Hello Elodie! Thank you for answering my last Killie ask, I'm enjoying him immensely. I have a twofold question, if that's alright - in the post about Killie's guilty pleasures, you said that he's not sure what Derek gets out of their relationship. If Derek was asked what he loves about Killie, what would he answer? And how would Killie respond if Derek said that to him, as he looks like someone who'd rather be dunked in a vat of acid than take a genuine compliment?

A rúnsearc (a ROON-shark). Irish, literally “secret love,” contextually “beloved,” an over-the-top endearment. The kind of thing that Americans innocently have engraved on wedding rings, but which make someone like Killie want to claw his skin off.

Derek looked this up with the best of intentions, not realising the nuance of Irish endearments, thought that a Rune Shark sounded like a kind of Creature, much like Killie, and could not help himself: oh I am USING that.

Killie, vibrating violently between horror and love, didn’t manage to articulate his feelings on the matter before getting petnamed Sharky.

Charlie, also shocked and horrified, but also laughing his ass off, has offered to explain matters to Derek, because fuck me, you can’t actually be letting him?? And Killie has said, gruffly: don’t.

So without Derek realising it, Killie nobly suffers the deepest pangs of his soul in silence, every bloody day.

And without Killie realising it, Derek is being extremely careful to love him - in every other way - while being appropriately cool about it, and nobly not picking Killie up and squeezing him like a teddy bear, even when he really wants to, but is cool and sarcastic and firm with him, because that’s what Killie wants; if you’re too sweet with Killie, he runs away. So he pretends to be very chill about a lot of things that he is actually not at all chill about, every damn day.

Star Wars!Sterek pt.3

Derek, after putting his armor and helmet back on, carried Stiles back to the Lycan and checked him for any visible injuries. Assuming the younger man was gonna be out for a while, he went about checking and fixing parts of the ship's vitals/mechanics he deemed necessary until he ultimately went to just watch over Stiles. Some hours later, sat across the cot Derek watched as he finally awoke...

Stiles: (stretching) Ughhh, (turns his head and jumps when he sees Derek) Ahh! Oh my Maker

Derek: (slightly amused but doesn't move or say anything) ...

Stiles: ... (waits a bit to see if he'll say anything) Are you okay? I didn't mess anything up did I?

Derek: ...

Derek: You're a jetii

Stiles: ...

Stiles: No. I'm force sensitive. (looks down at his hands and starts to fidget with them) My mom taught me, just like her dad taught her. He was the one who became a jedi, but he left to be with my grandmother

Derek: (a bit confused) ...How aren't you a jedi?

Stiles: (huffs a little laugh) For one? (gestures to his entire being) I don't have a lightsaber and I don't follow the traditional jedi mantra

Derek: What do you follow?

Stiles: (Shrugs) The same mantra my grandfather decided to follow after he married my grandmother, "Emotion, yet peace. Ignorance, yet knowledge. Passion, yet serenity. Chaos, yet harmony. Death, yet the Force."

Derek: What does it mean?

Stiles: For me and my family? Freedom. We get to live and make choices same as any "ordinary" being, practice the ways of both the light and dark side... (squints and purses his lips) well... within reason, and you know (blushes), love and marry whoever we want...

Derek: (blushes under his helmet remembering that they are indeed married now) ...

Stiles: I know our getting together was veryyy... of convenience? Since, you know, you were dying and you've told me how important your Creed is and how much of a disgrace it is for a Mandalorian to break the Creed and I didn't mean to force your hand in this or in-

Derek: (abruptly takes off his helmet and puts it to the side)...

Stiles: -uhhhhh

Derek: (gulps what little saliva he has, takes a deep breath and stands) I willingly gave you my name, and have now willingly shown you my face, because you are clan, and if you'd be willing to continue the riduurok, I wish to at least give you the symbol of my family

Stiles: (a bit surprised and blinking, then smiles his mischief in his eyes) Okay, (stands) I'll follow through in our marriage, (takes a small step closer) on two conditions

Derek: Anything

Stiles: (smile widening) After this bounty, (takes another small step forward) we will return to Naboo and we'll have a small wedding that my dad will be able to attend

Derek: (smiles and laughs a little) Okay, and?

Stiles: (takes one last step towards Derek) I want several kisses from my husband, whenever I want

Derek: (eyes wrinkling from how much he's smiling and walks to finally close the distance between them, and wrap his hands around his waist to pull him flush against himself) Is that all cyar'ika?

Stiles: (pleased, raising his arms to place over his shoulders and rest his hands behind his neck) Mhmm~

*Stiles just taking his time and getting his fill on finally being able to stare into his partners eyes and take note of his other features like his thick brows and seemingly soft hair. Meanwhile, Derek's also enjoying being able to fully explore the depths of brown and gold in his riduur's eyes, but is mostly loving how he gets to finally hold him in such a loving manner.*

Stiles: Derek?

Derek: Hmm

Stiles: I want a kiss

Derek: As you wish cyar'ika

I can't write it myself, but my Prodigal Son obsessed sister has mentioned over and over again that she thinks that if Malcolm was in the BAU and provided he didn't get shut them out and immediately transferred, that the extremely codependent nature of the Criminal Minds family would solve all of Malcolm's problems. She has specifically said that she'd like to see Malcolm and Reid interacting. Again, I can't write it myself, but posting in case it sparks inspiration in someone else

Something to note: Seaver is on the team for .02 seconds before Garcia digs into her and finds out she's the daughter of a serial killer and I fully believe it'd be the same case for Malcolm. Also please imagine Gideon from episode 5 fielding Martin's obsessive calls

the thing that fucks me up about rereading instructions for dancing is trying to pinpoint when it is that derek becomes obsessed with stiles and realizing the answer seems to be always. from the beginning. the moment they met. that poor bastard. he probably should have tried to be a little nicer about it, though, saved them both some hardship.

I think it slides so quickly from fear and annoyance that Stiles will steal Scott away to 'Oh no, oh fuck,' I'm not even sure Derek knows himself. Poor guy hamstrung himself by starting out with the 'I'm going to scare him away' mentality then wondering where the hell that went and trying to find it again through almost every subsequent interaction (while something so much bigger and so much worse - Derek's Thoughts™ - completely eclipsed it). Meanwhile Stiles also helps cultivate Derek's dickish-ness by assuming that original motivation to be his only interest in him at all, essentially until the moment Derek tells him he's in love with him.

Which is hopefully why it seemingly comes out of left field for Stiles and the reader, because that's what I wanted.

It's not a greek retelling or anything like that, but with my addiction to Epic: the musical and @gigizetz is designs...well my imagination got the best of me and I just needed a Stiles in nonmodern clothing, so this is another teen wolf au)

Derek: Oh, uh... not very well. Apparently if you get a score below 75%, they take away your pope rights.

This is part 2 of where I think Malcolm would fit into the team in a Prodigal Son/Criminal Minds crossover au

Morgan: I don't think he'd like Morgan for a while. Probably the least favorite on the team, which I do think would drive Morgan crazy. Morgan is very physically with the team, especially the male members, lots of like claps on the backs, playful shoves, hand in the hair, so on, and I feel like with Malcolm being raised like he was, and while he was trying so hard to play normal human guy, that it would really stress him out and bother him. This plus Morgan's canonical bouts of being judgmental, I just really think they'd clash and it'd take a while for them to find common ground.

Morgan always kind of thinks of it as his designated job to watch over the others and sort of monitor/protect them, and I think he'd be weird about Malcolm interacting with the others, in a very similar way that Garcia gets hostile to new people

Emily: While for like potential fic purposes, I want the dynamic to focus on Reid and Malcolm, I do think that realistically Emily would be his favorite. I just think that her personality would be very calming for him, and even when she pushes, its not in like a super invasive way like some of the others. I think her way of protecting the team, and giving them advice might be unwanted by Malcolm, again specifically at the beginning, but I do think he would hold a great deal of respect for her

Rossi: The role that Rossi fulfills for the rest of the team would probably fit just as well with Malcolm, though if Malcolm was there when Rossi first joined the team, I think that the little notebook, and Rossi going to the press behind their backs would drive him insane. Like I don't think Malcolm is always a great team player by a long shot, but I think being ignored would get to him, and depending on his relationship with the rest of the team by that point, watching how Rossi's behavior with the rest of the team also might set him off.

JJ: I really can't tell. I think they would get along just find, but I have a harder time getting a read on her character. I do think that Malcolm would gravitate towards her to start with, and hold hero worship for her during her communications liaison days, but I don't know if I can see them being like crazy close with her. I can see him connecting JJ with Ainsley though
