Young Eda spinoff this. Philip and Caleb spinoff that. Adult Hexsquad spinoff would be fire. But hear me out.
Gimme a spinoff called Lost Hoots. A show that goes through all the theoretical adventures we could have gotten if the show hadn't been shortened. No serialized plot needed, just show us what these intended episodes would have been like so we could explore x character or x location and how they would have fit into the Owl House world. Examples include:
Hettie Cutburn episode
Vitimir episode
Osran episode
Mason episode
Steve and Matt episode
Beach day episode
Bat Queen origin episode
Hooty origin episode
Dell episode
Clawthorne family healing episode
Emira episode
Vee and Camila episode
Human realm shenanigans episode
Multi-trackers episode
Demon realm food episode
Glandus episode
St. Epiderm episode
Dadrius and Sonter episode
Wittebane bros and Evelyn backstory episode
RAEDA WEDDING episode
The possibilities I tell you.
Don't come @ me saying it's too late, the show's already over; I know that. Let a guy dream about what could have been and what can still be someday.

The reason the third set of Earthspark episodes were such a disappointment to me was that I expected all the plot threads from the previous two thirds of the show to interweave and instead a lot of them were just dropped.
Like why did Optimus need to keep Bumblebee's existence a secret? Why did GHOST think he was dead? And what consequences did Optimus face once GHOST found out Bee was alive? Seemingly none. Optimus showed up so little in the second batch of episodes that I kind of thought they'd retaliated against him and imprisoned or brainwashed him but nah, he's fine and it's never explained why Bumblebee had to fake his own death.
What was the Cybertronians' war initially about? It is unbelievable to me that this wasn't explored. First, it's interesting! Second, it would give us insight into the motivations of the Decepticon ensemble.
The show is a sort of a "what if" AU based on G1, and in G1 the Decepticons were warmongers who wanted to rule the galaxy and enslave everyone. However, if you've read MTMTE you might notice Megatron chiding Shockwave for dismissing the Terrans as "lower class beings" and conclude that the war was about classism. But ultimately the viewer shouldn't have to fill in the blanks from other media. Earthspark should address this within its own show, because the question "Can the Decepticons be trusted, can they be redeemed?" can't be answered without it. Like, if the Decepticons were just The Evil Bad Guys then it wouldn't matter, but if you want them to end up freely walking the Earth then it's extremely important to know if the average 'Con's motivation for joining the army was "I'm standing up for my civil rights" versus "y'know, I just love killing people." Especially since, unlike the easy-breezy G1 cartoon, in Earthspark the TF war resulted in human injuries and deaths.
Shockwave and Soundwave's complicated feelings about Megatron never get resolved or even addressed outside their solo episodes. Which is very odd in a series that put such an emphasis on working out emotional strife, what with the cyber-sleeves and all. In the finale the Decepticons team up with the Autobots and Terrans because Mandroid wants to destroy all robot life: a purely physical threat. And that was a cool fight. But it doesn't resolve any of the emotional baggage. This disappointed me because the emotional fallout of Megatron's side-switch was the most interesting part of the show imo.
Then there was the Starscream episode, which felt like the "Dear Princess Celestia" moral in the last two minutes of a MLP FIM episode without showing how the conflict played out in the previous twenty minutes.
Earthspark got renewed for a second season. (And I'm glad! It has a lot of potential, that's why I was pumped during the first two-thirds!) But they thought they might only get one season, and if that was the case they would have left us with all these dead ends.

Chronic shipper brain disease aside, my greatest hope for the HD re-releases of AJ, DD, and SoJ is that it reels in some more naruodo enjoyers / tolerators.
Not shippers, per say (although that would be nice), but at least people who see their fun broken-but-then-mended hero worship dynamic across all three games,

look at the fan art and fan fics made about it, and go, “It may not be my thing, but I get the appeal,” instead of picking up their metaphorical pitchforks because of an 11-year age difference between two unrelated adults who met as adults.

here's a horrifying thought (mild spoilers for "Infiltration"):
something something identity has been one of the focal points of Crosshair's character and he confirmed that wiping one's identity away completely is part of the Clone X program.
Hemlock tried to destroy who Crosshair was completely after the poor guy was having an internal crisis for two whole seasons. I am not ok right now.

…What if WS01 herself is under the effects of Risus Pill variants?
The happy upbeat attitude. The overcoming grief over lost loved ones made possible through working with the Federation. The “Everything is perfect! My life is perfect!” Attitude.
Where have we heard that one before?
And it wouldn’t even be the first time someone took the Pills with a mind to study the effects - but given the unethical standards of the Federation, tuning them to be stronger rather than making a counter agent/antidote is entirely within reason. Adding to that, there’s so many cult overtones in how the low rank members responded to the new WS-rank person in their midst, recently assigned to this island to help Cucurucho..
Why is there such a fixation on Happiness? Why is this coupled with the goal of Perfection?
Methinks we might get some hints at this on Forever’s stream today.

I am not going to write a companion piece to my mid-season two Ted and Jamie coach dad post now that I have the benefit of hindsight with the show ending and a fuck ton to complain about. But I’m not not gonna write it, ya feel?

Saw the tags on ur previous ask, Atreus having to mercy kill his father so obviously kratos does not want revenge on his killer literally pshhhh crying so hard rn
Listen there's this snippet of Lore called The Cycle Of Patricide, and I spent the entire four years between GOW 2018 and Ragnarok EXPECTING Atreus to stab Kratos. Cory Balrog baited me. When I saw that final image on the wall in Jotunheim, I fully interpreted that as Atreus stabbing Kratos and offering his body to Thor. My evidence:
"Is this what it is to be a god? Is this how it always ends? Sons killing their mothers, their fathers?"
We saw Kratos kill Zeus, and more importantly, Atreus saw Kratos kill Zeus.
The repeated motif of violence in parent-child dynamics (Thor and his sons, Thamur and his son, Freya and Baldur, everything with Odin, that side quest with the son who regretted killing his father in Fafnir's Storeroom, pretty sure there's a lot more I'm forgetting)
The enduring question of whether or not fate is inevitable. Is it possible to break the cycle?
Atreus's anger and thirst for blood.
Atreus literally shot Kratos and sent them into Hel.
"So you'd let me kill you?" "If it meant that you would live... yes."
SO IT'S NOT MY FAULT IT'S SAD, AND IT'S NOT MY FAULT THAT I WROTE THIS. THIS IS LITERALLY NOT MY IDEA--

Maria felt her body tremble, a pain resonating in her, but when she was told to go, where she couldn't fathom to watch what might unfold, her legs carried her down the hall, looking for refuge.
She managed to stumble down the hall, vision blurry by the tears that swelled in her eyes, and she could hear the voices.
"We're going to die."
"Everyone get down."
"Is she dead?"
"Fuck, we need to get her out of here."
The screams haunted her dreams, but it was always painted in red, and no matter how hard she tried to ignore the intrusions, they never left.
Her back pushed into a nook down a hallway that held some semblance of quietness, sliding down to her ass, pulling her knees to her chest.
"Make it stop...." She mumbles to herself, hating that she finally gave into her demons, facing buried into her knees.

It has officially been a month since Owl House's finale, and I am totally fine*
*and by fine, I mean constantly thinking about the characters, the story, the coven heads we didn't properly meet, and the lost episodes.

where: berkeley after party post plot drop who: @gianna-palazzolo
David made his way further into the house, phone in one hand, scanning his surroundings with each step he took.
Why the fuck aren't they texting back?
His head turned when he caught sight of one familiar face, weaving around a person before coming up next to her.
"Have you seen anyone?" He knew his absence was noticeable, but he was learning, working, for his godfather because he wanted to be more.
A second passed and he glanced Gianna over. "Are you good?" He had a feeling she was more than capable of holding her own, but that didn't stop him from asking.

Do tb incels pretend that criston is the only one got away with murder ???
Da*mon murdered his wife the lady of runestone and one of the vale vessels ladies
In books rhaen*yra and da*mon kill laenor and his parents didn't care about his murder !?
This definitely comes down to the writers deciding to add elements without actually changing anything around them.
Them writing Rhaenyra saying that people will believe her and Daemon killed Laenor but then never having anyone act like she and Daemon killed Laenor is such poor writing! For the book it’s a little more excusable because Laenor’s death could have been due to Qarl Correy, part of a larger plot from Rhaenyra and Daemon, or another person wanting him dead. It’s still weird for Corlys and Rhaenys to not be suspicious of Rhaenyra and Daemon after both their kids die and their spouses get together but Corlys is on some pretty strong copium and Rhaenys is toiling in service of her man.
Same with them rewriting Jeoffrey’s death from a tourney accident to murder with a giant audience but then never explaining or addressing how he got out of it is just so bad. The audience shouldn’t have to leave this up to interpretation!
HotD’s main flaw has and will probably always be the writing. It feels like a first draft was written then given to multiple people to edit without letting them communicate then having each scene use a different script. Plot threads, character motivations, and even time gets so jumbled up that it’s a miracle this show is still watchable and not a complete confusing mess. The writers needed to sit down, confirm character motivations and how they change over the 20+ years, then get a script together that actually follows through with each plot point.
Oh and Rhea Royce’s death being dropped after her cousin confronts Daemon for like two seconds is such a shame! They better bring her back up in season two when Jace meets with Jane Arryn. A rock to the head looks a lot different from a broken neck.

when: 4th of July Carnival, 2023 where: watching the fireworks with: Andrew Jackson (@drewxjackson )
It was crazy how quickly everything changed.
Roman had always read about and listened to firework safety. The danger of fireworks was often considered like the danger of driving - the consequences were severe, but people behaved safely, so the threat never felt real, not until that night.
It had been a great day. The morning shift at the food truck had gone great, and then they'd all agreed to pack it up early for the evening so they could watch the fireworks. He was with Andrew, holding hands while they walked, laughing and teasing each other, then stood side by side to watch the show. His arm wrapped around Andrew's shoulders, and Andrew's arm was wrapped around his waist. They'd been talking about heading over to the Ferris Wheel after the show to see if they could get a last-minute ride or wait until later in the week. Roman had leaned down to talk directly against Andrew's ear, teasing him about making out like teenagers.
The show had been great, lighting the sky and the crowd's gazing faces with green, red, pink, purple, sparkling white and shimmering gold. People were cheering occasionally, applauding softly with each 'act', as the show rose and rose to a crescendo. There had been a pause, a gap before the final act, and the crowd had waited quietly, curiously, all eyes to the sky. There had been shouting, panicked, far-off shouting. Roman, taller than most, had glanced over to the dark area where the fireworks were being lit, and made out figures rushing about, two dashing off into the dark, knocking over sticks as they went. It was so dark, it took him too long to process what was happening before the first firework shot off, towards the carnival, and someone screamed, high and shrill.
"Shit!" Roman cursed, quickly throwing his arm over Andrew's head.
It struck a building close by, exploding with a loud bang, light and colour, fiery sparks raining down on the crowd that quickly dispersed like a shoal of startled fish.
Screaming, running, pushing, shoving. The whole crowd erupted into chaos. Roman moved to grab Andrew and run, when the people in front of them parted quickly, leaving a stretch open for a firework. It flew at them like a screeching bullet of bright, burning light. Roman registered it and the trajectory, and his body moved without thought.
He turned and stepped in front of Andrew, grabbing him with both arms, covering with his whole body and shifting his weight to throw them to the floor. Behind them, the firework screeched closer, closer until it was deafening his ears, and it punched him in the back, exploding.
He hit the grass. His back had been punched, hard. Something, tiny pieces of something, had ripped through his skin at his back, his arm, his face. His ears were ringing. No other sound, just ringing. He felt stayed tight and curled up, covering Andrew, not letting anything touch him. Then, his back was burning. It was burning. God, fuck, he'd never known that kinda pain. It was so fierce, so intense, he suddenly felt sick. Something was pushing him away, and he managed to uncurl, leaning on his side. The weight underneath his disappeared, and he curled into the grass, hands balled into fists. Burning. The smell. Oh God, The smell, the pain. Tears pricked his eyes, and he pressed his face into the grass.
