Becoming obsessed with improving my ingo cosplay, so now I'm working on making an actual pokemon team for scarlet that uses his pokemon so I can battle people at cons.

Since the Pokedex cut started in the Galar games, and since Galar is based on England, people have been calling the cuts "Dexit" as sort of a play-on-words for "Dex" and "Brexit."

Brexit is a thing that fucked over people financially and damaged the UK's economy. People are like "Game Freak having to cut the Pokedex is exactly like this thing that negatively effected real people financially."

I'm really glad that Galar wasn't based on Germany or Poland. Somebody already unironically called people who supports Sword and Shield Nazis once, so I wouldn't put it past some people to take it that far.

Hot take, Dexit should have happened sooner.

Gen 3 or Gen 5/6 would have been good times, I mean Gens 5 and 7 basically ARE mini dexit gens since there are a HUGE amount of Pokemon you can’t get without a previous Gen game (and Gen 3 is it’s whole other mess!)

Like it wasn’t going to be sustainable even with 2d sprites (spin offs tended to not have full National dexes for a reason) and I would rather attention go to other things

Removing moves should have happened as soon as Gen 2 really, like some of them are so redundant and especially when Gen 6 rolled around Hidden Power felt so outdated (it can’t be Fairy Type) — ironically Hidden Power does still exist just that Unown isn’t in SwSh or SV.

(Return should still be a move)

Like Dexit is something pretty much every long running game series does and for all the legitimate criticisms of Pokemon you can give I don’t think Dexit as a principle is one of them (execution I could maybe argue, like why does STUNKY get to be in the regional dex of every Switch game but Skitty is only in the BDSP postgame?)

So I finally kicked myself into seeing the new trailer after what I’d read on Serebii. Now I definitely can confirm-

But this leak really did damage my view of the pokemon developers. Not because "Omg edgelord lore about rape! 😱" But more about how if that was the shit some of the employees were wasting their time making, instead of LITERALLY ANYTHING YOU CAN INCLUDE IN A PG GAME SERIES!

Then what faith should I have on the current games not being mismanaged to the point of employees working on content that is so inapropriate for what the final product intends to be, that they may as well be blowing spit bubbles at their desks.

Before you could blame crunch, you could blame burnout, Now However! I am going to forever wonder in the back of my mind. "How much content that would never be able to be included in the game, did they waste time making?" When I see a plotline go unresolved, or a animation look poorly done, or a pokedex get cut.

The devs had time to write about a Slaking raping an unconcious woman, while a bunch of mutilated Slakoths watched. But they don't have time to 3D model 50% of the pokdex, apparently.

Happy Valentine’s Day!  Have some art for the Live and Learn series, AKA that one time-travelling Obake AU (start reading on FFN and AO3).  The Hamada bros got into Palworld in the sequel and decided to make that Obake’s problem. X’D

So earlier I was going there’s a non-romance version of Valentine’s, right?  What’s it called, Gal-entine—no wait Pal-entine!  Hold it....Which then led to this joke.  So I get to do Palworld fanart too! :D

Also Obake is definitely a Depresso main and while he’ll never admit it he does enjoy the affection. XD

In other news, for the sequel we’re at 47 consecutive chapters, 491 pages, and 205+K words—here’s hoping this time next year sees it posted. :eager:
