As a Greek i find hilarious and bitter that people still remember the ancient tales of our ancestors and are studied globally hoe well written they were but we modern Greeks don't produce that anymore like why?
Where did all the creativity go instead of making the same stories everyone globally make that sometimes don't even reflect our society?
I understand what you mean cause I've heard the same comment many times, but let me come to this from another angle.
Fuck what foreigners think. The ancient Greek works have great merit and no one in the world is wrong for studying them and appreciating them. However, the overstudy of these manuscripts has led to needless over-analyzing of texts and the overlook of other great Greek works. The Western world has focused so much on ancient Greek works and has talked only about them for such a long time that more than half the world has forgotten that Greeks existed beyond that era.
We have GREAT literary Greek works from medieval times. It wasn't "the Dark Ages" for us, baby! I'm talking about the Alexeiad, the Digenes Akritas Epic cycle, the satiric works "Timarion" and "Mazaris", the poem the "Spaneas", the (huuuge) "Fountain of Knowledge" by Ioannis Damaskinos, the historical work of Ioannis Malalas, the works of Mihail Psellos, the HUNDREDS of medical and scientific books, and other works that influenced the East and the West alike. That's just the tip of the iceberg!
Why don't we feel proud about those? Because we don't know them. Why don't we know them? Because it's not trendy to study these periods.
We also don't talk about the hundreds of amazing writers we had the last century - including those who got Nobels - because that's not trendy right now.
We have to stop seeing the value of Greek literature through the eyes of foreigners. We have to promote Greek works because we can't just wait for a Shannon in New Jersey, US, to discover it and like it, in order for us to appreciate it too.
Also, we cannot re-invent the wheel. Our ancestors wrote some great stuff for their era. In 2023 this stuff is still great but it's not THAT revolutionary. So there's no comparison in regards to novelty. But we can produce good works regardless.
Greece is not a colonial power or a former colonial power like the European "Big Powers" (these 8 countries), or an empire like the US. Our nation is still recovering for 400-600 years of slavery and occupation AND the dozens of traumatising conflicts and wars that came after that. We can't expect the same growth at the same numbers as these luckier countries. We can't afford as a nation to have extremely popular events and promote the arts like they do in LA, or in Berlin, or London. Let's be kind to ourselves.
In continuation of the previous point, Greece today doesn't have enough powerful publishing houses to back great writers. Our writers, except 4-5 names in the whole country, don't see a penny from their work even after selling hundreds of copies. Even if you earn something, it's not even enough for a month's groceries. So writers either have to choose to spend only 10% of their time writing, or 80% of their time writing and live penniless.
The creativity is there, but Greeks rarely have the time and resources to pursue their writing passion to the point of greatness.

Top 5 Antacids Available in Tamil Nadu: A Comparative Review
Daily meals across Tamil Nadu are rich in flavour and deeply satisfying. The same meal can sometimes lead to discomfort for some that lingers for a while. They can experience tightness in the chest or bloating or a burning sensation caused by acid reflux or gas buildup. That is why it has led more people to seek solutions that work safely and reliably.
Buy -  Gaviscon  Amazon
Tumblr media
With a growing demand for accessible and fast-acting relief, several over-the-counter antacids have found a steady place in households. This review compares five well-known antacids in Tamil Nadu based on how they perform, what they offer, and how they help bring balance back to daily life.
1.  Gaviscon Antacid Liquid
When it comes to antacids for acidity and gas, Gaviscon is the first choice. It works in two ways. It begins with sodium alginate—sourced from natural brown seaweed which forms a protective barrier over the stomach contents to prevent acid from rising. This action provides fast comfort for heartburn, acid reflux, acidity and indigestion.
The formula also includes calcium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate which work together to neutralize existing acid in the stomach. They create a second line of relief. Gaviscon is available in mint and peppermint flavours and is free from sugar and gluten.
It is safe to use during pregnancy, even for the nursing mothers, when taken as directed. It offers relief that lasts up to twice as long as  antacid is trusted by millions across the globe for effectiveness on acid reflux, so while other antacids work on acidity - Gaviscon works effectively on acidity as well as acid reflux. Also add somewhere that its sugar free and gluten free. It not only works for acidity but also for acid reflux, unlike other antacids, Thus, millions across the globe trust Gaviscon.
2.  Digene Liquid
Digene Liquid is often preferred for its dual action formula that targets both acidity and gas. It works by combining antacid agents with ingredients that help reduce the activity of pepsin. It is an enzyme that contributes to discomfort caused by acid formation. It suits people with symptoms like bloating or belching and is generally effective within minutes of use. Its gel form is easy to consume and works best for mild to moderate symptoms. For those searching for antacids for acidity and gas, Digene remains a reliable and familiar choice in many homes.
3.  Gelusil Liquid
Gelusil MPS offers a balanced blend of magnesium hydroxide along with aluminum hydroxide and dimethicone. This combination provides both fast action and sustained relief from acidity or heartburn and gas. The formula is free from sugar which makes it suitable for regular use. It is widely used across households in Tamil Nadu for its consistent results. Many people consider it one of the top antacid brands in Tamil Nadu due to its long-standing presence and mild flavour.
4.  Eno Powder
Eno Powder acts rapidly and is often chosen for sudden symptoms that need immediate attention. It starts working within six seconds and is helpful for those experiencing chest discomfort or heaviness in the stomach. It is known for its speed and is often kept on hand by individuals who experience occasional discomforts. Its citrusy taste and easy preparation make it a go-to solution in urgent situations.
5.  Polycrol Liquid
Polycrol Antacid Gel is designed for use after meals, especially when meals are rich or heavy. Its antacid and antigas formulation works to settle the stomach quickly without leaving behind any aftertaste. It provides effective relief from acidity and bloating and is often used by people who prefer gentle and predictable solutions.
Conclusion
Choosing the right antacids in Tamil Nadu depends on your symptoms, your routine, and how often discomfort occurs. Among the top antacid brands in Tamil Nadu stated above, Gaviscon stands out for its dual-action barrier system, sugar-free composition, and ability to provide longer-lasting relief. Whether dealing with occasional gas or regular acidity, this antacid is trusted by many. However, it is better to consult a doctor before starting to consume Gaviscon, particularly, if you have any underlying co

I am still confused why we call in the orthodoxy the underworld Hades because i am confused why mix paganism with monotheism
There were a lot of things at play here and in fact it was not paganism but the process of cutting ties with it.
Gregory Nazianzen lived in the 4th century. At the time, while Christianity had gained ground over the Ancient Greek religion, there were still believers of the old religion that were reluctant to convert, enough that it was basically the century were Christian emperors persecuted pagans the most. This means that the Ancient Greek religious impact remained strong enough that it still needed to be challenged. (Ancient Greek religion was severely weakened over the 5th century and effectively abandoned in the 6th and early 7th century.)
The major Christian philosophers usually had received thorough Greek education and wanted to spread Christianity either to ethnic Hellenes or Hellenized people so they used Greek terms and concepts for the new religion to be more accessible to the curious and hesitant ones.
Mentioning Hades had thus numerous motives;
It was an implication that the new religion was more powerful than the old one - Jesus defeating Hades and leaving him alone in his former realm. It was also signifying how Christianity was viewed as the “Religion of Life”, Life winning over Death and its old idols.
The concept of Hell in the way we understand it today was not established in the very first years of Christianity, especially because it was a more or less foreign concept to the Greeks. The Greek hell (Kólasi) was not fully defined at first and the very word for it is technically not a religious term. Kólasi comes from the verb “kolázo” which in Ancient Greek meant “crop / trim tree” and NOT “tempt” like it means today. Essentially kólasi is the place for all those who are cut off from “God’s garden”, the bad fruit not making it to the Kingdom of Heaven. It took a while for all these concepts to shape in their final form - in the meantime the Ancient Underworld of Hades (which wasn’t a very happy place to be either) served as the easiest way for the new - formerly pagan - believers to understand the concept of the unpleasant place where the dead go (but is still not quite that pool of lava we imagine today).
Hades was not only the God of the underworld but also the name of the underworld itself. In any case its use was largely metaphorical as no Christian legitimately believed Hades existed. However, they did believe the Devil existed and similarly to the concept of hell / underworld, they tried to make it accessible and better conceived by equating it with pre-existing Greek concepts. In this sense, Nazianzen quite possibly equates Hades with the Devil, further marginalising the old religion.
This fight of Christianity with the Ancient Greek religion while also depending on it for its establishment is nothing short of fascinating. In fact, Christianity rescued a lot of the Ancient Greek culture, whether intentionally or not. The infiltration of Ancient Greek cultural elements into the new religion was what helped a lot of them survive to the everyday life of medieval and Modern Greeks. As an example, both Hades and Charon are totally present in later stages of Greek culture, even after the practice of the ancient religion had long expired. The biggest Byzantine hero, Vasilios Digenes Akritas, fights Charon in the marble fields, much like Heracles did millenias earlier. Here Charon has completely transformed into a personification of Death. It remains as such to this day, in several modern Greek songs and even when we toast in celebration «Να πεθάνει ο Χάρος» (“May Charon die!”). Similarly, Hades often still is perceived as a personification of either death or the devil. So it’s not truly paganism - those symbols did not survive religiously in their original sense but culturally. (This is obviously not about the return to the ancient religion that some Hellenic polytheists do the last years.)

Forever in My Heart | Sad song |True Story
"To my dearest friend." "Happiness was part of the plan, but life had other intentions. The train I took met with tragedy — and I was not among the survivors. This isn’t just a story; it’s a truth etched into my soul, carried with me until my final breath."
Song Lyrick :
Forever in My Heart
You, my cherished one, deep in my soul Amidst the stories of longing, hearts that once were whole The tale has faded, sorrow lingers still, in silence, it grows cold
Never changing, you’re the only one I see Though we’re apart, my heart bears the weight of a thousand pains, endlessly You remain in memory, yet you, have been hurt so deeply
Chorus: You, my beloved, you’re the breath I take Flowing through the pulse my veins make You are my hope, my deepest desire You’re the spark of my heart’s eternal fire You’re the inspiration that I need, ohhh

PORTRAYAL NOTES:
⤿ tessa is considered one of the most powerful characters in canon and yet that is never fully explored. i intend to go into depth, making her a very important figure within the spiral labyrinth. a teacher, a reseacher, and a field player for warlock-related missions.
⤿ i like to develop her powers into different manners than canon. when she shapeshifted, since she got people's memories, that led her to having huge mental trauma and strain. sometimes she hears voices or gets lost within her head, similar to a digenerative disease. i'll explore this with care, though. she also has the power of shapeshifting still, but not getting to people's thoughts when she does. she can transform into animals, and prefers the shape of an owl.
⤿ after will's passing and many years after, since jem was not able to return and thus what happened to him was a miracle, she did try to have other relationships. most of them failed.
HER VERSES CAN BE FOUND ON HER OLD BLOG, HERE.

I have a question… why Heracles fighting Death (Alcestis thing) coming into conflict with Charon (Cerberus labor) threatening Helios (he was bothered by the sunlight) are not seen as disrespect to the gods and therefore as punishable? Helios even helps Heracles after he points an arrow at him, he is not even offended
There are certain cases when very important Greek heroes like Heracles or Achilles get to fight with personified elements like rivers, and other concepts (like Death) and antagonize deities and that is acceptable to show their greatness. This is somehow acceptable in the Greek folklore when it's universally agreed within the culture that the hero is already great and established. Digenes Akritas, a medieval ethnic Greek/Byzantine hero also fights with Death.
At the same time the story must show the gods be formidable and agree as a group / or to consent to let the mortal "win" in the end so the balance between mortals and immortals is kept.
