I finally stand up walking to the door excepting to see a big Amazon box but instead I find a suitcase.

"Please tell me there is not a killer clown in the suitcase."

"No, but I will need your help taking it up your stairs." I look up from the suitcase hearing my phone echo her voice seeing Dove walk around the corner of my door with a big smile on her face.

"SURPRISE! Happy New Year, Happy birthday, and most of all happy best friend anniversary." She comes up and engulfs me in her arms with all of the love I've been craving.

"You are not hugging me right now I definitely fell asleep or I'm hallucinating." Should I call my mom or take my temperature first?

"Y/N what's really wrong." I sigh as she carefully rubs my back. I love when she just holds me it always made me feel safe I used to feel guilty for feeling that way with her instead of Chris but now I don't have to worry about what he thinks.

"Let's get you killer clown suitcase in before we talk about that." Trying to lighten the mood I smile and take her hand that's not grasping the suitcase.

"I'm going to kill him!" Dove says pacing in front of my coach.

"I mean who does he think he is?!" Continuing her rant.

"Dove sit down please before you have a heart attack." Finally getting her to sit down again I pull her towards me. When she's finally stuck in my hug I rub her back hearing her sigh out her own frustration and snuggle deeper into me I decide to continue.

"We weren't happy and if Nancy has something I don't offer then he can be with her as long as I'm not wasting my time trying to fix something too far gone and I'd much rather spend my time with you." I watch as she moves out of the hug to turn around and sit between my legs.

"He made the biggest mistake in his life today and I hope he doesn't realize that until he's on his death bed cold and alone." She says it with a straight face meaning she's dead serious so try my best to hold in my laugh but I can only hold it in for a few seconds before I'm bursting out laughing. When I start to catch my breath I look back at her face to see her smiling at me with the biggest grin.

"I love you," I say while I look at her I can see everything I have ever wanted in her with one smile.

"I love you too." She answers biting her lip. I close my eyes to relish in all her love and that's when I feel her hands on my cheeks. I slowly open my eyes as she leans.

"I could be a better boyfriend than him." She whispers and before I know it she kisses me.

"Shit! No no no'' There goes another mini mason jar that I’ve shattered. Grabbing the broom and dustpan I try to sweep without stepping on any of the shards. Hearing the door to our room close I know she’s heard before she even calls out.

"Yeah... everything's fine." I sigh, as I throw the glass away. Looking around for any lost pieces. “Oww,” But clearly I didn’t do a very good job because I felt it before I saw it. 

“Oh love, sit down let me see.” As Dove helps me walk over to the stool pulled out next to the island.“Well, it’s not very deep, I'll just grab the disinfectant” She says, turning around and heading towards the bathroom. “Fuck!” Looking down I wince as I see another of the asshole shards embedded in Dove’s foot. Reaching out I pull out the other stool. “Ok how about we clean up and get out of this awful kitchen.” I breathe out a sigh at the wonderful idea.

“Yeah, how about we just settle for takeout,” I utter thinking about the misfortune of the last few minutes.

Taking her hand in mine I squeeze it for reinsurance knowing the time she’s speaking of. “ When where um I don’t want to say fighting...more like we weren’t communicating and you went to go visit Flo for a few days. At the time I really thought it was over but you said you’d come back.” She takes a deep breath. “ I didn’t believe you but then here you were two days later and we just talked, figured our shit out.” Looking into her eye’s I saw them glaze over with unshed tears. Watching as one of them gets from her I reach up and wipe it away. Knowing she needs to finish I don’t respond. “ I felt like saying I love you and making up wasn’t enough for me so I wrote this for you.” Clicking the play button the audio enters the room and my lovely girlfriend begins to sing.

She pauses the audio and stops singing. “ That’s most of it I kind of just repeat myself for the rest though.” Turning around in the bed I set Peanut Butter down on the floor. Looking back at Dove the first thing I do feels like the most natural thing in my existence. I lean forward grasping her cheeks and pulling her into a kiss that I hope conveys every emotion she gives me just by breathing. “I love you.” I say as we break apart “ Of course, I’d come back to you. You mean the world to me. But the real question is what can I do for you to release that? I say laughing from the joy of this moment. “ Because I want the whole world to know I’m coming back to you no matter what.” Dove takes a sharp breath in.

“Well, I could think of some idea’s.” Watched her green eyes darkened with lust.

“ um-hum I bet you could,” I say and start to lean into...

“Meroooww” Both of us releasing a painful sigh turn our heads to Peanut Butter.

“What you want some attention to,” Dove says, teasing the cat. Looking back at me she starts to lean in again but I put my hand in front of her lips.

“Sorry baby, but our children come first,” I say taking the cat into my arms and scratching it between the ears. 

“ Are you kidding me!” she says shocked. Looking at me. Shaking my head I respond.

“I'm dead serious.” she groans and lays back on the bed. 

“Can we at least watch a movie?” she declares I’m about to say yes when we both hear.
