Islas Sonoras

Prototipo no.1

La primera isla que salió como prototipo más allá del papel y lápiz junto al montaje en un editor de imágenes. Este prototipo fue presentado en la Feria de industrias creativas 2025. (Solo que al momento de la presentación la base se despegó y no pudo ser presentada así que se usó una caja de carton con las mismas medidas)

Uso de materiales plásticos como juguetes de diferentes tamaños y texturas en la parte superior de la obra. Aplicación interactiva con la implementación de Arduino junto a sensor PIR, parlante y DFPlayer.

Colores (Isla somática con colores cálidos, junto con los parámetros de 1704 a 1893 (A. Wallace Rimington)) esto fue seleccionado para la creación visual y sonora de la obra. Detalles de la relación color-sonido -rosa = A or B -morado = B or D -naranja = D -amarillo = E -rojo = C

Material de base Madera prensada (fue sacada de un par de parlantes de escritorio, los cuales ya no funcionaban) con un tamaño de 19,2 x 15 x 7,8 cm

About a month ago I decided to learn programming so I could level up my electronics journey, and am currently enjoying the roller coaster ride of learning to program microcontrollers. Although I have many ideas that I wish to develop, I first chose to co-create a magic mirror device with a witch named Eryk.

This is a small handheld electronic device that looks like a little scrying mirror, but when powered up, the mirror reveals a face that talks to you. You can ask it a yes or no question, which it will answer, and it has a divination mode, where you can ask a more specific question or obtain a general fortune.

I am still troubleshooting the hardware, which includes an ESP32, an OLED display and a DFPlayer mini. I started with an Arduino and a small OLED and everything was working well until I hit the memory limit of the Arduino. I upgraded to an ESP32, which I had to adjust my code to, and then decided to upgrade again to a slightly larger OLED. Along the way I somehow acquired almost as many electronic components as there are trees in my forest.

Juuke is an Arduino-powered RFID music player for the elderly

While many of us take playing tunes for granted, whether via MP3s, CDs, or streaming services, for others — such as many that are very young or old — actually figuring out the interface can be a challenge. To make it easier for the elderly to enjoy music, Ananords and his girlfriend created the Juuke box.

The Juuke features an RC522 RFID reader to trigger specific songs stored on an SD card via a DFPlayer Mini, using a stereo jack and external powered speakers. The device is controlled by an Arduino Uno, and includes a volume potentiometer along with two light-up buttons — red to play/pause tracks, green for random playback.

Code for the project can be found on GitHub, with 3D print files, and the actual Fusion 360 files are also available if you’d like to build your own.
