what other ships do you ship aside from bellamort?

Almost all the canon ones, to varying degrees: Belladolphus, Lucissa, Drastoria, Hinny, Romione, Grindeldore.

I have only ever written about the first three in fanfiction, however (aside from Bella x Voldemort, of course).

I enjoy reading both Jily and Snily but mostly in one-shots because I cannot bring myself to read multiple-chapter stories for these couples unless they are part of a bigger story.

You see, I tend to enjoy fanfics despite the romantic element, most of the time, and not because of it. I like to read stories about characters and their struggles, especially in the first wizarding war, and not ones that talk about how x and y fell in love. The only exception are probably Bellamort stories, and even then I'm very picky.

I don't ship it as much as I did, but my first OTP was Sirius x Bellatrix (i know, i know). I've also read and liked Severus x Narcissa, Rabastan x Andromeda (but there are no good ones around, unfortunately), and various combinations of those characters (with lots of drama and unrequited pining).

Also, I can read pretty much anything that is plausible and well-written, but I'm very quick to close fanfics if there are elements of them that I dislike. I find character bashing in general to be stupid and lazy writing, no matter which character it is. If you can't write a character, find a way to write him out of the story and leave it at that. Taking your anger out at fictional characters by treating them like Saw does with his victims has always puzzled me.

Also, if the ideas are good but the writing is horrible, I will close the story and read something else (although regrettably). I might stick around longer if the writing is amazing and the ideas are meh, but eventually, I'll get bored.

Something I can't stand is self!insert fanfictions and ones with "y/n" in them. They are usually horribly written and just straight-up porn, which would be fine on its own, except they are so cringy I can't look at them. They give me so much second-hand embarrassment.

Most of the fics I read are in my mother tongue (Italian) anyways. I don't have an account on English fanfic websites, so I mostly go there if I receive a link or if I'm looking for something specific that doesn't exist in the Italian fandom.

Sooooooo ..... I have FINALLY finished my Farmers Market Fest fic after a looooong few weeks of trying to find time to write 🥰🙌🏻

@littlerose13writes has lots of canon compliant scorbus and drastoria fics! her current one I Knew It All Along is the 3rd part of a beautiful series that, in my completely unbiased opinion, is a must read in the scorbus fandom!

@roonilbwazlib has many adorable drastoria and scorbus fics! you should definitely check her newest series Project Folklore (Roonil’s Version) it’s got some amazing Drastoria! One of my personal favorites of hers is Swings & Roundabouts more must reads over on her ao3!!

another fantastic author is @gobstoneswithhector i’ve been reading their most recent fic Time After Time and just loving it so much! They’ve got lots of other great Cursed Child related fics too!

where do i start with @accioscorp they’ve got so many brilliant fics! the one i think about often is Cuddles Are The Best Cure but definitely check them all out!

SunshineScorpius has lots of lovely Cursed Child related fics!! So many i can’t choose a favorite but I’ll recommend Conversations for a Rainy Day for some scorbus

@albuspottrss has some fantastic ones as well!! definitely recommend in the moment, we’re lost and found for some drastoria <33

I have to tell you this. The way your Drastoria started as slowburn and now turned into this was absolutely magical to witness. I LOVED your pieces of them in the beginning, when a simple touch of hands would mean the world and make me excited for what’s to come next. And I have to say, now that they are married, I can’t stop thinking about them. The intimacy that you portray, the way they are so comfortable with each other yet nothing about that comfort is boring, it’s just nice and safe and wonderfully intimate. The fact that Draco WHISPERED her the proposal. I mean some people propose in crowds (and there’s nothing wrong with that if that’s what they want) but this proposal was so special because it was just for them, just for her. They don’t care to show off their relationship, they don’t care what their parents or anybody thinks of it, they’re doing it all for each other. And soon Scorpius. The last piece you posted, where they’re both smiling, they are just glowing! They look so happy! It makes me think a lot about Astoria’s faith in canon and I fully support whatever decision you make about what you choose to show in your art and how you headcanon their relationship. But I personally can’t get canon out of my head, I’m too deep in it haha. But it’s equally as beautiful as devastating, their relationship. Seeing your art makes me so happy but breaks my heart knowing what happens to Astoria later. I do feel comfort in them having Scorpius, who although resembles Draco a lot, definitely has Astoria written all over him and I bet he reminds Draco of Astoria in the most random moments, words and movements. Imagining Draco sticking by Astoria until the end, and them properly saying goodbye, and Draco and Scorpius visiting her grave every winter and summer holidays and Draco sometimes going alone. And keeping her pictures and her things. And the way he was never the same after their relationship, just because of all the love she gave him and the way she showed him how much love he is capable of giving. I know losing her makes him sad but I know remembering her makes him grateful that he ever had her in his life. Thank you for how much your art makes me feel and think! You’re amazing!

Nobody Tells You How by @thirdeye1234 (E, 34.2k, 2019)

Summary: Draco never expected to find love once, let alone twice. But how does love work when your heart's still broken? *OR* Harry gets a heart transplant and develops feelings for Draco Malfoy, but those two things are not at all related. Until they are.

So, I read this amazing fic and I just need to rec it so badly!!! It's dramatically underrated!

1. If you love Drastoria, this fic is for you (but warning: it ends as we canonically know it). There aren't a lot of Drastoria scenes, but what's there makes you fall in love with them. It's a great part to get to know this Draco.

2. The characterisations are perfect. This Draco and this Harry are simply perfect. I love every single one of their interactions; they're in-character and funny and sweet. You see their love slowly unfurl and blossom and it's beautiful.

3. The writing is flawless and flows just so well. The author writes about an incredibly hard topic (a spouse's death) and makes it achingly believable and bittersweet. It's about learning to love again after losing your partner, in a way that surprises the reader (and Draco, in the best possible ways).

Bonus: the story has a lot of funny moments, subplots (the Thestrals!!!) and insightful thoughts about losses and guilt about falling in love again, but the author takes your hand and brings you through it like a caring parent. I absolutely adored it. Give it a chance! ❤️

I actually adore Drastoria. I don't particularly like canon Draco (but fanon Draco is my whole entire heart), but the way this ship yanks me into my feels.

So first of all I hc Astoria as a headstrong girlboss who doesn't take any of Draco McBroody Malfoy's sh*t.

"Why would you love me? There's nothing to love."

"Get over yourself you aren't that special you attention wh*re."

"But why do you love me though?"

"Because I do. You aren't the only man I've lowered my standards drastically for."

Like, she kind of heals him??

He's broken. The pieces of him aren't even close to being put back together. But she's the glue he needed.

Basically what I mean is that I'm a sucker for picking up the broken pieces trope. Bartylus

Also the "hated everyone but her" trope.

He never really paid attention to her, but she did. She always knew about Draco Malfoy. Not that this meant that she liked him in the least. (spoiler alert: she didn't)

He gets softer because of her.

Not just around her, because so many things remind him of her that he's soft all the time.

He pretends to not like it. Pretends.

Astoria cuts his hair. I know she does.

He was so scared about Scorpius, but he turned out an amazing father.

Every time Astoria sees her boys together, she just melts.

She is best friends with Ginny and Hermione.

They shit on their dumbass boyfriends every Saturday at brunch.

Said boyfriends have been forced to sit together through several brunches.

They didn't like it.

Okay back to Drastoria now

She taught him to cook because he cannot. Rich white boy. Need I say more?

Draco didn't use the family ring to propose to her because his family didn't exactly like her.

He actually made a new one for her. She loved it very very much. It was on Rose Granger-Weasley's finger on her wedding day.

Draco planned his proposal meticulously and drove everyone nuts. Of course, absolutely nothing went to plan and Astoria accidentally fell into a pond and dragged Draco down with her.

To this day, Theo and Blaise tease him about it. They also say that they're still mad at him for being a groomzilla. It was terrifying, apparently.

Another canon-compliant reader! Yay! It makes me so happy to find others who love canon-compliant pairings as much as me!

I wish I had a long list of writers who write multiple ships, but I've found that most stick to one or two pairings when writing.

@jenoramaca @hillnerd and @constitutionalweasleymonarchy are three authors that come to mind that do a lot of canon-compliant stuff that is varied. And I've done a lot of dabbling in several ships though I stick mainly to Romione and Jily.

Have you checked out the @chudleycanonficfest archives? We had over 60 stories with all types of canon complaint stories from many different authors there, so I'd encourage you to check that out too! Definitely use that to find more authors (who were all amazing!) who write canon-compliant!

As I just saw blvnk's some really nice Drastoria art, I just wanted to know are you going to add Drastoria to ASC, considering she is now living with them at Wiltshire. Also when you were on your break I started reading your A New Beginning but couldn't finish it as I wasn't able to read Theo with someone who isn't Bas, sorry about that.... But in New Beginning you paired Blaise with Daphne, the idea which interested me quite.... And I red in ASC that they are thinking of how to bring Daphne at Wiltshire, where Blaise says something along the lines of him getting finally laid and Pansy shouting at him, I don't know which chapter though :') What are your thoughts about Draco Astoria and Blaise Daphne getting together in ASC, mostly Draco Astoria ? Also do you know any Drastoria fanfics ? Pls share if you do.

Blaise and Daphne definitely have a history, but I don't plan on them ending up together, no. Blaise hasn't met his future yet and won't for a while.
