard Smith Wharves is the hottest place to be in Brisbane
A once-derelict piece of prime land just 10 minutes’ walk from the Brisbane CBD has been transformed into the city’s hottest new dining and lifestyle precinct. Say hello to the Howard Smith Wharves.
The wharves were built in the 1930s to provide residents with work during the depression. Largely abandoned since the 1960s, that all changed in 2017 when work began to transform the heritage-listed sheds into a world-class destination for locals and visitors.
The Howard Smith Wharves are nestled between Brisbane’s iconic Story Bridge and the New Farm cliffs, with a 180-degree vista of the city skyline and river. AKA if you’re looking for Insta-worthy views, this is the place.
But it’s not just the outlook bringing the crowds.
A steady stream of restaurants, bars and event spaces – along with Art Series’ new hotel, The Fantauzzo – have opened since late 2018, making it one of the hottest places to be. Here’s the low-down:
Felons Brewing Co
Felons was the first kid off the block when it opened in a mammoth shed in the heart of the precinct in November.
It may be a big space, but it’s a chilled one. With its on-site brewery (producing four beers and one cider) and seating overlooking the water, it’s the perfect place to spend a summer’s day.
There’s also no chance you’ll go hungry at this modern gastro-pub. Aside from classics like burgers, fish and barbecue chicken, there’s also a 1kg rib eye steak ideal for sharing and an extensive menu of wood-fired pizzas with dough made using its Australian Pale Ale.
Felons also run tours and have plans to become a national beer brand. XXXX, once the staple in town has been seriously challenged by a slew of breweries in and around Brisbane.
Mr Percival’s
Arguably the jewel in the crown of the $200 million redevelopment is Mr Percival’s, an octagonal overwater bar perched directly under the Story Bridge.
Remember the pelican from childhood Aussie film Storm Boy? Well, it’s named after him. Since its opening in December 2018, Mr Percival’s has become Brisbane’s new go-to place to see and be seen.
We’re not in Kansas any more people, Brisbane is all grown up and it’s just as sparkly as the Emerald City.
The structure and its interior were created by design guru and local Anna Spiro (she of Halcyon House fame). And just like the Howard Smith Wharves, Mr Percival’s is a destination. It’s a get-dressed-up-for-a-night-out kind of place.
The DJs stand on top, that’s right, of the stacked, octagonal mirrored bar and it’s not uncommon for them to be joined by saxophonists and bongo players. When the sun goes down and the city lights turn on, the party really gets going. But it’s not all party, party, party.
The expansive deck overlooking the river means there’s plenty of room for a leisurely lunch or dinner.
The menu is based around seafood, we are in Queensland after all, and is headed by acclaimed chef Damien Styles. Treat your taste buds to three different types of caviar (eaten off the back of your hand, no less) or dive into some lobster rolls as well as freshly grilled scallops, octopus and Mooloolaba king prawns.
Trust us when we say they go perfectly with champagne and cocktails at sunset.
Greca Restaurant
The man behind Sydney’s famed restaurant The Apollo has finally ventured north of the border to give Brisbane his own take on the food of the gods.
Jonathan Barthelmess’ contemporary Greek taverna, which opened on December 8, is hidden amongst the olive trees inside one of the renovated buildings.
If you can’t decide between classic favourites like dolmades, spanakopita and lamb shoulder, then why not go full Greek, quite literally, and have it all?
Do as the Europeans do and share the Full Greek set menu with your family and friends. Or if that isn’t enough to satisfy your festive hunger, there’s also the Almighty Aphrodite and The Apollo Feast.
Don’t forget to be a sticky beak and check out the private dining area upstairs, nestled high above the beams in the roof.
ARC Dining and Wine Bar
Star Sydney chef Alanna Sapwell migrated north to become head chef of this new offering, which, alongside Felons, Mr Percival’s and the event spaces, has been created by the people behind the Howard Smith Wharves redevelopment.
Sapwell left hatted fish restaurant Saint Peter to take up the helm and we couldn’t be happier.
Located at the New Farm end, there’s a coffee counter facing out to a grassy knoll for casual catch ups while inside the beautifully designed restaurant and bar, the Story Bridge takes centre stage through floor-to-ceiling glass.
Betty’s Burgers
Noosa’s famous burgers have made the move south and settled into prime position underneath The Fantauzzo hotel.
With its classic line-up of Shake Style-esque burgers, onion rings, fries, frozen ‘concrete’ desserts and A+ family vibes (and price-point) it’s understandably already a favourite.
Still to come…
A yet-to-be-named Japanese izakaya and bar is coming from the team behind Greca, inspired by Jonathan Barthelmess’ time spent living in Tokyo.
Expect the two-storey space to open by October – word on the street is upstairs will house a carefully curated whisky bar.
Thinking outside the box
The group behind the Howard Smith Wharves unashamedly want the area to be Brisbane’s hottest food and beverage precinct.
But with more than 80 per cent of the area allocated to public space, they also want to reacquaint people with the river.
Chief executive officer Luke Fraser says they want people to walk, ride and scoot through the grounds, while also taking time to sit and enjoy the surrounds.
Along with regular beer yoga outside Felon’s, expect outdoor festivals, markets and pop-up marquees.
Coincidentally, the 2.7 hectares of natural parkland means there is also plenty of greenery to lie down on after you’ve sampled all of the culinary options on offer.
The boardwalk along the river’s edge and the footpath behind the wharves connect with the New Farm River Walk and another that leads into the city.
Two lifts have also been installed to help people get from the top of the cliffs to the precinct below, while a new City Cat stop is expected to open in 2020.
The Howard Smith Wharves are located under the Story Bridge, at 5 Boundary St, Brisbane City.
Have you been to the Howard Smith Wharves? Tell us in the comments below.

ODD MAN OUT The Hope Theatre 26th July – 12th August 2017 Presented Ripley Theatre in association with Black Coffee Theatre ‘a unique and stirring night of theatre’ ★★★★ ‘When you aren’t comfortable at home where can you go?’ This is the tag line for the ‘Odd Man Out’ evening at the Hope Theatre. Two one-man shows about men who find themselves unable to fit in at home, in their cultures, in their societies. We follow these two characters on very different physical and emotional journeys, exploring the pain and consequences of being the odd man out. - Rabbit Skin Written by Dominic Grace First up is Rabbit Skin; the story of a young man and his place within his close familial unit, his brother and his dad. An avid reader of books and a fervid storyteller, it’s time for Joe to tell us his own story. Rabbit Skin gave me Dark Vanilla Jungle vibes; a young protagonist with unusual particularities, who weaves together a story full of poetry, humour and menace, as they work their way distractedly to the awful, inevitable ending of their tale. Rabbit Skin challenges the notion of male narratives. Within the play, we are given old Irish tales and folk lore, alongside contemporary tales of Joe’s father decking someone in a pub. What’s striking in this play is the way in which love and violence are inextricably linked in the lives of men. Our protagonist Joe, most like his mum, according to his older brother, slowly buckles under the weight of expectation, under the weight of history that dictates the ‘desired’ qualities of ‘man’. And it’s heart-breaking to watch. Joe was performed brilliantly by Luke Adamson. Adamson’s physicality was meticulous from the moment he was on stage until the final blackout. And most impressive was his shifting accents; journeying seamlessly from Northern English, to Irish, to Scottish. Adamson is clearly a remarkable actor, and played what could’ve been melodramatic moments with a gut-wrenching sincerity. This is an important script and a vital story, made all the more powerful by a gifted performer. - Diary of a Welshcake Written by Lesley Ross The second piece of the night signalled a mood change. Beginning with the Welsh national anthem and the handing out of Welsh cakes to the audience, Gregory Ashton was a warm, amiable presence as he invites us to journey with him from the valleys, to Japan, and back again. The fourth wall is non-existent here; Ashton addresses the audience directly throughout. He puts questions to us about cultural identity and cultural pride; how does being away from your homeland effect your identity and your perception of yourself? Is it possible to reinvent yourself by moving halfway around the world? What are the expectations men specifically fell regardless of where they are? These questions are never challenges, they are quietly put into the air, with curiosity, and he discovers the answers as he goes along. Ashton is infinitely likeable, and never takes himself too seriously, even in the darkest moments of the story. A highlight was a surprise dream sequence which included some audience involvement; some perfectly pitched levity during the heavier section of the play. Diary of a Welshcake is a charming, moving, and modest show. Although it tells the tale of one particular man, it is relevant for any man (or anyone in fact) who sometimes doesn’t feel at home in their home, or has moved away from home and found their identity uprooted by the process. Enjoyable and essential watching. Odd Man Out is a unique and stirring night of theatre, and although it isn’t all happy endings, ultimately it offers comfort and hope to anyone who’s ever felt like they didn’t belong, which if we’re honest, is all of us. It’s an odd time to be alive, and no one is more uncomfortable than Dollar Signs. Hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina, a place that’s full of rash ideology that has seen its fair share of conflict. Dollar Signs was the project of Erik Button and Luke Gunn, a folk punk duo that sang anthems of awkwardness and discomfort as the 2000s closed out its first decade. Come 2012, the band had grown up and added two new members, Dylan Wachman, who screams and plays bass guitar, and Arion Chamberlain, their lovable drummer. A two-piece turned full-band provided Erik with a means in which to write more complex songs with big hooks and powerful choruses - anthems for the disenfranchised twenty-somethings and teens alike.
There’s a fear to growing old in a world that doesn’t care about you, and Dollar Signs can relate; as a diverse group of friends who try to solve their problems in sweat-soaked rooms and dingy basements, singing and dancing away the fear. It’s group therapy for weekend warriors who have to work jobs that they hate. It’s a gala of cheap beer and sweaty hugs. Dollar Signs may as well be the band that played on the deck of the Titanic as it sank into the freezing ocean. We’re all in this together, and Dollar Signs knows that. After the release of their self-released full length album, Yikes, the band has been hitting the road and getting acquainted with the van - and now two tours, three blown tires, a branded hot sauce, another guitar player named Eric, and a family-size box of Tums later, they’re ready to do it again. This may not last forever, but for now, while there’s still a tinge of hopelessness in the air, Dollar Signs needs to party with you, because it’s the only way to survive the times.

You said you had a WIP of a shapeshifting au for the Shaw sibs? I. Am. Intrigued.
Did I? 👀 Do I have a secret admirer of my streams?
Also, I posted a shape-shifting Au earlier today if you want to go check that out as well
But for now, here's a snippet of the Au!
~~~
Following Hattie, Luke was confused as to why she was bringing back to Deckard's hidden garage under a pub
She had called him, completely frantic and talking over herself about Deckard being captured by Eteon
Of course, Luke told her he would helped her rescue him. He didn't want the man to get hurt, not after they had just started to get along
Arriving in London, Luke had expected to be whisked away to MI6 and given dozens of could weapons and the plan on rescuing Deckard
Instead, Hattie had brought him to the bunker, explaining nothing
Looking around, Luke noticed one of the cars were missing, but everything was the same
Except...
"What the bloody fuck is he doing here?" Owen Shaw snapped at his little sister
"Saving your brother's sorry ass." Luke snapped back and smirked when he watched Owen puff up like an angry cat
"Knock it off!" Hattie hissed at them both. "He's here to help, Oh. Deal with it."
"We don't need his help!"
"Yes we do!"
Luke stood back as brother and sister stepped closer together and argued in each other's faces
"Hattie, we can handle this ourselves, he's just going to be a waste of space."
"You're a waste, Oh!" Hattie growled. "We need him because if we're caught, then we're dead! They already caught Deck, they could catch us just as easily!"
Luke frowned
What was she talking about?
Either way, Owen did not look happy about that fact
At all
"I don't like this." He scowled
"I don't either." Hattie sighed, her anger falling away and bring replaced by sadness. "But we need all the help we can get."
Owen shook his head and walked away towards all of Deckard's computers. Hattie stood where she was, staring after Owen
Walking up to her, Luke watched Owen as well
"He always this bitchy?"
"Yeah." Hattie chuckled
They were quiet for a moment
"What were you talking about, if they caught Deckard, they can catch you? Why can't he get away?"
Hattie's face twisted and she sighed again
"I think it'd be easier to show you."
Raising an eyebrow, Luke watched her carefully. She took a step away from him and stood still
Suddenly, her body moved
Her body grew smaller and sleeker, her clothes disappearing and changing into fur. Suddenly, a beautiful cheetah was standing where Hattie had been
"What the hell, Hatts?!" Owen screamed
Just as quickly, Hattie was back to her normal human shape
"It's fine!" She yelled back. "He needed to know! If he's going to help, he needs to know what he's going into!"
"I didn't bloody agree to this!"
"I don't care!" Hattie screamed back. "We need to get to Deck before Eteon bloody dissects him!"
The whole while, Luke could only stare at where the cheetah had been
He was dealing with shape-shifters
~~~
I hope you enjoyed friend!
