I always think I'm so clever and funny whenever I put in a humourous line or pun, ngl xD Hm, hard to find one quickly, so have this exchange from Keep On Going:

"It's like a searchable keyword," Zhao Yunlan explained, thumbs dancing over the touchscreen. "If enough people use it, the algorithm notices and it becomes a 'trending topic'." "They're using our surnames together as a short form to indicate… us?" Shen Wei frowned as Zhao Yunlan helpfully scrolled down the page for him, more and more messages appearing. [...] "Zhao Yunlan," Shen Wei enunciated carefully, slowly raising his head to meet Zhao Yunlan's gaze. Several questions crowded in the forefront of his mind, and Shen Wei wasn't sure where to start. "Why are you so invested in this… 'ship name'?" “It sounds better, doesn’t it?” Zhao Yunlan offered him a roguish grin. “We deserve a decent ship name. To be fair, the biggest reason others disagree with Weilan is because they don’t think you’re the top in this relationship. I wonder what it would take to convince them otherwise…”

I've gotten a lot better at using environmental description to set the mood and tone of a peace! I absolutely adore dragon!Shen Wei's ice cave in Long Night In Longcheng, e.g.

Inside, the entrance opened into a tight hall, the walls made out of glittering blue and white gems sparkling like ice, smoothed out by aeons of water grinding down the edges. Zhao Yunlan pressed one hand to the cold stone, the other shining a flashlight down the cave, carefully setting one foot in front of the other as he shimmied sideways along the path. Finally, the hall widened into a large cavern. At a guess, Zhao Yunlan would estimate the ceiling to be at least sixty, maybe eighty metres high, a yawning canopy glistening distantly with reflected light. Stalagmites and stalactites filled the space, some of them melting together to build pillars that seemed to hold the ceiling aloft.

askjdghgh I can't decide, so here, have several (all of them language related for some reason lol):

Learning the Language by nightwalker, a relationship-centric fic in which ZYL goes through all the love languages :D

Intelligible by Elenothar, focussing on linguistic worldbuilding. The part that leaves me warm-fuzzy every time is how ZYL does and doesn't get involved and why <3 it's just. Very sweet.

Fate's True North by ExtraPenguin, a soulmark au of canon in which ZYL's name is in an alien script ;)

12. 💘 A fic you couldn’t stop reading once you started

ready, set, game on by synonemous was one of those for sure, I remember being tired at work the next morning and then going straight back home to binge the rest 😂 It tickled the streamer-fan inside me and the identity shenanigans were *clutches chest* (I also just. Really want the game they describe to be a Thing lmao!)

Any fic by ratbones is also a good binge-read, they have very tight pacing and suspense down to a T!

Bylam taka ladna i taka chuda i dlaczego musialam to zepsuc? Porownujac zdjecia nog z grudnia a z teraz (lewo grudzien, prawo teraz) to jak dwie kompletnie inne osoby. Co prawda kat, kroj i poza sa inne ale trzeba przyznac ze wtedy mialam o wiele ladniejsze uda, nie to co teraz. Teraz sa ochydne, a najgorsze jest to, ze mimo mojej nienawisci do samej siebie ciagle mam napady.

Wczesniej irl zdarzaly sie komentarze, iz wygladam troche jak laleczka. Uwielbialam je. Teraz od dawna nikt mi tak nie powiedzial. Ostatnio powiedziano mi, ze przypominam troche Valerie Lukyanove. Jest bardzo ladna i drobna, ale ma duze cycki, a ja oczekuje u siebie jak najmniejszych.

Boze, jestem taka wielka... i biodra i ramiona mam tak szerokie, ze wstyd. Przez to ile przytylam nie wygladam dobrze juz w niczym. Mowa i o ciuchach i o fryzurach. Wygladalam znosnie w warkoczach, a gdy je uczesze to moja twarz wyglada jak okragla kulka. Kula. I mam taki tlusty brzuch. Naprawde... Chcialabym moc zaraz poplakac. Nie moge spac bo naprawde, nie wyolbrzymiajac i koloryzujac, czuje tluszcz na calym moim ciele.

Przepraszam, ze nic ostatnio nie wrzucam, ale jestem jakas przybita. Zawsze staralam sie pisac o bardziej pozytywnych rzeczach nawet jesli nieco naciaganie, ale ostatnio nie moge nic takiego znalezc. Dobranocka
