Spacelab9 have revealed more details about the upcoming Dragon Age Vinyl box set. (It's a 70 track collection which will include songs from DA:O, DAII, DA:I, DLC and also some DA:I bard songs.)
I found this new info blurb about the cover art really interesting 👁️ (emphasis mine):
Deluxe package features all-original artwork by Dragon Age Concept Director Ramil Sunga and Lead UX Artist Danny Richardson, created exclusively for this album set. The beautifully detailed artwork presents a pictorial timeline following the lore of the Dragon Age series, beginning at the dawn of the Golden City, throughout the City's Fall and culminating in its re-emergence as the Black City, seat of the Old Gods. [source]
hello??? (the announcement blogpost for the vinyl contained the flavor text "From the land of Thedas, at the dawn of the Golden City".)
they also announced that the pre-sale for the box set was scheduled to begin April 27th (can't see it atm unless I'm missing it, maybe it's not yet started?) and that on the BioWare Gear Store it will begin on May 10th. each outlet will offer their own exclusive color variant of the vinyl.

Vidreu “Dru” Aeducan
If Trian and Bhelen can be said, respectively, to be the wisest and the cleverest children of King Edrin, there can be no doubt that the middle child has the most raw intelligence. Afforded the education and resources of her station, Vidreu Aeducan is a renowned alchemist, herbalist, chemist, and experimenter of any great number of natural and magical reagents, particularly of the explosive variety. It is this reckless penchant toward the dangerous, and general disregard for safety principles, which have foreclosed any possibilities for them to attain a stable position of employment, though they have put in numerous requests to work in Magi Circles across Thedas. The two missing fingers on the left hand do little to inspire confidence among reputable runesmiths, lyrium workers, and munitioners, while the disreputable are far too wary of entangling themselves with the princeps of Orzammar.
At the same time, Vidreu’s political career has been stifled by her solitary and eccentric nature and her tendency toward social impropriety. They have never mastered the social graces of their brothers, resulting in an endless string of offenses, faux pas, and misunderstandings with an equally endless list of dignitaries, nobles, merchants, artisans, scholars, and other figures of repute.
Should Dru leave her mark on Orzammar’s history, she will assuredly do it alone. Hopefully, at the very least, it won’t leave to much of the city razed to the ground.

The challenges in landing a career in Journalism
Finishing the year of college gives people a lot to reflect on. It makes them think about what the next few years of their freelancing life will look like. Whether they go in as a content creator, work for some publication, or continue to work at their low-paying part job, there are a lot of hopes and worries. One common fear in a career like this is someone telling you, “You won't get a job” and “There is no career in journalism.” While this is very common to worry about, it takes a lot of networking and competition to land a good-paying job in this career.
One of the more challenging parts of landing a career in journalism is having to put yourself out there. Now that we’re in the digital age, you must rely on social media. Not necessarily for follower count but to build the platform. According to Kovach and Rosenstiel, they say “Many emerging media outlets do not expect to generate revenue at the outset as much as build an audience and create a brand.” While it isn’t necessary to build a brand, it happens once you constantly use social media to report on the news. It is bound to occur if using a platform that is more follower based. Journalism wasn’t about a follower count. It was simply putting the news out there. Now, journalism has become mixed with social media; it has become about followers.
One example they mentioned was Tik Tok, one of the most well-known social media platforms, which is “often likely to generate more page views than the work of the reporter whose enterprise has revealed critical problems with the city’s water supply.” It is interesting because, with the algorithm that Tik Tok uses, it’s a short video that goes straight to the point. It makes it easier for the users to get the news, engage with it, and follow the person reporting it. Rather than the reporter on live television, the camera person shows the scenario from different angles.
Along with putting yourself out there on social media, you have to be careful with how you are reporting on topics. Social media moves fast with issues, so making sure your story is concise and makes sense is essential. Edrine Wanayama, a writer for cipesa.org, says that “Journalists should use technology responsibly to guard against counter productivity.” With this shift in journalism now being in the media, journalists must find a way to use social media responsibly to put out the news and report on stories coherently. They also report that “There should be deliberate efforts aimed at guarding against online vices such as disinformation and misinformation, false news and hate speech to ensure reporting events and stories are based on truth and objectivity,”, especially with the rise of both misinformation and disinformation in the media. News is constantly being out 24/7; therefore, to have a career in journalism in the digital age, we must make sure that what we’re reporting on, no matter the platform, is straightforward and makes sense. It’s also important to note that if you’re going to be a content creator in place of a freelancer, you want to make sure you know how you’re addressing the topic.
Christina Sanches Reyes covered it for laprensalatina.com; she reported that “Combating fake news is one of the main challenges for journalism in the digital age.” She also says “that one of the main problems for traditional media is that “it takes a lot of work to go at the speed” of the social networks and online media outlets.``
Another challenge with landing a career in journalism in the digital age is keeping up with the timeliness of reporting topics. In an article written by ijnet.org, they said that “One final challenge for journalists and media organizations is understanding where audiences are spending that time — and the implications of this.” When people go on their phones to read their news, they’ll be skimming through their news feeds and not necessarily paying attention to what is present unless it is a breaking news story. Journalists must be aware of what is going on, whether it is local or hyper-local, and report in a way that is happening now at the moment. The article also mentioned the move to closed networks. “Elsewhere, conversations are moving to closed networks like WhatsApp groups and Telegram channels due to their encryption and a perception that these channels can bypass digital eavesdropping. In recognition of this, Facebook announced a pivot to privacy last year.” Social media has started to shadow-ban and censor those who are reporting on topics that could reflect on a group or could affect a community. Journalists should stand with their integrity and report on what is going on in the world, and rely on platforms that won’t censor them.
Getting a career in journalism in the digital age can come with fears and worries that would make someone not want to put themselves out there. However, you have to swallow your pride and be honest with yourself and trust the platform you're working with. Even if you’re not the most significant content creator or you might focus on a specific beat, you have to put yourself out there and report as honestly as you can.
