But things aren't too grim on this episode, as our host praises the way Nintendo reinvents the wheel with their free-to-play Tetris 99 battle royale game! And finally, after years of waiting, Hollywood brings us an anime-to-live-action adaptation we can all be proud of, in the form of James Cameron and Robert Rodriguez's Alita: Battle Angel!

2016年私的ベストアルバム邦楽編

少し遅くなりましたが、2016年の私的ベストアルバムランキングです。 まずは邦楽編！ よろしくお願い致します！ 10位 BABYMETAL / METAL RESISTANCE

メタルとエレポップを融合したような作風だった前作に比べ、かなりJ-POPに寄った作品になり、個人的にはかなりグッとくる曲が多かったです。 9位 岡村靖幸 / 幸福

ついについにリリースされた岡村ちゃん新作。 80年代の全盛期が再来したかのような充実ぶり。 雑誌の連載等、メディアへの露出もコンスタントにしているので、今後の活躍に本当に期待。 8位 GLIM SPANKY / Next One

説明不要、注目の男女ユニット。完全に舐めてました。 出た出た、昔のロックをリスペクトしてます系の女ボーカル、どうせラブサイケデリコとかSuperflyの下位互換でしょ？と。 しかし、マジでジャニス・ジョプリンが生まれ変わったのか？と思うほどのインパクトある歌声と、耳に残るメロディ、勢いのある演奏にその印象は覆されてしまいました。 デリコのブルージーさ、Superflyのポップさ、detroit7の勢い、うまい具合にその中間にいるバンドだなと。 同じカテゴリーでありながら、すき間にうまーく入ってきたなと。 イイ感じです。次の作品でもう一発アンセム的な曲を作れれば、かなりビッグな存在になれると思います。 7位 ユニコーン / ゅ 13-14

前作の「イーガジャケジョロ」が個人的に微妙だったので心配だったのですが、再結成後の作品としては「Z」に続いて好きな作品となりました。 お馬鹿でご機嫌な作品に仕上がってます！ 6位 ももいろクローバーZ / AMARANTHUS・白金の夜明け

2作品ですが、同時発売かつ繋がりを持った作品なので、1作品扱いとします。 相変わらず素晴らしいクオリティ。バラエティ豊かで飽きさせません。 5人の成長も感じさせる仕上がりで、良作です。 5位 宇多田ヒカル / Fanôme

宇多田ヒカル久々のリリースで、大いに話題になった本作。 内省的で暗めの作風でポップさに欠ける印象ですが、良質な作品だと思います。 重さがありながらも、収録時間が長くないためにサラッと聴けますので、けっこうリピートしてました。小盛りのカツ丼みたいな感じでしょうか。 4位 坂本慎太郎 / できれば愛を

期待を裏切らず、今回も素晴らしい作品でした。 ライヴを・・・ライヴをやってくれ・・・！ 3位 レキシ / Vキシ

今回もファンキー&ポップ&ファニーで、最高にご機嫌。 これまでの作品と比較しても、アッパーな曲が多いと思います。 元ネタを探したくなる、ビビッと来るフレーズも多かったのですが、ブラックミュージックに詳しくないために、モヤッとすることも多く、勉強しないとなと思わされました。 2位 BiSH / KiLLER BiSH

BiSHメジャー1作目となるアルバム。 以前書いたレビューでは批判的なコメントもしましたが、なんだかんだ好きでした。 1位 BiSH / FAKE METAL JACKET

BiSHワンツーです。 J-POP感とインディ感が絶妙に合わさり、そこにメンバーの魅力が乗っかることでカタルシスの海に放り投げられる最高のアルバム。 落涙するんじゃないかと思う瞬間が多々ありました。最高。 以上です。 BiSH好きすぎだろ！とツッコミが入りそうですが、本当にいま最も自分の心にめり込んでくる音楽なんです。 全体としても、今年もまたJ-POP寄りな顔ぶれになったなと。 ここ数年はインディを追っかける気が相当薄れてまして・・・。 17年はどうなるやら。今年も多くの音楽に出会えることを祈るばかりです。

Formed in 2001, detroit7 is a trio mixing rock, garage-grunge and alternative music. The voice of Tomomi Naban, leader, singer and guitarist, possesses both a hard and soft sound at the same time. Although the band's music is very appealing in their recordings, it's live that detroit7 give the best of themselves, full of endless energy.
