I have achieved digitally controlled frequency!!

It sounds terrible, but the square wave is just going to be driving the reset on the sawtooth core, so all I need from this section is good clean edges, which it does!

Right now it only does linear voltage control, and there's a lot of glitching from analog measurement noise. The code needs a lot of work, but I'm trying to keep it to little mini projects that I will slowly build upon

i want to say no but it’s not in an everlasting-love positive way; i think there’s a lot of fucked up feelings and codependency going on between them that they’d endure until one of them is mentally destroyed or killed by the other (or diablerized) (or just taken out by camarilla/si/other forces i guess). sol is more likely to be destroyed and end up a husk for whatever julian cooks, and julian more likely to get killed/diablerized if sol were to finally snap.

i mean julian has made sol central to everything’s he built; they will be fixtures in each other’s unlives for at least the next century according to his plans… this shit is long haul let’s not even begin to unpack that or ill be here for another three days

anyway, all that to say they’re just teetering on the brink of a nuke constantly, and i think what compels me is that i don’t know for sure. what if julian is hiding another hidden agenda with 2100X and sol fucking loses it at more secrecy and lies? what if sol, similar to when she unknowingly lowered her generation and strengthened her blood potency with the serum, discovers a power or something substantial with her mutated vitae that julian possibly hasn’t accounted for, and she keeps it from him out of vindictiveness or trust issues? julian is easygoing most of the time but he’s also wildly hypocritical and there are moments in night road where if you push him something switches and he gets nasty; i feel like despite all he’s kept from sol, and however far-gone he potentially gets with his vision, he would not react well to her keeping even one secret, especially something huge like that, from him. would that be enough, i don’t know but it’s interesting and unfortunately why i can’t put them down and go crazy about anything else

Tables and tables of waves.

I gave up on Drezno/Jena as a wavetable voice once I learned that Piston Honda mk3 has the same external processing capabilities while hosting its own suite of additional features. Three body leaves the learning case for it and Daiko to enter.

That being said, it's not doing anything extra special in this patch - just acting as a normal thin digital oscillator, with a little morphing on the wavetables. It has a mix out through Ikarie droning and each individual osc enveloped through Data Bender, and Daiko provides percussion through Milky Way.

The real stars of the show are Tetrapad (Tete) and Quadrax, which are both such deep modules. Tetrapad is in combo mode supplying 1 LFO modulating Daiko (though tidbit mute switches), then 3 euclidian triggers - one for each channel of Taiko (1 on a straight 1/4 and 2 on a funky one, like 13/35), and another cleverly at 1/32 to act as a clock divider for Quadrax and Data Bender. Then I learned about internal triggering on Quadrax, where you can have a channel fire after the previous one's EoR of EoC - I'm using this to effectively get EoC triggers from channels 1 and 3 without the expander (I WILL pick one up, one of these days) to control a few other parameters.

All in all, a fun learning jam, but nothing too special. It honestly reminds me of some of my old recordings, with unison on PH3 sounding a lot like Telharmonic (but with a lot more range and controllability) - but ultimately it's dominated sonically by Data Bender.

3. Coppersound Daedalus Reverb:

I got this one off a friend who wasn't using it anymore and it's really cool. It's 2 reverb stages with independent foot switches which is already nice but then it's got an "Exp" out which is basically just a send so you can send the wet signal out to whatever other FX u want on its own. I'm routing it back into input B on the DD-8 to make a feedback loop. With the level and feedback on the delay a bit lower it just kinda creates this bed of washed out delay verb feedback that sounds rly nice under cleans. With the level and feedback up on the delay it gets super loud and feedback-y super fast which is fun and useful.

4. Boss HM-2 (Late 80s, made in Japan):

this was the cheapest HM-2 on reverb at the time I was shopping. Visually beat up but works perfectly. I adore the sound of the HM-2. w/ everything cranked but the highs at like middle position it's just this perfect doom metal-y distortion and it works so fucking well after delay and reverb. Also doing the chainsaw thing is fun too.

nothing to say, it's a tuner. I have it last in the chain so I can use it as a killswitch if I get some crazy feedback shit going.
