i finally fucking made this thing let's GOOOO

the biggest tips i have for anyone wanting to draw them like this is to 1. practice A LOT and 2. USE REFERENCES!!!!!!! if you need a specific angle to reference you can use this sketchfab page with sun's 3d model (and animations!!) or these images of their head at various angles :3

i've also made a (very messy and disorganized) traced reference for their face that i'll be putting below the cut for anyone interested!

the specific image i'm referencing is the same one as my blog's banner if anyone's interested in that as well!! ^_^

i probably forgot to mention something somewhere so if anyone has any additional questions just lmk!!!

Dank farrik 🙈 I tried to make a face by template concepting video à la Eobe and it turned out fun chaos so I have to show it! 😂🙏✨

I picked Crosshair, because he‘s got the most uncommon clone face shape in my opinion and because he got to few friendly attention from my side in the last time (only fun attention, poor kitty Croissant actually not sorry) AND OF COURSE he jinxed it 🖤💀

While drawing I collected my thoughts, fails and drawing frustrations and I drew little funny extras so that it‘s possible to read decipher the notes despite the rush of the timelapse 😀 And I already thought yeah, this is getting a messy thing… 👀

… AND THEN my screen bugged and crashed my brush!! 😱😂 Aaahh sweet chaos! But great, I go for it, let’s look how far I get before my drawing device starts burning or something 🤷🏽‍♀️

Is making ‚Fun drawing process à la Eobe‘ a thing? 👀 I giggled and definitely had fun like a child playing and hope you have fun with my weird and quite ADHD coded timelapse too! 😂 And also I hope besides fun, it’s maybe a bit inspiring to try out (what was the original intention before I noticed that it’s getting chaotic 😅)

okay sticking the rest of my explanation under the cut because it's long but woooo mini-tutorial for cartoony teeth by someone who doesn't know how to explain things hope you're ready

things that i was too lazy add in but i think are still important:

NEVER be afraid to use references... if you can't figure out what you want, and googling stuff doesn't help, you can even go make faces at yourself in a mirror for a minute.

if you're not drawing in a realistic style, know when to add detail and know when to skip it. you don't usually need to outline each individual tooth unless the focus is on the mouth itself or you're going for a creepy effect... see the uncanny comment in the first slide

okay that's it uhhhh remember i'm not a professional? i just draw silly guys for fun don't take this as law or anything!!! have fun with it!!

I tried to make a tutorial for ¾-profile. I wasn't decided how I would do it while I was drawing. To write the instructions here or on little notes in the pictures. I decided to take pictures for both, but when I was finished I didn't have pictures enough to neither. I post what I got. I started to make a new one, but this should have been up Sunday, so I don't have time. Use it as best you can. I'll do a better one some other time. Yeah, you should probably watch the pic's one at the time, so you see the whole picture.

Credit should go to Chommang, in who's payed membership class on YouTube I learnt how to draw faces like this. I advice everyone who are interested in pencil drawing to check him out.

If its not too much of a bother could you show us how you draw or study faces?

This is such a dense subject and you could fill a book on each tiny feature of the face but if you're talking about like, facial composition and thought process then yeah sure!
