This week got me feeling like everything is pointless and I feel like I've been sucked into some void... I probably just need to feel the sun on my face 😶🌫️

Cinch had three charges in her care once, Celestia entrusted her with the day-to-day care of Prince Blueblood, the new Princess Cadence and her student Sunset Shimmer - running a kingdom is difficult enough alone without three young ponies to look after - so when Celestia is absent (often) that means Cinch was in charge of these three ponies. And while the matron of the castle was always rigid about rules and wanted her three charges to uphold her reputation and to build their own budding reputations high, she cared about them very much. You'd have to, spending your time with the same three young ponies for so long, guiding and teaching them to be their best...
By the time Ditzy came into the picture, Cinch was down to two charges. She refused to fail them the way she failed...
Well, with one down, there were two left and she cared so much she wouldn't let anyone ruin them, especially not themselves. Surely they would come to realize Cinch was only helping.

CLAMP I LOVE YOU
HELLO DOMESTIC COUPLE KUROFAI
Fai couches his reasoning in a way to figure out the timeline but he is making DAMN SURE his husband’s prosthetics are comfortable and working correctly
I NEVER DREAMED WE WOULD GET THIS KIND OF ATTENTION TO IT. Most manga would just say hey new arm moving on we don’t worry it’s perfectly the same as before
Not clamp! They really sat us down and brought in the realities of a long term health condition and an acknowledgment that things don’t just work perfectly or leave you completely as functional as before.
And THIS level of their relationship too. With Kurogane masking his pain and dismfort because they’ve got serious things go figure out but Fai was paying CLOSE ATTENTION and knew exactly what was up, but also deliberately arranged to be alone with him before talking to him about it out of genuine care for his privacy.
MARRIED MARRIED I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER
I
AM
IN
LOVE
OHHHHHH OHHHH I LOVE IT
LISTEN JUST GO BACK TO THAT FIRST PANEL THERE. LOOK AT IT. ENJOY IT. KUROGANE FORCING HIMSELF TO PUT ASIDE HIS PRIDE AND EMBARASSMENT AND ADMIT THAT YES, IT HURTS MORE THAN YESTERDAY
THE ANNOYANCE AS HE HAS TO ALLOW HIMSELF TO BE VULNERABLE TO ANSWER THIS QUESTION
THE WAY HE DOES IT ANYWAY. HE IS VULNERABLE WITH FAI.
And Fai immediately clocks him in the head for not mentioning it earlier.
Not recommended in real life but EXQUISITE when your husband is like a 6’6 slab of hardened ninja beef, and also when that was essentially the same way you confirmed your marriage to each other not too long ago
New way for them to ignite their playful banter: unlocked! Instead of Kurogane chasing Fai with a sword it’s Fai hitting him in the head and Kurogane reacting in cartoon outrage. (This is Kurogane after all. He can dodge a punch) (Unless we are also saying that he was so emotionally vulnerable that he let his guard down completely which I am also a fan of. It's a win win scenario)
I suppose it’s one way of encouraging your husband to open up to you when it matters, especially when you already drink his blood on a regular basis.
They really are the most married of all time.
OH AND THIS TOPS IT ALL OFF
THIS NEW DYNAMIC, SO DIFFERENT FROM ANYTHING THEY HAD BEFORE
Not Fai lying or avoiding the question or hiding any part of himself - Fai being completely honest and open and correcting Kurogane when he isn’t doing the same. It's a complete inversion of how they were before, when Kurogane was the one pulling a reluctant Fai towards being honest.
And when Kurogane grumpily notes the irony of Fai being the one to admonish him for keeping secrets (Oof, but also score) Fai OWNS IT, SMILES BRILLIANTLY, and uses it as AMMUNITION to back himself up. Who ELSE is an expert in the consequences of keeping things a secret for too long?
BRILLIANT BRILLIANT LEAVE ME HERE IT’S ALL I NEED

Montresor is the Bad Ending of White Raven II: Electric Bogaloo
(I had posted this as a reblog of the other one, but then I realized it gets completely lost, so I made it a separate post).
So I came back to this thought after the last few chapters where we saw several new interactions between Annabel and Montresor. So why not retrace my steps and add some new information?
I mean, yeah, yeah, Girlboss and all that. We already know that Annabel is a show woman, so turning this back into some sort of show as a demonstration of power is very much in line, but...why?
I think I have a theory, but let's take it one part at a time.
I think what these chapters have told me is that Annabel is much more aware of her similarities to Montresor than I expected.
Without going any further, he comments on it:
And can we stop at Annabel's reaction when he does?
Montresor made the wrong move, and here's the result: about to become an orb, under someone else's thumb, helpless and flailing desperately to hold on to what dignity he has left. This is what awaits her if she takes one wrong step.
And as if all of this wasn't uncomfortable enough for Annabel to contemplate, there is one last thing in this situation that, I can't help but think, terrifies her the most.
There are winners and losers in this game. Those who succeed and those who fail.
Montresor has definitely lost this game, at least for now.
And this was Lenore's face when she saw Montresor for what he really is: a pathetic, frightened charlatan with no tools other than the manipulation of his allies. And again, a loser.
I can see why Annabel would do this whole show as a way to exert power. Because she is all of those things...except the last one.
Presenting herself as a winner is, from Annabel's point of view, the only thing that keeps her from being Montresor's equal in Lenore's eyes.
A desperate pantomime that tries to draw a line.
"I'm not like him. I'm on the winning side, I can get through this, I'm not afraid. Please don't throw me away, let me prove to you that I can be useful, let me do this for you."

write on the black lives matter movement in ways that make liberals uncomfortable: get your blog banned and vilified as a 'russian psyop', which @staff has never addressed afaik.
be black and trans with a blog: get your blog banned due to racist & transphobic reporting and hard-to-miss transphobic moderation
comment too loudly on obvious transphobic discrimination: get your blog banned with no warning or explanation, then get harassed by the ceo of tumblr
comment on shockingly inappropriate and law-breaking level of personal harassment by the ceo of tumblr: get your blog banned with no warning or explanation
and the cherry on top is 'hello fellow kids, we already sold your data, artwork, writing, and personal diaries but we promise we can un-sell it! we just need every single user to tell us they don't want their data scraped, because we assume everyone wants their privacy violated!'
