Mr Underhill's Finest Seafood Specialities by @nocompromise-noregrets- Oneshot from Frodo's POV as famous food critic, Thorin Oakeshield, arrives as his uncle's restaurant. All the interactions between the characters were fun as well as seeing Bagginshield through Frodo's eyes.

Teach Me Your Ways by airebellah- Multi-chapter story with refugee Thorin struggling through English, but he meets Bilbo who accepts him as he is. Honestly, super fluffy fic with lots of family moments that I really wish there was a sequel, but accept it as is.

Dating Blind by badskippy- Jealous waiter Thorin does sabotages Bilbo's blind dates. This was just perfect, and yes, Thorin does make up for it.

Sparks & Gardens by @fantasyinallforms- Down on his luck Thorin manages to get the best deal of his life when he becomes gentleman Bilbo Baggins handyman. Look, regency is normally not my taste, but this fic does such a good job of just making that the setting and not necessarily the theme (if that makes sense).

The Kitchen Thief by @mordellestories- Multi-chapter Tolkien AU (?) where Thorin still has dwarven blood but can get by with appearing as a human baker in a time where anyone else is treated with discrimination. I will forever be laughing at Bilbo's "oh no, it's the nutty baker" comment.

Stranded by @tickles-ivory- Multi-chapter AU where Thorin and Bilbo live in separate universes but find each other. Honestly, super cute concept and execution with fun "slice of life" chapters at the end.

My Love's a Noble Madness by silverneko9lives0- Bilbo works at an insane asylum where Thorin is a patient who thinks he's in love with him. Okay, I have to say that the tags on this had me scared for A LONG time, but there's actually 0 non-con after Thorin gets medicated and you find out the fucked up situation they find themselves in the beginning is all Azog/Sauron/Melkor's fault.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Yes. Always. It's just wonderful to get feedback. I read and respond to every single comment. They mean the world to me, truly.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Probably No Good Advice. I ended up writing Moments multi-chapter as I (and a friend) couldn't bear the idea they didn't end up together lolol.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

All of them, tbh. I can't write an unhappy ending. Maybe the mushiest is Second Son, Moments, or It Had To Be You.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Luckily not much yet. I did get one hate anon early on. It wasn't about a specific fic, though. It said they didn't know why I had a 'please don't steal my work' disclaimer (the standard one that most writers here use) cos I was delusional that my work was worth stealing. 🤷‍♀️

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Yes, it's my trademark. It's rare when I don't write smut. 😬 I'm not sure what is meant by kind of smut. I've written it all, from vanilla romantic sex to kink threesomes with harnesses and double penetration lol. I haven't had a request yet that I've turned down due to sexual content.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Not yet. The closest I've gotten is It Had To Be You, which is based on When Harry Met Sally.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Yes, sadly, it has happened quite a few times now. I was so fed up with filing copyright takedown notices that I set up a Wattpad account to try to counter it.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

No. I've been offered but have turned it down. I have no way to check that any translation would get across the nuance I aim for. So I know that may be anglo-centric, but its how I feel for now.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Not yet, but I am always threatening to lolol.

14. What’s your all-time favourite ship?

Hmm, tough one. I do love Kanthony tbh.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Benedict as a virgin. I just urghhh.... it's been a WIP for 17 months now. I just dunno why I won't finish it; I just get the feeling I won't.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I have no bloody idea. I'd prefer readers answer that tbh lol. My inclination is to say I don't have one, except perhaps a willingness to describe sex in ridiculous levels of detail? Is that a strength?

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

World building. I will do anything to shortcut it. I'll find an economical way to describe a situation e.g. she's a widow; they're old friends. Got it? Good! Let's get down to business.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I've done a smidgeon of French as I studied it for ten years. But I doubt I'd do another language tbh.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Only Bridgerton so far.

20. Favourite fic you’ve written?

Bloody hell, I have no fucking idea. It literally changes depending on my mood. But I don't really care for my own writing that much, all I see is flaws lol. I guess the universe I would most like to write more for one day is Mrs Bridgerton and its sequel. Does that count?

Favourite Story You Wrote: It’s a toss-up between “Local Man Returns From Trip, Discovers Boyfriend Adopted 25 Cats” and “A Shit Time To Be A Templar” which are both M!Hawke/Anders crack fics prompted by the DA Kink Meme. 

The first fic is pretty self-explanatory, the latter is from a prompt that asked for Anders shape-shifting into a bird who goes round shitting on templars’ heads, and Meredith asks Hawke to kill it (spoiler: he doesn’t). I had way too much fun writing way too many poo jokes – because I have the sense of humour of your typical dumb 15-year-old British schoolboy 😂

Do You Outline? Sort of? Like Kagetsukai, I used to be a pantser, until I realised that style didn’t work for me with longfics. Sometimes I pants my way through the odd scene, just writing whatever grabs me (I almost never write from the start of a fic, I usually write something from the middle first), but after I’ve pantsed my way through a few related scenes I sketch out a very rough outline of the fic’s plot and a bullet-pointed list of things I want to happen / plot points to include. I tend to write up more detailed chapter summaries/plans a few at a time, write those, then go back and plan the next few chapters, and so on. 

One-shots are generally pantsed all the way through, but I approach that like my work articles – I’ve usually already got a good idea in my head of how I want the piece to go before I write it, so I just write it in one draft and post it (I tend to edit as I go along while drafting – a habit I picked up from work).

Coming Soon/Not Yet Started: I am currently 10,100+ words into a modern-day-with magic Carver/Merrill Pornstar AU called “Actually, Love” ! I am very excited about sharing that one with you all (it’s an explicit smutfic, obviously, LOL). I have the beginning and the end down and most of the middle, I just need to finish joining up all the bits in the middle! 😄

Do You Accept Prompts? Currently no, because I’ve too much on.

tagging: uh... anyone who hasn’t done this yet? @alxndrlightwoods, @beamirang @elfyourmother @gingersnapwolves @janoda (I randomly picked letters and let tumblr mention people on its own, PLEASe don’t take this too seriously... 🙃😅) PLEASE DO THIS IF YOU’RE REMOTELY SO INCLINED, even if I haven’t tagged you, AND THEN BLAME ME, I love seeing these things.

Fandoms: BioWare, historically, a pretty even mix in my head of Dragon Age & Mass Effect but clearly I mostly managed to write for DA2. Currently, mostly Shadowhunters, though I’m working on an Inception crossover and I dabble in a lot of things... mostly still video games tho, there’s just something about the framework of a good RPG protagonist just waiting to be filled in. #7kpp and Code: Realize and Cinders! Some day maybe I’ll finally do something with Jade Empire since it’s my favorite...

I write a lot of random prompt-fills & yuletide randomness, just a few little stories for fandoms I never really got lost it but still enjoy, like a Georgette Heyer regency epilogue and a Firefly/Serenity thing because I will apparently never be over Zoe/Wash ever.

Number of fics: A lot of my fic is ficlet collections, so I’m not sure how you want to count this, (and I’ve lost a decent number of things over the years too, whoops), especially since a couple of my “fics” on AO3 are actually fanmixes that I put on there so they’d link properly to the fics they accompany, and there’s a collab that’s not just me, but uh... depending on the math, anywhere from 145 to 500-ish? (AO3 says I have 152 published.)

Fic I spent more time on: I start a lot of fic and then may literally let it lay dormant for years... I’m not necessarily working on it all that time though. SO uh. Cruel Intentions sat for five years between the kink-meme prompt that started it all and me finally writing a conclusion? *shrugs* IDK.

Fic I spent less time on: A lot of the ficlets are just sort of dashed off whenever I managed to get inspiration. In terms of a proper fic I’d have to say Impossible kind of wrote itself in one or two sittings. (priest!kink is clearly something I should indulge in more often 😅)

Longest fic: The 3-Shepards Collab (on borderline permanent hiatus? we may get back to it some day) Persephone Rising at almost 200k words. In terms of “I actually wrote the whole damn thing” we’ve got Lost for Words at just over 62k. (Yay Mass Effect?)

Shortest: erm. I write a lot of like, 3sentence prompt fic and everything? But in terms of: stands alone as posted, it is apparently... Fools, about Brosca & Leske in DA:O. 😭

Most hits/Most kudos/Most bookmarks: ALL FOR i am for you  (14871, 868, and 282, respectively)

In second place for hits is I like the thrill of under me you (because porn usually does get more hits and less of everything else), for kudos & bookmarks it’s two are halves of one. Because SH fandom likes fluff to counteract the melodrama of canon? Only maybe not since next is the one where I kill Alec and everyone’s sad... SH fandom likes fluff and Magnus whump disguised as torturing Alec? We’re apparently all terrible people.

Total words combined: published, I have 1,088,995 words on AO3!

Which obviously doesn’t count all the bits and bobs that never made it there and all the WIPs that I’m trying to finish before I start posting again. I don’t have the faintest idea how to figure that number out tho 😅

Fic you want to rewrite or expand: Generally, if it made it to AO3 I at least enjoyed writing it, and even if I wouldn’t write it the same way now, I had fun then, so I seldom re-do things. (With a notable exception of the one introducing Theia Hawke (and killing her) which I rewrote to have less sex and more manipulation to fit all the stuff I wrote later... and retitled to fit all the rest of it better, too. I didn’t think she’d get so much fic when I started with her dying. Shows what I know.)

That said! If we’re expanding, I would really like to write sequels/continuations to several things, most notably Regency/Persuasion Malec, mer!alec, The Forest That (sometimes) Eats People (but is mostly very nice once you get to know it) & how do you recover from dying aka the s3 canon divergence fic for Shadowhunters.

Fav fic you wrote: erm. That’s an impossible question, and I’d give you a different answer almost every day.

Today uh... warm as silk because the #7kpp discord was talking about Code: Realize yesterday, and it’s very soft and pretty and I almost didn’t write it but then I finally managed it, and that’s always an excellent feeling.

Alec Lightwood is a revelation.

She's seen Magnus fall too hard and too fast before, but she's never seen him like this, never seen him look lighter for it rather than just more intense, never seen the person he'd fallen for look just as far gone just as fast. Alec's expression when he looks at Magnus is sublime, it's like he's smiling all the way to his fingertips, and she has to look away.

Note: This fic was a request from @choicesarehard for her birthday for the prompt: Do you like it when I touch you like that with edging as a component of the fic. I didn’t use the exact phrase, but close to it in various places and tried to keep it as a theme throughout. It is also my entry for Day 1 of Ride or Die Appreciation Week

Logan stretches his arms over his head while lying in bed on a lazy Sunday morning. “Finally, a day all to ourselves. No work, no school, no obligations whatsoever.”

“Pshh.” Gabi rests head on Logan’s shoulder. “I don’t even know what freetime is anymore. What are we going to do with ourselves?” 

“Oh, I can think of something.” Logan waggles his eyebrows suggestively.

“Well that’s 30 minutes,” Gabi teases. What about the rest of our day?”

“Hey!” Logan objects. "I think I've already proven, many times, I can keep you occupied much longer than that."

“But you are too good at making me come.” Gabi absentmindedly traces a finger over the contours of Logan’s sculpted torso. “After three or four times, I’m done.”

“Well...” Logan rolls Gabi on top of him, her legs straddling his hips. “Then I’ll just have to take my time with you.” Logan slips his hands under his white t-shirt Gabi has claimed as her own and ghosts his hands up her sides sending shivers down her spine. “I won’t let you come until I’ve explored every inch of you...” He thumbs light circles over her breasts, her nipples forming stiff peaks beneath his electric touch. “...and pushed you close to the edge over and over again.” Logan sits up and peels the t-shirt up and over Gabi’s head. He takes one of her nipples in his mouth, swirling his tongue around the tip before pulling back with a smug grin as Gabi whimpers. 

Gabi’s gaze sweeps over Logan and she doesn’t think she’ll every get over how perfect he is. “You’re going to torture me, aren’t you?”

Logan suddenly flips Gabi over in one smooth motion and pins her wrists down.” Only the best kind of torture.” He kisses the sensitive spot behind her ear, and she writhes beneath him. “I think I know you pretty well by now, but I want to know all the places you like to be touched, everything that drives you wild.”

“Um, pretty much anywhere you touch me is my favorite place.” 

“We’ll see about that.” Logan kneels beside Gabi and slinks down between her feet. He picks one up, swiping a finger from heel to toe and Gabi squirms. 

“That tickles.” Gabi giggles and shakes her foot out of his grasp.

“See? Not everywhere is your favorite. I take it I can cross foot fetish off your list of kinks.”

“You never know, maybe I want to suck your toes,” she replies with a straight face and Logan’s eyes widen. “I’m just kidding, your toes are safe.”

Logan throws his hands up in the air. “No kink shaming from me. If you wanted to suck my toes, I’d let you...but I’m also good with you not doing that.” Logan picks up her foot again and brushes his lips against the inside of her ankle sending an unexpected jolt of pleasure upward towards her core. “How about that.”

“Wow.” Gabi laughs. “Now I get why showing your ankles in the regency era was so risque.”

“I love it when you talk nerdy to me.” Logan continues to plant kisses up her leg, looking up at her through his lashes. “It’s hot.” Logan’s mouth moves up to Gabi’s inner thigh, her whole body tensing as she fists her hands in his hair trying to guide him where she wants him the most. “Uh-uh, it’s much too soon for that.” Logan rolls Gabi onto her stomach and leans down to whisper in her ear. ”You have a whole side of you I haven’t touched at all.” He sweeps her hair over her shoulder, starting at the back of her neck and massaging downward with his fingertips. 

“Mmm,” Gabi moans, every bit of her skin alight beneath his touch. His hands glide over the small of her back before he hooks his fingers in the waistband of her panties and slips them off. He works his hands back up her legs and stops on her ass, kneading the tender flesh.

Logan flops back up beside Gabi, kissing her deeply as he dips a hand between her legs. He finds her entrance, and pauses teasingly. “Let’s see how many fingers you like.” He sinks one inside and a soft moan escapes her lips. “Okay, so that’s good, but what about two?” He adds another, pumping them in and out and her moans get louder. Logan chuckles. “It must be intense if you said ‘fuck.’ Are you good?”

Gabi groans. “I was almost there.”

He sucks harder, responding to the subtle, unintelligible noises she’s making, and it feels so good she bucks her hips into him as a strangled sound emanates from deep within her.
