Lab Rats Characters as Dog Breeds
Adam: Labrador Retriever or Great Dane. He has the temperament of a Labrador with the size of a Dane.
Bree: Border Collie or Belgian Malinois. I considered a racing breed too but a Collie or Mal would fit her better because they’re a hyper working breed that want to be on the go all the time, they also tend to be pretty independent in their work.
Chase: Poodle, German Shepherd or Siberian Husky. This was a hard one as he has a lot of different qualities. These are some of the smartest breeds on the planet. The husky is an interesting one for Chase because the Husky is labelled as the most cat like out of all breeds and as we know, Chase is not a fan of dogs.
Leo: Doberman. Intelligent, obedient, loyal, brave, energetic. All the qualities I love about Leo that he shares with this breed. Dobes are also pretty goofy. Very playful and funny but definitely capable of murder if needed. Just like our sweetie Leo.
Mr Davenport: Poodle, Bichon Frisé or Chihuahua. Bro is a little b!tch. That’s my only reasoning.
Douglas: he would be a mutt. He shares a lot of different qualities. A good, classic shelter mutt that everyone loves with a brilliant temperament considering what he went through.
Tasha: Dachshund. Don’t come for me for this, I just think she gives off dachshund vibes. She’s funny, playful and loyal.
Eddie: he’s the most annoying little dog you will meet in the park. Yaps at everything it walks past and the owners think it’s funny. Chihuahua, Yorkshire Terrier, Pomeranian, Shih Tzu. Or he is a cocker poo that the owners think is a purebred. (Sorry, I have just had horrible encounters with these types of dog owners)
Lmk if you want any more of this. I could do the EF members if you want more.

A Guide on Cocker Spaniels for New Puppy Parents
Tumblr media
Are you thinking about becoming a parent to a puppy? While looking into the different purebred puppies for sale, you would most definitely have come across cocker spaniels. An incredibly special breed, they make people fall head-over-heels in love with them with their floppy ears and adorable eyes.
Well, if you have decided to adopt a cocker spaniel puppy, you need to look beyond the gorgeous looks and into their incredible personality. Don’t know what to expect? Well, here’s a list.
Loyal Companions
When it comes to being a loyal companion, these puppies are unbeatable. They love the company of their humans and are the happiest right by your side. Whether cuddling on the bed or following you around as you take care of your chores, they want to be right where you are. Whether you love lounging at home or going out on an exciting adventure, these pups will be right beside you at every turn.
Social And Friendly
Cocker Spaniels love attention. They quickly become friends with your kids, fur babies or any guest you host. Their friendly nature makes them great family dogs, making them a great fit for busy households. Owing to this playful nature, they love regular interaction and playtime, ensuring you feel joyous whenever you are with them.
Quick Learners
These adorable are the definition of beauty with brains. They are quick learners, making it a fun experience to train them. However, this intelligence results in increased curiosity, so to keep them happy, provide them with enough mental stimulation. Introduce new commands, tricks or puzzle toys to keep them engaged. This smartness also makes them adaptable, ensuring they easily adjust to new environments or routines, making them perfect companions in any setting.

Badi Assad
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
第一張專輯《Dançados Tons》    1987年,年輕僅只有17歲的 Badi Assad 被評為《Best Brazilian Guitarist of the International Villa Lobos Festival》的美譽。 1998年7月, Badi Assad 在歐洲最著名的夏季節日中與 Cassandra Wilson、Joe Cocker、Maria Joao 和 Brazilians Chico Cesar、Marisa Monte 和 Gilberto Gil 等藝術家同台演出,單曲《Waves》在西班牙連續幾個星期內排名前十位,更被列入了由 Michael Douglas、Kirk Douglas 主演的《It Runs in the Family》當中的配樂。 七月, Badi Assad 前往意大利參加《Venice Biennale of Dance》的演出,與來自《Bale of Theater Castro Alves》的《The acclaimed dance company》進行現場表演。 憑藉這張專輯,她獲得了《Best Composer of The Year (APCA/BR) 》Rolling並獲《 Stones Magazine》選為 《The Brazilian guitar masters of history》。    Badi Assad 已經與 Bob McFerrin、Yo-Yo-Ma、Sarah McLaughlin、Seu Jorge 等藝術家合作,已經在一些最負盛名的國際節日,如《North Sea Jazz Festival’ (NE)》《Brosella Folk & Jazz Festival’ (BE)》《Stimmen Festival’ (CH) 》《 theaters like ‘Paris Opera (FR)》《Palais de Beaux- Art (BE)》《Metropolitan Museum (NY)》等等演出,  她也代表巴西在著名的美國節日《Farm Aid》和《Lilith Fair’/US》中演出,每次在她的音樂會和專輯內,Badi Assad 絕對有創新和不尋常的演出,每一次都會表達出新的聲音和概念,據《The Los Angeles Times》報導:Badi Assad 把結他獨奏重新定義,且帶有啟示性、輝煌地展示創新,那超乎想像力和技巧,已經把觀眾帶入忘我境界了。 資料來源:http://badiassad.com http://guitar-city.blogspot.hk/2008/08/badi-assad.html https://www.discogs.com/artist/326913-Badi-Assad https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Badi_Assad Assad Brothers : https://assadbrothers.com U2 : http://www.u2.com/index/home Bjork : http://bjork.com Badi Assad Link : http://badiassad.com https://www.facebook.com/badiassadhttps://www.youtube.com/user/canalbadiassadhttps://www.instagram.com/badiassad/ https://soundcloud.com/badiassad #guitar #brazil #Latin #singer #artist #world music #classical music

The best songs of the 1970s
“What started out as a joke has turned into a disaster!” - Stu Nahan, Rocky IV
So my employment has me in my car a lot, which means I’m listening to the radio a lot. If I’m not listening to a podcast or baseball game through my phone I also have SiriusXM, which of course has a plethora of musical options. I gravitate to the 70s and 80s channels because, well, of course I do.
Something else about me you may or may not know is that I love ranking things. I have a Note on my phone I’m regularly accessing that is nothing but different types of rankings.
Thus, you can imagine my excitement when the 70s on 7 station announced a listener-voted Top 700 Songs of the 70s countdown over Labor Day weekend. It was a fun listen. They went through it twice over the four day weekend, and I was laboring much so I heard much.
It prompted me to think: What are my top seventy songs of the 70s? Surely I wasn’t going to come up with a top 700. After all, some in that list were real stinkers. But seventy? No problem. And indeed, it wasn’t hard to come up with that many songs. The hard part was narrowing it down. And once I did, there were still so many songs on my list I had enough for more lists, so I expanded it to 140, then 210, and... well...
I’m about to give you the authoritative list of the 350 best songs of the 1970s. I originally put out a Top 70 list on Facebook a few weeks ago. Much that of that list remains the same, with a few changes. But now there is much more. I’ve divided these into five “volumes” of seventy songs. They are my picks, but I welcome your feedback, because what’s a good set of rankings without debate and discussion.

5 Companies with a Surprising Military Past
Tumblr media
As Memorial Day draws near, we remember those that gave their lives for our freedom. Our nation has been involved in many wars throughout its history, and often, our victory has been aided by the innovation of American businesses. Read on to discover five companies with a unique, military heritage.
Ray-Ban
Tumblr media
Ray-Ban Aviators are a timeless summer accessory that radiates style, but did you know that these globally-renowned sunglasses were originally developed to assist fighter pilots? The U.S. Army Air Corps Lieutenant General asked Bausch & Lomb to create frames that would decrease the frequent headaches and bouts of nausea affecting pilots who fly at high altitudes. Bausch & Lomb created the original prototype in 1936, which was equipped with green, antiglare lenses. During World War II, General Douglas MacArthur was caught on camera wearing Ray-Bans as he landed on a beach in the Philippines; this drove the product to instant popularity. Later, Bausch and Lomb paid tribute to MacArthur by dedicating an entire line of the brand to him.
Duct-Tape
Tumblr media
What is the one product that can fix anything? Duct Tape is one of the most versatile goods on the market. Comedians like Jeff Foxworthy like to joke about its common household uses, but the sentiment is not far from reality. During World War II, Duct Tape was used to repair everything from vehicles and ammunition to weapons and tools. Incredibly, Duct tape was the brain child of a concerned military mom. In 1943, Vesta Stoudt, the mother of two U.S. Navy sailors, wrote a letter to President Roosevelt suggesting the use of adhesive fabric tape to secure boxes of bullets. Johnson & Johnson followed her advice and created the first version of Duct Tape. Soldiers nicknamed the product Duck Tape because of its duck-cloth backing. Today, it’s valued by the armed forces, professionals, and consumers alike.
Sperry
Tumblr media
Sperry Shoes were invented by Paul A. Sperry, a Navy veteran. Sperry joined the Navy Reserve in 1917 and served for one year. Following his military stint, Sperry spent much of his free time sailing recreationally. In 1934, while captaining his boat, the Sirocco, Sperry slipped and fell overboard. Sperry’s past navy experience along with his accidental fall gave him the idea of developing the first non-slip boating shoes; a year later, the brand Sperry was founded. When developing a prototype, Sperry was inspired by his cocker spaniel, Prince, whose footpads protected him from slipping on wet surfaces. This realization helped Sperry design the Top-Sider, the original deck shoes. During World War II, the United States War Department partnered with Sperry to manufacture Top-Siders for its sailors. Later, it became the official footwear of the United States Naval Academy’s casual uniform.
Fed-Ex
Tumblr media
In 1965, while attending Yale University, Fred Smith wrote a term paper on the logistical problems that arise when IT companies try to send urgent shipments. After graduation, Smith was recruited as a United States Marine Corps Officer. While serving two tours in Vietnam, he observed the logistical efficiencies of the military. It should also be noted that he exemplified bravery in battle and earned a Bronze Star, Silver Star, and two Purple Hearts. In 1971, after leaving the military, Smith bought a majority stake in the company Arkansas Aviation Sales. While there, he witnessed the difficulties of delivering packages within a timeframe of one to two days. From these challenges arose the idea behind Federal Express. The word Federal was used in the name to symbolize patriotic unity toward a nationwide economic movement.
General Mills
Tumblr media
General Mills, known for creating easy family meals, was crucial during the dark days of the Great Depression and World War II. Bisquick mixes helped to feed hungry families amidst food rationing, while Kix and Cheerios became some of the most affordable products fortified with Vitamin D. But, as the war raged on, General Mills found itself evolving to help the effort in new ways.
After the attack on Pearl Harbor, General Mill’s flour milling facility became a war factory that produced weapons so covert, they required protection from armed guards. One of the most notable inventions created there was the jitterbug torpedo. The torpedo was designed to intentionally miss an enemy sea vessel, tricking those onboard to believe they were out of danger. Then, the torpedo would adjust itself and hit the target. This innovation excelled our navy military efforts.

Tips for Travelling with Your Cocker Spaniel
Tumblr media
Being a pet parent can be a fulfilling but challenging experience. How? Well, pets are just like kids, and when you are travelling with kids, you need to be extra careful and plan differently than what you do with adults. Every dog breed is different, and if you have a cocker spaniel or are thinking about getting a cocker spaniel for sale in Birmingham, preparing for travel in advance is essential if you want to do it with your dog. Need tips? To kick things off, here are some pet parent hacks for travelling with your fur pal.
The Preparatory Stage
In the very first stage, you need to take care of various things, ranging from the veterinary check-up to packing essentials. Ensure your Cocker spaniel is up-to-date on vaccinations and in good health. Also, discuss your travel plans with your vet. You can get essential health certificates if you are travelling by air or crossing international borders, along with answers and advice on your travel-specific concerns, such as motion sickness and anxiety.
Don’t forget to prepare a travel kit that includes your dog’s favourite food, treats, toys, bedding, and grooming supplies, along with a first-aid box. Getting a sturdy leash and collar with updated identification tags is crucial, as is a recent photograph of your pet, in case they get lost. Also, introduce your Cocker spaniel to the travel carrier or crate well in advance. Make it a positive experience by placing treats and familiar items inside so they feel comfortable during the travel.
The Transportation Stage
This stage is the same for all purebred puppies for sale. Secure your Cocker Spaniel with a well-ventilated crate or pet seat belt. Make regular stops for exercise, bathroom breaks, and hydration. Never leave your dog alone in the car, especially in hot weather. For air travel, check the airline’s pet policy, book a direct flight if possible, and use an airline-approved carrier labelled with your contact information and “Live Animal” stickers. Arrive early for check-in with all necessary documents.

On this date in music history. I say music because there are many many non rock types today, in addition to it being Cher’s birthday, and Joe Cockers birthday…
May 20th

Three of the Silver Beetles adopted stage names: Paul McCartney became Paul Ramon, George Harrison was Carl Harrison, and Stuart Sutcliffe became Stuart de Stael.
1966 - Bob Dylan and The Band
Bob Dylan and The Band played at the ABC Theatre in Edinburgh, Scotland. Some members of the audience were unhappy with Dylan ‘going electric’, and attempted to overpower the band by playing their own harmonicas.
1967 - Kenny Everett
The Beatles new album Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band had a special preview on the Kenny Everett BBC Light program, 'Where It's At', playing every track from the album, (except 'A Day In The Life' which the BBC had banned saying it could promote drug taking).

The Young Rascals started a two week run at No.1 on the US singles chart with 'Groovin', also a No.8 hit in the UK. The group named themselves after a US comedy TV show. 'Groovin' was also covered by Booker T. & the M.G.'s, Gladys Knight & the Pips and Marvin Gaye.
1968 - David Bowie

The band were under pressure to finish sessions for their second album so they could release it in time for the Autumn market.
1969 - Peter Cetera
While watching a baseball game in Dodger Stadium, Los Angeles, Peter Cetera of Chicago was set upon by four Marines (because they didn't like the length of his hair). They broke his jaw, resulting in the singer spending two days in intensive care. Well if that ain’t a "sempor Fi", I dunno what is…

Even though Foo Fighters are an American band, the word 'Colour' in the album title is always spelled with the British spelling. This was a nod to producer Gil Norton, who is British.
1997 - U2
