you know, i can handle a little bit of fun "Nandor is dumb" talk, but i have a net-zero tolerance for any implication that Nandor is not educated.
Nandor would have been incredibly educated in his lifetime.
even (or especially) as a soldier in the Islamic World. being a soldier was more like getting sent to boarding school that's also a military camp. they weren't just concerned with creating loyal fodder for war. they were building the next government officials, generals, accountants, advisors, etc. it was important that young men knew how to read, write, speak multiple languages, learn philosophy...sometimes even studying art and music was mandatory.
if he was nobility (and its most likely he was), take all that shit and multiply it exponentially. Nandor would have been reading Plato at the same age most people are still potty training. he would have been specifically groomed in such a way to not be just a brilliant strategist and warrior, but also diplomate and ambassador of literally the center of scientific and cultural excellence of the age.
so like yeah, he can be a big dummy sometimes, sure. but that bitch is probably more educated than any of us will ever be.

Thinking about making my city council dread my existence after getting a lie-thru-the-teeth republican city rep re-election mailer
"Fentanyl from China is coming in through our unprotected southern border and I, a white woman about to insult ESL students and the fact that I don't protect ESL funding in my next paragraph, plan to do nothing but make crazier lies about this. ALSO? Jail for anyone and their poison." (you mean street fentanyl or the kind we use for highly specific and necessary medical cases and involve rx control more strict than we do for morphine?)
FENTANYL from CHINA coming thru our SOUTHERN BORDER? We're in Tennessee. They have better luck mailing it direct. Or making it here. 🤦 lady, you and the bald white men on the other side of this mailer are about to hate your election season

But
Do you think any of the mecha ever lurk the nsfw fandom forums just to occasionally comment and drop bombs like
"Any medic worth their scrap will tell you to not use energon as lube. I, however, am not a medic—"

literally so many people my age who were online in 06 have talked about how they were targeted and groomed by strangers on the internet. Kids have been sold extremism and abuse from the internet since theyve had access to it. I do think the internet is worse but dont pretend it was ever a safe or healthy place for kids to hang out

Nsfw // I sometimes check that one forum where (mostly) gay men post suggestive (or not) male celebrity pictures. So I checked the thread about Lando and it's basically all about his "huge bulge" and how "fuckable" he looks (I agree with both statements). But then I checked Oscar's thread and died laughing, they're all just saying how CUTE he is 😂 there are a few pics of his ass and thighs of course but it's mostly just CUTE BOY. WHOLESOME BOY. And it's so funny, those threads are generally so vulgar but Oscar is just cute boy and I think that's precious

The World Economic Forum is a (self-anointed) global thought leader on politics, sustainability, innovation and equality.
In fact, I actually know the World Economic Forum quite well, I’ve worked with them professionally dozens of times; we’ve collaborated on important projects, we’ve shaken hands, sat around tables and pretended to laugh at each other’s jokes. I’ve even scaled the icy mountains of Switzerland to spend the week documenting the ultra-VIP Davos conference.
Their Global Gender Gap Report is a highly anticipated and respected annual barometer for how the world is doing on its meandering journey toward equality. But with no sense of irony, the report’s methodology is itself, systemically sexist.
So, let’s turn the beady eye of equality onto those pointing the finger, is the GGGR sexist and how?
It’s time to say GG, to the GGGR

I'm in such a crappy mood because this panel discussion is on Wednesday and still not a single member of my group has contributed to anything (we're supposed to be posting and talking in a forum). Not even a hello except for one person who sent me a personal email at 12:30 last night apologizing because she didn't know there even was a forum. Honey are you telling me you haven't checked the online classroom at all over reading week + the weekend??? While you undoubtedly had other work that required you check the online classroom?? I actually just feel really sad. Just down and sad.

first: spoiler warning for deadly eduction
second:sorry no ik no one follows spoiler warnings
third: I reallly reallllly want to talk about the parallels between the enclaves and “The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas” by Ursula K Le Guin. In the ones who walk away Omelas is some wonderful city of like joy and shit and like in scholomance the enclaves are that more or less but like the important part is it’s based on the endless suffering of an innocent, a child and like. *vigorous pointing gestures* it’s the thing, they are the innocents and like I don’t know why I care this much it really doesn’t make a difference to what you get out of it but like *pointing gesture again*

What Makes Landmark Forum One Of The Most Preferred Personal Development Courses?
Tumblr media
Despite the heavy criticisms that have been leveled against the Landmark Education, more and more people continue to seek after the Landmark Forum courses. What makes the Landmark Forum one of the most preferred personal development programs in the world?
When people want to join a personal development course, they would certainly want to make sure that they join a program that yields results. There are so many different courses out there and it could be really confusing for people to select the right personal development program. They need to use some selection criteria to identify the best courses. One of the key parameters that everyone uses is the results obtained from the program; if the program is not going to be effective then what is the fun in investing one’s time and efforts?
Along these lines, Landmark Forum reviews posted by the participants of the Landmark courses indicate that the courses are highly effective. They get back with loads of takeaways. Moreover, the changes experienced in one’s life are shared through various online platforms. All these make Landmark Forum one of the most impressive personal development programs.
Secondly, most of the self-help programs do not try to build a community. Once the program is over, the participants are on their own. This is not the case with the Landmark Education. The participants could get connected with the largest community of Landmark graduates that help one another. This support group makes all the difference. The members of the community motivate one another and help each other to stay on track.
Thirdly, the Landmark Forum features numerous courses for everyone to explore and try. There are courses for all age groups and for people from all walks of life. All the courses have been developed based on the specific target group’s interests and needs. The courses are delivered by the most experienced faculties. All the programs are very result oriented and practical instead of being just theoretical in nature.
These are some of the most important reasons why more and more people love to join the Landmark Forum courses. You will get the best value for your time as well as your money when you join the Landmark Forum seminars. There cannot be a better option for someone looking for the most impressive personal development courses.
This is one of the most transparent programs available in the industry today. Every month a free intro session is conducted for the benefit of those who want to try the courses offered by the Landmark Education. In this free intro, all the questions of the participants are answered and this will help one to make well-informed decision. You might want to take advantage of the introductory session in your city. These introductory sessions are conducted in Landmark Education offices every month. Check the latest calendar for Landmark Forum’s introductory session in your city. You will be able to take your life to the next level participating in the Landmark Forum training programs.

omg...with the absolutely vital first point to stop fucking spreading info around without fact-checking--this means fast-reblogging screenshotted tweets, and no it doesn't matter if it's .webp or if it has a citation you didn't bother to check (as I have personally learned the hard way, by making the same mistakes)--it absolutely would not be "insane" if those universities which held forums to "address student concerns about I/P" contained plain-clothes informants from law enforcement and/or AIPAC. "Keeping an eye" on radical student groups and forums has been a documented U.S. law enforcement tactic since even before the formation of the Black Panthers.
Sorry, and I'll reiterate that I am speaking from my own mistakes here, but your willful activism illiteracy is showing.
