Things that I've done in real life as Yahaba:
1. While walking to my next class, a girl was walking backwards and she obviously didn't see me and ended up bumping into me. While I was in the middle of apologizing (even though she bumped into me) she turned around, looking really angry, and yelled "Watch where the fuck you're going, bitch!" I said nothing in return because of how shocked I was. The worst part is she was a grade below me and I still let her yell at me.
2. During a volleyball practice I had began to have a panic attack. Now, instead of doing the normal thing and telling a coach and asking to leave temporarily or something, I did nothing. I just continued practice like normal while I couldn't breathe and my heart was going a mile a minute. No one ever noticed it either.
Things that I've done in real life as Kyoutani:
1. Getting stared at and made fun of during some lunch periods for sitting alone with headphones in. Like, on numerous occasions random people would stop near me and ask me random shit and pretend they were my friend while all of their real friends laughed behind them. (I don't really know how they thought they were making fun of me by doing that but I could tell they thought they were lol.)
2. Having all of my teammates constantly run up to me after points and during timeouts for high-fives because "yours are the best!" (I always high-fived them as hard as I could.) Without them knowing, this really helped me make a connection and feel like I belonged on the team with them.

omg!! please share what other heist films you watched, that’s such a fun idea. and which was your fav!!!!
i would love to share my watchlist for heist week!! all are films before 1970, because i wanted to watch heists new to me, but i'll also include some modern heist movies i love at the bottom!
The Asphalt Jungle (1950) — the granddaddy of the heist genre. it's really good! and it has every aspect of the heist (the planning, the execution, and the fallout), which i love.
The Lavender Hill Mob (1951) — so goofy and fun. features fantastic Alec Guinness performance and some great screwball elements (one of the final sequences reminded me a lot of the climax of What's Up, Doc.)
Ocean's Eleven (1960) — eh. I felt the problems were threefold: 1) took forever just to get to the heist, 2) all the guys looked the same and most did not have a defining role in the heist, and 3) Hay's Code ending. It's not terrible, but not worth watching when there is a far superior remake.
The League of Gentlemen (1960) — i can often be found on letterboxd bemoaning the fact there is probably an alternate universe where monty python made a heist movie and we're not in that universe. but! this film is definitely the closest we're gonna get. similar to the lavender hill mob in that they're both very british and very, very funny. really loved the level of shenanigans going here.
Gambit (1966) — my favorite of the week! it's a smaller heist (three person crew), but the film really plays with the idea of expectation vs. actual execution, and the assumptions white british guys make about, among other things, everyone who is not also a white british guy. bonus: shirley maclaine and michael caine have incredible chemistry. a great watch! highly recommend!
The Thomas Crown Affair (1968) — love when hot people commit crimes and other hot people try to stop them. the pacing here is a bit wonky, but it has a slick, sexy opening sequence and i'll never say no to a cat and mouse game. the heisting is definitely secondary though, just so you know that going in.
All the Heists I Loved Before: The Killing (1956), The Italian Job (1969), Sneakers (1992), Ocean's 11 (2001), Inception (2010), The Town (2010), Logan Lucky (2017), American Animals (2018), Ocean's 8 (2018)

The heroic version of "Mother Knows Best" from Disney's Tangled is me singing it to my dog to reassure her during scary storms ("mother's right here, mother will protect you"), to convince her to not run off down the street with reckless abandon because she saw a small animal and slipped out of her collar ("mother knows best, listen to your mother, it's a scary world out there [. . .] skip the drama, stay with mama"), and to convince her to not eat random scraps of garbage at every opportunity.
. . . that last one requires more creativity, admittedly.
"Mother knows best / take it from your mumsy / eating that will make you sick. / Stomach pain and puke / an inflammed pancreas - yes / it'll mess you up quick! / Bits of plastic, tape / tons of toxic acorns / and some odd slimy . . . bone? / None of these are food / you're weird to wanna eat them / I'm just sayin' 'cause I wuv you . . ."
