You know, I was searching the web for Na'vi hair styles for my Alma fic i have going for inspiration but than i found more than expectation so...
it seems right to fill the Frointers of Pandora tag with these beauties.
The author links are below to check out and such and please do if you haven't already; it's a must for BTS stuff of the game.
Tumblr media
So'lek!! bc you don't see much with his chest gear on! Hot.
Tumblr media
Eetu for you thirsty birds
Tumblr media
Alma!!! my fav character. Again, you don't see skin around her neck bc she has that neck scalf Did you see the scar on her right cheek under her eye? Where did that come from?
Also, what colour would you call her eyes? I'd say brown but there's an odd contract to them. Were they going for a light brown?
Tumblr media
Here's some Colonel Harding with all her scars. Kinda hot, even if she's a horrible person. This under-the-collar stuff is kinda useful for my fics tho 😉
Also, i really like her eyes! Such a dark blue which you don't see as often on poc characters. Maybe it's a recessive gene that's active in her character's Lore?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Honestly, i'm glad to see more of Nesim's neck bc it's hard when trying to do any art with her, finding the proportions of her neck with her Zeswa collared chest guard... painful.
Also... she's stunning! Minang too!
Tumblr media
You know, I hate Nor's headpiece with a severe passion. I personally don't think it suits him; far too big. If it was smaller, it'd be fine but it covers up most of his head. Plus, he's not a clan leader so it's odd.
So i threw that in so you see what Nor looks like without that decor!

He smiled as Ri’nela walked out with the crying baby in her hands. “Having trouble?”
She glared at him, eyes tired and voice even more so as she replied, “Neither So’lek nor I can get her to stop crying. Nothing we have done works.”
“Want me to try?” he offered, holding out his arms and Ri’nela didn’t even hesitate, placing the baby in his arms; he bounced her, looking down at her. “Now, why do you want to cry for your sa'nokä tsmukan? Sa’nok has fed you. You have slept. Why do you cry?” he wiggled his fingers in her tummy, smiling as she hiccupped midway through a cry and began to giggle. “There, now we are laughing.” He turned and walked off, one arm secured under her while he used the other to greet members of their clan, all of them smiling at their olo’eyktan holding the small child.
Ri’nela stared at his back and as So’lek walked up behind her, she remarked, “I hate him.”
So’lek gave a tired snort at that. “Why is that?”
“He’s always been good with children. Even when we were back at TAP. Teylan would not stop crying and no matter what any of us did, we could not calm his spirit. But him, he would crawl into Teylan’s bunk with him, hug him, and he’d stop crying instantly.” She scowled at his back. “I hate him.”
So’lek wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her close, as he whispered in her ear, “Let us be happy that he has managed to cease her endless crying.”
She melted against him, tiredly watching with a gentle smile as Eetu walked over to his mate and tried to stick his fingers in the baby’s tummy, only to have his mate slap at his hand and glare. The two glared at one another, gesturing wildly, and the baby girl giggled the entire time.
“Yes,” she murmured. “Perhaps we should be happy then.” She looked up into her mate’s eyes, a soft gaze meeting her own, and she smiled, feeling her heart warm in her chest.
“You are so beautiful,” So’lek murmured, brushing his fingers along her neck. “So very beautiful.”
She opened her mouth, intent to express her love, only for her to hear, “Ri’nela! Eetu and I are taking Zìtxyo on an ikran ride!”
“NO!”

Frontiers of Pandora story review ✨
BEWARE! Heavy spoilers ahead.
Tumblr media
Alright, since I don’t see people talking about this game as much as I’d want on my socials, I decided to put together a little review where I talk about the story, what spoke to me, as well as some critiques.
To summarise my opinion; I love it! The story knows where it’s taking place and takes advantage of it. It covers dark topics and succeeds in staying as serious in tone as the movie franchise, which makes the campaign feel like it truly belongs in the world of Pandora.
To speak more in-depth; the plot of a Na’vi residential school had me hooked from the first moment. I think residential schools that native children were forced into are a topic not talked about often enough, so I appreciated the developers and writers bringing awareness to such facilities, even if it’s in sci-fi form. reconnecting with Na’vi heritage that was stolen from the main character and their family is executed quite well, as playing frontiers lets you get immersed into the feeling of exploration and discovery. The player is as un-knowledgeable about the world around them as the protagonist, and being able to experience new connections, abilities, places, stories and traditions side-by-side with them has been an amazing ride.
The different Na’vi cultures shown in the game are written organically. They each possess an intricate fashion based on their values, environment and history, but that is not all. Every clan has a cast of characters, bigger or smaller, who bring further life into the western frontier, help expand on the lore and provide entertainment. My personal favourites of these characters have to be Nefika and Kin, both elderly Na’vi with a welcoming presence and charm. Second to them come Eetu and Okul!
Then there is the main cast, which is MC, their three found family siblings, a.k.a the surviving Sarentu children, So’lek, Alma and Priya. We consistently stay in contact with them, both as part of the campaign and as part of our explorations, sharing experiences with them. The protagonist character is righteous, brave and endlessly adorable in their reactions to the world around them, and the trio of Sarentu forever have a place in my heart. I liked the concept of each one of the Sarentu children representing a different reaction to their past abuse and toxic relationship with John Mercer.
Nor, who had most luxury of remembering his life before being taken by the RDA, tries to distance himself as far as possible from everything human, and progressively adopts an antagonistic mindset towards his human allies, as well as a growing feeling of resentment and vengeance. I do not blame him for it and I believe it makes sense. After him comes Ri’nela, who, during Mercer’s captivity, tried staying out of sight but protecting her siblings where she could. Without Mercer, she feels insecure, constantly stumbling and at first, regularly looks guidance from Alma. She beats herself up for things that happen to Teylan and A’hari, despite being unable to have fixed them, but eventually grows into a stronger person, being able to take on the role of a Tsahik in the clan. Lastly, there is Teylan and he has to be my favorite character in the game. His bond to Mercer is strong, as T.A.P is all he ever knew, so without John, he begins falling apart. Lack of constant control and lack of ""affection"" from Tey’s "father figure" leave him feeling ten times as insecure as Ri’nela. He has a hard time learning Na’vi ways, keeps lagging behind and ultimately sticks to technology and hacking, which is worsened by So’lek’s nagging, as he obviously doesn’t know how severe Teylan’s abuse was and simply assumes that he is "lost" in the new world. Eventually, Teylan does what many abuse victims do, and returns to his abuser. An action I kind of predicted, but which still really hit me. His voice actor did an incredible job of portraying this character and the rest of the campaign I spent praying that I’ll get to bring him back home. In the end, I’m happy he’s at home and safe. 🥹💖🫶
Now to the grown ups. I don’t have much to say about Priya, but I grew fond of her. I liked her development from an awkward girl that sparks horrific second-hand embarrassment in the viewer to a resistance member who actively puts herself in the line of fire to help her friends. I found myself getting worried for her whenever she didn’t respond or was in danger.
So’lek is a character who I was immediately fond of, and I liked his growth as well. He saw himself as completely separate from human resistance members, and his thoughts are often occupied by revenge, but he comes to care for MC, the Sarentu and eventually the humans. Seeing him protect Alma when Nor attacks her was a brilliant moment.
Lastly, there is Alma herself. A very grey character who did horrible things in the past, like leading the program side-by-side with John Mercer. I liked her development, from an aloof and seemingly supportive teacher at T.A.P, to a person that orchestrated the entire project. Her grief and guilt feel organic, and I found myself having a lot of difficult feelings about her as it is obvious she cares for the Sarentu children, but her sins cannot be forgiven. I’m happy Ri’nela made the choice to simply part ways with her in peace, instead of trying to build a new bridge.
Now, for what I believe was executed badly. It’s quite unfortunate, but the game suffers from the same problem as Avatar the way of water, only quadrupled and that is; we don’t get enough time with the characters.
It feels even worse because in comparison to the movies, games don’t have to worry about pacing or time limits. The campaign can be as long as developers wish, but it came out rushed anyway. Part of the reason I got as attached to the characters as I did was because I spent time getting emotionally invested into everything they said, their minor behavioural cues and voicelines, but not everyone is as dedicated, and those people should have the right to experience a good story as well. They shouldn’t have to seek it out between the lines.
The only characters who I felt were properly developed are Teylan and Alma. They had the most extensive arcs and their growth was tied into a nice bow. But what about Ri’nela, Nor and So’lek? Nor suffers from Metkayina syndrome gets completely scrapped shortly before the finale, So’lek only gets crumbs of growth and Ri’nela is at times forgotten about completely. Her development as a character is too off-screen and between the lines for most people to catch it, and I find that sad because she’s such a sweet character when you actually get invested into her.
In the end, Frontiers of Pandora’s story feels like a good joke with all the necessary setup but only half-delivered punchline. I had very reasonable expectations and a lot of them were not fulfilled. This project is definitely miles better than whatever Ubisoft has been releasing in these last years, but I really hope that the DLCs will expand on the story further.
Verdict on the campaign; 7 out of 10. The setup and the beginning of the story were just perfect, but in the end, the characters didn’t get the treatment they deserved. Thank you for reading.

or you could acknowledge that part of the reason people say to not use ai for stuff like this is because it is inherently bad for creative spaces by taking the place that a human artist could take. if you're so uncreative that you can't write anything, don't turn to ai. just practice. no one starts out good but using ai as a crutch is only going to hurt you and other real auhors
xoxo gossip girl
Oh no, you caught me taking requests from actual people in the fandom and writing stories they want to see. How dreadful for the creative landscape.
I’m not using AI to come up with ideas. I’m responding to fellow fans who say, “Hey, I’d love to see this,” and then I write it. That’s kind of the entire point of fandom? But sure, let’s pretend the downfall of art is me taking prompts while you gatekeep creativity from your moral high horse, quoting Gossip Girl like it’s a peer-reviewed source.
And just so we’re clear I have plenty of my own ideas, and I’ve posted quite a few. If you’d spent even five seconds looking at my actual work instead of speedrunning a Tumblr tantrum, you’d know that. But I guess facts aren’t as satisfying as moral outrage.
AI isn’t replacing human creativity. Bad takes like yours are just replacing nuance. No one’s forcing artists out of the room what is exhausting is people like you acting like technology is the end of art when it’s been part of the process forever. Photoshop didn’t kill painting. Digital art didn’t kill sketchbooks. And AI isn’t killing storytelling.
You know what does hurt creative spaces? This sanctimonious purity policing masked as concern.

Hey, pookies🥰
I need help deciding on smth..
So I’m stuck between which prompts I want to post for the rest of “romancing Pandora”, bc I was either gonna:
1. Not finish it at all and write all of the “coming soon” fics on my masterlist. (But I don’t really like this option bc I like all of the prompts and I js can’t choose one that I like the most, but I don’t wanna overwhelm myself with adding to the list of fics I need to finish)
Or 2. Write the prompts that you guys would really wanna read and then write all of the “coming soon” fics on my masterlist.
OK😭 so with that out of the way, what prompts do you guys wanna see most?

I wonder why the ikran quest was so much less violent and thrilling than what was depicted in A1 and the comics? It was kinda anti-climactic tbh.
And i still feel like the language chosen to describe the bond was too objectifying and one sided. How can an ikran "make [themselves] yours" when the bond is a sacred and mutual relationship between two equals? I digress but I expected there to be more ... ig tussle and struggle to the iknimaya?
Not necessarily just for the thrill (as there was prolly a cinematic reason for it in A1 w the ikran and A2 w the skimwing), but bc it seems it would be congruent w all the language abt it being a relationship that you have to prove urself to the ikran to earn. Even Itu/Eetu said Zomey beat his ass before their tsaheylu and all Avatar ayso'yu, or fans should remember what Neytiri said about how youll know you've been chosen if an ikran tries to kill you. They have agency and are viewed by the Na'vi as autonomous.
Perhaps it would have been too prolonged of a quest for the player if there was an overly scenic pursuit and a skirmish with a frantic wild animal to aquire one of the most advertised and anticipated aspects of the game. Im def no game designer lol. But I do care abt the lore being consistent and Avatar is proving... quite notorious for inconsistencies. Lol
But idk.... was def an interesting choice of writing and interactions. 🤔

Two moments while playing FoP that left the biggest impression on me so far:
(mild spoilers for the early MSQ and random exploration of Kinglor Forest)
The first one was during the hunting quest with Eetu. I was asked to track and hunt a sturmbeest. It was early morning and the forest was covered in mist, making things difficult to see. But I've tracked a herd and started sneaking up on them when suddenly a huge Stormglider swooped in and landed some distance before me. Except I didn't know what a Stormglider is at that point, so my first thoughts were "I thought this game was supposed to NOT have toruk in it! WHAT IS THAT?!". Anyway, the creature scared away the sturmbeests, but thankfully didn't attack me and flew away. I'm not sure if it was specifically scripted to happen at this point or if it was a totally random encounter, but definitely an 'oh shit' moment!
The second was when I was randomly flying around and exploring. I've noticed some dead animals on the river's shore and no visible pollution nearby, so I landed to investigate. Upon going further into the small island I noticed I can't used my Na'vi senses. I've also started hearing something like a heartbeat. Going deeper, the heartbeat got faster and faster and suddenly I was standing eye to eye with a Palulukan. It noticed me and jumped at me before I could even grab my bow, killing me instantly. Still not sure what it was all about and if dead animals were actually even connected with it, but it was a little terrifying.
All in all I was supposed to move on with the MSQ today and instead got sucked into exploring the forest for several hours. The game is great so far!

HIIIIIIIIIIII! I have a Eetu request just for you 💙
Eetu is seeing someone he likes, and to impress her, Eetu offers to give the reader a flight on his ikran but! She's scared of heights so he coaxes her into flying with him
Thank you and enjoy writing! 💙💙💙
Tumblr media
Title: Hold On to Me
Pairing: Eetu x fem!Na’vi!Reader
Word Count: ~1,300
Genre: Fluff, Crush-to-Slow Burn, Comfort, “I’ve Got You” Energy
Rating: T / Teen (for soft romantic tension and emotional vulnerability)
Aged-Up Character: All characters are of age for the tone and context of this story.
Synopsis:
Eetu’s had a crush on you for as long as he can remember but it’s hard to confess that when you’re cooler than him and don’t like flying.
Still, he tries to impress you with some aerial stunts. He tries to be smooth.
And when that all flops, he just asks: Would you trust me to take you up there?
You’re terrified.
But you’re also holding his hand.
Maybe this time, flying won’t feel like falling.
It was supposed to impress you.
That was the whole plan.
Eetu had spent the entire morning practicing aerial turns on his ikran, making sharp dives just to prove he could. He liked flying, sure but he wasn’t doing loops for fun. Not today.
He did it because you were watching, sitting on the edge of the cliff with your legs folded beneath you, pretending to weave while clearly sneaking glances skyward.
He landed with a grin, chest heaving, trying not to look too winded as he dismounted.
“Not bad, right?” he said, walking over like it was no big deal.
You blinked up at him, calm as ever. “You’re showing off.”
He scratched the back of his neck, grinning. “Maybe a little.”
There was a pause.
Then, because he was stupidly brave when it came to you, he said, “Want to go for a ride?”
Your fingers stilled mid-weave.
“I mean,” he added quickly, “on the ikran. With me. Just a short flight.”
You stared at him. “Eetu…”
He waited. Hoped.
You looked… not excited. Not shy. Not even flattered.
You looked tense.
“I don’t like flying,” you said softly.
He blinked. “You … wait, you’re scared?”
Your ears flicked. “It’s not fear. I just… don’t like being high up. It feels wrong.”
Eetu’s ears drooped a little.
Of course. Leave it to him to plan the worst possible romantic gesture.
But then you added, quietly, “I’ve never done it. Not really.”
He tilted his head. “You’ve never flown at all?”
“Only once. As a child. I cried the whole time.”
His heart ached a little at the image. Tiny you, clinging to a rider in terror. No wonder you never tried again.
Still… he couldn’t stop the words from coming out.
“Want to try with me?”
You gave him a look. “Were you listening?”
He stepped closer. “I promise, I’d never drop you. You’d be with me the whole time. Not too high. Just enough to feel the wind.”
You hesitated.
He reached for your hand.
“I won’t laugh. I won’t let go. And if you say no, I won’t ask again. I just thought… maybe it would feel different if you weren’t alone.”
You stared at his hand.
Then, finally, you let out a soft, shaky breath and took it.
“Okay,” you whispered. “But if you try to do a flip or something”
“I swear I won’t,” he said, smiling as he led you toward his ikran. “This one’s for you. No stunts.”
Mounting was awkward your hands trembled even before you left the ground but Eetu talked you through every step. He climbed up first, then helped you swing up behind him.
“Hold on tight,” he murmured, guiding your arms around his waist.
You clung.
Tighter than necessary, maybe, but he didn’t complain.
The ikran gave a sharp cry and launched skyward.
You let out a squeak a sound that might’ve been funny if it hadn’t made Eetu’s heart lurch.
He kept the flight slow, gentle, rising just above the trees. The wind tugged at your hair. Your breath came fast and shaky, your grip like iron around his ribs.
But slowly… slowly…
You loosened.
Not much. But enough to look down. Enough to stop shaking.
Eetu twisted slightly to glance at you over his shoulder. “You okay?”
You nodded. Eyes wide, but less panicked.
“It’s… beautiful,” you admitted.
His heart kicked.
“You’re doing amazing,” he said, voice low and steady.
“I feel like I’m going to die.”
“But you look amazing doing it.”
You let out a soft, nervous laugh and that, more than anything, made him feel like the flight was worth it.
After a few laps, he brought the ikran into a gentle glide and circled back toward the cliff. As you touched down, your legs felt wobbly, but you didn’t fall.
Eetu helped you down and didn’t let go of your hand until you were steady.
“You alright?” he asked again.
You looked at him and to his surprise, you smiled.
“…Maybe I liked it. A little.”
He grinned, ears perking. “Yeah?”
You gave him a long, thoughtful look. “You’re very lucky I like you.”
His heart did somersaults. “Oh?”
You leaned in, just enough for your forehead to brush his.
“Because otherwise, I’d never be doing something that insane.”
He laughed, low and happy, and leaned a little closer. “Does that mean you’ll try it again sometime?”
You kissed his cheek light as a whisper and murmured:
“Only if it’s with you.”
Author’s Note:
This story started with a single visual: someone who’s terrified of flying, and someone who’s absolutely in love with them saying, “Let me be your wings.”
Eetu is such a soft-hearted character in my mind someone who masks nervousness with charm, but who really shines when he’s caring for someone else. And this reader? She’s strong in a quiet way.
This is for anyone who’s ever felt scared of taking a leap, but trusted someone enough to try.
