I'll always be so, so bummed that by the time I discovered we had a RHPS troupe in my (*very* rural) hometown, I was only able to go once before they disbanded - especially since I got sick before their very last show, which was pirate-themed. I was actually going to dress up! D:

It is. And I get why some people are taken aback by this reveal, because season one did make it appear that Marcus was gay, and it even took me a bit to decide how I felt about the whole situation when it looked like it was going that way, but when I see someone calling actual good bisexual rep “homophobic” it just puts a foul taste in my mouth.

Like Marcus Keane is by all accounts a 50-something year old virgin. He was sold to the church as a child and spent four decades as a weapon of Christ. And one brief emotional affair aside, he has not had the luxury of discovering who he is.

He is literally a teenager right now discovering his budding sexuality. The line I see being latched onto most is Pazuzu’s declaration last season that girls weren’t Marcus’ “flavor” and yeah... I also took that line as confirmation that Marcus was gay. But it’s a demon. They latch onto the things they know you’re struggling with most and twist that shit like a knife to the gut. I don’t know one bisexual person who didn’t, at some point, think they might just be gay. I know I did. I know it’s very possible that Marcus did. It’s not exactly like he was raised in a progressive environment where he learned about the fluid nature of sexuality.

I just can’t believe that the show gave us such a beautiful, canonical display of bisexuality last night and it’s being called homophobic. I’m just really tired.

I edit by retyping everything, although I don’t print it out, just split the screen. you are….. not wrong about it being hell!

That would still be better, because you can just shrink the screens so you can see them both instead of looking at paper in your lap or to the side or something.
