Harry Styles is back on top. Styles closed his Love On Tour with a bang on July 22, but the month before proved to be history-making for the star. In June alone, Styles’ tour raked in a whopping $105 million and sold nearly one million tickets, according to Billboard.

This places Styles second behind Bad Bunny, who also earned nine figures in one month with his World’s Hottest Tour in September 2022, earning north of $123 million. This also makes the first time the “Watermelon Sugar” hitmaker has topped Billboard‘s Top Tours chart.

Coming in at No. 2 for June is Beyonce’s Renaissance World Tour, followed by Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour and Dead & Company’s Final Tour, with Ed Sheeran’s The Mathematics Tour rounding out the Top 5.

“Thank you for the way you’ve supported me over the last 13 years,” Styles told the crowd at his final show in Italy. “I couldn’t have done it without you and for loving me in the way that you have. Thank you so much.”

After launching in September 2021, Love On Tour crossed five continents and had a total gross of more than $400 million in ticket sales. He set a record at Madison Square Garden when he performed 15 sold-out shows in August and September 2022.

The tour was in support of his two latest albums, Fine Line and Harry’s House. The latter project was a commercial and critical success, spewing such hits as “Late Night Talking” and “As It Was.” Harry’s House won multiple Grammy Awards in 2023, including the coveted Album of the Year.

also in the statement of szgit festival for Louis , they said that he sold 18k tickets for 2022 afhf ,and they only mentioned that this year’s festival was held in Italy without mentioning any numbers , because I remember an Italian newspaper revealed that only 8k tickets were sold and louies ignored it and tried to hide it , same with the Europe/uk leg , Sara’s kitchen posted the exact numbers of sold tickets and sea’s is bluntly lying that he sold at least 350k for each leg of this tour , like behind the scenes they are clearly losing money just to feed his ego and buying himself any achievement because he has enough money to fund himself although he’s haemorrhaging money

If he'd sold impressive numbers of tickets on that tour he'd have reported his boxscore numbers to Pollstar, but he didn't. He had empty sections all over the US and Europe. If he'd made as much as Sea claims he'd be in the top 25 tours of 2023 ... and he's not.

Touts Out! How Twickets is changing the landscape of ticket resale

As Twickets’ growth smashes 1.5 million visitors in 2022 and gross revenues soar by 140% compared to pre-covid, it is no surprise that popular Stockport-based band, Blossoms, has joined Twickets’ already prominent list of partners, including George Ezra, Ed Sheeran, and Adele.

The ticket resale revolution began in 2011 on Twitter as “@Twickets” by London-based web designer and music fan, Richard Davies, to combat empty seats in “sold out” gigs. Just over a decade later and Twickets has evolved into a formidable business that has changed how we do ticket resale.

Pre-2011 saw music-lovers, theatre-enthusiasts and sport-goers ripped off by resale prices in the secondary ticket market. The resale industry was unsympathetic to fans that cancelled their plans due to unforeseen circumstances but did not want their ticket going to waste.

It meant empty seats in shows that were supposedly “sold out”. However, this left a gap in the market for an ethical fan-to-fan ticket resale service, and Mr Davies delivered.  

Initially using twitter to connect fans, his idea was to resell tickets at face value or less; within two years, Twickets resold 45,000 spare tickets. 

A movement had begun and was quickly gathering momentum. With the introduction of an easy to navigate website, locating events became simpler; be it sport, music, or theatre and arts, the internal search engine allows the user to find specific events by name, date, and location. 

With the added features of a Live Ticket Stream and allowing users to set up alerts that ping straight to their phone, Twickets continued to grow and new partnerships forged with influential artists and companies like Spice Girls and Gigs and Tours.

Twickets has forced a change in the industry despite rivals adopting similar models like a dynamic pricing program. Twickets still remain the only service that can resell any ticket to any event, anywhere. 

Fan-to-fan interaction is encouraged through Twitter with prompts for friendly, nostalgic conversation while updating them on the latest available tickets or to draw attention to those pesky touts. 

Their frequent informative blog keeps the fans in the know with current developments and new partnerships and has resulted in Twickets seeing over 300k tickets listed in Q2 this year.

The “Events Near You” feature - available on their app and website - promotes last-minute tickets in the user’s immediate vicinity. Also, the buyer can “Make an Offer” on the original selling price, preventing tickets from going to waste. 

Twickets reached three million new users in 2019 and ticketed over 25,000 events, with over 60% of their transactions made within the last week before a show takes place.

Since 2019 the app has been downloaded over 100k times while transactions have risen by 30%.

WHAT NEXT?

With the international market looking for resale reform, Twickets, having doubled its revenue in international territories - particularly in mainland Europe - is looking to expand into Germany and France.  Change is happening. Twickets is showing it can be done by putting fans and artists first.

As Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Hits One Year, Let’s Take a Look at Its Staggering Numbers

On March 17, it will officially have been one year since Taylor Swift's Eras Tour kicked off in Glendale, Ariz. In the 12 months since that fateful first show, Swift has broken untold records, made history as TIME's 2023 Person of the Year, cultivated a new legion of NFL fans, and announced her forthcoming 11th studio album—The Tortured Poets Department, out April 19—among a litany of other accomplishments.

By the end of 2023—less than halfway through its scheduled 152-show run—the Eras Tour had earned over $1 billion to become the highest-grossing concert tour of all time. During that period, every city where Swift played got a substantial economic boost from the so-called "Taylor Swift effect," a term that refers to the singer's unprecedented ability to influence consumer behavior. Following the inaugural U.S. leg of Eras, the U.S. Travel Association estimated that the tour's total economic impact likely exceeded $10 billion.

In the new year, Swift's staggering popularity seems to somehow still be on the rise. Less than a week after watching her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, win the Super Bowl, Swift played to the biggest concert crowd of her career while performing at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Australia during the first run of 2024 Eras dates, following four shows in Tokyo.

In honor of the first anniversary of the start of the Eras Tour, we're taking a numerical look back at the biggest year of Swift's career to date.

Number of Eras shows and cities

Swift will have played 83 shows across 30 cities as of March 17. Of those shows, 53 took place in the U.S. in 20 different cities stateside. The remaining 30 were part of the Latin America and Asia-Pacific legs of the tour. By the end of 2024, Swift is set to play a grand total of 152 Eras shows across 54 cities worldwide.

Number of surprise songs

In addition to her 40-plus-song set list, Swift has played at least two "surprise songs" per Eras show. Taking repeats into account, she has performed 145 different tracks (counting mashups of repeat songs as unique entries) as her 167 surprise offerings.

Number of special guests

From MUNA to Sabrina Carpenter to Haim, Swift's Eras stops have featured 10 different opening acts. She has also brought out eight other special guests, from Maren Morris to frequent collaborator Jack Antonoff, to join her on stage at various shows.

Number of people in attendance at her biggest show to date

Swift played three back-to-back shows at MCG on Feb. 16, 17, and 18 that were each attended by a record 96,000 people for a three-day total of 288,000 concertgoers. Ed Sheeran, who drew a crowd of around 109,500 each of the two nights he played at MCG in 2023, still holds the venue's single-night attendance record. But that's largely due to the fact that Swift's stage setup took up more room in the arena, cutting down on the number of available seats.

Number of Eras tickets sold

Swift sold an estimated 4.35 million tickets across 60 tour dates within concert trade publication Pollstar's chart year of Nov. 17, 2022 to Nov. 15, 2023. That's an average of 72,500 tickets per show, with each ticket costing an average of $238.95. Using those numbers to extrapolate across shows played since then, Swift has likely now sold around 6.02 million tickets.

Total Eras Tour gross

Based on the approximately $17.32 million in ticket revenue Pollstar estimates Swift earned for each of the first 60 Eras dates, her total tour gross currently sits somewhere around $1.44 billion. By the end of 2024, the tour is expected to have brought in an astronomical $2.165 billion. For comparison, the second-highest grossing tour of all time, Elton John’s multi-year Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour, sold six million tickets over the course of 328 shows to earn $939 million.

Total Eras merch revenue

According to reports from different venues, Pollstar estimates Eras attendees were spending an average of $40 per person on merch at the first 60 Eras shows. That puts Swift's tour merch revenue at an estimated $240.8 million—not including non-concert day purchases—following her first run of 2024 Eras dates.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour box-office earnings

Since its Oct. 13 release in theaters, Swift's record-breaking three-and-a-half-hour concert film has grossed $180,756,269 in North America and $261,656,269 globally at the box office. An extended edition of the movie became available to rent via video on demand services on Swift's birthday, Dec. 13, followed by the longest and most complete version of the film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version), arriving on streaming on Disney+ March 14.

Number of new songs

Since the Eras Tour began, Swift has released two re-recorded albums, Speak Now (Taylor's Version) and 1989 (Taylor's Version), and one new single, "You're Losing Me (From the Vault)," for a total of 45 new songs (including re-recorded songs and vault tracks). In their first week of sales, Speak Now (Taylor's Version), which featured one Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 hit, and 1989 (Taylor's Version), which featured seven Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 hits, sold 716,000 equivalent album units and 1.653 million equivalent album units, respectively. "You're Losing Me (From the Vault)" tallied 8.7 million official streams and sold 19,000 downloads in the U.S. in the first two days after its Nov. 29 debut, according to Luminate.

Raffle tickets will sell for $10, and the WHO Foundation pledges to put all proceeds toward supporting Ukraine's health care system.

The World Health Organizationfoundation announced the launch of an e-store and celebrity raffle Saturday (Sept. 24) that will feature items from the likes of Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran and Ellie Goulding. Fans can win donated one-off personal items in addition to concert tickets, as well as merch sold under the foundation’s Human Kind brand.

Examples of items available to win are a signed Styles vinyl LP, a tour brochure and signed T-shirt from Sheeran, and a signed merchandise bundle from Goulding. Swedish House Mafia and Annie Lennox also have items in the raffle, along with two VIP tickets to Coachella 2023. Raffle tickets will sell at just $10, and the WHO Foundation pledges to put all proceeds toward supporting Ukraine’s health care system.

The announcement of the Human Kind store marks seven months since the beginning of the war in Ukraine on Feb. 24. The blow-up of a longtime military buildup has created a European refugee crisis on a scale not seen since World War II.

Since the country’s invasion by Russia, around 12 million Ukrainians have either fled Ukraine or are internally displaced, according to the United Nations.

This partnership isn’t the first time these celebrities have expressed concern for Ukraine.

Back in May, Styles flew the Ukrainian flag during his “One Night Only in NY” concert at Belmont Park’s UBS Arena while singing his debut solo single “Sign of the Times.” Goulding performed the Ukrainian song of resistance “Chervona Kalyna” at Kyiv’s First Ladies Summit as a guest of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Sheeran teamed up with Ukrainian band Antytila to release a remix of his single “2step.” The track’s accompanying music video focuses on scenes of war and the bandmates’ experiences after the invasion was announced.

The Weeknd is incorporating NFTs into its next world tour, After Hours Till Dawn. The pop star is working with Binance for this . The crypto exchange announced this today , on June 2, 2022.

The 32-year-old R'n'B singer is one of the most successful pop stars in the world. He topped the Spotify charts in March 2022 with over 86 million monthly listeners and has sold over 75 million albums. Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber have now pushed him from first to third place.

Binance is partnering with HXOUSE to release an exclusive NFT collection for the tour. There will also be branded merchandise and special NFT tickets. They promise "unique" virtual experiences for fans.

A portion of the proceeds goes to a humanitarian fund. More information will be announced during the tour.

The ranks of pop stars experimenting with Web 3.0 continue to grow. Madonna co-released an NFT Collection with Beeple . Justin Bieber, Snoop Dogg and many others are also making their advances.

In addition, more and more festivals are integrating NFTs into their programmes, for example Tomorrowland .

ohhh i've gotten into cooking too and really enjoy doing meals from scratch! when we were in lockdown i also baked one cake per weekend haha but now i'm too busy on my weekends to do that but it was a fun hobby :) ... i only went to one show but it was for the red tour in berlin!!!! and it was amazing bc she had ed sheeran as a special guest and they sang i see fire, the whole show was such a dream! wbu? could you attend a concert? (oh, i also got tickets for the lover tour but.......oh well)
