i LOVED the humanization of aegon. alicent has always seen him as a thing. and in the scene it begins with her asking "is he alive?" to orwyle. "he". not "aegon" or "my son". then the horror of watching the maesters handle aegon like doll, like she has done and then: "is my son going to die?" MY SON. how does it feel alicent!! when she begins to see him as a person, as her little son lying almost dead, it's when she can't contain herself and steps back. she must ground herself. it's "the king" now, and then aemond comes and watches the body like a carrion bird and she's disgusted! it's just such a good detail to have orwyle lists aegon's body parts and his ailments as alicent comes to the realization aegon might be a person with feelings and pains and that is probably going to die without her ever telling him something real. "mummy".

STOP: it's not the goddamn year of the dragon yet
Hold on posting your goddamn culturally Christian ass solar new year greetings that clumsily use east Asian lunar new year elements. We gotta do this song and dance every single time because y'all still refuse to do any research. Lunar new year is never on January 1; it is ALWAYS after solar new year. Lunar new year 2024 is on February 10th – save yourself some embarrassment please you're better than this

The Midsummer Watch Festival in Chester is a historic parade and festival that takes place in Chester, England. It is one of the oldest festivals in the country, dating back to the early 14th century. The festival originally began in 1498 and was initially organized by the city's guilds and the clergy to celebrate the feast of St. John the Baptist on June 24th, which coincided with the midsummer solstice.- Chester, UK

He watched the parent trap once and thought this would definitely be a foolproof plan to assassinate the queen
