In 2021, dirty secrets about the use of bioweapons are revealed inside BSAA + there are direct hints in Umbrella Corps that Wesker is alive. I just combine the two puzzle pieces together in my head. So let's look at another interesting post-2009 scenario.
AU - ELEGY OF FREE RADICALS
Chris was once careless about eliminating Wesker. Knowing his nature, he still didn't check Wesker's presumed place of death properly. Relying on his own luck, Chris left the place of battle and never returned there. But he had to go back. It has become his mistake.
Chris reported the scene of the victory to the BSAA. Rotten BSAA could have used that data in any way they wanted. Like going back there and checking out the volcano. They could have indicated on the documents that they were headed to clear the area of the remnants of Uroboros, but in fact to search for Wesker's remains to get rich off the sale and study of his unique biomaterial. But what they didn't expect was to find him alive. Badly injured, helpless, but somehow alive.
Taking advantage of the weakness of the still living organism, he was taken to the secret laboratory of the headquarters. Now Wesker could be under the supervision of BSAA scientists for a very long time. He's much more useful alive than dead. His knowledge, skills, all of it could be utilized. And it was also possible to conduct endless experiments on his unusual body... Testing the limits of his abilities, testing various poisons, looking at the lethality of their new weapons, and etc. He was once again a puppet, as he had once been in Spencer's hands, from which he had miraculously escaped.
The BSAA kept Wesker's abilities under strict control, he was trivially stripped of any PG67A/W injections, replaced with an alternative that was only necessary for his body to regenerate damage after the battle in the volcano, but didn't provide any additional benefits. So he would remain weak but healthy.
Another remedy was also applied to him, eliminating the consequences of merging with the Uroboros, which modified his body in a volcano. It was discovered in 2011, after the events of Revelations 2. It was rude to call it just a serum, it was something more, because it did not remove the virus itself from the body, but brought it into a more stable form, allowing Wesker to take his ordinary appearance. With him, in this form, it became easier for employees to work.
The BSAA restored Wesker, stripped of his strength, any dignity, as well as his freedom. He was bedridden for several years and various weapons were tested on him, then recorded how his body reacted and at what rate it recovered. An immobilized lab rat, a deserved punishment for someone like him? Perhaps. It was thanks to his "sacrifice" that the anti-regeneration weapon was invented, which had once come in handy for Chris in the battle against Mold.
Just think… how many things could the BSAA have invented using the infinite resources of Wesker's body? He was terrified of these thoughts. Terror at the realization that he had no chance of escape, that he was trapped here forever, that he would continue to have his organs taken out of him and be forced into endless pain. He reflected that he hadn't actually managed to do so many contradictory things to deserve eternal torment. And it's better to let him die than to endure this hell. But his own body played a cruel joke without dying. It was an expert on regeneration. His pride was trampled when he begged for death.
BSAA absolutely did not spend any painkillers and sleeping pills on Wesker, absolutely all experiments were carried out when he was conscious. They had already spent a lot of money on him during his recovery, it was a waste to spend even more on someone who could repair any of his damage.
Pain and terror haunted him for six years. He cursed what he used to idolize in himself.
And then he was forced to work for them. In 6 years he had grown accustomed to the constant pain and had already learned to see himself as nothing, sending his consciousness into free floating. Deep in his thoughts, he created a place where he learned to ignore the endless physical torment. But when he was put on his feet and pulled out of this place… Wesker was even more devastated.
It was unusual for him to suddenly return to normal work, all this created a mess in his head, reality seemed to be nonsense. The usual paperwork after hell? Are you kidding me?!
Morally, he was destroyed. His psyche was severely damaged. Wesker from the "torture room" was locked in a cell that looked like a combination of a room and a laboratory. For fear of being put back on the operating table again, he dutifully began to work and develop various things that BSAA would use in the future. But it wasn't life either. Weakened body, lack of abilities... he wanted to die, but he couldn't afford it, because he was practically immortal. Although, even if he used a weapon that stops regeneration on himself... he still wouldn't kill himself.
«Not here»
«Not like this»
At times he thought he was balancing on the fine line between normalcy and insanity. He saw people at best once every two weeks who came to check on his work and were not at all talkative. Wesker had always been convinced he didn't need company, but 12 years without socializing had made him question his beliefs.
Once a month he was provided with food, and then carelessly, because he didn't need food. His body, experiencing hunger, could devour itself and regenerate immediately.
The only reason he was given a room and released from the operating table was because the organization wanted to see what he could offer them. Of course, they didn't stop studying his unusual body and conducting experiments, but Wesker was already in charge of the process himself. Independently amputated his limbs and so on. Only closer to 2019 were these experiments stopped, because they had extracted all possible benefits from his body.
Wesker remotely, horrified, realized that thanks to his body he would live much longer than the average person, if not forever. Which led him to believe that he would be kept in this cage for centuries. BSAA would close, others would take their place, find him, torture him again. And so on in a circle, for all eternity, as long as human society and greed existed. This had to end... but how? A plan was needed, a complex one that could not be unraveled.
His life and existence was a BSAA mystery from 2009-2021. For 12 long years he was not allowed out of the walls of this cell.
Of course he wanted to escape, he had many unrealistic thoughts in his head about it. He was also interested in meeting Chris, aged, changed. To see his reaction, genuine shock rather than the anger he'd reacted to Wesker's earlier 'resurrections'. Is Chris even still alive today? What year is it now?
But this life couldn't go on forever, the BSAA was cracking at the seams. In 2021 it was revealed that they were using B.O.W. soldiers, something Chris couldn't ignore. So he headed over to European headquarters to deal with it - right where his nemesis was located, a complete headache. Chris couldn't accept that his organization, which was fighting biological weapons, would use them. It didn't fit in his head. He had long ago stopped trusting the BSAA, but this was the last straw.
Arriving there, Chris did not expect to meet someone in the basement laboratories whom he had buried a long time ago.
What was he going to do with him? Shoot him in the head without any thought? That would have been logical and in Redfield's character, but over the years he'd stopped being a complete hothead, learned to think first and then act. Gained a little equanimity.
It will turn out that it was Wesker who was involved in the creation of the B.O.W. in BSAA. Especially since these soldiers are improved clones of Chris himself. Who else could have come up with such an idea? Only to a man who thought Chris was "one of his best men".
For the past 6 years, Wesker has been forced to be an advisor to BSAA, sharing all the knowledge and ideas. He might have been able to pull it all off, if only to get back at that organization, turning Chris' anger on it, and turning his attention to himself at the same time. After all, only this "one of his best men" was the only one who could save him. Yes, Wesker was pathetic. He felt he wasn't even worthy of his former name, being so pathetic as to enlist the help of his enemy. But it was the only option. There was no more talk of pride.
However, it didn't matter now, Chris had come here to punish the founders, so their prisoner, their chief counselor, might prove to be the best informant. And an ally.
Natural intuition made Chris believe his former enemy, the biggest manipulator of them all. As if he was definitely not lying now, because he was in such a big asshole that he couldn't let his words sound unconvincing. Earlier, Chris would have easily recognized his lies, but not now. Right now, completely honest and dull eyes were looking at him from beneath translucent glasses. So damn pitiful that Chris automatically assumed the role of the hero rescuing the damsel in distress.
Chris was quickly combine the information together in his head: the situation, the physique, the setting... His opponent had been held hostage by his own ambition, it couldn't help but bring a smile to Redfield's face. But he hid it in his thoughts, because he deemed it inappropriate once he read Wesker's imprisonment papers. Chris had some free time to devote to the situation.
He read about what had been done to Wesker. About all the torture. And Redfield clutched his head, when he got to the description of his ammunition that he'd used against Mold a couple years ago. He was terrified that this weapon had been created in such a gruesome way... through the suffering of his enemy, who, even considering all his guilt, didn't deserve all this. Chris felt that Wesker should have died and rid the world of himself rather than suffer endlessly. Even for him, he thought it was inhumane.
The first thing Wesker said to Chris was: - Now you've taken on the role of captain of the «alpha» too. This jabbed Chris slightly, but he noticed how the hostage said it without malice. Redfield involuntarily remembered 1998, the mansion, the betrayal, the deaths of the Alpha and Bravo group...
The compartment Wesker was in was to him both an office and a laboratory, and a room. A kind of prison, which he could not leave on his own because of his weak physical condition. He was weakened by the daily injections putting his viruses inside his body to sleep.
Releasing him and examining him at arm's length, Chris made sure that in the state Wesker was in now, he posed no danger, just an ordinary disgust. He resembled only a pale copy of his former self.
The BSAA operative dragged him carelessly behind him like some sack of garbage, concerned only with keeping the information in his head intact. But in his mind Chris still held images of what the BSAA bastards were doing here to Wesker. He didn't want to feel sorry for him, but he couldn't control it, Redfield had never been heartless. Initially he had only cared about information, but it wasn't long before he didn't even notice how protective he had become of him. As if a friend, which in truth, he never was. His captive's behavior was different from what Chris remembered. It was different, like a throwback to the past. Perhaps 12 years of imprisonment had had that effect on him.
He was docile, which wasn't surprising, since Wesker had been treated like an object by the organization, and the operating table had been a good teaching moment. Chris couldn't believe that after so many years of hell his former enemy's mind was still intact, that he hadn't lost his mind and was capable of dialog.
Time passed unnoticed during the proceedings with the BSAA about B.O.W., eventually the organization was destroyed and all its equipment, along with Chris's squad, transferred to TerraSave.
Chris during all of this had to sign Wesker into the Hound Wolf Squad as either a prisoner or an advisor. To keep him from getting shut down again, that was the deal. He helps them, they help him. Over time, he was getting back to normal. The food and good company had done their job.
However, Chris didn't know that his new ally hadn't lost all of his strength, and the ones he had were sleeping under the influence of the medicament. But time passed, the medicament slowly stopped working without new doses, and Wesker understood it perfectly well. And felt it. It didn't affect his appearance, so he could play his role for as long as he wanted. But was it a role? Sure he was portraying a courtesy that annoyed Chris to the point of nausea, but it was partially sincere. Having broken with his past at the fault of the BSAA, Wesker could only hope to find a new purpose. After all, as Spencer had raised him, there is no life without purpose.
Therefore, was it so necessary for him to betray Hound Wolf Squad? Would it be beneficial to him? Chris is a strong point. He has no doubt that if he kills Redfield - another will take his place, and will definitely get him into the basement wheel of samsara. So Wesker had no grand plans yet. After all, any of them would be doomed to failure as long as there was anyone in the world capable of resisting.
But Chris risked to give him a goal, which, however, called impossible - to become the best version of himself. To help the Hound Wolf Squad, to work with TerraSave, to use his knowledge for something other than endless failed experiments. Stop being Spencer's failed experiment. The only option Chris would give him a chance at.
Those words stuck in Wesker's head for a long time. Mentioning the old man was like a low blow. Chris knew where it hurt the most.
It had been several years since Wesker had joined Redfield's team. All that time he'd been hiding his abilities so as not to lose the fragile trust in his person. But the truth couldn't help but surface one day....
On one of the missions connected with B.O.W., the blade of an exploding helicopter blew off Wesker's head, and then another piece of debris cut his body in half.
But he didn't die.
Chris was enraged. With resentment, he felt cheated. What else could he have expected?
First, the black mass connected the body, restoring functionality to it, and then this silent carcass picked up the head. It was slow. It looked helpless and creepy. Chris's squad was on edge, but he ordered to wait. The black substance emerged from the base of the neck and attached the head to itself, then the calm expression on the reanimated head changed to horror. Was he in unbearable pain from the newly received oxygen? Or from the fusion of tendons?
When Wesker recovered, he couldn't at first think of a response to Chris' "explain yourself!"
Everyone's fragile trust collapsed, but not Redfield's, for he knew that if his former adversary had wanted to betray him, he would have betrayed him long ago, he wouldn't have let himself be so ridiculously exposed. Especially after all the torture he'd endured. Chris could understand why Wesker was hiding his powers. Redfield had stepped on the same rake of trust again, convincing himself that he had everything under control.
Wesker, ever since the prototype had merged with Uroboros in his body, had acquired a number of flaws, chief among them an unbearable sensitivity to pain. The only time he could not feel pain was when he was BSAA injected with force restraining drugs. But without them, all the disadvantages came out.
Whereas before he could recover from any wound without feeling anything but minor damage, now the pain was so obvious that every regeneration was accompanied by agony. Especially if it was a burn, for heat is a major weakness for Uroboros. The healing places on his body, after that helicopter situation, hurt like hell.
He was closer to human now than he had been before, and Chris seemed to realize that. That was why he hadn't killed him a second time, but had accepted him back into his squad. It was not only a gesture of goodwill, but also a precaution, a way to keep a dangerous object as close to him as possible so he wouldn't do anything.
How long will they have to cut off the heads of hydra in the face of the creators of bioweapons?
- Why do you trust me, Chris?
- I still believe that anyone can become the best version of themselves. We should prioritize fighting for the future to give someone a quiet life that you and I have been robbed of. I know about Project W. Together we can stop new organizations and prevent many tragedies like this from happening again. And you can help us, Wesker. BSAA took away your choice, but I'm giving it to you now.
Wesker at first couldn't find the words to respond, but after a moment he barely audibly whispered: "Thank you."
From a man who never thanked anyone, Chris was shocked to hear that. And he was proud of him. Had he forgiven him? No, his deeds were unforgivable. But Chris wasn't the kind of man who would turn his back on his one chance to make things right, to make things right on Earth, to save someone's life. In this truce, he sees a future that's bright for everyone.

Truth Potion
Kim Jungsu Summary: Your secret crush on Jungsu was going just fine. That is until your best friend gave you a truth potion. (non-idol au) WC:~1.7k  Warning:none

“Y/n please? We have a test coming up. I need to make sure I made it right,” your best friend begged you.
“That’s why I don’t want to. The last time I took one of your potions my tongue, hair and nails turned blue,” you reminded.
“I already apologized for that! I made a mistake while reading the ingredients, but I promise this time I triple checked everything. It should be safe,” they tell you.
“Yeah should. If it’s safe then you take it,” you argued.
“I can’t,” they said.
“Why? Are you hiding a lot of secrets?” You teasingly raised one of your brows.
“No, I-I have to document the effects so-”
“So wouldn’t it make more sense for you to take it? I’m a very honest person anyway, so it doesn’t make sense for me to take a truth potion anyway,” you pointed out.
“Y/n can you please just take it? I’ll owe you one. Please?” They clasped their hands together and pleaded. You let out a sigh.
“Fine, but I swear if something happens you’re in for it, understand?” you threatened.
“I’ll take full responsibility. Now enjoy.” They smiled, handing you the small vile. You take a skeptical look at the liquid in the vile. “Please?” your best friend begged again. You carefully take the vile from their hand. Closing your eyes as you swallow the liquid inside. A cough emits from you after you swallow the sour liquid.
“Are you sure you made that right? Why was it so sour?” you asked, wiping your mouth.
“I told you I triple checked everything,” they state. “So did it work?” they followed up.
“How am I supposed to know? Ask me something?” you say.
“Right, ok umm….” they trail off as they try to think of a question to ask you. “Ooh!” “You’re the one who ate my cookies right? Jiseok was just covering for you,” they accused you. Your lips drew into a line. You sit silently for a few moments before answering.
“Well, technically Jiseok and I ate them together, so he wasn’t really just covering for me. He did eat them,” you reveal.
“But you did too!” their voice rose.
“Yeah, I did too,” you admitted. Safe to say the truth potion worked.
“How could you?” they dramatically asked.
“As if you haven’t eaten my snacks before. Stop being dramatic. I bought you more anyway,” you said. “Are you happy? The truth potion works,” you added.
“Oh I’m very happy. Thank you for your service,” your best friend thanked you.
Everything seemed like it would be ok. You weren’t feeling any weird side effects of the potion. You figured that the truth potion would wear off in a couple of hours.
However that was unfortunately not the case. When you woke up the next morning to discover that the truth potion you took was very much still effective.
“Y/f/n what did you do? It should have worn off a long time ago,” you complained.
“I’m sorry. I don’t know what’s wrong either. I swear I did everything right,” they declared.
“Show me the recipe you used,” you demanded. Y/f/n pulls out their notebook to show you the recipe they used.
“This one,” they pointed to it.
“One bottle of lemongrass? Y/f/n that can’t be right. It’s way too much,” you say. “No wonder it was so sour,” you sighed. You pulled out your own notebook and flipped through the pages till you found the truth potion. Another sigh escapes you. “It’s supposed to be three strands!” you pointed to the writing in your notebook.
“Crap! I’m so sorry y/n. Let’s go talk to my professor. He probably has a remedy or can at least tell us how long it’ll last,” they murmur the last part.
“Hey y/n, y/f/n,” Jungsu, Gunil and Seungmin come over to greet you. You can feel your heart rate pick up.
“Hey,” y/f/n smiled.
“Hey,” you replied with a weak tone.
“What’s wrong with y/n?” Seungmin asked.
“I gave them a truth potion,” y/f/n answered.
“Why is that a problem? Did you mess up again? Is their tongue blue again?” Gunil questioned.
“They put a whole bottle of lemongrass in it,” you exposed.
“A whole bottle! It’s supposed to be three strands. Are you ok?” Jungsu checked. Looking at you with very concerned eyes.
“They're fine. It just hasn’t worn off yet. We’re going to talk about it with my professor now,” y/f/n states.
“Ok, don’t let us keep you then. We’ll see you at lunch,” Jungsu says.
You and your best friend walked into the potion classroom.
“Y/f/n what’s up? The professor asked you two, upon walking in. Y/f/n looked at their feet in shame.
“If someone put a whole bottle of lemongrass in a truth potion instead of three strands how long will it last?” you question.
“A whole bottle?! Y/f/n!” their professor scolded them.
“I’m sorry! How long will it last? Or better yet, do you have a remedy?”
“There is something that can cure a truth potion, but we don’t keep it on hand,” he says.
“How soon can you get it?” you asked.
“I can send someone to go gather it. Come back here at the end of the day,” he tells you.
“Thank you,” you said. You and y/fn bid your goodbyes and leave the classroom.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“So what’s the verdict?” Seungmin asked when the two of you joined them for lunch.
“There is something that can cure it, but they don’t have it on hand, so my professor sent someone to go get it. They’ll have it by the end of the day,” y/f/n explained.
“That means we have a fully honest y/n at our dispense till the end of the day?” Jooyeon said mischievously.
“Leave them alone,” Jungsu scolds him.
“Why? What could they be hiding anyway? They’re a pretty honest person,” Jiseok chimed in.
“Exactly they’re honest, so just leave them be. They don’t have any secrets for you to find out,” Jungsu said.
Oh how you wished that were true, but you did have one very big secret that they could find out about. That secret being your crush on Jungsu. You had done such a good job at keeping it quiet. Your best friend doesn't even know about it. Now the reason why you’ve been keeping quiet about it is because Jungsu only views you as a younger sibling. You recall the day you got sibling zoned very clearly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Jungsu, why are you protective over them? You got a crush on them?” Jooyeon teased. There had been this group of guys that was bothering you. The moment Jungsu caught wind of it he quickly shut it down.
“What? No. I only see them as a younger sibling. That’s why I’m protective over them,” he justified. His words felt like a jab to your heart and right at that moment you decided that you would never reveal the truth about your feelings towards Jungsu.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Is that true y/n? You aren’t keeping any secrets from us?” Jooyeon asked. Crap. You had to think before answering because the “No” you so desperately wanted to say wouldn’t leave your mouth.
“What would I be hiding?” you chuckled.
“That took you second. Are you really hiding something?” Jiseok questioned. You let out a panicked laugh.
“What could I possibly be hiding?” you say.
“You aren’t saying no,” y/f/n comment. “No way! You actually have a secret!” they exclaimed. “I don’t. No I don’t” you so desperately want to say, but you can’t.
“What is it?” Seungmin questioned. “I like Jungsu” The words sit dangerously close to the tip of your tongue.
“I don’t have class to get to. Bye bye,” you quickly stood up and began to rush away.
“Y/n! Wait!” y/f/n called after you.
“I said to leave them alone. So what if they have a secret? I’m sure we all have some type of secrets.” Jungsu stood up and went to follow you.
“Y/n wait up,” Jungsu says, jogging up to you. Any other day your heart would have fluttered to have Jungsu being the one that followed you, but today he was the last person you wanted to follow you. “Are you ok?” he asked once he caught up with you.
“Not really,” you chuckled.
“Hey it’s ok. I said it back there after you left that we all have secrets. We keep them for a reason right?” he said. You nodded.
“Yeah and I almost said mine. That’s why I left,” you say.
“How about I tell you a secret?” he prompts.
“Why would you tell me a secret? You just said we keep them for a reason,” you questioned.
“I’ve had something that I wanted to tell you for a while,” he informs you.
“What is it?” you asked.
“I like you,” he confessed.
“Huh? B-but you said you only saw me as a younger sibling,” you say.
“I said that because I wasn’t ready to confess then.” He awkwardly scratched the back of his neck. “But Jooyeon was right. I’m protective over you because I like you.”
“I like you too,” you confessed back.
“Really?” Jungsu said.
“I can’t exactly lie right now Jungsu,” you reminded.
“Ah that’s right,” he chuckled with a blush appearing on his cheeks.
“That’s what my secret was. That I like you. I didn’t want to reveal it because of how you said you only saw me as a younger sibling. I thought it would make things weird between us,” you explained.
“I’m sorry for lying about that,” he apologizes.
“There’s no need to apologize. You said you weren’t ready and everything has worked out now.”
“Yeah, it has.” He grabs your hand in his. “We’re a couple now,” he states. You smile, squeezing his hand back.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Sorry for about back at lunch. We should have respected your privacy,” your best friend apologizes. You had just taken the antidote for the truth potion.
“It’s fine. I get that you guys were curious and it all worked out in the end,” you smiled.
“What worked out?” they asked you.
“You’ll find out soon,” you teased, walking away.
“Hey no. Tell me please?” They chased after you.
“I can't have a date to get ready for,” you shouted out as you gleefully walked away.

Bad Eggs
Despite the efforts taken to test and confirm that Pokémon can remain stable when converted into data when placed in the PC, sometimes a Pokémon’s data can get accidentally corrupted while inside due to an internal error. How the Pokémon physically responds to this is to essentially revert to their most base form – an egg. It is an extreme reaction to a Pokémon encountering something going very very wrong, so they revert to the form that they feel safest in as a sort of ‘natural error handler’ as a result of the Pokémon’s biology being converted into computer data.
However, the egg they turn into does not function like Pokémon eggs typically do. Unlike other eggs that indicate the species it will hatch into in some way, these eggs – Bad Eggs, as they are called – are pale yellow with green spots, the colour desaturated and greyish in appearance and no matter what, these eggs will not hatch (though rumours do circulate about what happens if they do) and if left in the PC can sometimes spread this condition to the data of neighbouring Pokémon like a virus.
This phenomenon doesn’t happen very often and is scarcely documented, often chocked up to just an urban myth or a baseless rumour by Trainers and children. It has even been the subject of internet horror stories – known colloquially as creepypastas – in early internet culture, contributing to this almost mythological status surrounding Bad Eggs and elevating it as something of an urban legend.
However, not very well known by people is that Bad Eggs are a natural phenomenon in nature. Sometimes when a Pokémon lays an egg, they will lay an egg that is empty or rotten and unable to be hatched. It’s unknown why this happens since the actual process of reproduction is a private matter between Pokémon almost never directly observed by humans, and thus research is scarce to practically nonexistent. But when it does happen, the Pokémon will often just bury them since they have no scent indicating anything alive inside.
Bill, being the man responsible for inventing and developing the Pokémon Storage System, immediately began to get to work in order to remedy this once he heard about it and saw the evidence for himself when he caught a Cleffa as a companion for his Clefairy and it turned into a Bad Egg after he put it into the PC System, asking local Breeders if they’ve encountered a similar phenomenon before making this his priority.
He accomplished this by experimenting on himself and his Clefairy (who volunteered for the experiments). It was both a way of engineering teleportation technology and to research how his own biological data would fare when being tampered with and accidentally fusing himself with his Clefairy in the process. He, however, learned a great deal from these experiments and how to manipulate the biological data of Pokémon and eventually engineered a method of converting Bad Eggs back into the original Pokémon they’re supposed to be and restoring them. Bill has since offered a public service for any Trainers whose Pokémon have been turned into Bad Eggs while in the PC and continues to operate it to this day.
The Eevee that Rachel receives from Bill in Goldenrod City while she travels through Johto – affectionately named Potential – was a Bad Egg whose condition he was able to reverse with the help with his sister and her knowledge on machinery. It was his primary test subject in figuring out how to reverse the process. It eventually evolves into Umbreon. He received it from a confused Breeder to use as a test subject in order to discover how to reverse the process and begin making his service public globally. The Eevee was his first test subject as he was a bit hesitant to test on his Cleffa until he successfully reverted Eevee back to its true form.
Since accomplishing this, Bill has since sought out the help and expertise of Lanette and Professor Elm in order to engineer a completely foolproof method for reversing the condition. Eventually, with their combined efforts, they succeed and Bill sets up a service for Trainers to be able to send him their Bad Eggs in order for him to revert them and then return them to their Trainers.
It’s uncommon and rare to occur naturally in Pokémon, but there is a rare to almost impossible chance for it to even happen to humans. No such case has ever been documented as of yet, but the chance of this happening is possible if extremely unlikely. It doesn’t stop the anxiety of new expecting mothers, however.
Though the chance isn’t significant, overbreeding and placing the stock in the PC can lead to an increased chance of the offspring becoming Bad Eggs due to the data bloat.

Dyslexic Feyre
Probably already stated, but dyslexic Feyre would have been a vibe. Her being dyslexic would have explained how she was illiterate at 19 when she still would have access to formal education before their family wealth got totalled. Perhaps she found difficulties due to her dyslexia and instead of focusing on her studies, her being a child, found other things that made her happy e.g. exploring as a way to distract from things that made her feel different. Another barrier between her and her sister's upbringing.
Would have been even better if her dyslexia had stayed after turning fae. Now she's an adult without the distraction of her "duties to her family," she could have taken the time to find her own mode of learning that's accessible to her - maybe something the humans didn't know about. Because writing random self-important sentences about a dude for a few weeks does not suddenly remedy illiteracy. If that was the case, then it could be said that she held herself back if learning became so easy. She was her own barrier, narratively seen when she refused Tamlin's offer to help initially with poetry due to...embarrassment? Clearly it's something she hides well if even she own sisters weren't aware.
Either way, having her so vocally forward when speaking with other HL's but still stammering when trying to read Nyx's children's book would be so real. Don't know how she can suddenly grasp courtly documents, though. Let alone her level of comprehension to internalise that would lead to solutions.
If there wasn't a clear reason why she couldn't read before, then it shouldn't have been a plot point, is all I'm saying. Create another reason to have Lucien in a cage that wasn't reliant of Feyre knowing basic phonics and blending. I dunno. Test her stamina where she has to hold the rope attached to the mechanism that would skewer him. His survival dependant on her frail strength and pure determination to save a fae. A testament of character. Make it more twisted with having another fae she knows and then having to choose which survives and which dies.
(Came across a man teaching himself how to read on insta and I was honestly so proud of his progress. His frustration, his joy, his focus and dedication - amazing. Then I got reminded of Feyre and how reading is randomly no longer a barrier, so I came here to rant.)

This can be read as a standalone drabble, but it is also a sort of follow-up to the drabble written yesterday! The previous drabble can be found here.
Chubformers drabble #111!
Characters: Megatron and Soundwave (TFP)
Word count: 1.2k
Soundwave’s efforts were paying off, according to his carefully calculated measurements. If there was one thing that he had learned from the hours spent monitoring Megatron over the shoulder of a flaky doctor, it was that keeping track of his leader’s progress was vital to ensuring his home remedies helped.
Pumping Megatron full of more fuel than he could take every day was good and well, and he always enjoyed the outcome of that sloshy belly hanging from weight of too much energon in his tanks, but there was no point in continuing with the practice if it gave no good results. They needed great results, and great healing progress, if he was ever to return to his rightful place at the head of the Decepticons.
It felt a bit twisted, but Soundwave took amusement in the fact that Megatron seemed so flustered by their attempts at getting him back into working order. The fuel pump regimen was unusual, he had to admit, but it worked, and it worked well. His leader was already gaining back the mass he had lost in nearly half the time he would have without his subordinate’s assistance. What was there to discourage?
Maybe it wasn’t just the forced fueling, Soundwave had reasoned. Maybe it was the constant doting from his third in command, or maybe it was the fact that Knock Out and his hulk of a partner had started to catch on to their arrangement. They couldn’t get away with skipping past the extra medical check-ins without arousing suspicion, even if Megatron’s tests came back cleaner than before with every follow up.
No one’s snide comments or pointed remarks mattered to him, though. Knock Out’s attempts at encouraging more frequent visits only earned a cold stare from Soundwave as he guided their leader back to their quarters, and every attempt their incompetent air commanded made at undermining Megatron in his weakened state was met with calculated karma.
Nothing occurred without Soundwave’s knowledge, but it was only because he was so adamant about ensuring their leader’s health was protected. He had already learned what worked best for Megatron as he healed from his injuries, and what was best was making sure he returned to his normal self.
The hours after a feeding session were often spent pampering Megatron and his achy belly, but Soundwave always had plans for him once the worst of the pain had settled. They were nearing another major mark in the healing process, and he wasn’t going to miss out on a chance to gather every little bit of information on his leader’s progress that he could.
Megatron sat at the food of the berth on a stool far too small for him as he awaited the start of their private check-up. He busied himself with rubbing his belly fat in the meantime, all while trying his best not to let his mind wander. Taking measurements and documenting his increasing weight was definitely done more for their enjoyment than anything, but the fear that something would pop up that pushed his health back and triggered another decline was ever present in his processor.
What was there to worry about? Nothing, that was what. His wounds were healed, and his spark still beat strong. The dark energon he had consumed still tainted him, draining his energy as the days ticked by, but Soundwave was there to keep him going. This wasn’t another day of lying on that cold table while Knock Out picked through his chest and cleared his systems so he could live. This was a normal day of rest, and of recuperation.
He had sat pretty and lay compliant on his berth while Soundwave shoved tubes down his throat and up his valve, hadn’t he? He could make it through a bit of measurements.
The anxiety brewing in the pit of his stuffed tanks was immediately soothed by the gentle touch of lanky servos against his shoulders. Megatron lifted his helm and stared into Soundwave’s face, a small smile tugging at the corner’s of his mouth. He couldn’t see his third’s expression, but it didn’t take much to know Soundwave was looking forward to this.
“Well?” he said, slowly rising to his pedes with the insistent help from Soundwave. “Are we finally ready?”
Soundwave was silent as he nodded. He pointed to the mirror across the room, which was conveniently placed next to his table of strings and measuring tapes. Always prepared, he was, and more than ready to begin.
Megatron allowed himself to be dragged over to the mirror with one of Soundwave’s servos pressed into his back, the other held to the swell of his belly. He stood in place in front of the mirror and watched as his third gathered up the supplies, his small smile widening into a grin of amusement.
“Eager today,” he said, hardly missing the noticeable click of panels or the coils that were slinking free. “Forgive the assumptions, but I’ve begun to believe your insistence on two tubes instead of one earlier was just for show.”
There was a pause as Soundwave moved to stand behind him and reached around to hand over an end of the tapes. Despite his lack of words, Megatron could read the mech’s movements clearly.
“Indeed,” he said with a chuckle as he pulled the measuring tape around his belly and held the slack behind him for Soundwave to take.
The tapes were pulled tight around the mesh of his gut, but never enough for the plastic to dig in. They had to take accurate measurements, of course. Megatron stood still and silent, his gaze drifting over the reflection in the mirror, watching as Soundwave pulled the tapes this way and that, focused entirely on the task at hand.
Well, he was mostly focused. Megatron didn’t fail to notice the small pinches and fondling from those tendrils, their three-pronged digits grabbing fistfuls of his flab and giving it a good jiggle. Every twist or tightening of the measuring tapes meant another pinch or poke in a different area, and before long he was finding it nearly impossible to keep his thoughts to himself.
“Everything is as it should be, I assume?” he asked, almost breathless as Soundwave dropped to the floor to measure his thighs.
There was no response—not a shake of his helm, not a pause in his movements. Soundwave did, however, draw the tapes even tighter around the fat of those legs, and he didn’t stop until the excess was dangling between his fingers while the edges of the tapes dug into the mesh of Megatron’s thighs.
Megatron shuddered as those groping coils squeezed his belly even tighter in a relentless tease. For a brief moment, between struggling to steady his intakes and closing his optics against the measuring tapes unraveling against his frame, he catch Soundwave staring up at his reflection, his helm tilted ever so slightly to the side.
This was all a ruse, then. Measurements were being taken, but not without a bit of fun. Still… Megatron wasn’t going to stop him. No, he wouldn’t. For now, he would let Soundwave have his fun.
The ever-present sensation of those tendrils against his frame loosened, and Megatron opened his optics. At his pedes, Soundwave was staring into their reflection.
“Eager today,” he heard his voice say, a low and staticky sound.
Megatron only managed a breathless laugh in return.

I've finally played the Lake House and now I'm going to talk about it for awhile. Spoilers below the break.
I will start off by saying this is one of the BEST DLCs I have ever played in any game.
I have always loved Kiran as a character since we first saw her, but The Lake House really highlighted just how fantastically rounded and detailed this character is given the short amount of time we spend with her. Her humor, the fear she experiences, but above all the determination she has to do her job makes a great character.
I appreciated how much we see of the everyman FBC agent. Not everyone at the FBC is a parautilitarian, a lovable scientist dork, or the Director. There are normal people working there believing in what they do. This is a very important part of the overall story of this organization to me. Often I see the Bureau demonized as a whole by the fandom and that really upsets me. Bad apples are everywhere, as we see in this DLC. But we also see how a good person like Kiran stands up against it. Even through the emails and documents we find in game you see good people trying their best against that evil. I am again thankful for Remedy's writing team that they really highlighted that. Even going as far as showing Darling denying a request to capture live test subjects, which means he learned after Dylan. You even see that Trench denied outlandish requests despite being being in the late stages of a galactic war raging in his mind.
You know I had to talk about Trench and Darling, but it was nice to see them again in this way. They still felt a part of this world in a way that made sense. Document storytelling has been one of my favorite things about Control. They present us with just enough framework to use on our own canvas to try and piece together details of those blank pages.
Tumblr media
Did I get emotional over signatures? Yes, yes I did.
The atmosphere of this DLC hit all the right horror points. From the moment you walk into The Lake House it captures all the scariest horror vibes from the main game. The paint spattered on the walls like blood, but somehow even creepier because of how it wouldn't make sense to see paint like that (until you figure out just what is happening). Being helpless to the painted because again you are just an FBC Agent not a parautilitarian emphasized this feeling.
Using a picture frame set up with Kiran telling Saga what happened at The Lake House made sense and gives us the point in time Kiran would be providing this information. She left us clues in the main game with her dialogue of something horrible that went down at the Lake House, so it feels very appropriate that we get to see that in detail.
The question that resounded throughout this DLC of what is art was very appropriate given the struggles we face today with AI and plagiarism. How is art perceived and how does its emotional impact play on its viewer? Again the writing team really shines here with all the little details. The room with the ATDs was truly horrifying. I don't think they have ever made a room with no one feel so ominous.
Obviously there was a lot in the DLC for Control fans. We will be speculating on every detail for the next couple of years. I always hoped this last DLC of Alan Wake would lead into Control 2, so I couldn't be happier to see just that happen.
Unlike some DLCs that feel as though they were an afterthought, the story feels like the natural ending of Alan Wake 2's story. It felt like the only goodbye we would have with this game and its characters.
The ending song was a beautiful final note to capstone a game that Remedy struggled for so long to make, and I imagine at times doubted that it would ever be made.
I often struggle to put my feelings into written words, but I wanted to try and get them out. Remedy's future looks bright with multiple games on the horizon, but we see how quickly companies can run into issues and nothing is set in stone. Anything could happen in these uncertain times. We may never see these characters again, and most certainly not in the form they are now. It makes me really sad to think we may never see Saga and FBI Casey or Kiran ever again. Maybe there won't ever be an Alan Wake 3. Maybe we won't see Alan battle the Dark Presence again. Maybe we won't ever see Dark Place Casey's echos pave a path for Alan. Maybe we won't see Alice show us just how much a character can grown into her own. Maybe we don't even get to see more of Jesse, or Emily, or Arish. I already know with the passing of James McCaffrey some of these things are impossible. But its not only death that separates seeing a character again. The song End of an Era highlights this goodbye. This end scene. The curtains close. It is an end.
What I appreciated in this song was that it highlighted the struggle of getting to that ending. No matter what goal you are trying to reach, whether it's Alan trying to escape the Dark Place, Jesse finding out what happened to her brother, any one of us creating things that make us happy, that path always has its ups and downs. And that end will always be bittersweet. It will change us. It is a goodbye.
Whatever Remedy creates in the future it could be something we may like or something we may end up disliking. They could ruin characters or make brand new ones for us to fall in love with all over again. We can take that or leave it. Whatever they decide to do. Maybe we like Firebreak and their new type of Remedy game, maybe we don't. But none of that will change how we felt about these prior games and how these characters made us feel at this moment in time. We can look back and remember how it made us feel. When we laughed, when we cried. The journey they took us on.
I will always be grateful that I was able to experience these games. They moved me in ways I cannot find the words to fully describe. I will carry these feelings forward and cherish this memory.
“There are no happy endings. Endings are the saddest part, So just give me a happy middle And a very happy start.” - Shel Silverstein

Natural Energy Boosters: A Guide to Using Kratom and Herbal Remedies
In today’s fast-paced world, feeling energized and motivated is essential to tackling our daily responsibilities and pursuing our passions. Unfortunately, energy levels can fluctuate due to poor sleep, stress, or unhealthy diets. Many people turn to energy drinks or synthetic stimulants, but these often come with undesirable side effects, such as jitters, crashes, and even dependency. Plant medicines, on the other hand, offer a natural and balanced way to boost energy. By harnessing the power of lab tested kratom in Canada and other natural herbs, we can feel invigorated and ready to face whatever the day throws at us.
1. Kratom: A Popular Plant Medicine for Energy
Kratom works by interacting with the body’s opioid receptors, although it is not an opioid itself. The unique alkaloid profile of kratom, particularly mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine, creates stimulating effects when taken in lower doses, making it a favoured natural supplement for boosting energy and focus.
White Vein Kratom for Energy and Focus: White vein kratom strains are well-known for their stimulating effects. Users often describe an enhanced ability to concentrate, increased motivation, and improved stamina. For instance, White Maeng Da and White Bali are popular choices for those looking for a sustained energy boost without the crash associated with caffeine.
Green Vein Kratom for Balanced Energy: Green vein strains provide a moderate level of energy that feels balanced and sustained. Green Maeng Da or Green Malay are excellent options if you want to feel uplifted and alert yet calm and collected. These strains are often favoured by people who need a long-lasting energy boost for work or exercise.
It is important to note that kratom dosage is crucial in determining the desired effect. Low to moderate doses are ideal for energy and focus, while higher doses may lead to sedative effects. As with any supplement, starting with a small dose and observing how your body reacts is the safest approach.
2. Ginseng: A Classic Energy Booster
Ginseng is one of the most well-researched and commonly used herbs in traditional medicine, known for its adaptogenic properties that help combat fatigue and increase physical and mental energy. There are two main types of ginseng used for energy: Asian (Panax) ginseng and American ginseng.
Panax Ginseng for Physical and Mental Stamina: Panax ginseng is commonly used in Asia to enhance physical endurance and mental alertness. The ginsenosides, which are active compounds in ginseng, are believed to improve cellular energy production and reduce inflammation, allowing the body to perform at its peak. Athletes often use ginseng as a natural pre-workout to boost energy levels, and professionals find it helpful for improving concentration and productivity.
American Ginseng for Balanced Energy: While Panax ginseng is more stimulating, American ginseng provides a milder energy boost. It is known for promoting a sense of calm focus, making it an ideal choice for those who want energy without feeling overstimulated. This herb is also highly regarded for its immune-boosting properties, which can be especially beneficial during cold and flu season.
Both types of ginseng have been studied extensively, and their benefits are well-documented. As a bonus, ginseng also supports overall well-being and helps the body manage stress more effectively, making it a comprehensive natural solution for sustained energy.
3. Rhodiola Rosea: Fighting Fatigue and Enhancing Endurance
Rhodiola rosea is another powerful adaptogen that has gained popularity for its fatigue-fighting and endurance-enhancing properties. Found in the mountainous regions of Europe and Asia, Rhodiola has been used for centuries to help the body adapt to stress and improve physical performance. The active compounds in Rhodiola, rosavin and salidroside, are believed to increase the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which fuels cellular energy.
Mental Clarity and Focus: One of the key benefits of Rhodiola is its ability to improve mental clarity and focus. People who experience brain fog or struggle with concentration often find that Rhodiola helps them think more clearly and stay on task. This makes it a valuable herb for those in demanding professions or students preparing for exams.
Physical Stamina and Recovery: Rhodiola is also commonly used by athletes to improve endurance and reduce recovery time after strenuous exercise. By reducing the effects of physical and mental stress, Rhodiola helps the body maintain higher energy levels for longer periods.
Like ginseng, Rhodiola has been shown to have a cumulative effect, meaning that consistent use can yield better results over time. It is also relatively safe and well-tolerated by most people, with minimal side effects.
4. Yerba Mate: A Natural Stimulant from South America
Yerba mate is a traditional South American drink made from the leaves of the Ilex paraguariensis plant. It is highly valued for its stimulating effects, which are similar to those of caffeine, but without the jitteriness and crashes that often accompany coffee consumption. Yerba mate contains a unique combination of caffeine, theobromine, and other beneficial compounds that provide a well-rounded energy boost.
Physical and Mental Energy: Yerba mate is a favourite among athletes and professionals who need sustained physical and mental energy. It is rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, making it a nourishing and energizing beverage. Drinking yerba mate can improve mental alertness, reaction time, and mood while reducing fatigue.
Metabolism and Weight Management: Another benefit of yerba mate is its potential to boost metabolism and support weight management. The caffeine and saponins in yerba mate may increase fat oxidation, which can help the body burn calories more efficiently during exercise.
Yerba mate is versatile and can be enjoyed hot or cold. It has a slightly bitter, earthy taste, and traditional preparation involves sipping the drink through a metal straw from a gourd. For those new to yerba mate, starting with a smaller amount and gradually increasing intake is a good strategy to avoid overstimulation.
Conclusion
Incorporating plant medicines into your daily routine can provide a natural and effective way to boost energy levels. Unlike synthetic stimulants, which often have side effects, herbs like kratom, ginseng, Rhodiola rosea, and yerba mate offer holistic benefits that support both physical and mental well-being. These plant-based solutions not only improve energy but also help the body manage stress, enhance focus, and promote overall vitality.
When considering which plant medicine to use, it’s essential to do your research and consult with a healthcare professional, especially if you have any underlying health conditions or are taking other medications. With mindful use and the right approach, natural energy boosters can help you feel more energized, focused, and ready to take on life’s challenges.

On July 2, 2024, Ripple Labs made a significant move in its lengthy legal battle with the SEC by filing a crucial document with Judge Analisa Torres. Despite the SEC reducing its penalty demand from $2 billion to $102 million, Ripple declined the offer and submitted a Notice of Supplemental Authority to strengthen its stance against the SEC’s remedies and final judgment.
Ripple’s legal team, led by James Filan, argued that the Howey test is inadequate for digital assets like XRP and called for formal rulemaking to ensure regulatory clarity. They criticized the SEC’s reliance on varied court rulings, which could create inconsistent regulatory outcomes.
The SEC’s response is anticipated, especially after a recent ruling in SEC vs. Terraform Labs. At press time, XRP trades at $0.4743 with a market cap of $26.46 billion. The case's outcome could significantly impact the cryptocurrency market, potentially driving XRP prices up or down depending on the ruling.

Chemical Corruption - Viper
Part 1 ☣
Tumblr media
Viper's real name was lost to history, covered by the shadows of rumor and speculation, born to a military family that moved frequently due to his parent's deployments. Growing up as a military brat, Viper found it challenging to form any sort of stable connection, always the new kid in town, forever on the outside looking in.
As a child, Viper was enthralled by adventure and danger, spending his days exploring abandoned buildings on or around the military bases, venturing into nature to find dangerous life, and delving into forbidden areas.
As he grew older, Viper became enamored with the natural world, particularly the deadly inhabitants of the animal and plant kingdoms. He immersed himself in the study of poisons, venoms and toxins, honing his skills in concocting deadly mixtures that could kill with just a drop while also testing himself to make cures and remedies for them
It was during one of these ventures to a restricted part of the new military base he had moved too that he stumbled upon a hidden laboratory under a ruined building. The ladder was under a piece of rubble he had moved in hopes of finding one of the native snake species. He climbed down the rusted ladder, kicking away spider webs and egg sacks as he went. When he hit the ground after what seemed like three stories worth of climbing down rungs. He fumbled in his messenger bag for his flash light. Being a military brat meant he always was overprepared.
Once the light was flicked on he gazed in shock at the room filled with vials. On closer inspection to the lables he relized the lab was full of deadly toxins, bioweapons, twisted mutations of all that was natural, and classified research documents.
Intrigued by the contents of the lab, Viper began to experiment with the agents, fascinated by their potential for destruction. He learned to mix and concoct deadly solutions along with their cures.
At first he only tested these on animals but the more results he got, the more the curiosity to test them on a human grew.
Being a medic himself he couldn't bring himself to test it on some random person. He grabbed one of the toxins, one he knew wasn't deadly and placed a tourniquet on his arm. He pulled the rubber around his upper arm tight and pushed the needle into his vein. As soon as the plundger was pushed all the way he pulled the band off his arm.
He gasped as a rush of fire coarsed through his Veins and subsequently into his heart. The pain wasn't unbearable but the scare was enough for him to franticlly grab the antidote off the tray. He managed to inject the entire solution just as the first agent reached his brain. He dropped the needle as he felt himself grow dizzy and fall fast towards the floor. He was unconscious before he even hit the floor.
When he awoke several hours later he felt almost numb. It was as if his nerve endings had been fried. He should be burning up, after all this was a military base in the middle of a desert and he could see the light still peaking through the cracks of the ceiling.
He dragged himself off the floor and up into his chair. He grabbed the glass vial and turned it over. When he read the lable his heart sank. He had grabbed the wrong one. The agent he thought he had grabbed was one that would make him feel a sense of nostalgia. This one he had never tested. There was around six agents he had yet to test out and this was one of them. However the X on the front didn't e as e the growing worry in his chest. There was still some of the agent in the bottle. Maybe he could test him on someone to see if there would be any lasting effects...

Sun Spots Stealing Your Sunshine? ☀️
Sun spots got you down? Don't worry, fellow sunbeam lover, we've all been there. But fear not! Here are some fun and effective ways to fade those pesky spots and reclaim your radiant glow:
But first, let's talk prevention:
Sunscreen is your BFF: SPF 30+ every day, rain or shine (yes, even on cloudy days!). Reapply every 2 hours, especially if you're sweating or swimming.
Seek shade: Take breaks from the midday sun, especially between 10 am and 4 pm when the rays are strongest.
Accessorize with protection: Hats, sunglasses, and sun-protective clothing are your stylish allies.
Natural Remedies:
DIY Magic: Whip up a mask with honey (antioxidant powerhouse!), yogurt (for gentle exfoliation), and lemon juice (natural lightening agent). Apply, relax, and reveal brighter skin!
Aloe Vera to the Rescue: This soothing plant can help reduce inflammation and promote healing, making it a great spot treatment. Just slice open a leaf and dab the gel on your sun spots.
Green Tea Power: Sip on this antioxidant-rich beverage or use cooled tea bags as compresses to reduce hyperpigmentation.
Over-the-counter Solutions:
Vitamin C Serum: This brightening hero helps even out skin tone and boost collagen production. Look for serums with at least 10% L-ascorbic acid.
Kojic Acid Cream: This natural skin lightener works by inhibiting melanin production, but do a patch test first as it can irritate sensitive skin.
Retinol Products: These encourage cell turnover, revealing new, smoother skin underneath. Start slow and use sunscreen religiously, as retinol increases sun sensitivity.⏳
Tumblr media
Pro Treatments:
Chemical Peels: These exfoliate the top layer of skin, revealing brighter, more even-toned skin. Consult a dermatologist to find the right peel for you. ✨
Laser Treatments: Lasers target and destroy sunspot pigment, offering faster results but also higher costs and potential side effects. Talk to a professional to see if this is right for you.
Everyone's skin is different, so what works for one person might not work for another. Patch test any new product on a small area before applying it to your entire face. And always consult a dermatologist if you have any concerns.
Share your sun spot journey on Tumblr! Document your progress, ask for tips, and support others on their sun-kissed adventures.
Let's reclaim our sun-kissed confidence together!

the beginning of the end.
I’ve always found comfort in writing. There’s something therapeutic about it. Being able to put your thoughts down on paper, releasing all that’s scrambling around in your head - it’s nice. It also helps to organize my thoughts and to process them too. So, that’s what I’m going to do - put my journalism degree to use (finally!!!) and write. There’s been a lot going on in my life lately and I need to get it all out of my head somehow. So here we are - a new blog. I don’t think I’ve had a blog since I was in middle school or something. Remember LiveJournal? Is that still a thing?
Anyways, If you’re uncomfortable with the female anatomy and its functions then please move on, this story or this blog isn’t for you.
But, I’m finally at the beginning of the end. The end of monthly pain that I’ve suffered from since I was about 13  years old. The end of torturous periods. The end of sleepless nights doubled over willing and praying that the cramps would stop. The end of sitting at my desk during work, sweating my ass off because my body is in so much pain and it’s taking all that it can out of me. The end of wondering if I can make it through a social event without feeling like I want to die. Hoping and praying that I’m doing enough on the outside to mask the pain - making sure that everyone else around me has no idea that I’m hurting because I don’t want to be a burden or ruin anyone’s plans, moods, etc.   The end of spending money on feminine products, spending money on heating pads, remedies, medications - all of which never really solved anything.
How did we get here? How did I get to the beginning of the end? Well, about a year ago I started experiencing some strange pains in my stomach. Pain that kept me up at night. There was nothing that made it better, but nothing that made it worse either. Just a constant pain lingering on the lower right side of my abdomen. I thought it could have been appendicitis. Or, perhaps it’s just some gas? Or - maybe something is up with my gallbladder. Maybe my IUD was out of place. But no, none of that. Nothing ever showed up on X-rays, tests, ultrasounds, or blood work to indicate an issue.
So, I carried on.
Until about a month ago.
One morning in October, I woke up with the worst cramps I’ve ever had in my life. We’re talking 15/10 on a scale of 10. The pain had me pretty messed up. I know I logged into my computer to work that day - but I also remember only laying down on my beanbag chair in my office and squeezing a pillow so tightly, hoping the pain would go away. After laying with a heating pad and loading up on a large amount of ibuprofen, I was finally able to call my OBGYN’s office. All I wanted at that point was to talk to a nurse, to have it documented that I was in a lot of pain and to make sure it was on my record so that my gynecologist and I could talk about it during my annual wellness exam, that was only a few weeks away. The nurse couldn’t have been any more sympathetic to what I was going through. She could tell in my voice that I was uncomfortable. She took down my information, wrote down all that I was dealing with, and then spoke to my doctor. My doctor recommended an ultrasound - mostly to check and make sure that my IUD was in its right spot, but to also see if something else might be causing my discomfort.
So, a week later, I had my ultrasound appointment.
Now, this isn’t any normal ultrasound. This was a transvaginal ultrasound. Doesn’t sound fun, does it?
It’s not.
Let me break it down for you. It’s a stranger, with a wand, probing around your private parts for a good 45 minutes and taking pictures of your insides. She’s not really explaining what she’s looking at, but instead trying to have a discussion about what halloween costume she’s going to wear that weekend. It quite frankly was the worst 45 minutes of my life. I hated every moment of it. While the tech was trying to make it as easy and comfortable as possible for me - it wasn’t. It was painful. All I could do was stare at the ceiling and try my hardest not to react to any movements by her or cry.
Once it was over, the waiting game began.
I had an appointment scheduled with my gynecologist a week and a half after that ultrasound took place. It was a long 10 days. But that appointment literally changed EVERYTHING.
My doctor and a surgeon reviewed my ultrasound. They were able to determine a few things. First,I had 2 different diseases that I was diagnosed with - endometriosis and adenomyosis. Second, I likely would never be able to have children. Third, what I thought was ‘normal’ (aka the horrible cramps and all the other exponentially worse experiences of being a woman on a monthly basis) - was and is not normal at all.  But, with all that bad news, I FINALLY had answers on why I have been suffering most of my life.
For those of you who don’t know, endometriosis is a disease where the lining/tissue of your uterus grows outside of your uterus. The tissue can be found in the fallopian tubes, on the ovaries, on many different parts of your body. Every month, when that tissue sheds from the uterus (your period), the tissue everywhere else in the body has nowhere to go to escape, causing pain. The hormones released by your ovaries triggers the endometriosis, causing pain. Adenomyosis takes it a step further - that same tissue - (again, which should ONLY be in your uterus) actually grows within the muscles and walls of the uterus. So every time hormones are released, or your uterus contracts (cramps) - it squeezes that tissue in the muscles making the pain 1000000000x worse than ‘normal’ period cramps. (or so I’m told. I can’t tell you what a normal period cramp feels like.)
So great. I finally have a diagnosis. It actually gave me some relief. I suddenly have an explanation for what I’ve been going through. I no longer feel crazy for complaining about how bad my cramps are. I no longer have to gaslight myself (I’m really good at this) into thinking that it’s all in my head, that it’s not ‘that’ bad, etc. I actually have a medical diagnosis to explain all that’s happening. I have tons of research to do! I can learn how to live with this and have a normal life! Right?
Well… sort of.
You see, while medications can help with endometriosis and you can even have a surgery to have it scraped away from your body and get some relief - the relief may not be permanent. The only way for it to totally go away is naturally, through menopause. Which in reality could be 10, 15, 20, maybe even 30 years away. But, there is no medicine to help fix adenomyosis. Again, I could wait for menopause for the adenomyosis to go away too.
But, the only way to fix adenomyosis is through surgery.
By removing my uterus.
A hysterectomy.
Hysterectomy. That’s a pretty big word. That’s a pretty big deal. There’s a lot of finality with a hysterectomy. No more periods - which in turn means no more pain. It also means never being able to have children. That’s okay too - I never had a desire to have children, and thankfully neither does my husband. But in a weird way, it also feels like a bit of an identity crisis. Like a loss of a part of my femininity. And that’s been a bit of a struggle. And I think I’ll eventually talk about these things in other posts in the future.
But I was faced with this decision - do I medicate the endometriosis and deal with the adenomyosis until menopause, or do I get the hysterectomy and live my life free from monthly pain?
For me, it was a simple choice. I chose hysterectomy.
My hysterectomy will be scheduled soon. I met with my surgeon a couple of weeks ago.. He’s really great. I feel comfortable with him and I feel comfortable with my decision. This decision will ultimately improve my quality of life. It will make my life a hell of a lot easier and will allow me to enjoy life to the fullest.
I never would have imagined going through this surgery, especially at 35 years old. There have been many times when I’ve had cramps where I’ve thought “can’t I just get rid of it all?!” And now, finally, I can.
You might be wondering why I am sharing this. Well, to be completely honest, I hope that I will be able to help others who are going through the same thing or, receive this diagnosis. Especially younger women. I hope that I can help them stand up and advocate for themselves and their health. I’ve been dealt a bad hand when it comes to doctors as of late and if I didn’t advocate for myself and also take the time to research doctors to make sure I have nothing but the best from here on out - who knows where I would be. I also hope that this will help me to connect to other women who may have already gone through all of this. To find others who UNDERSTAND. It can feel very isolating when you’re sick or have a sickness and no one really understands. I also hope it will help me process all of this. This is a major surgery. I’m having multiple ORGANS removed from my body. That’s crazy. That’s something that I’m still having a hard time wrapping my head around.
So, I hope being able to write about this, the process, my feelings, my recovery - will just help to make it that much easier for me. I have a lot on my mind surrounding this procedure and a lot that I want to discuss.. There’s a lot of what ifs and there are a lot of fears. But there’s also hope. So while this is the beginning of the end of my relationship with my uterus, it will also bring a new beginning to my life.
Excited to start the countdown til I can say, “See you later, ovulater!”

Art, Books & Madness update
So I've been throwing around ideas for this in my mind for a while & testing out a few different ones, and I think I finally settled on what I like...
(For those who don't know, Artbooksandmadness.com is my art website, you should go check it out because it's super great & there's a little something for everyone over there)
There's gonna be 6 main changes happening on the website over August.
Scheduled posts
Since it launched in February, the website has only had blog posts uploaded in an irregular order, with no schedule for which category is getting uploaded and no real pattern or consistency.
That's changing.
From August, I'm going to be keeping to a schedule. It'll run on a 3-1 routa
Week 1: Miscellaneous
Week 2: Art History
Week 3: Getting Technical
Week 4: No blog posts.
♤♡◇♧
Week 1: No art pieces.
Week 2: No art pieces.
Week 3: No art pieces.
Week 4: New art piece uploaded to the gallery.
Hopefully, this new routine will help people find a rhythm with my writing and with my posting. It'll also help me with creating since I'll know what I'm working on each week, rather than trying to juggle everything and feeling a bit like a flying monkey on a unicycle.
This is also going to follow through to my livestreaming schedule, which will run as follows:
Week 1: Three streams - Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
Week 2: Two streams - Wednesday & Friday
Week 3: Three streams - Monday, Wednesday & Friday
Week 4: Two streams - Tuesday & Thursday
This will give me a better routine, and I'll be able to separate "Private" projects that I'm keeping to myself, "Work" projects which do not get streamed before they're published, and "Stream" projects which are for everyone to see.
Email lists & campaigns
Even though I've had the option available on my website since launching it, I haven't actually created an email campaign yet. It's pretty confusing, and it took me a while to figure out what I wanted to include in it. But I've finally, finally found something I think will work.
It's going to be a bi-weekly newsletter campaign, and it'll feature:
A quick update on my personal life
My favourite detail from a "private" project, which I'm either really excited about or which is driving me insane
News on which book I'm currently writing (& maybe a small clue about what it's about, or my favourite quote that I've written so far, or a little detail I really like)
A recap of what's been uploaded to the website recently
A clue for something I'm excited (or sometimes nervous) about being uploaded or completed over the next 2 weeks
Discord information & quotes
I've been running a discord server for my channel for a few months, but being a perfectionist means I've been trying to make it as ideal as I can, straight away. The result of this has been a lot of empty promises and a disappointed community. To remedy that, I'm now letting go of some control and going with what is good enough, rather than what is perfect. I'm also prioritising what the community wants, rather than just what I personally like. Hopefully, the result is going to be a server we can all find a community and lasting friendships in.
Once a month, I'm going to be uploading the community's favourite snippet from a conversation on Discord. Maybe it'll be something which really made us laugh, maybe it'll be something which really made us think, maybe it was something that we all related to.
In the last week of each month, I'll go through the conversations - and whichever comments have the top 3 amounts of reactions and interactions will be featured. (Users will be 100% able to opt out of this if they don't want to be featured. You can also choose to have me share it anonymously, if you'd prefer.)
Writing advice
I already started this with my 4 part series documenting my experience writing my first gay romance novel. I'm going to finish the series on schedule, and then I'm going to continue posting advice for new writers. But I'm adding a twist.
I'm not going to do "How to" guides unless someone specifically asks me to cover a certain topic.
Instead, I'm going to post about something a little more controversial: literary analysis.
Once a month, I'll upload a post covering literary analysis - analysing characters, reading into and understanding subplots, metaphors and imagery in text, referencing culture versus dating the text, author's reality portrayed in fiction, symbology, themes, genres and sub-genres... I'm going to be absolutely geeking out about this, and I'm going to love it.
The discord server will get to vote on what gets uploaded each month, and one lucky person will even get to vote on whether I analyse a certain book or if I look at something larger. This is a change I'm super, super excited about.
Art advice, not just history
I've done 2 posts on art history : 1 on surrealism and 1 on dadaism. I enjoyed doing them, but they were very time-consuming for my info-whore of a brain. Plus, they weren't very cohesive; I forgot what I wrote in one and contradicted it in the other, then had to backtrack to explain... and it got kind of muddy. I'll 100% hold my hands up and admit that. It also would've been smarter to write them the other way around.
So from August, I'm going to offer readers a choice: art history or art advice?
If you choose art history, you'll get to vote on a theme, era, style, or artist for me to research and write about. Sometimes, these will be multiple choice. Sometimes, it'll be open comments, and whichever one gets the most interactions will get selected.
If you choose art advice, you get to give me ideas on what to write about. Whichever request gets the most interactions in an alloted amount of time will get selected, and I'll write a piece covering how to do that certain technique or style, along with a little bit of info-dumping about the history of that style / technique / etc,.
Sponsored posts / affiliate links
This is something I'm really excited about, but I know not everyone will be happy about it. From August, some of my posts will feature affiliate links and / or sponsorships with brands and companies. I've thought about this a lot and decided it's something I need to do in order to fund my career as a self-employed artist and writer.
I'll be teaming up with brands who I agree with - I will research them, and I will dig into them before agreeing to work with them. If I promote a brand or a company, it will only be after thoroughly looking into them, so you can be 100% sure that I share values with them.
I will also only promote things relevant to what I'm posting about. So, if I'm posting about pin-ups, I'll probably promote something to do with lingerie or adult entertainment. If I'm posting about cartoons, I might promote a brand that makes art supplies that are good to use to create your own cartoons. If I'm posting about horror, I might promote a brand that sells horror merchandise.
I know not everyone agrees with affiliate marketing or sponsored posts. And I know there is no way to do this perfectly because almost no established brands have squeaky clean histories, and the ones that do are a little bit sus because they're squeaky clean. Even though I will be doing my absolute best to vet the brands and companies I work with, I know there will be some things that fall through the cracks when it comes to larger names. I will try to avoid this by going mostly with lesser known names and leaning towards up-&-coming brands and companies, who are queer-owned &/ or BIPOC-owned. However, I do also need to think of paying my bills, and sometimes that is going to mean doing some work for companies with imperfect track records.
In order to compensate for this, on the rare occasions when I decide to work with more controversial or less ethical companies, I will make sure I agree with what they are trying to achieve now. It'll be the ones who are trying to adapt, who are trying to redeem themselves, who are making an effort to unlearn their histories and learn from society and the public in order to change their image and their practices.
That is the best compromise I can come up with to try and keep all of you and my anxiety happy, and food in my cupboards and a roof over my head.
♤♡◇♧♤♡◇♧♤♡◇♧
These changes won't all be happening at once. They will be slowly implemented over the course of the entire month, but they will be put in place by midnight on August 31st, 2023.
♤♡◇♧ if you would like to be one of the first on my mailing list, send me a DM & I'll add you to it. You'll be the first to see anything sent by me. ♧◇♡♤
♤♡◇♧ If you would like to join the Discord server, please respond to this post or send me a DM & I'll send you an invite. It's 18+ only, and I'm currently in the middle of rebranding it & playing around with the Bot in it, so be prepared to walk in and see crickets chirping while the violin players play on the dock. ♧◇♡♤

Ayurvedic Classical Medicine Manufacturer: Preserving Ancient Healing for the Modern World
Ayurveda, the ancient science of life, has stood the test of time for over 5,000 years. Rooted in the natural healing traditions of India, Ayurvedic classical medicine offers powerful and time-tested solutions for a wide range of health conditions. Today, the role of an Ayurvedic classical medicine manufacturer has become increasingly important in ensuring the authenticity, purity, and availability of these traditional remedies.
In a time when people are returning to nature and holistic wellness, classical Ayurvedic medicines are witnessing a strong resurgence. If you’re a distributor, wellness professional, or healthcare provider looking to align with natural healthcare, understanding the offerings and importance of classical Ayurvedic formulations is crucial. This article will explore the role of manufacturers in this space and present an essential Ayurvedic classical medicines list to help guide your journey.
What is Ayurvedic Classical Medicine? Ayurvedic classical medicine refers to the formulations documented in ancient Ayurvedic texts like:
Charaka Samhita
Sushruta Samhita
Ashtanga Hridaya
These medicines have been used for generations and follow precise preparation methods described in the scriptures. Unlike proprietary Ayurvedic medicines, classical formulations are standardized, universally recognized, and often prescribed by Ayurvedic doctors (Vaidyas).
Who is an Ayurvedic Classical Medicine Manufacturer? An Ayurvedic classical medicine manufacturer is a certified entity that produces these traditional formulations in compliance with ancient methods and modern quality standards. These manufacturers play a vital role in:
Preserving authentic Ayurvedic recipes
Ensuring ingredient purity and sourcing
Maintaining consistency in formulations
Adhering to GMP, AYUSH, and ISO standards
Distributing through pharmacies, hospitals, PCD franchises, and wellness centers
With increased demand and tighter regulatory frameworks, trusted manufacturers help ensure classical Ayurvedic medicines are both effective and safe for consumers.
Importance of Quality Manufacturing in Ayurveda The integrity of Ayurvedic classical medicines depends largely on the methods of preparation. This includes the timing of ingredient collection, purification (Shodhana), and specific formulation techniques. A reliable Ayurvedic classical medicine manufacturer adheres to these strict principles and combines them with modern hygiene and packaging practices.
Top manufacturers also invest in:
In-house research and development
Experienced Ayurvedic physicians and pharmacists
Third-party lab testing for purity and potency
Eco-friendly sourcing and sustainable manufacturing
By maintaining such standards, these companies uphold the credibility of Ayurvedic healthcare globally.
