Resently, I really enjoyed playing The Remake of Mario vs DK, So here that I thought that I decided to be generous for @theshiningprincess and have Oswald the Lucky Rabbit giving her a Mini DK while Mickey got a Mini Mario.
My Headcanon Facts
1: In my Disney Headcanon, Mickey and Oswald are long time childhood friends to a different home before once reached adulthood when Mickey decided to travel to spread magic and joy to the world with new friends and a new world to make dimensional travels with magic. They still keep in contact with each other and sometimes visits one another.
2: In my Super Mario Rebirth Series Headcanon: If the Mini Mario and Friends Toy Company were the case, It could take place after Mario Sr/Jumpman and Cranky Kong finally went on good terms back at The Real Worlds New Donk City during Christmas. This would send the opportunity that Gill Koopa got an idea based on resent adventures of his friends and despite his old boss of the Koopa Empire. This would eventually lead to Gill Koopa inventions of the toys became a success and came the events of “Mini Mario and Friends Challenge arc” including Mara, Amatory, Wario, Waluigi, Daisy, Dixie Kong, WaPeach, Rara, Toadette along with Mario Sr and Cranky Kong, both younger and older. Gill would make more in the future. “Mario vs Donkey Kong Arc” would take place to but it would be Mara teams up with Esther and Lexie to defeat Scar Kong.

Gradius rebirth times played series#
Can’t wait to see what Rocktober’s all about! But damn if playing Doom wasn’t worth all that.Īnyway, here’s looking forward to more video game music from a man and crew who knows it well. Nowadays, I associate Sign of Evil with fear, despair, and defeatism, all elements that have carried with me into my current life. Having such an uncharacteristically dark ending set to THIS music shaped my malleable little mind, if not outright traumatized it. They were tough and I may have died more than once, but after killing them, you step off into a teleporter that takes you to a dark room where multiple demons outright murder you, and that’s how the first episode ends. The horrid roar they made when they first appeared chilled me at an age that was probably inappropriate for me to be playing Doom. It made me feel like I was about to face something horrible, and the stage featured two Barons of Hell as the boss, their very first apperaance. As a big fan of Doom, I’ll bring up “Sign of Evil,” the track for the final stage of the shareware episode, Knee-Deep in the Dead.Įvery track before this was either rocking or atmospheric, but this one is just plain dire. But I can give one with a reasonable experience behind it. It got me to thinking what my favorite game track is, and… there’s too many of those. You rarely get to hear it all at once in-game because of the random battles, but it’s a soaring, triumphant track that stirs your sense of adventure and rouses your excitement to explore the world and discover new things.īrett, congratulations on 100 episodes of appreciating the least appreciated element of games. The track I’m sharing is one of the World Map themes. The joy of playing the game for the first time back in Middle School, watching my brother play it after I pestered him into trying it, playing it along with my friend Luke and giving the characters our own Voice Overs. Listening to the track brings back many memories for me. It’s a track from the Dreamcast RPG: Skies of Arcadia – one of the first RPGs I ever played and still my favorite game of all time. I’d like to chime in with my own favorite Video Game Track. I love this show and share it with my friends every time you cover music I know they’ll like.
Gradius rebirth times played series#
I tried out the Ys series because of this show. “Creepy Crag” from Plok is now a mainstay in my music playlist. You’ve introduced me to so much excellent new music. There's a sampler already out if you wanna check it, it's really good: I'll actually be drumming on a couple of the tracks!Ĭongratulations on 100 episodes, Brett! I’ve listened to every one of them and enjoyed them all (even the Road Rash episode). Warfare on a Plain – Vandal Hearts II / Hiroshi TamawariĬhris: ya gotta upload that Wild Arms VHS you mentioned, I feel like I might've gotten a glimpse of that at a Babbage's when I was an elementary schooler and it made me go "oh wow, PlayStation's pretty cool!" Also, "Overworld" from TMNT1 NES was the first videogame tune I ever retained in memory as a kid, so that also holds a special place in my heart! The game's quality be damned.Īs for Mario All-Stars…honestly the Mario 2 & 3 remakes are okay, 1's is the one I take most issue with, and its remixed soundtrack :/Īlso, Brett, you're going to absolutely love the Chronicles of Time CT arrangement album that's coming out soon. Stickerbrush Symphony – Donkey Kong Country 2 / David Wiseĭark World – Zelda: A Link to the Past / Koji Kondo Starting the Journey ~Breath of Fire~ – Breath of Fire / Mari Yamaguchi In case anybody cares, here are my other "BEST" videogame tunes, via the God-God-God Tier VGM Playlist I made (that were already featured in previous eps):įight 2 – Final Fantasy IV / Nobuo Uematsu Re: Tim's "Reincarnated Soul" pick, I absolutely adore the remixed version in Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth on WiiWare: Great selections, not a single Final Fantasy or Mega Man title in there! :O Seriously nearly every song is great in that episode (and I even learned something new)
The ENTIRE Cavalcade of Sports Episode.
Megami Tensei 2 – Dawn of the Human Being.
Wrestlemania – Hulk Hogan theme (aka “finger-puppet-on-a-candy-stick” song).
Anyways, thanks for making this show possible and available for the following reasons (in no order): In many cases, these were songs that I was not exposed to in my childhood ( I’m 32 years old, and judging by Lasertime I had a similar childhood to Chris Antista). These songs are SOOOO good that I keep coming back to them, and in cases where the songs are hard to find I literally have to go back to the episode to hear them. What a great episode (still listening, haven’t finished, just got past the Wild Arms song! While it’s impossible for me to pick any one song as my favorite of all time, I *do* have some favorites that have aired on this show.

Wii U: From Me To You
I recently came into the possession of a Nintendo Wii U and I wanted to talk about the games I have been playing on it.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
This is the game I have been putting the most time in. I got through the first two major dungeons in the game. I like the puzzles, characters, and atmosphere but dislike the motion controls in combat and the inventory system. The real big test of how I feel about this game is whether or not I would jump straight to Wind Waker or Twilight Princess (#1 and #2 on the list of Wii U exclusive experience in 2021, the order of which is subject) before beating this game. While I have toyed with the idea, I at least want to dive in in to the third major area of the game before shelving the title. I do, however, dread the next Girahim fight...
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
A cute, fun title but I am going to need a lot more Mario before I need a different 2D platformer on this system.
Super Mario 3D World
I've played it before, but it's a great coop title. I probably won't play it alone though.
Super Mario Galaxy 2
An excellent collection of obstacle courses. I am nearly at the end of the first world, so not as far as I got last time I played but I am getting close. I will likely continue to play this as my go-to "pick up and play" title.
Metroid Prime Trilogy
Despite beating the whole Metroid series almost exactly a year ago, I will likely continue my trek through the Chozo Ruins. Metroid is a series with a lot of backtracking and potential for optimizing speed, so replaying the game almost just feels like picking up where you left off. As if I needed evidence that enough time has passed to warrant a replay, I got stuck on a stupidly easy "puzzle" early on that required the player to shoot a mushroom to reveal the hidden switch to open a door. I haven't played with motion controls before, but they work amazingly here. I especially look forward to playing Metroid Prime 3 with real motion controls, as intended.
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth
How neat that this is even on the Wii U! I have already played this game to death, but it is very novel to play on the Wii U. I beat my first and only run on the console thus far. Having the map on the gamepad is kind of neat.
Freedom Planet
I have this game on PC already but never gave it a fair shake. I have much more context after beating all the Sonic games since then! I found it a bit frustrating but I will have to give it another shot.
Wii Party U
It is just Mario Party with Miis, but that isn't so bad! A surprising amount of content to be had and lots of fun themed outfits for the Miis.
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse
Adorable art style, jury is still out on the gameplay. Further testing required.
Splatoon
This has been a ton of fun! I am surprised to see anyone still playing, but it is quite a lot like the sequel. I also want to play more of the campaign and maybe even complete the amiibo challenges to unlock the special outfit. I am impressed by how good it looks on the Wii U. The motion controls work really well too. Lots of fun (when I can actually get a match)
Game and Wario
Cute minigames, good uses of the gamepad. Hit or miss. I want to at least play all the games once.
Nintendoland
See above.
Star Fox Zero
Only completed the tutorial, but I am curious to play more and see if it ever "clicks" with me. I hear this is a real love or hate game.
NES Remix
I have already played the 3DS version but I love the concept and I want to see if I can unlock some of the exlcusive games.
Super Mario Brothers Advance 4: Super Mario Brothers 3
I only played a couple of the e-reader levels, but that is the whole reason I got this and I would like to explore them all because it fascinates me that Nintendo had the stupidity to make Mario content locked behind physical trading cards but then the genius to preserve them for all time in the Wii U Virtual Console release. I got frustrated and quit quickly but I plan on returning.

Wondering who was the Grayish Blond Woman was the Older Version of Classic Pauline? She was Mario Sr's/Jumpman's Wife and Super Mario Siblings Mom. This Pauline was Top Singer but serious PTSD from being Kidnapped by a Younger angry Cranky for the last 36 Years.
DK Sr/Cranky Kong escapes and broke lose as he makes a escape but not long after capturing Pauline. During her time being dragged higher and higher. This would evenly lead to her being afraid to this Kong who sees him as a monster but later found out the truth about his actions, but her fear remains. That is why Pauline took her experience with a new direction by TV, Book, Radio and Even the papers. Not to mention the Movie inspired by one of her fans.
About 36 Years later, Her PTSD seems to died down and much more due to her children disappearance but coming back together stating 4 years ago. After witnessing she encountered Donkey Kong, but this Donkey Kong is different, This DK has a different hair style, A Necktie that says "DK" and much more bravery and nice. Unlike his bad temper grandpa, he is more like his father who showed compassion who teamed up with Mario Sr before The Marios, Kongs including the Girls, The Koopa Family and Few of My Mario OCs are born. After Mario Sr and Cranky finally were on good terms, Pauline has found inner peace at last and becomes good, best pals with DK
Facts
1: The first panel is when a younger Donkey Kong Sr/Cranky Kong dragged Young Pauline at the top of the constitution at the first time, throwing barrels. She never seen such aggression and much more to highs being dragged against her will.
2: The Second Panel, Before The Mario Parents and Siblings head to New Donk City for Christmas with DK, Diddy, Dixie and Esther, they decide to head to the theater to watch a movie at the Mushroom Kingdom Theaters. This would shown that Pauline would start to show some sympathy to DK III a little.
3: This was shortly before Mario Sr and Cranky were on good terms and DK fights "Little Mac"

GET HYPE!
January 28th is my birthday, dubbed Meimiday several years ago by my friends (I think it was hojo who started it). For those years, I would spend all day watching streams from said friends playing games for my birthday entertainment. Five years ago, however, when asked what I’d like to see I kinda just went “Why don’t you just beat some games?” and so the festivities truly began. Most of us frequent the Backloggery, so it’s kinda easy to see why it has snowballed~

Generations of Video Game System: Defying the Way we Define Entertainment

Generations of Video Game System: Defying the Way we Define Entertainment
Entertainment takes its new form. With the development of technology and its integration to various aspects of our lives, traditional entertainment such as theatrical plays and cultural shows is replaced by so-called “electronic entertainment”. There you have various digital and animated films that you can watch on movie houses or on your home entertainment system, cable television system (CTS), and the video game system, which is popular not just to young and old gamers alike but also to game developers, merely because of the development of innovative technologies that they can use to improve existing game systems.
The video game system is intended for playing video games, though there are modern game systems that allows you to have an access over other forms of entertainment using such game systems (like watching DVD movies, listening to MP3 music files, or surfing the Internet). Thus, it is often referred to as “interactive entertainment computer” to distinguish the game system from a machine that is used for various functions (such as personal computer and arcade games).
The first generation of video game system started when Magnavox (an electronics company which manufactures televisions, radios, and gramophones or record players) released its first video game system, which is the Magnavox Odyssey designed by Ralph Baer. Odyssey’s popularity lasted until the release of Atari’s PONG video games. Magnavox realized that they cannot compete with the popularity of PONG games, thus in 1975 they created the Odyssey 100 video game system that will play Atari-produced PONG games.
The second generation of video game system came a year after the release of Odyssey 100. In 1976, Fairchild released the FVES (Fairchild Video Entertainment System), which made use of a programmable microprocessor so that a game cartridge can hold a single ROM chip to save microprocessor instructions. However, because of the “video game crash” in 1977, Fairchild abandoned the video game system industry. Magnavox and Atari stayed in the video game industry.
The rebirth of the video game system started when Atari released the popular arcade Space Invaders. The industry was suddenly revived, with many gamers made purchase of an Atari video game system just for Space Invaders. In other words, with the popularity of Space Invaders, Atari dominated the video game industry throughout the 80s.
Video game system’s third generation came into being after the release of Nintendo’s Famicon in 1983. It supported full color, high resolution, and tiled background gaming system. It was initially launched in Japan and it was later brought to the United States in the form of Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1985. And just like Atari’s Space Invaders, the release of Nintendo’s famous Super Mario Brothers was a big success, which completely revived the suffering video game system industry in the early months of 1983.
Sega intended to compete with Nintendo, but they failed to establish substantial market share. It was until 1988 when Sega released the Sega Genesis in Japan on October 29 of the same year and on September 1, 1989 in the United States and Europe territories. Two years later, Nintendo released the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1990.
Atari came back with their new video game system, which is the Jaguar and 3DO. Both systems could display more onscreen colors and the latter made use of a CD instead of game cartridges, making it more powerful compared to Genesis and SNES. Nintendo, on the other hand, opted to release new games such as Donkey Kong Country instead of producing new video game systems. Sega’s Vectorman and Virtua Racing followed suit. Several years later, Sony, Sega, and Nintendo released the fifth generation of video game systems (PlayStation, Saturn, and N64, respectively).
The sixth generation of game systems followed, involving Sega (Dreamcast, which was their last video game system and the first Internet-ready game system), Sony (PlayStation 2), Nintendo (Game Cube which is their first system to make use of game CDs), and the newcomer Microsoft (Xbox).
The latest generation of video game systems is now slowly entering the game industry. These are as follows:
• Microsoft’s Xbox, which was released on November 22, 2005; • Sony’s PlayStation 3, which is schedule to be released on November 11, 2006 (Japan), November 17 of the same year (North America), and March 2007 (Europe); and • Nintendo’s Wii, which is scheduled to be released on November 19, 2006 (North America), December 2 of the same year (Japan), December 7 (Australia), and December 8 (Europe).
The development of video game system does not end here. There will be future generations of game system being developed as of this moment, which will defy the way we define “entertainment”.

The Best of May 2018 in Videogames
Variety, quantity and above all quality! We closed the month of May with a handful of great video games that we have enjoyed greatly in recent weeks. Pillars of Eternity 2, DKC: Tropical Freeze, State of Decay 2 or Detroit are just some of the novelties we reviewed in Best of the Month.
You look back, analyze in detail the number of video games that have been released in the month of May, and it is impossible not to be amazed! There has been variety, quantity and above all, a lot of quality thanks to the launch of such outstanding titles as Detroit of PS4, State of Decay 2 of PC and Xbox One, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze of Nintendo Switch, or the role adventure Pillars of Eternity 2 on PC. And these are just a few of the many titles that have appeared during the month of May, in which we have also enjoyed the remastering of Dark Souls, or proposals as interesting as Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux for Nintendo 3DS, orMoonlighter from the Spanish studio Digital Sun. As if all this was not enough, a few days before the beginning of E3 2018, there have been major announcements such as the presentation, at last, of the new episodes of Battlefield and Call of Duty, as well as Rage 2 or Fallout 76 by part of Bethesda Softworks, or the promising Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! / Eevee! , which undoubtedly have warmed up the environment in the face of the imminent start of the most important video game fair in the world. Do you know a little? For having, there has even been a leak that has revealed Assassin's Creed: Odyssey.  TOP MAY NEW RELEASES Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Platforms: Switch By: Retro Studios Rating (9.0) No matter which console appears, DKC: Tropical Freeze remains one of the brightest platforms of recent years. On the occasion of his arrival at Nintendo Switch, we have no great news. A new mode, indicated for less skilled users, as well as slight improvements in visual and performance issues. However, it is a real must for those who have not yet played, due to its incredible playable balance, challenge, and variety of situations. A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia Platforms: PC By Creative Assembly Rating (7.5) The spin-offs of the Total War series seem like a good idea to build on, but if they want to live up to what the saga has achieved they also have plenty of space to improve. I have no problem with a game that condense the enormous dimensions and ambitions of the series, Shogun 2 did it fantastically well in 2011, but here I miss some of the things that added depth and fun to the franchise. I perceive A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia as a Creative Assembly attempt to bring its strategy in real time to other audiences and, although that is always good news, I expected a much better result from it. Dragon's Crown Pro Platform: PS4 By Vanillaware Rating (8.5) Unlike Odin Sphere with his Leifthrasir and Muramasa with his Rebirth, we did not find so many differences in Dragon's Crown Pro with respect to the original work, beyond an increase in resolution to 4K, his orchestrated soundtrack and the new translation of your texts into our language. For those who did not enjoy it, its essence of beat'em up with touches of RPG continues to stay fresh like the first day, promising a good experience for a game and a very deep one for those wanting to pass and review the game with all their characters and difficulty levels. Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Platforms: PC By Obsidian Rating (9.5) Obsidian has done it again. With the support of fans, the creators of Fallout: New Vegas come back to surprise with an extraordinary RPG that recovers the best essence of role classics like Baldur's Gate 2. Exciting in its action, with a spectacular combat system and wonderful setting in the scene, Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire immerses you in an epic pirate adventure that will take time to forget thanks to its powerful narrative. Once again, and there are a few! Obsidian signs a memorable work that is destined to become one of the great video games of 2018. Laser League Platforms: PC, PS4, XOne By roll7 Rating (8.0) Laser League is a great quick and fun proposal that, although it is not relegated exclusively to the multiplayer, it is much more enjoyed in company. Frenzied games, with a clear sports halo and focused on skill, reflexes and the mantra of "easy to play, difficult to master". Forgotten Anne Platforms: PC, PS4, XOne By Throughline Games Rating (8.5) It is likely that Forgotten Anne does not receive the commercial response she deserves. Not in vain is a game that is cooked slowly and whose challenge is rather scarce. However, if we go into their world we discover a fascinating story full of memorable characters and decisions that matter. An exciting start to a studio like Throughline Games and, probably, the best game to date of the Square Enix Collective label. Conan Exiles Platforms: PC, PS4, XOne By Funcom Rating (8.0) Funcom has managed to create a great adventure of survival that takes advantage of the fantastic and bloody literary universe of Conan the Bárbaro. Alone, but better accompanied by friends, the video game surprised by the epic of his action and the scale of some of his pitched battles. Whether or not you are fond of the genre, you will surely find a lot of fun in a Conan Exiles that guarantees a game for a while. Horizon Chase Turbo Platforms: PC, PS4 By Aquiris Rating (8.0) Horizon Chase Turbo is just what it wants to be: a tribute to the driving arcades of the 90's recreational saloons. It is achieved based on simple but perfect controls, a well-studied difficulty curve, and a very powerful duration if we consider the type of game we are talking about. There is a lot of repetition in the medium term, and he could have dared to raise more things, but as the heir of a golden age in the arcade genre, he will make you spend a few afternoons of sweet nostalgia by pressing the accelerator ... and your teeth. Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition Platforms: Switch By Omega Force Rating (7.5) Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition is a port with hardly any news, and therefore should only consider those who did not play on Wii and 3DS. Even in that case, they must consider that it is a musou, and as such, it is a repetitive game. But if you can ignore it, you are facing an interesting machacabotones, faithful to the Zelda license and very durable, which can be even more if you play in a local cooperative for two players, a very interesting option for the owners of Nintendo Switch. State of Decay 2 Platforms: XOne, PC By Undead Labs Rating (8.0) Although it is a very continuous sequel, maybe even too much, there is a lot of fun to get out of State of Decay 2. If we manage to overlook its asperities, which are not few, we have a game of very genuine survival and ability to offer many hours of entertainment and maximum tension and immersion. To get an award in a future State of Decay 3? To polish more the set, to give something of more depth to the combat and to obtain a cooperative that begins to materialize the potential that here limits itself to aim. Along the way, we will enjoy, and much, your proposal. Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux Platforms: 3DS By Atlus Rating (8.0) Strange Journey Redux is a very good dungeon crawler, challenging and with fun, direct and abundant combats, perfect for your portable factor. Add an interesting story and multiple ways that dazzled much of their community, and now new additions are added perfect to increase the number of hours of play and give an excuse to those who played it at the time. A perfect JRPG for the most hardcore players at Atlus and the Shin Megami Tensei brand. Detroit: Become Human Platforms: PS4 By Quantic Dream Rating (9.0) Detroit: Become Human is still a 100% Quantic Dream game, so it has all the mannerisms and tics of a David Cage work and will not dissuade those who accuse their releases of lack of interaction. However, it is difficult to find something as powerful in its genre as what it has achieved this time. The PS4 video game is formally fascinating and has a staging worthy of a movie, but I do not think that neglects at all an argument full of hard decisions to make, and that approaches difficult issues with seriousness and good work. In my opinion, the best game so far by the creators of Heavy Rain. Ancestors Legacy Platforms: PC By Destructive Creations Rating (8.0) The authors of the controversial Hatred stand victorious with their commitment to the strategy in real time, giving life to a fun video game, exciting in its action, which raises interesting tactical options. In front of Vikings, Anglo-Saxons, Germans or Slavs, in Ancestors: Legacy we will enjoy spectacular strategic battles in which, the most important thing is to get the most out of your troops. Do you accept the challenge? Whether alone or with its multiplayer mode, you will find here a game frankly recommended. Dark Souls: Remastered Platforms: PS4, XOne By: From Software Rating (8.0) Dark Souls Remastered is a version that updates one of the most important games of recent years. Its improvements in terms of resolution, frame rate, multiplayer and some playable details are especially appreciated for the console game, but not exempt from other failures by the too automatic implementation. Moonlighter Platforms: PC, PS4, XOne By Digital Sun Rating (8.5) Moonlighter is one of the best news for the indie scene, and the role gender of this year. An RPG of action with tints of the roguelike that contains ingredients of several video games, but that knows how to conjugate them to give us something with its own essence. It is difficult but rewarding, complex but at the same time easy to understand ... It is action and role of the old school with a sensation of brilliant progression and enormous addiction capacity that we are sure will satisfy the most adventurous players. Yoku's Island Express Platforms: PC, PS4, XOne, Switch By Digital Sun Rating (8.0) Villa Gorilla has signed a remarkable work developing a 2D development adventure where exploration and platforms combine sensationally with multiple elements linked to the world of pinball. A very original gameplay that, fortunately, has also been well captured. An entertaining and very showy title in general terms. Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon Platforms: PC, PS4, XOne, Switch, Vita By Inti-Creates Rating (8.5) Igarashi and Inti Create borrow the concept of Castlevania 3: Dracula's Curse and mix it with Castlevania's Julius mode: Dawn of Sorrow with a dash of Rondo of Blood and 8-bit graphics. Excellent platform video game with four protagonists, impressive final bosses and good taste when it comes to honoring one of the most beloved franchises of players around the world. An excellent advance for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night of unbeatable price-quality. Other featured releases City of Brass Rating (7.0) - PC, PS4, XOne AO International Tennis Rating (5.5) - PC PS4 and XOne Juicy Realm Rating (6.5) - PC Little Witch Academy: Chamber of Time Rating (6.5) - PS4, PC Destiny 2 - The Strategist Rating (7.5) - PC, XOne, PS4 Omensight Rating (7.5) - PC, XOne, PS4 Little Nightmares Rating (8.5) - Originally on PC, XOne and PS4, now on Switch Dillon's Dead-Heat Breakers Rating (7.5) - 3DS Dark Souls: Remastered Rating (7.0) - PC Sega Mega Drive Classics Rating (7.5) - PC, PS4, XOne Agony Rating (5.0) - PC, PS4, XOne Tennis World Tour Rating (6.5) - PC, PS4, XOne Smoke and Sacrifice Rating (7.0) - PC, Switch
