Pokemon Variants: Pumpkin

(My favorite Applin line variant!) Pumpkin refers to an Applin who hid in a Pumpkin, and its evolutions ended up resembling one.

Applin

Applin that go into Pumpkins. Since Applin go into the first fruit or vegetable they find, these Applins eggs usually hatch in Pumpkin patches. They're often seen as pests since multiple usually hatch at a time and steal all the Pumpkins. To prevent this, many farmers have made decoy Pumpkin patches away from the main patches I'm hopes that Appletun or Flapple will decide to lay their eggs there instead. Pumpkin Applin are slower than usual but have higher defense.

Appletun

If their pumpkin has a sweet flavor (or they are given the special item, Pumpkin Sweet), they will evolve into the Pumpkin variant of Appletun. Pumpkin Appletun were bred to look like pumpkin pie, with the shedding on their back even being edible and tasting like pumpkin pie. They're often used for parties and are symbols of autumn. In old Galar, it was tradition to feed Pumpkin Appletun fruit and sweets for Samhain celebrations. They symbolize prosperity, abundance, and protection.

Flapple

My favorite member of the line. Gives me a mythical forest vibe for some reason. Anyways, Pumpkin Applin evolve into Pumpkin Flapple by choosing a sour pumpkin for protection or eating the Sour pumpkin sweet. While Pumpkin Appletun are seen as a symbol for Autumn, Pumpkin Flapple are symbols of autumn and death. They're also seen as protectors and helping ward away evil spirits. However, they're not loved by everyone, as farmers see them as the worst pests of the line for their quickness and determine to eat their crops.

Dipplin

Applin evolve into Pumpkin Dipplin when they come across a Juicy Pumpkin, which only grow in Kitakami. They appear the most in the fall, when Pumpkins almost become as plentiful as apples in the region, and they're highly praised there for being a symbol of a good harvest. They're Syrup becomes pumpkin guts, which is thicker and more damaging but less sticky. They're often slower due to their bigger height.

Gourd was born in an Apple tree farm, but he was too big and we had to bring him a pumpkin instead, which he was okay with. Gourd is pretty shy, but doesn't mind getting attention as long as you give him a pat on the head. Mostly likes to sit in corners and stare at things that go by. We don't know the flavor of the pumpkin, so his evolution is a bit of a mystery (unless you use the food option). If you're interested in adoption, reblog this post staring your qualifications.

Another trainer approaches!

This week's card is Clair; The "World's Best" Dragon Master. I love her hair but not her attitude in the game. Also, Kingdra needs some love at times.

"I am Clair. The world's best dragon master. I can hold my own against even the Pokémon League's Elite Four. Do you still want to take me on? ...Fine. Let's do it! As a trainer, I will use my full power against any opponent!"

Alola! Just wanted to give tips revolving around the more exotic pokemon I have on my team!(please note I'm not an expert on pokemon, this is from experience and info Kukui told me!)

Midnight form lycanroc:

The best way to give enrichment to this variant of lycanroc is to have toys they can continuously chew on, hold treats or can be torn apart, if the toys are a lil expensive then i recommend hiking! Just don't let them eat the rocks, they'll try for sure.

Immediately after evolution I've learned it's necessary to let them hold onto you, it helps strengthen their hind legs and them watching you walk is good visual aid, however if you are unable to walk it's good to let them hold onto your wheelchair/ have their own aid that can be purchased online. apparently this can happen in the wild too according to professor Kukui.

They are LOUD, especially since they like to "scream"(more like a high pitched, prolonged bark) durring nighttime, this may vary from pup to pup but giving my lycanroc a miltank bone helps keep her quiet

Goodra

They, are, slimy. They'll need quite a few bathes(2 every few days at most) as they're slimy bodies can hold onto a lot of dirt. Make sure you can access specialized shampoo meant to clean and not harm the chemical makeup of the slime as it keeps them healthy, also I would recommend wearing old, already dirty clothes as their slime can bleach fabric

They're quite social pokemon so it's best to have another pokemon to prevent depressive episodes, preferably a water type of similar size or build to the Goodra like a Blastoise or Lapras!

Make sure you are near a large body of water(such as a river, pond or even pool) as they enjoy wet environments!

If they start to dry up for no apparent reason, take them to a pokemon center immediately, it's a early sign of illness!

Volcanrona

Volcanronas are surprisingly omnivorous, they tend to prey on smaller bug pokemon such as caterpie, but they also enjoy some nice veggies(mine absolutely loves cabbage!) but as for the required meat part of the diet, I recommend purchasing pokemon food that have high meat contents(please ensure your pokemon has no allergies and if they do, simply get food without the allergens or make it yourself)

They are quite introverted compared to Goodras so a large, warm space is good spot for your Volcanrona, if you have a large backyard with easy access to sunlight they'll be happier than a mudbray rolling in mud! Also if they are kept indoors for too long they can start showing signs of illness, do not lock them inside for no good reason!

I've learned they are prone to strong smells, if they are suddenly reacting negatively towards you it might be your perfume/cologne. The intense smells can cause them to experience overstimulation or other sensory problems, which can cause them to become angered if the irritant isn't away from them asap

The fiery breath of a charizard is intense and can inflict terrible pain on its enemies. If it becomes furious, its fire burns a bluish-white color. The hotter the fire it expels, the more intensely its tail burns. Its fire burns hotter the more harsh battles it’s experienced. A charizard is honorable in nature. With its new wings, it flies around at an altitude of about 4,600 feet in search of powerful enemies. It will never torch a foe weaker than it. It may accidentally cause forest fires due to their fights. When a charizard transforms into its mega x form, it temporarily gains an overwhelming amount of dragon energy, altering its appearance drastically. Upon transforming into its mega y form, its speed will temporarily increase harshly. When it gigantamaxes, its body temperature increases to 3,600°F. That temperature increases even more when it roars.

It’s said that Aqua Ring also makes a veil of water, do you think that could help Dracovish breath similar to Water Veil?

In theory, yes it could. In practice, unfortunately no, because there have been no Dracovish who have shown the ability to use the move Aqua Ring.

Massive props to dragon-type trainers, from my experience dragon types are the hardest to take care of. I had an internship at a pokemon shelter a couple years ago, and there was a duraludon we had to take care of for a week cause it was found abandoned. The thing was super sweet but also very energetic and needed to eat a ton. It really liked me so I ended up doing a lot of the work (it would bite the other people if i wasn't the one feeding it -3-)

I was tempted to adopt him but I don't think I could physically take care of him :[

(I know my goomy is a dragon type but goomy is probably the easiest dragon type to care for in my experience)
