Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
LEE DONGHEON ミ 이동헌
way too chaotic while travelling because of the adrenaline of being on vacation
wants to buy all the souvenirs from shops— hats, stuffed animals, shirts, mugs, everything
you have to persuade him to not buy an extra suitcase and check it just to get more stuff cause he would
guards your luggage like his life depends on it whenever you go to use the bathroom or get food
BAE HOYOUNG ミ 배호영
most practical while travelling, he likes to be efficient
super organised during security checks, manages to sort all your electronics, jackets, and shoes into different bins at the speed of light
super into the views from the plane and likes to take pretty pictures or timelapses of the clouds
relays announcements to you if you were sleeping or had trouble hearing
HONG MINCHAN ミ 홍민찬
neck pillow connoisseur he probably packs way more than he needs just in case and buys a new one at the airport cause of the fun designs
always buying the most random trinkets just cause they’re funny
overly gentlemanly when you’re boarding; stores your luggage and ushers you to the window seat while calling you “milady”
reenacts the safety instructions that the flight attendants do with silly faces to make you laugh
JO GYEHYEON ミ 조계현
honestly sleeps wherever he can, both on the plane and while waiting to board
doesn’t like to get separated from you so he’d most likely follow you if you wanted to walk around or shop even if he isn’t too interested
makes travel playlists and shares his airpods with you so that you’ll both remember the trip through songs
gives you commentary on whatever movie he’s watching, complaining about annoying characters or plot-holes
JU YEONHO ミ 주연호
master of the comfort airport fashion so he can sleep on the plane, but also have a million pockets in case you need him to carry anything
is serious about ordering food and will take his time to pick the best options
100% gets lost at least once while window shopping
he loses where you are and is left wandering around the terminal forever trying to find you again
KIM YONGSEUNG ミ 김용승
uses your shoulder as his pillow instead of the other way around (he's the princess around here)
will write on his phone or in a notebook to communicate with you to get over the noise of the jet— he doesn’t like to raise his voice much :(
never gets lost in airports and always keeps track of the passports, tickets, gate number, etc
will store your luggage for you so you don’t have to lift the heavy suitcase
YOO KANGMIN ミ 유강민
let’s you rest your head on his shoulder
picks the same movie as you and times the start of them so it can sync up between both of your screens and you can watch together
plays with any jewelry you have on your hands/wrist while you sleep
orders food for you so you can sleep longer and will share his food with you if you want :(

half to your half
Tumblr media
➳ Lee Dongheon is a praised choreographer for a soon-to-be debuting boygroup, but the trainees are complaining about his strict way of teaching, so he ends up at your dance class alongside literal kids.
♦ Pairing: choreographer!Dongheon x choreographer!reader/you
♦ Genre: soulmate au, fluff, comedy
♦ Words: 8.5k
♦ Dedicated to: my other half @dat-town who deserves the world! I think you had a feeling I would write about Dongheon, but I hope you’ll enjoy the story nevertheless. “What do you mean I need training? I’ve thought you hired me because I was good enough.”
The air in the meeting room froze for a minute, but Lee Dongheon was firm in his words, and he wasn’t going to break the silence first when he was the one who had asked the previous question. He didn’t want to give up on keeping the eye-contact with the coordinator either because he was sure that sooner or later, the 30-something guy would break. He wasn’t willing to leave just yet, he needed his answers if he was about to receive training when he had been hired because the entertainment company had deemed him the most suitable dance choreographer for their soon-to-be-announced boy group.
“The thing is…” Mr Park started hesitantly, lowering his voice as he continued. “The trainees are complaining.”
Dongheon almost let out a snort hearing that. Almost. The only thing that held him back was his pride and the fact that he was a professional, so he wasn’t going to show that he wasn’t happy to receive such news.
“About what?” He quirked an eyebrow challengingly, having a feeling about what it would be about, but not wanting to back away either. He wasn’t even exactly surprised when he was told:
“About you being too strict.”
“They need to take dancing seriously. It’s not a child’s game. They are preparing for their debut, much worse is waiting for them once they eventually make it to live shows and all that,” Dongheon reasoned with a click of his tongue. He didn’t regret how he had treated those kids. Sure, they were 14-16 year old teenagers, but if they didn’t learn how to behave well during dance practices, when would they take their idol life seriously? One wrong move was enough to turn someone’s life into a hellhole, and they could laugh all they wanted outside of his dance practices, but he wasn’t going to let them have their way when he was their dance teacher.
So no, he didn’t want to show any remorse, nor did he want to seem like he was willing to beg for the company’s forgiveness. He didn’t think that he had done anything wrong. If they kept making mistakes, why wouldn’t he force them to practice more? Maybe he wasn’t the most beloved dance choreographer of all time, but his previous dance teams had never really complained. Though they hadn’t even been as young as these kids.
“Why don’t you just find a new choreographer then?” Dongheon asked flippantly, keeping the eye-contact with Mr Park. The coordinator let out an aghast sigh, then put his hands down on the table, leaning over, so that he could be closer to the guy and explain in a whisper-like tone:
“Because the choreography is yours, and the company is satisfied with it. You just need to soften up a bit,” he said, almost pleading. It seemed like they really did try to keep him at the company, but the choreographer wasn’t exactly happy about some random training when he had other dance classes to attend and other dance groups to teach.
He looked down at the inked words on his arm (a war worth fighting for), the half of that so-called soulmate quote everyone had on their skin. It was like a tattoo, but you couldn’t get rid of it no matter how much you tried. You had half of a quote and your soulmate had the other one, and when you said the two out loud at the same time when you finally found each other, the other half would be engraved into your skin.
He always looked at this half-quote as a life motto. He felt that if he wanted to achieve something, he would only get it if he worked hard enough for it, so that it seemed like a fight. Maybe this particular one would be the same.
“How?” He raised an eyebrow in an almost elegant way, willing to listen if they didn’t want to bring him into some nonsense. Hearing that, Mr Park leaned back, his lips curling upwards. He should have known that the man’s smile didn’t indicate anything good, but what he expected in that meeting room on that fine spring day was very, very far from what actually happened afterwards.
Lee Dongheon found himself at a different dance studio a few days later, staring at the palette of colourful clothes the kids were wearing as they were giddily running around the practice room, occasionally bumping into him and moving on after giggling a bit. If he called the 14-16 year old trainees kids, these kids were toddles. They couldn’t be older than 12. Tooths were missing, boys were screaming in high-pitched voices and girls were still taller than boys. This age group wasn’t something he had ever dealt with, and he didn’t even intend to do so. The entertainment company didn’t seem to think the same though.
He felt so out of place that his usually sociable self started feeling anxious, but it wasn’t because of the amount of people around, but rather because of the age group and their typical (and loud) antics. He didn’t get why he would need to spend time beside a dance teacher who taught dance to kids because it wasn’t the same dealing with teenagers and literal kids! They had different capabilities and different physiques, so how was he supposed to learn anything useful from this so-called training?
That’s when you walked in, dragging him out of his wandering thoughts, and greeted the kids cheerfully. They seemed to like you a lot, grabbing your hand to pull you closer to the centre of the practice room, hugging you (or well, your abdomen because they weren’t that tall to hug you properly) and chattering to you. You listened attentively to them, your smile dazzling and eyes shining in fondness, and only when you walked closer to the benches, did you actually catch sight of the choreographer.
“Oh, hi! You must be Lee Dongheon,” you noted with a bright smile, bowing a bit out of respect. He did the same, albeit a bit fidgety. You took note of his behaviour, cheekily remarking:
“You look like you’ve been reprimanded. Relax! It’s just a class for kids. I don’t even know why you’re here. I only know that you’re going to teach kids as well and need my help,” you explained to him beamingly, and you could see how his shoulders slumped. So you didn’t know. That lifted some weight off of his shoulder. Not because he was ashamed of the reason behind his presence, but rather because he didn’t get it either why he was assigned to you, so how could he explain the situation to you?
“Well, we could say so.” Dongheon nodded hesitantly because he wouldn’t quite phrase himself like that, but let’s just leave it that way.
“It’s okay. I’ve only been teaching kids for three years myself, so I’m not very experienced either, but all I can say is that with time, you’ll surely get used to it,” you reassured him first things first, and when you made sure that he didn’t have any questions, you clapped your hands to gain the kids’ attention, and started the class.
You started shushing the kids and telling them to follow you while you were presenting warm-up exercises. Dongheon followed you a bit clumsily in the beginning, but once he realised that the kid beside him wouldn’t give him odd glances (well, not all the time, just sometimes), he loosened up a bit, and you flashed an encouraging smile at him before continuing. After the warm-up, you went over with the steps for a choreography that you had started teaching the kids last time, and it wasn’t anything groundbreaking, so you weren’t surprised that Dongheon learned the moves just like that, and once it was time for the practice rounds with music, he executed it without any problem.
You decided that it would be best if you showed him how you usually led the classes and after going over the teaching part, he could try himself out while you were practicing the moves with the kids. You hadn’t been given any instruction on how to treat the dance choreographer and what you should do differently compared to your usual classes, you had only been told that he would need to learn how to teach kids, and it was your uncle who had asked you to let him join your classes, so how could you say no?
However, when it was time for the practice rounds by the end of the lesson, and Dongheon took your place, all you could hear was:
“Again!”
“Again!”
“Again!”
You shook your head after a few attempts of his because you could see how demotivated the kids got, their heads hanging low and their usually buzz killed right away. It physically hurt for you to witness what he was doing, and even though you were sure that he would make a great dance teacher one day, he really needed to learn how to deal with kids on top of being a good dancer himself.
“You can’t just tell them to do this again without pointing out their mistakes. They aren’t old enough to realise what they’ve done wrong each and every time.” You stepped beside him, deciding to interfere at this point, and despite the slight annoyed expression on his face, he didn’t voice out his disagreement, so you took it as a good sign and started going around the practice room, telling the kids individually what mistakes you had caught onto while watching them from the side. Then, you walked back to him, signalling him to go on.
You could see that the ones you had told about their mistakes tried to correct themselves, but there were still some children who did the moves wrong by either missing a beat, forgetting to move their hands alongside their legs or putting their arms in odd angles.
“Ag-” Dongheon started automatically, but when he caught himself saying the word, he immediately stopped. He sucked in a deep breath and closed his eyes briefly. For a moment, you assumed that he would give up and leave the dance practice behind, saying that he can’t do it any longer, but a second later, he started going around the room just like you had done so, instructing the kids what they should do differently.
You tried to conceal a triumphant smile, but you were proud nevertheless. He might have looked like he wanted to avoid directly touching the kids or that he was searching for ways to let them know about their mistakes without using too much professional dance vocabulary, but at least he was trying, and you appreciated that. Victories always started with initial attempts.
As he walked back to the centre, you tapped a few times on your wrist, indicating that it was time to finish the class, and he nodded.
“Okay, let’s do it one more time, and then, you’re free to go!” Dongheon announced firmly and when he gave you the signal, you pushed the play button on the laptop and started the music. You watched as this grown young man did the trivial little moves with your students, and you couldn’t help but smile at the sight. It was so obvious that he was used to something different, something that required more physical strength and stamina and probably more powerful moves, but he seemed to get the hang of your choreography by the end, and he was sweating nevertheless when the final round was finished.
“You all did well today, I’m really proud of you! Don’t forget to practice what we’ve learned so far! See you next time!” You clapped your hands as you were ready to bid your goodbye to your students. They all left in their own ways, but you liked that they were still pumped up, and some of them left the room while doing some moves. You gave them encouraging thumbs-ups and watched them leave with a fond smile before turning back to Dongheon.
“I can see that you have the intention of bringing the best out of them which is essential, you just need to keep in mind that teaching them and practicing with them isn’t the same as practicing by yourself and prompting yourself to do better,” you pointed it out based on what you had seen, but before he could say anything, you added: “But you were good. I could see the improvement.”
Dongheon seemed a bit speechless, ruffling his pitch-black locks to cover up his nervousness, but he still mumbled a hasty thank you in the end. You were content with just that much since it was the first time you had ever met. You inquired if he had any queries, but when he shook his head, you let him go on his way, watching with a knowing smile as he left. Then, you packed up your stuff after everyone had left and headed home.
The next time it was time for a class with the same group of kids, you arrived earlier than your brand new student slash co-tutor. You still didn’t really know why exactly he would need his training and why your assistance was enough because you were nowhere near an experienced professional, but you didn’t want to question neither your uncle, nor him. After all, you were sure that they would tell you if it mattered at all.
You put down your stuff on a bench, opening your laptop and getting ready to start the class while the students were coming into the classroom, chattering as cheerfully as always. Some of them went up to you telling you what they had been up to, or who around them had found their soulmate, and you listened attentively, finding their childish innocence and passion heartwarming.
Truth to be told, you didn’t believe in soulmates as much as those kids did. Maybe it’s because you had tasted the bitter medicine of life when you had been kicked out of an entertainment agency on the verge of debuting because you had messed up your final evaluation, but you didn’t believe in fairytales and in life working out the way you wanted it to. Not anymore. You had more important issues to deal with and more important questions to dwell on other than that big soulmate question even though everyone around you seemed to be buzzing in your soulmate-centric world. There were apps where you could upload your half-quotes and find which one seems matching, there were soulmate-based restaurants and selfie booths and movies and you name it. Once, you might have been interested in finding your soulmate, but after you had decided to become an idol and dating wasn’t allowed for trainees, you had tried your very best to hide your quote with those special sprays you could get your hands on.
You weren’t the only one who wanted to hide their quotes. Idols actually did so while performing live if they hadn’t yet found their soulmate, athletes did so and most teachers and professors did so too because they didn’t want others to see it. You couldn’t blame them. Soulmate quotes were highly personal, and those who didn’t want the whole world to see it and strangers gawking their eyes on what those words on their arms could mean tried to hide it, and there were creams and sprays and plasters and all kinds of things for such purposes. Even though you didn’t hide it anymore since your dreams of becoming an idol had shattered into pieces, you were reassured that you could always hide it if you wanted to.
“Hi!” A familiar male voice dragged you out of your thoughts, and you were lucky that you were currently sitting because you were sure that you would have stumbled backwards if you had been standing, you were so startled.
“Hi!” You averted your eyes to Dongheon who furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, but you just shrugged off his unsaid question. He wore a black long-sleeved shirt that was tucked into his high-waisted black jeans, a black belt and black boots, the whole look highlighting his physique. He looked more as if he was to attend a fashion week rather than a dance class with kids, but you wouldn’t comment on his outfit choice for the world. Maybe he had come from a recording and he had needed to dress like that.
“Are we continuing the choreography from last week?” Dongheon asked as he put down his sports bag beside you on the bench, fishing a water bottle out of it and taking a sip from it while he was waiting for you to answer.
“Yeah, it’s the same as the last two weeks, and if everything goes well, we’ll be done with it today. Then, we’ll review it next week and record it at the end of the class.”
“Do you always record them?” He quirked an eyebrow as if it had been that weird, but you nodded confidently nevertheless.
“The kids like to watch it back, and their parents love that they can see their kids dancing,” you explained to him with a smile, thinking of that group chat you shared with your students’ parents. You were lucky that they were all very supportive of their kids’ hobby, it warmed your heart to read their compliments and to hear about their feedback. In a way, it was a way for you to feel as if you had left an impact on their lives. Just as you had wanted to do so by being an idol; you wanted to help others, to cheer them up and to give something to them that would make their lives a bit better, a bit brighter. As an idol, it would have been your songs and your performances, and as a dance teacher, it was the choregraphies you created for the kids and the weekly classes you gave.
“Understandable,” he noted after a few moments of silence, and you were about to ask him why he had posed such a question, but one of your students who had just showed up interrupted you.
“Are you going to teach us today, too?” Minhyuk inquired with his big doe eyes as he looked at Dongheon who was much, much taller than him. Dongheon looked back at you for support as if he had wanted you to answer the question for him, but you just shrugged your shoulders. If he wanted to learn how to teach kids, he needed to learn how to interact with them.
“Yes, I will.”
“I don’t want tooooooo,” cooed the kid with a pout, and you had to sniffle a giggle because he was just so cute, yet Dongheon was just so startled. “You were so scary last time. I don’t want to learn from you,” Minhyuk went on, puffing his chest out as if he had been ready to fight. You wanted to applaud his bravery, but you were so curious about the other dance teacher’s reaction that you kept your reactions to yourself and watched their interaction instead.
Dongheon scratched the back of his neck out of nervousness, then ruffled his pitch-black locks. Once. Twice. Three times. It could be seen that he didn’t know how to react because his eyes were flickering from one side of the room to the other, and his hands were fidgeting with the material of his shirt. Minhyuk kept looking up at him as if he wanted to intimidate him, not the other way round, and you were ready to rise from your seat and interrupt them, trying not to bring Dongheon into such an uncomfortable scene during his second class, but he decided to handle the situation by himself.
“I’ll try not to be that scary today,” he promised a lot softer than usual, but Minhyuk couldn’t be bought with just that.
“You pinky promise?” He raised an eyebrow in question as he held out his pinkie, and you were almost certain that Dongheon wouldn’t give into his wish, but in the next second, he crouched down to be at eye-level with the kid and sealed the pinky promise with the little boy. Minhyuk boasted a boyish smile at that, and bounced back to the rest of the kids with newfound joy.
Dongheon stayed in that pose for a few seconds as if he couldn’t quite believe what had just happened, and when he straightened up and looked at you, your lips curled upwards in an encouraging way.
“That was impressive!” You complimented him and gave him a thumbs-up before he could try to ask you to forget about it or deny that he gave in because he had a softer side, he was just not good at demonstrating it. You didn’t even let him say anything, you got to your feet and walked to the middle of the practice room, starting the class.
This time, the structure of the class was a bit different than last time because you asked Dongheon to do the new moves beside you, so that the kids could familiarise themselves with him and maybe feel closer to him by seeing that he also made mistakes from time to time. Although it was rare, you reckoned that it was only fair that he could be seen as something other than immaculate, and he didn’t seem to mind either. Even though you could see his frustration rising whenever someone missed a beat or made an obvious mistake or started acting up (because they were restless kids after all, occasional tantrums were inevitable), you didn’t need to interfere as much as last time. He still had a long way to go, but at least now he had taken your advice from last time, and pointed out the students’ mistakes albeit a bit harshly sometimes.
After the class, as you were packing your stuff, you didn’t think that Dongheon would speak up even though you could feel his eyes on you. Yet, when you walked back to your bag with your laptop in hand, he broke the silence:
“I don’t know how you can be so patient with these kids,” he mumbled in awe, and you tried hard not to show how surprised yet thankful you were.
“You learn how to be patient when you wait for years to achieve your dream, only for it to be taken away from you in the last minute,” you blurted out absent-mindedly, but when you saw the confusion in his eyes, you realised what you had just said. Damn it. “Nevermind,” you added with a semi-awkward smile, hoping that he wouldn’t dwell too much on your words. You didn’t want to dump your sappy ex-trainee life onto him out of all people. You were sure that he wouldn’t care.
“Anyways, good job today. You’ll get the hang of it soon, I’m sure,” you remarked in your best supportive tone, and watched as his face turned a shade brighter. Oh, so he could feel flustered because of a compliment. What a rare sight.
“Thanks.” He bobbed his head before gathering his stuff and leaving the practice room with you by his side. You bid your goodbye to him at the entrance as you were heading two different ways, and maybe you had seen it wrong, but it was as if you could see an empathetic smile playing along his lips. As if he had understood you even without you telling him about your crushed dreams.
Sure enough, Dongheon did start to get the hang of it, he just needed to learn how to treat kids on top of being a dance teacher. Or well, rather before knowing how to be a dance teacher to kids. Because someone could be an excellent teacher and horrible with kids, yet someone could be amazing with kids, but wouldn’t make a good teacher. So the two needed to go hand in hand, and you hadn’t been born with your current skills either, you had also needed to learn how to be a dance teacher to kids after giving up on your idol dreams.
You had loved dancing, you had loved kids, so you had thought that it would be rather easy, but you had had to learn a lot in the beginning, and if it hadn’t been for your love for both children and dancing, maybe you had given it up from the start. However, you hadn’t wanted to let this opportunity go when you had had the chance to continue learning unlike the time you had been kicked out of that agency.
You always watched Dongheon interact with the kids with a fond smile, and you had to realise that once he had gotten over his initial discomfort and sulkiness, he was seemingly starting to enjoy himself beside the little ones. How couldn’t he when he acted like a big baby sometimes? You wouldn’t have believed your own eyes that he was the same person from your first dance class together if you hadn’t witnessed both sides of him, but maybe he had just not wanted to do this whole thing in the beginning, and it had kept him from being his true self.
He could be silly and childish around the kids, joking with them and giving in to join their little games or listen to their ramblings. They even started to interrogate him about his life (and his love life), and despite them desperately wanting to know about his soulmate quote, he kept it hidden, telling them that he might show it one day but not so soon. You could understand him since they had tried to play matchmakers when they had seen yours, too, and it’s not like anyone could blame him for wearing long-sleeved shirts because it was winter anyways.
Thanks to the kids though, you got to know that he was a choreographer at an entertainment company, and he taught soon-to-be debuting teenagers, thus he was here to learn how to teach them in a less strict way. Even though you tried to bury your resurfacing memories from your trainee days, they came back anyways, sending a wave of bittersweetness through your body. When Dongheon caught onto your shaken up state and worriedly asked if he had said something wrong, you merely shrugged it off. It was all in the past, you told yourself, and decided to start the class instead.
However, it wasn’t only you who showed a different side of themselves during your classes. It was around two months after your first class together, and you could feel his tenseness from the beginning of the lesson, but decided to not bother him if he didn’t want to tell you about the reason. Maybe he was having a bad day, that’s all. On the other hand, when he got more and more frustrated throughout the class because of the kids’ mistake, you couldn’t just sit idly.
“That’s wrong. Do it again!” He practically ordered Kangmin to do the moves in front of the others without music, and when he was still not satisfied, he put his hands on his hips, letting out a long sigh.
“Can’t you see that you’re doing it wrong? You’ll never become a professional dancer if you keep messing up like this.”
That was when you decided to interrupt him, standing between him and the kid before he would say something that would move the boy to tears.
“Dongheon! You can’t talk to a child like that,” you told him firmly, and it was the first time your voice had such an authoritative edge to it. Whenever he was being a bit too harsh, you tried to prompt him to change his attitude in a rather friendly, nudging way. However, this time, you couldn’t just let him be. It seemed that your usual teaching style wouldn’t be effective on him.
“Why not? Should I be kind when life’s only treating me unfairly?” Dongheon looked you straight into the eyes, his words dripping with hurt and pent-up fury. His gaze could burn a whole city down with its fierceness and power, but there was something very sorrowful, very bitter in it, and your heart sank as you kept looking at him.
You were about to open your mouth when he turned on his heel and left the practice room, the sound of the door shutting behind him echoing for a long time before you found your voice and carried on with the class, your mind wandering off from time to time, wondering where he could be and what he could be feeling.
Not knowing his contact and not feeling like you had the right to pry into his life, you hadn’t seen, nor had you talked to Dongheon again, but you kept thinking of the reason behind his outburst, and it killed you that you felt like you couldn’t do anything for him. You could feel that there was something going on because there was no way he would have gotten so angry at Kangmin all of a sudden, but at the same time, you weren’t close enough to talk about such things. You wished you could be there for him because even if you might not have been able to help, you could at least listen to him.
The next week, you were so lost in thought that you merely registered that someone was already in the practice room when you entered, and if it hadn’t been for him speaking up first, you might not have recognised him until you had walked further.
“Hi!” He greeted you with a neutral expression, but you could detect guilt hiding in the corner of his mahogany eyes which made you feel even more empathy towards him.
“Hi!” You reciprocated his greeting with a subtle smile, not sure how to act around him after last time. So you decided on putting your bag down on the bench beside him without saying a word, letting him decide if he wanted to say something or not.
And so he did.
“I’m sorry.”
As you felt the words hanging in the air, you could feel how difficult it was for him to get it out, but at the same time, you could feel that it was as sincere as an apology could be. So you followed your heart and sat down beside him, looking ahead of yourself.
“It’s okay. You’ve probably had your reason,” you reassured him because anyone could have something going on in their lives that might affect how they treat others. You merely hoped that if he could share the burden, he would be willing to do so, but before that, someone had to show that they cared. So you gave it a shot. “Want to talk about it? If it’s about dance, I’m an ex-idol trainee who has been kicked out of her company after the final evaluation, so maybe I can understand.”
You weren’t afraid to confess something like this now because you wanted him to know that he wasn’t alone with whatever he was feeling. And despite the clear surprise on his face that you could see in the front mirror, you had a feeling that he already had a feeling that your back story would be something like this. He might not have been extremely nosy, but he was observant enough, so you were sure that he could guess some parts about your past.
“It’s not that. Not just that.” He shook his head decisively, and let out an aghast sigh. You finally looked at him and not just his reflection, and from the way his shoulders slumped, you could see that he was trying to master up his courage, but didn’t know how. You didn’t want to push him either, so you sat there side by side, listening to the sound of the clock ticking on the wall.
You would have been more than happy with the silence because at least he was there, willing to show up and willing to apologise, but when he spoke up, you listened attentively, your heart sinking deeper and deeper as the monologue went on.
“After graduation, I got accepted at a dance academy in the US, but a week before I was supposed to leave, my mom got sick, and then they found a tumor. She needed surgery and a few months of recovery, and I’ve stayed with her, giving up on my dream. Since then, I’ve never even left the city because I’m afraid something might happen to her, and last week she got her monthly examination, and her results weren’t that promising.”
“And you were afraid that she might fall sick again,” you whispered, barely able to master those few words out after you had gotten to know such a personal part of his life. He had always seemed rather composed and passionate, someone who had been confident because he had never tasted failure. You couldn’t have been more wrong.
Dongheon nodded, his mahogany eyes bathing in the sea of uncertainty. You wished you could say something hopeful, but it wasn’t like his mother’s condition would suddenly get better if you prayed hard enough. You also wished you could feel confident enough to reach out and hold his hand to show that you were there for him, but you didn’t know how he would react to that despite that inward urge to share the burden and listen to whatever worries he had.
“It’s no use running tests now because the doctors say that it’s common to have worse results once in a while, but I guess I was worried history would repeat itself,” he mumbled loud enough for you to hear it yet not any louder. It was a confession only you should hear, no one else. It was your secret, the whispers of his heart and the tales of his present.
“I don’t blame you. I can’t even imagine what I would be feeling if I were in your shoes.” A cold shiver ran down your spine even just by thinking about. “You know you don’t have to come to class if you don’t feel well. Mentally or physically, it doesn’t matter.” you added gently, trying your best with an encouraging smile. Just because he was supposed to come to learn from you, you didn’t want him to feel pressured to be here each and every time until his boss would finally be satisfied with his improvement.
Dongheon shook his head, bitterness swallowing up his words as he continued.
“I’ve wanted to apologise to you and to that kid.”
“I’m sure he would understand.” You nodded fervently, knowing Kangmin well enough to assume that he would stay just as determined as before, if not more. That kid was one of the most dedicated dancers in his group.
“Thank you for telling me this,” you felt the need to add before any of your students would arrive, and when he finally looked at you and you exchanged a glance, there was a bit of a smile in the corner of his lips, and suddenly, that inward urge to be there for him elevated. You couldn’t pinpoint why, you didn’t know what was this sudden odd sensation going through your body, but you reciprocated his smile, and you looked away only when one of the kids arrived.
After you had talked about why Dongheon had suddenly left the class that time, you felt less cautious around him, and he also seemed a lot more loosened up around the kids. As expected, Kangmin didn’t hold a grudge against him, so Dongheon was good to go again, and you would have never taken it to heart that he had just rushed out of your class, especially after knowing the reason why. You felt like you could understand him a bit better, and you could feel his empathy, too. It was as if you could relate to what the other had gone through, and it was odd since you had never felt this way before. May it be because you had quite a special case with being dismissed from an entertainment company and finding your way to your current workplace and his dreams changing due to the circumstances, but that string that had kept on pulling you towards him had become more and more difficult to resist. Not to mention when he wanted to get to know you better.
“Why haven’t you applied for a different company?” Dongheon inquired the next time you met, posing you the question after the class had finished, and it was only you two left.
“I’ve spent my youth on training at that certain one. I was tired of life kicking into me,” you replied with a bitter smile, but you didn’t mind his question. You had a feeling that he would understand, and you wouldn’t need to elaborate further. You were right.
“Understandable.” He nodded firmly, and his serious state showed you that he really cared. Lately, you had had to realise that he was such a goofy, childish guy in general, his serious self resurfacing only when it was about something work-related which was dancing in your case, so you weren’t surprised that you could only see his most authentic sides when some time had passed by.
“Want to show me how you dance if you aren’t teaching kids?” Dongheon raised an eyebrow challengingly, dissolving the tension in the air with his question. You snickered, raising your eyebrows alongside his as if you were ready to fight him.
“Shouldn’t I be the one asking that? You’re a choreographer for idol trainees.”
“Well, if you are that curious…” He shrugged without hesitating a moment, but before he would get ready to dance, he turned to you and put his index-finger in the air.  “But you have to show me what you got afterwards,” he made you promise with a cheeky smile, and you rolled your eyes, but nodded nevertheless. You were actually curious how he would dance apart from your rather easy choreographies made for children, plus it really wouldn’t make any difference if you showed him what you had been working on instead of practicing only by yourself.
You couldn’t tell what exactly you had been expecting, but the guy didn’t disappoint. His moves were fluid, he was perfectly in control of his body, and he made the choreography look so effortless. You could still see behind the seemingly easily executed movements, see the many hours of hard work and the physical strength he needed to use to do certain moves such as pushing himself off the ground or sliding on the floor ever so quickly. Your lips parted in awe as you watched him dance because he was so immersed, it was as if dancing was his second skin, and you adored watching others dance who had the same passion as you did.
Since you didn’t know when he would stop and turn back to you, but the song went on because he probably didn’t finish the last touches on the choreography, he caught you staring with your mouth slightly agape. Even if you wouldn’t deny that you thought that he was amazing, he needed to rub it in your face.
“Not bad, huh?” Dongheon quirked an eyebrow teasingly, and that smirk in the corner of his lips made you roll your eyes. A second later, he let out a wholehearted laughter, and you let him enjoy this moment as he retreated to sit on the bench with you, reaching for his water bottle. That’s when you were ready to let him know about your opinion on what you had seen.
“That was impressive. You could have joined an idol group with those skills,” you pointed out frankly, but he shook his head after he had taken a sip from the water.
“Ah, I’ve never known how to sing or rap, and I didn’t want to be in the spotlight.
“To be honest, I’m rather thankful now that things turned out this way. I’m not sure I would have kept on enjoying being in the spotlight after debuting, so I can understand,” you let him know solemnly. Maybe you had been heartbroken over how you had needed to leave your agency, but now you were a firm believer that everything happened for a reason. Sometimes we can only see what a certain event or a milestone in our life indicates until some time passes by.
You sat in silence for a bit while he was trying to catch his breath, but he didn’t forget about your deal, so he prompted you to dance. You didn’t need to be told twice, you set the chosen song on repeat on your laptop, and walked to the centre of the practice room, sitting down and getting into position before the first beat of the song would be played. Then, you gave your all to the rather feminine choreography, focusing on your reflection in the mirror instead of Dongheon’s face, focusing on how you and your body felt while you were becoming one with the music. The moves were well-practiced and the transitions were smooth, so your hopes of telling a story with the choreography were high. Yet, due to the fact that you enjoyed it so much, it seemed like such a short time until you finished, and turned back to the guy, curious about his feedback.
Dongheon blinked a few times before he could form an opinion, and that was enough of an answer for you, so your lips had already curled upwards before he spoke up. He could scarcely be flustered, so you were rather content that you could make him lose his confidence for a bit while watching you dance.
“That was impressive, too,” he concluded after he had cleared his throat. You kept on your knowing smile as you sat back beside him, pulling up the sleeves of your sweater, the sudden rush of heat warming up your body enough to feel a bit suffocated in your clothes. You didn’t even think much of it until you caught Dongheon staring at your arm. To be precise, the inked half-quote on your arm.
“Oh yeah. My soulmate quote. It says ‘love is a war, but…’. I guess I may get to know once how it ends.” You straightened your arm, so he could see the quote properly. You had never really given the words much thought because there could be endless ways the sentence could end, so there was no use guessing.
On the other hand, Dongheon seemed a bit bewitched for a moment, yet you didn’t know why. Some people were rather sentimental about the soulmate quotes, so you assumed he was one of those too, and that’s why he looked so perplexed, but then he blurted out:
“A war worth fighting for.”
“What?” You furrowed your eyebrows in question, not knowing what his words could indicate. Was he trying to guess the ending of your soulmate quote?
“Love is a war, but a war worth fighting for,” he spoke up loud and clear, and you didn’t even have time to dwell on his words because you could feel a tingling sensation on your arm. It was as if an invisible force was hovering over it, but it didn’t hurt, it felt a bit ticklish instead. It wasn’t an entirely unfamiliar feeling, but you had felt this way only once before; when the half-quote had appeared on your arm on your 14th birthday just like it had done for everyone. Which could mean only one thing...
The moment you looked down on your arm, your quote was finished. After the comma, ‘but a war worth fighting for’ was written as if it had always been there. You blinked in confusion, looking up at the guy who held up his arm for you to show that he had the same - now - full quote engraved into his skin. He seemed just as bewildered as you, but knowing that he was your soulmate could explain why he had seemed to understand you like no one else, and why you had wanted to be there for him to share his burden. Sure, soulmates could be best friends, siblings or lovers, but whatever their relationship might be, they were called soulmates for a reason, and knowing that he was yours was both oddly satisfying and scary. You had toyed with the idea of meeting your soulmate one day, but you had never quite imagined it to go this way.
You were both speechless for quite a bit afterwards, but then he nudged your shoulder, and said:
“Hey! At least, it’s not that awkward that your jaw dropped upon seeing a guy dance because I’m your soulmate after all.”
“I’m not the one who needed to visibly gulp after seeing my dance,” you retorted as you nudged his shoulder back, and you caught him with that, you could see it in the way his eyes widened. However, in the next moment, his lips curled upwards and he burst into laughter. You followed his example, and you let yourself enjoy this rather joyful moment. With him. With your soulmate.
What a turn of events.
After getting to know that you two were soulmates, not much changed. Neither of you were firm believers of forcing this soulmate thing onto your relationship, you let things flow as they would either way. Though one thing that the realisation helped to facilitate was opening up to the other, talking about your dreams and past scars after practices because you knew that you were soulmates for a reason, so you could share such personal matters, and after last time, you were more certain than ever that he would be able to empathise with you.
You enjoyed getting to know Dongheon better because there were so many sides to him, and the initial sulky one was just one of them, and now that you knew why he had acted the way he had done so, you couldn’t even blame him. He was such a jokester sometimes, you didn’t even get all of his jokes, but as more time went by, you became accustomed to his cheekiness. Not to mention that he got better and better at teaching kids, and you had a feeling that it was because he was still a bit like a child at heart, he merely needed to put aside his sternness when teaching the little ones. It also helped that his mother was doing okay again, so he didn’t need to worry about her previous worrying results.
No wonder his higher-ups noticed the change in his way of teaching, and you were both told that he wouldn’t need to come to your classes anymore because his so-called training had seemed to be effective. On top of that, he became busy watching over the soon-to-be debuting boygroup’s practices, so he couldn’t come by every time, but he still made an effort to show up from time to time, and the kids welcomed him affectionately each and every time. You sometimes met outside of practice rooms too, mostly eating or having something to drink after both of you were finished with work for the day, and soon enough, you found it easier and easier to believe that he was actually your soulmate. You two were close friends for a while afterwards, and occasionally you helped each other out with choreographies for your classes or for your own pleasure. Sharing the same passion for dance brought you two even closer, and when it was just the two of you dancing in practice rooms, you felt like your heart would burst out of your ribcage each time his fingers ghosted along your skin, and each time you felt like you breathed the same air with only a few centimetres between you two.
Soulmates didn’t have to be lovers; they could be siblings, they could be best friends or anything similar, but you felt the string between you pulling you two closer and closer figuratively and literally. You caught him when he almost fell on his butt on the ice outside of the dance studio you worked at, he pulled you back when you stepped onto the ground when the lights turned red, you helped him get into a taxi and get inside his flat when he knocked himself out after a drinking night, and he accidentally held onto your hand when you were watching a horror movie together (or at least, he said that it was accidental). All of those moments might have been coincidental, but you wouldn’t have minded if they had been for real.
Dongheon must have felt the same because once when he pulled you with him when you were running to catch your bus, he didn’t let go of your hands when you sat down in a love-seat. You looked at your intertwined hands, and when he caught you staring, he merely shrugged his shoulders.
“Does it bother you? I think it’s rather comfortable,” he remarked with a subtle smile, casting you a curious glance nevertheless.
“It doesn’t bother me. I like it,” you agreed with heat flushing to your cheeks, and you had to look away before he could see the blossoms of burgundy tinting your rather pale skin. You sucked in a few deep breaths before turning back to him, but when you did so, he was closer than ever, and you almost bumped your head into his.
“Really? I like it, too,” he said in a rather cheeky tone, and his eyes were so mesmerizing, you just couldn’t bear yourself to look away, so you kept staring into those dark orbs, those hidden universes, and you wished you could capture this very moment; him being so close to you, your heart beating alongside his, and his breath fanning over your skin.
Sure, it might have been less intimate if you had just kissed him right then and there, and he might have felt the same way because he didn’t seal your lips tight, he merely let a boyish grin stretch over his lips that didn’t fade away even as your bus ride came to an end. He didn’t forget about your earlier confessions, so when he walked you home with his hands still in yours, he hovered over you gently and slowly, and kissed you while smiling to himself. He knew you wouldn’t push him away, he knew you would kiss him back, but what could you do? You were already weak for him.
But that was okay. He was your soulmate after all, and you were willing to fight by his side no matter what it would take to protect this love.

                      [[11:48 PM]] - Rainy Nights - Dongheon - [[1,101]]
Tumblr media
Dongheon woke to the sound of thunder rolling overhead and groggily reached over to your side of the bed, only to claw empty and still half-warm sheets where you used to lay beside him. He snapped out of his grogginess a little bit more quickly than normal, eyes straining through the darkness to see if he could make out your shape anywhere in the bedroom, to no avail.
The apartment was a little chilly when he threw the covers off himself. The coolness made his skin crawl and turned to place his feet on the equally cold wooden floorboards as he blindly reached into a closet for a cardigan, having a good idea about where you’d be. He barely clasped the buttons as he reached for the handle of the sliding glass door out to the balcony of your place—the rain was coming down calmly, but steadily, and you were so undisturbed by the sound of the door, you just continued to look out into the darkness.
Streetlamps below reflected the rain, allowing you to watch it as it poured down in sheets. Your knees were huddled up to your chest, long sleeves of Dongheon’s hoodie covering your hands as your arms wrapped across your legs in the large wicker chair. Dongheon smiled, and slid the glass door just as silently closed as he had opened it. He smiled at you, even if you couldn’t see it, and almost startled the life out of you when he reached forward to comb your hair back and away from your forehead, just so he could lean down over you just enough to press a soft kiss against your head.
His warm lips on your skin soothed you back to serenity as you settled back into your chair. He moved around you to sit in the chair that resided next to yours.
“You’re up late,” he told you.
You hummed in response. You usually were up if it was thundering and it wasn’t too late. Of course, he knew. You assumed this was the first place he looked after stirring about the bedroom. You reached out, after looking over him, with your sweater covered hand. He looked at the pout on your face and hummed contentedly as he reached for your hand, slithering his hand inside the opening of his hoodie sleeve to find yours, warm to the touch in the soft confines of his clothes.  Your pout faded, especially as he managed to finesse your hand out of the sleeve and drag it over to him far enough that he could kiss the back of it.
Dongheon didn’t mind the silence as the two of you sat on the balcony and watched the rain, watched the lightening flicker in the distance and listen to the thunder roll overhead. It was peaceful, the way the rain pattered on the street below, the sounds of the bustling city in the distance sounded too serene. His fingers gently played with yours, his attention mostly on that, and then on you, with little attention directed at the rain. He adored the sweet and soft smile on your face so much that it brought a small smile to his. The rain lasted a bit, and his light cardigan almost wasn’t enough to keep him sufficiently warm. So, he sat out there with you for a little bit longer before he stood.
“Come back in soon,” he suggested and leaned down, tilting your head up with a soft touch under your chin so he could place a soft kiss against your mouth. In that short amount of time, your hand that was previously holding his had knotted in the front of his cardigan, pulling it away to let the cold air rush down his front and he shivered a bit.
You pulled away just as you brushed the tip of your tongue against his bottom lip, earning a disgruntled noise that if you didn’t hear, you could see in his eyes when he pulled away far enough to look at you. Your hand pushed up his chest, wrapping around his neck and carding through his hair to bring his mouth back down to yours. That contented sigh you were so used to returned when your warm tongue pushed against his, kissing him deep. One of his hands gripped the arm of the wicker chair, the other cupping your chin like he could never get enough of you and in his eyes he couldn’t.
“You’re going to get in trouble,” he warned with a deep purr when you pulled away long enough to get a breather. You smiled against his lips, kissing him chastely.
“Maybe I want to be in trouble,” you whispered back, trailing your fingertips down the nape of his neck as he stifled another shiver.
His mouth didn’t wait to slant back against yours, hands itching for your legs to lift you out of that wicker chair to hook them against his hips. He didn’t even fumble with the door, as if he’d done it a million times, sliding it open and making sure he stepped high over the track and closed it behind him. Your hands were sliding against his skin under the collar of the cardigan, warm against your cool hands until he was laying you down against the bed.
Dongheon’s lips finally pulled away from yours, pressing sweet kisses against your chin and jaw and down the sliver of your neck he could reach, your legs tightening around him from time to time in anticipation before he reeled back to kiss against your cheeks and your nose and your forehead.
“Sleep, baby,” he whispered into your skin, a sly smile when he felt your body relax in defeat.
“You always do this,” you complained and let him tug the oversized hoodie off your torso to toss it to the ground before you were on your back again. It didn’t stop the way your legs wrapped around his middle, or the way you eagerly met his soft kisses as his fingertips tenderly caressed the curves of your cheeks.
“It’s passed midnight on a work night,” he told you and scooped you into him just to crawl onto the bed and place you softly in your spot. “And don’t think I’ll forget,” he continued and threw the covers up over your head before sinking into them next to you, only to take your hips and reel you up to press deep into your back, nuzzling his face in the crook of your neck as he tangled your legs together to fall back asleep.

Classmate Confession - Schoolboy!Dongheon
Warnings: none
Summary: The silent boy who found a place in your heart has turned out to be your secret admirer.
now playing . . . HOLD ON by KARD - Gunshot promos are over, Jseph is enlisting soon and I’m sad :((
Tumblr media
^Dongheon after he confesses :”)
School was hard. The long days and classes that seemed to never end were too much.
Luckily for you though, it seemed as though you had a secret admirer who was going out of their way to brighten your days.
Every morning before class, you would find something new on your desk. The first time, it was a drink from the vending machine that you loved. Whoever had left it there must have been quite observant, because you’d usually grab that drink from the vending machine before class after placing your books on your desk.
This person was one step ahead of you.
Then, there would be snacks next to the drink. Always something new, but always something you loved.
You didn’t even need to have breakfast anymore, because the snacks and drink were filling enough.
You got teased quite a bit by your friends who tried to guess who it was.
“So when you find the snacks, who’s in the room with you?” one of your friends asked during lunch time.
“Well, it’s usually Dongheon and his friend:. Minchan, Gyehyeon, Yongseung, Kangmin, Hoyoung, Yeonho. They’re always early anyway because they have dance practice in the morning.”
Your friends’ eyes were all wide and their jaws dropped. You prepared yourself to be nudged and prodded by them as they teased you.
That’s exactly what they did.
“It has to be one of them!”
“They probably just use their dance practice as an excuse!”
“Wait,” one of your friends said, putting their milk carton down on the table. “Isn’t Dongheon... your crush? WHAT IF IT’S HIM?”
All of your friends resumed their wild squealing and pushing. Your face was reddened at the thought... Dongheon, your long time crush leaving snacks for you in the mornings? No, it couldn’t be him.
He’d been your crush for many years now, ever since middle school started. Yet he seemed to never pay much attention to you. He sat right behind you in class and always had his head down, nose in a book.
He was the teacher’s pet and always tried his best, and you admired his determination. His friends hated how much he nagged them to study with him, but you found it cute. You secretly wished he would study with you just once... but the one time that you were in a group project with him, he barely spoke a word and never met your eyes.
“It couldn’t be Dongheon... you all know he doesn’t care for me very much,” you explained.
“What if it’s Kangmin? He’s always watching you and he’s so cute...” your friend said, their eyelashes fluttering.
You were never able to figure it out and were too scared to ask Dongheon or his friends, so you just kindly accepted the snacks every morning.
One morning, you entered class and your desk was empty. It made you feel a little sad. Had your admirer given up?
With a sigh, you dropped your books on your desk and left class for the vending machine. Someone was standing in front of it, so you patiently waited until they were done.
When they turned around, they were holding your favourite drink in their hand.
“Dongheon?”
The boy’s eyes widened and he looked down.
“[y/n]? Why are you here so early?” he asked, scratching the back of his neck. He chewed his lip as he waited for your response.
“I always come at this time...” you mumbled. “Do you like that drink too?”
“Oh, this? Ah, I wanted to try it once. Do you want it? There’s no more in the vending machine,” he said. You politely refused, deciding that you would get something else, but he insisted.
“I’ll just get something else, it’s fine!” he said after handing you the drink and scurrying away to the vending machine. He seemed to be acting so awkward and tense today...
As you left for the classroom, he called out your name.
“Actually, [y/n], can we talk for a second?” he asked, a small smile on his face.
“Sure,” you said, confused.
He walked through the hallway in search of what you assumed to be an empty classroom, and you grew a bit nervous.
“Can’t you just tell me here?” you asked him. He turned around, his eyes roaming around your face.
“I’m a little embarrassed... well, there’s no one in our class yet since my friends are still practicing for the dance team. Should we just go back there?”
You nodded and walked back with him.
As soon as you walked in, Dongheon closed the door behind him and faced you.
You were leaning against the wall and he stood in front of a cupboard by the door.
“[y/n], actually... you know the stuff on your desk that’s there every morning?” he looked down, hesitating.
“Actually... that was... that was me. I put them there.”
It took you a second to process what Dongheon was saying. So it really had been him this entire time?
“I like you, [y/n]. I know this is a lot all at once and you barely even know me, but-”
“I like you too, Dongheon,” you said, cutting off the nervous boy’s rambling.
“You do?” he asked, confused.
“Yes, and it’s been years.”
The too of you stood there silently for a few moments, unsure of what to do next.
The door swung open and Dongheon’s friends walked in.
“Why are they staring at each other like that?” Kangmin asked, innocently.
“Dongheon probably confessed, you dummy,” Minchan said, ruffling his friend’s hair.

Verivery as Fanfiction Tropes
I just randomly had the idea to do this, since I love Verivery and I feel like a lot of the members have very specific tropes that they fit into well. However, I’ll be honest and say I had a hard time with a few of them, as they could fit multiple different tropes. Anyways, I hope you enjoy and if you disagree, just remember its all for fun and only my opinion :)
Tumblr media
Dongheon - Brothers Best Friend
“You know,” You said out the window at the man who had been throwing pebbles at your window for almost 10 minutes.
It was late in the evening, everyone else in your house getting to sleep peacefully while you had to deal with the boy you’d had a crush on ever since your brother brought him to your house for the first time. You’ll never forget that day, as the memory of him smiling awkwardly at you and lingering around the kitchen when the boys would emerge from your brother’s room for a snack.
He only grew more bold since the; talking to you regularly to getting your social media to now coming to your house to meet with you in secret instead of seeing your brother.
“If my brother ever finds out about you coming to see me, he’ll be pissed.” you laughed playfully, leaning out on the window frame to get a better look at the man on the lawn.
Dongheon smiled up at your window, glad to finally get your attention after what seemed to him to be an eternity.
He couldn’t leave you alone. His best friend had warned him before, you were off limits. But from the first time he met you, he felt like he would have rather ditched your brother and spent time with you instead. But he settled for meeting you in the shroud of night and being secretive. It was the best of both worlds; keeping his friend and getting to see you too.
“That’s fine sweetheart,” He hummed, brushing his hair out of his face with a chuckle, “Nothing could keep me away from you, not even your brother.”
You felt your face heat up as you tried to contain the hearty laugh that was bubbling in your chest at Dongheon’s antics. He grinned in victory as he waved his hand for you to come down to meet him.
“If you’re that afraid of him finding out his best friend is sneaking around with his sister, why don’t I take you somewhere else? Somewhere where it’s less likely to wake your family up.” Dongheon suggested, jabbing his thumb behind him in the direction of his car. You rolled your eyes at him, leaning back inside the window.
“You will be the death of me, Lee Dongheon...” You sighed, shaking your head, stupid grin covering your face before you gave him one last look, “Let me grab a coat and I’ll be right down. Be quiet while you wait.”
Tumblr media
Hoyoung - Soulmates
It seemed everyone else in the world had met their soulmate except Hoyoung. At this point, he was sure the world would stay this dull grey scale forever. Maybe he didn’t have a soulmate? Maybe love just wasn’t in the cards for him in this lifetime.
“Dude, I’m telling you, this cafe is really cool!” Minchan stressed once again, walking down the pavement with Hoyoung trudging behind, “It’s really worth the far walk, I swear.”
“I’m sure it is,” Hoyoung hummed flatly, shoulders slouching slightly and arms falling at his sides.
They made it to the front of the cafe, a bright sign lit up to display the name. Hoyoung only assumed they would be coloured but alas, he couldn’t tell.
“Oh, sorry, let me hold that for you.” Minchan said politely, holding the door open for a person who was just trying to leave at the same time the two boys had arrived.
“Thank you!” You said with a bow, exiting the cafe and starting the trek home. As you passed the two boys, your hand accidentally brushed up against Hoyoung’s, creating a static shock in your fingers. You continued down the street, unaware of what was happening to the man you just touched by accident.
Hoyoung felt a sudden warm feeling bloom from the finger you touched that shot up his arm and sat deep in his chest. Looking back up at the sign, he could see the faintest hint of green start to paint the bright neon lights. He couldn’t believe his eyes; The colour spread to other things, like the redness of the brick wall of the cafe bleeding into his vision and the softness of the blue sky coming into focus. It was like he had actually seen the world for the very first time.
“You coming dude?” Minchan asked, snapping Hoyoung out of his daze. He whipped his head around to see you walking, head down looking at the grey cement under your feet, completely unaware.
“Hang on one minute...” He called to his friend, not taking his eyes off you before whispering, ”I think that’s my soulmate....”
“I’ll be right back!” He said frantically over his shoulder to his friend quickly before running to catch up with you and hopefully find out your name.

Minchan - Fake Dating
“Ughhh tell me again how I got roped into your antics again?” You groaned, crossing your arms over your chest. Minchan fixed his hair in the mirror one last time before turning to you and grinning.
“Because you love me.” He said in a teasing tone. You rolled your eyes, looking down at his outfit. The suit he had to wear for his cousin’s wedding fit him well, except the tie around his neck was loose and crooked.
“No, because you offered me something in return,” You huffed, walking over to him to help fix the tie around his neck, “Don’t forget, you owe me for this.” Minchan hummed, standing still as you undid the tie, smoothing it out a bit before beginning to tie it over again, much more neatly than how Minchan did it originally.
Suddenly, he snaked his hands around your waist, pulling you closer to him. You let out a surprised squeak, furrowing your eyebrows as you looked up at his face that was inches from yours. You hated to admit it, but being this close made your heart flutter intensely.
Before you could say anything, Minchan whispered under his breath just so you could hear, “My mom is watching us right now.”
Sure enough, you could see his not-so sneaky mother peek her head out from around the corner out of your peripheral. The reality of the situation crashed down at you and the flutter in your heart was replaced with a sudden sinking feeling in your stomach. You hated that you were somehow disappointed.
You glanced back at Minchan, who was still inches from your face and holding you tightly. You chuckled softly and shook your head.
“Let me finish your tie, dumbass.” you scoffed, focusing back on the tie in your hands as you tightened it around his neck, shifting it into place, “There you go. Much better.” Instead of letting you go, Minchan just pulled you even closer, a silly smirk on his face.
“let me kiss you right now, it’ll sell the act.” He suggested quietly, wiggling his eyebrows at you. You let out a nervous giggle, but nodded nonetheless.
He placed a quick peck on your lips before releasing you, and you somehow wished it wasn’t just a quick kiss to convince his family he had a date, but something he actually wanted to do. In that moment, you realized that desire existed and it made you feel suddenly very anxious for the rest of the wedding.
Oh gosh, you were in trouble.

Gyehyeon - Enemies To Lovers
The bottle spun to a stop on the carpet, pointing directly at the guy you were praying it didn’t land on. You look up at his stupid face to see it twist into one of annoyance before looking at you.
“Can I spin again?” You asked Yeonho, who was already trying to get you to stand by pulling you by the arm. You glanced back at Gyehyeon, who stands on his own but does so with his arms crossed and still annoyed expression on his features. You looked back at Yeonho, who was trying to stifle a grin, “I’ll go in there with anyone but him.”
“Too bad, it’s the rules.” He said in a sing-song voice while dragging you towards the closet and pushing you inside. Gyehyeon just scoffs and walks in, hands stuffed in his pockets.
The door clicks behind you both and you’re shrouded in darkness, not being able to see each other even though you are basically right against each other in the small space. You stood like that in silence for a moment before he groaned.
“Gosh, your breath smells.” He complained, causing you to frown, “Can’t you turn your head to the side? I can feel it on my neck.”
“Okay, you don’t have to be mean,” You spat back, turning your face into some of the coats hanging up in the closet, feeling anger bubble up in your chest from being insulted, “You act like your breath doesn’t smell like beer...”
“Hey, you’re just saying that because your mad. You’re always such a baby...” He grumbled. You laughed spitefully, turning back to face him as you let your annoyance out. You still couldn’t see him, but you could feel his body heat as you stood a few inches away.
“Don’t you ever just shut up? I feel like I always have to listen to your annoying voice.” You said, hands clenching into fists at your sides before sighing from irritation.
Gyehyeon suddenly rushed forward, slamming his hand against the wall near your face, caging you in between him and the wall. You gasped slightly, pressing your back against the wall as he leaned in close. You could feel his breath on your face.
“Want me to shut up?” He muttered in an acidic tone, his lips practically brushing against yours as he spoke, “Why don’t you make me?”
Tumblr media
Yeonho - Best Friends To Lovers
“Yeonho, I can’t do this! I wanna get off right now.” You cried out, jiggling the lap bar of the roller coaster you are both on.
It was Yeonho’s birthday and you took him to an amusement park to celebrate. He’d be your best friend for years now, meeting in school and bonding over a shared interest. That quickly grew into doing almost everything together after realizing you were like the same person and enjoying each other’s company a lot.
All day, you’d been having fun; going on rides, playing games and eating plenty of classic amusement park food. However, you’d been avoiding going on the big roller coaster because it made you scared... But Yeonho wanted to go so badly, so you agreed reluctantly.
Now that you were climbing the incline on the roller coaster, hearing the clicking of the track and seeing the ground get farther and farther away, you really wished you hadn’t agreed.
“You can’t get off now, it’s too late, silly.” He chuckled while turning to face you with a grin. You looked at him with terror in your expression and and he seemed to realize how scared you actually were.
“I want off.” You repeated, holding tightly onto the shoulder secure, and scrunching your eyes closed. The ride was getting to the peak and (if you had your eyes open) you’d be able to see the whole park from here.
“(Y/N), look at me,” Yeonho called to you calmly. You opened your eyes and looked at him; he looked beautiful with the setting sun casting an orange glow over his face as he held his hand out for you to hold.
“Hold my hand if it gets scary,” He offered, smiling sweetly at you. You quickly took his hand and interlaced your fingers with his, squeezing his hand tightly, “you’ll be okay, I promise. I’m here.”
You made it to the very peak, stopping for a moment to allow the suspense to build. You took a few short breaths, trying to stop yourself from crying. It was safe to say you were freaking out.
“Hey (Y/N)... I like you. Wanna go out on a date?” Yeonho suddenly asked. You looked at him, confused to see him with a gentle smile and no hint of humor in his expression.
“Seriously?” You asked and he nodded subtly. You felt like your brain was going numb when suddenly the coaster clicked, sending you down the the drop. You were so focused on Yeonho’s confession you barely had time to scream, clutching his hand tightly. Little did you know, that was his plan all along.
“I like you too, I like you too, I like you too!” You chanted, eyes screwed shut while terror filled screams bubbled up from your chest, “Let’s go out... gosh I’m gonna die!”

Yongseung - Arranged Marriage/Royalty Au
The ballroom sparkled as the many party guests danced around and mingled. For what was supposed to be the joyous event of announcing your engagement, you couldn’t care less.
As a young royal, you always knew you’d be married off for the means of diplomacy and not for love. But you also would have at least preferred to meet the man you were supposed to marry before you get engaged.
The Prince you were supposed to marry apparently was from the far north, so the travel time too longer than expected for him to arrive. It could take hours or even the next morning for your future husband-to-be to get here... So you currently stood awkwardly and bored against the wall as you watched the other guests pinning around to the music.
“Beautiful night, isn’t it?” A voice said from beside you. You turn to see an attractive young prince standing next to you. He looked out at the people dancing before turning to you and giving you a half smile and jokingly continuing, “Congratulations on your engagement.”
“Thanks.” You chuckled, shaking your head before looking back into the crowd, “Be sure to tell my future husband that too, if he even arrives tonight...”
“How would you like to dance while you wait for him?” The handsome stranger asked, holding out his hand for you to take, He gave you a sympathetic look, “This ball is pretty boring if you just stand here.”
“I’d love too,” You began with a grin, before letting it fade and sighing, “But I have to save my first dance of the engagement ball for my fiance. It’s tradition.” The stranger hummed, seemingly thinking before smiling to himself and bowing politely.
“I understand, Your highness.” The prince said simply, “But forgive me, I haven’t properly introduced myself.”
He grabbed your hand before placing a soft kiss on the back of it. You raised your eyebrows at the stranger, before his eyes met yours.
“My name is Yongseung, the prince of the Northern Kingdom. I think that makes me the man you’re getting married to in a few months..?” He said politely, making you freeze in place, “I also think that means it’s alright if we go dance now, correct?”
“My apologies, Your highness!” You gasped, bowing furiously as he let out a little chuckle, “Please, let us dance!”
Yongseung pulled you out to the center of the ballroom where he held you firmly by the waist and hand. The music began to pick up and you were soon spinning around the room like the rest of the guests.
“How was the trip?” You asked, face still hot from embarrassment, as you began to mumble, “I can’t believe I didn’t realize who you were...”
“Long trip, but not too bad,” He sighed simply, smirking at you with a teasing tone, “And to be fair, the only reason I could recognize you was because I asked one of the guards where you were. This is our first meeting, after all.”
There was a silence that washed over the two of you, as you danced along to the music. Your hand felt clammy in his, and you refused to look at your fiance in the eyes, as it was still a bit too awkward for you.
“Congratulations on the engagement.” You whispered, causing Yongseung to let out a hearty laugh. You smiled at your successful attempt to lighten the mood, and for the first time since this arrangement was suggested, you thought maybe it wouldn’t be so bad.

Kangmin - Boy Next Door/Unrequited Love
You clicked the doorbell of your neighbors house, fingers nervously tapping on the side of the Tupperware container in your hands. Much to your delight, it was Kangmin who opened the door, smile soft and bright like the summer sun.
You’d lived next door to his family ever since you were young. You’d been to their house for play-dates countess times, your family invited them to your house monthly for dinner; Kangmin’s mother even called you her second child.
“My mom made these this morning and thought you’d enjoy them!” You gestured to the container in your hands. They were filled with blueberry lemon muffins, which happened to be Kangmin’s favourite.
“Oh wow!” He exclaimed, taking the container and lifting it to his face to look through the clear plastic. He opened the door a bit wider, “Do you wanna come in and have one with me?”
“Sure.” You answered simply, feeling like your heart was going to beat out of your chest. You’d grown feelings for Kangmin years ago; it was impossible not to! He was sweet and cute and you already spent so much time together with you living next door.
You followed Kangmin into the kitchen where he placed the container on the table and went to fetch you and him an glass of iced tea. You sat at the table, opening the container and fishing out two muffins for the both of you.
“What’s new?” You asked as he sat down across from you. Kangmin peeled the wrapper off the muffin and set it down on the table gingerly.
“Not much, how about you?” He asked, taking a bite of the muffin and humming in delight, “These are great!”
“I’ll be sure to tell my mom you said so!” You giggled at his cute expression, taking a sip of the iced tea he brought, “And nothing’s really new here either... same old, same old.” Kangmin suddenly shot up in his chair, eyes wide in realization.
“Oh, there actually is something new!” He exclaimed, before chuckling to himself, “How could I almost forget?” You smiled at him, urging him to continue when his phone dinged with a notification. He looked at it and grinned bashfully.
“Perfect timing,” He said before looking back at you. Kangmin’s cheeks were a faint rosy colour and he looked a bit shy, which threw you off. What was it?
“I’m going on a date!” He cheered excitingly. He showed you the notification before going on a tangent about the girl he’d met recently and how they instantly clicked.
And in that moment you felt your heart shatter into a million pieces.

hopelessly devoted // lee dongheon
Tumblr media
👑 pairing:: lee dongheon x reader 👑 genre:: fluff 👑 summary:: overhearing the boy that you love talk to a girl about some girl that he fell in love with hurts. but overhearing this at a party makes it just five million times worse.  ——————————————————————————
“we were never dating in the first place so it shouldn’t even matter to you.” i looked up in the direction of the kitchen to overhear the girl who was now screaming at what dongheon had just said to her. over all this loud ass music and the multiple people dancing in front of us, we still managed to hear that one sentence. i looked at hoyoung trying not to burst into laughter. he shook his head sitting next to me before whispering in my ear that i should cut it out.
“who is this girl?” i laughed putting my head on his shoulder when kangmin walked past to sit on my lap stretching out to lay his head on hoyoung’s lap. hoyoung put his arm around my shoulder resting his hand on my arm.
“who’s heon hyung talking to?” he looked up with his puppy eyes at the two of us and we shrugged then i glanced back up to look at dongheon.
“some girl that’s been hanging with heon. she’s been clinging to him for the past few weeks.” yongseung came up behind us sticking his head in between hoyoung and my head. i bit my lip trying not to seem like i was pissed off, wait no was i being jealous?
“you being jealous there y/n?” hoyoung whispered in my ear and i glared at him before turning to slap him. i looked at minchan who was approaching the two in the kitchen but stopped before he was in view of either of the two.
“me? jealous? pft.” i rolled my eyes putting my hands down in my lap. when i glanced up again to look at heon, he turned his head around his shoulder straight at me. the way he smiled at me, made my whole world stop. through the people dancing i couldn’t look away. at all. i was definitely in love with him and every single one of the boys were catching on. i bit my lip when i kept eye contact with dongheon.
“what the hell was that look?” hoyoung teased me laughing, to then i scoffed rolling my eyes lifting kangmin’s legs off of mine to walk away from this annoying situation.
“i can’t take this anymore.” i said under my breath and as i was about to walk away, hoyoung grabbed my wrist turning me around pushing kangmin off of him. to which kangmin groaned then shot a glare at him before looking up at me. i shook my head pulling my wrist out of his hands. just as i walked past the kitchen, i heard the one sentence that made me stop.
“you fucking fell in love with a girl and expect me not to care? i thought we had a good thing going?” she scoffed to which i turned over my shoulder to look at minchan who was now wide eyed staring straight at me. i bit my lip and stood as still as possible. then i heard dongheon speak up after her constant talking.
“yes i fell in love with y/n. you and i were strictly on a no feelings relationship so i don’t know what the hell happened to you but i fell in love with someone else and when i get the chance to-” when i heard those first seven words, i shot my head up to look at minchan not believing what i had just heard. just as dongheon was about to finish his sentence i got pushed from behind, ice pouring down my back. i screamed before slapping my hand over my mouth because i was realizing now that i was in view of dongheon and this girl.
“y/n!” he ran towards me grabbing my wrist pulling me through the crowd of people, up the stairs and into his room, the door closing behind us. he pulled a hoodie out of his drawer as well as a towel from the bathroom and ran over to me.
“take off your shirt and dry off with this. are you okay?” he panted while looking me straight in the eye. he turned around after he got a nod from me and patted my head. i took my shirt off and dried off with the towel he gave me, thank god it was water. i grabbed his hoodie taking a deep breath smiling before pulling it over my head.
“i’m done changing.” i smiled again when he turned back around to face me. he walked up to me and i completely stopped breathing when he put both hands on my cheeks.
“you heard every word i said didn’t you?” his eyes darted from my eyes to my lips, then back down to my eyes. i nodded avoiding all eye contact.
“i-i tried not to. i won’t tell-” i started rambling because i was nervous. of course i was nervous. dongheon was inches away from my face and he was laughing. i couldn’t stop looking at him because my god was he good looking when he smiled.
“you won’t tell who? y/n did you even hear the name i said?” he scoffed laughing then put his arms around my waist. he pulled me towards him his chest up against mine.
“i mean i did but-but i just thought it was a mistake. there’s no way you would say my name.” i laughed nervously and dongheon tilted his head. he narrowed his eyes then licked his lips.
“what are you talking about y/n? i said your name. of course i said your name. you’re the girl i’m in love with.” he smiled rubbing the back of his neck before taking my hand into his.
“you’re what?” i gasped to which he laughed at then walked back over to me. he placed both of his hands in the crook of my neck before pulling me inches away from his face.
“hopelessly in love with you.”

Verivery reacts to being kissed in front of the other members!
A/N: I want to apologize to the anon who requested this for taking so long, sorry! I just like to take my time when it comes to reaction requests so they come out good ^^’ I hope the wait was worth it and that you like this one!
Tumblr media
Dongheon was a really responsible leader, everyone knew this.
The two of you didn’t get in trouble when your relationship became public, his company had been understanding and his fans had been more than welcoming, adoring every single public interaction they managed to see between the two of you.
He wasn’t a huge fan of letting them see though. Dongheon wanted your relationship to be intimate despite how famous he was, he wanted to keep your love private in order to keep the intimacy and to be an example for the other members. The fact that the company allowed him to have a girlfriend didn’t mean he could show off about it every single chance he got, that’s what he thought.
You tried to respect his decision but sometimes little mistakes would be done. For example, right now, as all of you were gathered in the kitchen cooking tonight’s dinner, you had unconciously leaned foward and pecked his lips. He had been shocked but couldn’t bring himself to scold you when he saw your cute little smile. Damn, you knew how to make him weak.
“I’m sorry, I was just...It just happened” You apologized chuckling, scratching the back part of your neck, noticing how your cheeks started to turn pink when the rest of the members started teasing the two of you without any mercy.
“It’s okay” He said with a small, shy smile. Chuckling when his members only got louder as soon as his face started turning red too “No need to apologize” Dongheon leaned in and gave you a quick kiss on the cheek before he hurried into the dining room to shut everybody up.
Tumblr media
Cuddled up on the couch as you watched some movies with the guys, you rested your head onto Hoyoung’s shoulder, bringing the blanket higher on your body to cover most of your bodies. You loved lazy days besides them, it was just so relaxing to do domestic things with your boyfriend and his friends that on their free days you always ended up spending more time in their dorm than in your own place.
“Are you cold?” He asked quietly, rubbing your side gently as he pulled you closer to him “Need another blanket?”
Hoyoung was just so sweet than you couldn’t hold the urge of kissing him back and before he could get shy and move away, you placed a small, short kiss onto his lips, giggling quietly since all the guys had been too focused on the movie to notice it.
“I’ll take that as a no” He muttered chuckling quietly, cheeks slightly pink as he pressed a small kiss to the side of your head before resting his against yours.
Tumblr media
“”I didn’t know you were here!”
You couldn’t help but smile when you saw your boyfriend walking out of his room, finding you in his living room, chatting with his friends. Dongheon had told you he was napping when you showed up so you decided to wait and let him rest instead of waking him up, they were all exhausted due to their upcoming comeback and you were nobody to steal some of his resting minutes from him.
“Hey babe” Minchan stood in front of you, leaning down to kiss your lips as you greeted him, a small smirk on his lips since he knew you were slightly shy about doing this kind of things in front of the other guys.
“EWWW!!” Some of the shouted, just teasing the two of you.
However, Minchan wasn’t having it and he only sat down on your lap, stealing chuckles from your lips already “Ew, what? Wanna see it again?” He asked teasing them back, puckering his lips to give you another kiss.
You played along and returned the kiss, laughing when the members just started screaming in disgust even louder.
Tumblr media
“Is that my hoodie?” Gyehyeon instantly ignored the conversation he was having with Minchan as soon as he saw you walk into the living room wearing his clothes. A shy smiles made it’s way up to your lips while you nodded at him, hands nervously fidgeting with the hem of the cloth.
“I was just feeling a little cold and I-”
Before you could keep explainning yourself, he leaned down and pressed a kiss against your lips, feeling a little shy since he wasn’t used to demostrate his affection when the members were still around.
All of them started cheering around you as soon as your lips met and you couldn’t help but laugh against Gyehyeon’s lips. However, your boyfriend, being the guy he was, soon pulled back and turned around to glare at them. The rest of the members shut up and ran away before he could hit them.
Tumblr media
“Hey! Didn’t know you were coming over today, didn’t you have to study?”
You shook your head, walking into the dorms as you got rid of your jacket “The exam’s date has been changed so I can study tomorrow instead. I thought about coming over since I knew you guys had the day off” Not seeing any of the members around, you leaned closer and gave him a quick peck, stealing a cute smile from him.
“EW! GET A ROOM!” Somebody shouted from the kitchen, making the two of you laugh. They always did this whenever the two of you were affectionate with the other.
“Ew! GeT a RoOm!” Yeonho shouted back, laughing as he pecked your lips again “You guys are just jealous that I have a girlfriend to kiss!”
Tumblr media
You knew he was shy and you also knew that if he could avoid doing any affectionate demostrations while the other members were around, he would avoid it. However, you hadn’t been able to hold back the urge to squish his cheeks and peck his lips when you had caught him doing some aegyo due for a punishment the guys had establish for a game they were playing.
All the guys started cheering loudly and even though you blushed, you ended up laughing, seeing they were only teasing the two of you.
“Shut up guys” Yongseung said quietly, quietly hiding his face against your neck, only making his friends get louder in order to tease him even more “Tell them to shut up” He muttered to you shyly, keeping his red face hidden behind your hair and against your soft neck.
Tumblr media
This wasn’t supposed to happen. You had only leaned in to kiss him just because you thought the two of you were alone but right in the exact moment your lips met Kangmin’s, the dorm’s door slammed opened and most of the members witnessed the moment.
To say the two of you were embarrased was a total understatement. Your faces got ridiculously red as they all laughed and teased him, he was the maknae, so he was obviously going to be teased to death for this.
“That’s what you two do when we’re not around?” Yeonho teased smirking, making you get even redder.
“Yah! Shut up hyung!” Kangmin shouted, pushing them all inside the dorm so they would leave you alone once again.

Dongheon x fem! Reader
Prom au! Non-idol
Warnings: cussing, drama, a bit of sexual harassment, some fluff
Word count: honestly not 100% sure but probably around 5k
I don't own the picture
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lights...
That is the first thing I noticed, there were so many hung from all over, they took midnight fairytale to another level.
Next was the bad music, my date and I were early so they were still trying to get the party going.
Speaking of prom dates, mine is a friend from class, Marius. We agreed to go as friends since his last girlfriend broke up with him a week before prom and I was never interested in going until my mom made me go. "Make some memories, you'll only have one senior prom!" She says.
"Y/n you look beautiful tonight." Marius interrupted my thoughts with a flirty look on his face.
"Thanks, you've only said that twice on the way here." I retort trying to remind him that this was just platonic.
"I know, but it should be said many times or you won't believe it."
I roll my eyes, "I don't think I need to be told many times to get the point, but thank you." I replied flatly.
Slowly people started filling in and the music got better little by little. I was in the crowd of people dancing, lost in the music when Marius grabbed me by the waist. He seemed to have drank the spiked punch. That little prank was done by Ben, the class clown, who was bragging about it to his friends.
Marius began to whisperin my ear, "Wow y/n, you look great. I'd love to-"
"Y/n! There you are I've been looking for you." My friend Julia ran up to us, "you know dongheon is waiting on the side lines for someone to dance with."
"Y/n is dancing with me though." Marius cut in.
"Oh I wanted to dance with you." Julia replied pushing me away towards dongheon. Remind me to thank her later.
I adjusted my blue silk gown and straightened up my hair as I weaved through the people, don't wanna look a wreck when I speak to him. I sat in the chair next to him, which surprised him seeing as he jumped and stared at me as if I had a horn growing out of my head.
"Uh hey, sorry if I scared you." I quickly said.
"No, no. I'm fine, I just didn't expect you to sit with me, and I was zoned out." He said with a chuckle.
"Eh, I thought that maybe I should sit down for a bit and you looked like you could use the company."
"Why aren't you with Marius, you are dating after all."
"What? Who said we were dating?"
"Marius said he broke up with Danny for you."
"I never agreed to date him he and I came as friends. I guess he took us coming together as us dating. I assure you I have no interest in him." I said defeated, I actually had a crush on dongheon, not that I'd tell him willingly now.
"Oh well, if thats the case, you might need a dance to take your mind off it." He says holding his hand out as a the song 'Bleeding Love' comes on.
We weave through the crowd and I wrap my arms around his neck as he lightly puts his hands on my waist. We danced through the song quietly talking to each other about how we ended up at prom in the first place.
When the song ended we went back to our table and talked for the next two hours. After that people started leaving to go to various after parties.
Oh no. I just spotted Marius and he doesn't look happy.
"Y/n how dare you embarrass me by dancing with this dork, you must be the biggest whore in the school." Marius bellowed, turning redder than a tomato.
"Don't talk to her like that... Why don't you tell everyone how you lied about dating y/n, huh." Dongheon yelled back standing in front of me to protect me.
Marius stood pale and gaping. The room had gone quiet watch the scene, even the dj wanted to get in on the drama. The only person making any sound was ben who was giggling and recording everything for snapchat. I don't doubt that everyone will know the truth by morning.
"Don't ever speak to me or about me again, I don't need a lying asshole in my life." I yelled, dragging dongheon out with me.
As we reached the night air I breathed heavily. It was better out here than in that stuffy, smelly, gym. I felt something grab my hand, it was dongheon.
"Hey, if you don't have a ride, I can take you home." He offered.
I nodded as we began walking to his car. Once we were inside we began talking about our interests and hobbies. My feelings grow more and more with every detail. When we parked outside my house he walked me to the door.
"Thank you for tonight. You made a bad situation wonderful. We should hang out more." I stated with a smile.
"Definitely, how about tomorrow I take you to a Cafe i like."
"Yea sounds good." I replied before we fell into a comfortable silence.
I'd just turned to go in when dongheon turned me around and quickly kissed me. It was the kind ok kiss that I thought only happened in dramas. It wasn't fireworks like people described but more like the kind of rush you get when you ride a roller coaster.
When he pulled away he smiled, waved, and went back to his car.
After I got out of my dress and took off my makeup, I fell backwards onto my bed and smiled at the ceiling. For the silly little crush grew into something more all while wrapped in silk and stars.
• Lee Dongheon - 24:00 •
“Happy Birthday,” Dongheon whispered as he wrapped his arms around your waist.
He rested his head on your shoulder and slowly rocked you back and forth. Your eyes were closed, making a wish, before opening them and blowing out the candles. Dongheon made a small humming noise and asked about your wish.
You turned around and kissed him softly.
“If I tell you, it won’t come true.”
**Thank you to those of you who wished me a Happy Birthday yesterday! Thank you for enjoying this blog and my little thoughts 💕
It's great you write VERIVERY they need more love. If you have the time, I would love to have some fluff with Kangmin crushing big time and it's just too cute for words
you weren’t necessarily popular, but you weren’t a loner either. you were just very well known. you often tutored kids and showed the new kids around school. that’s how you met kangmin,, he was very shy on his first day. he didn’t make much eye contact with you as you walked him to each class. he didn’t ask any questions which made you think he was able to maneuver around on his own. you two had all the same classes together so you would offer any help if need be. he actually didn’t know what was going on, he was kinda lost. but he was too afraid to talk to you because gosh did he think you were the most beautiful creation he’s ever laid eyes on. you asked your teachers if he was able to sit with you since you were the only person he knew. you asked your friends at your table if he could sit there so he wasn’t alone. you gave him the ins and outs when it came to lunch, telling him what’s the best thing to eat. he listened to what you said, again not speaking, just nodding his head. he didn’t speak at the lunch table, only when he was spoken to. he just shyly ate his food. you assumed it was nerves since it was his first day. you didn’t pressure him to talk and you checked in with him frequently,, but you noticed he was the same way after a week. after two weeks. after three weeks. he gave off a shy attitude so you just thought it would take some time for him to fully open up. he eventually started talking to your friends more than you. he was getting numbers from people and hanging out with them. but he was still sketchy with you. you were worried that you did something wrong or that he just didn’t like you. but what you didn’t know was that he was getting to know you through your friends. he wanted to tell you about this crush but he didn’t know how. so he got to know your likes and dislikes through those close to you,, you felt kinda down when you came into school and saw him talking and laughing with everyone but you. you thought he was super cute and you wanted to get to know him more. your heart kinda fluttered when you saw him. but it was obvious he didn’t feel the same way since he always treated you differently. you dragged yourself to your first class, a bit confused when you didn’t see kangmin. you saw him earlier but now he wasn’t there. maybe he even got his classes changed to avoid you. he trailed in a bit later and you had to hide the smile that wanted to adorn your face. he sat next to you and didn’t say anything so the smile disappeared immediately. once class ended, you headed to your locker. it was covered in cute things that you liked. flowers, lyrics, your favorite color. you were confused, but you just opened it anyway. on the inside it read ‘i like you’ and now you were even more confused. kangmin popped up behind your locker door with a bright smile and your favorite candy. you put two and two together and your smile came back. you asked why he’s been weird lately. he explained how much he liked you and how shy he gets around you so he’s been talking to your friends to get to know you. you noticed your friends behind him cheering you on. you playfully rolled your eyes, flashing a smile in their direction. you took the candy from kangmin and told him how much you like him too,,
