Petersburg Secondary

I’m not positive of the location here, but I believe it to be Ashby Yard in Petersburg, Indiana. I had shot a few pictures at the Algiers, Winslow & Western just prior to this, which I would assume to have been in Oakland City, and Petersburg would be on the way home from there.

In any case I love the ex-Pennsy crummy here along with an interesting old passenger car turned into a company building, an office perhaps. The line is Conrail at this date, but it’s lineage going back in time is Penn Central, New York Central, Big Four, and the Evansville, Indianapolis & Terre Haute Railroad. It was built along the old Wabash & Erie Canal.

#gordon freeman #alyx vance #half life #half life 2 #idoindeeddraw #ponderingradioactivedecay #i dunno i just think about the hug scene at the beginning of ep1 alot #cuz like canonically speaking this is the first time we see gordon be touched by someone without the intention to harm him #like alyx is like the person gordon is closest to throughout all the games #and like i imagine gordon to be like in general really uncomfortable with physical touch in general and can really only tolerate it with #people he really trusts and is close to like rally close to like even with his parents he struggled with touch and affection #but everything in the games just decimates his ability to tolerate touch at all #like if u touch him with enormous forewarming ur likely to comeaway with a few broken bones at the very least #lik ei really liked this one scene in resonant crowbar series where gordon guts a medic who didnt know to get forewarning before sticking #him witha medpack #like that scene rocked #so back to this scene in th eep #that bried moment of purely relieved affection on layxs part and the sudden physical contact was prob just so overwhelming for gordon #but he trusts alyx so much so damn much by this point that its almost tolerable #and it for just a second leaves him missing it when its over...#it just reminds him that hes a person befor ehe can reel himself back in to be a weapon and that moment hurts more than anything #god now i wanna write that scene #tho in my funny canon he technically had a brief hug with barney but its still different #cuz there he broke the hug himself he couldnt handle it and after he didnt even want to touch barney again he couldnt have handled it #but with alyx he didnt want it to end even if itdve kill edhim and caused him to crumble he missed being that close to someone #i dunno i just #i love that scene and i love alyx so much but god i have no idea how to write her :(((#i want to write her so bad and ive started multiple things that ahve her in it but i just dont know here #maybe i should try something from her pov that prob help #figure out her head and voice before i try anything else

it took me 200 years but I finally understand why there are no new Electro Visions given out...

#* . ⊹ 𝑇𝐻𝑂𝑈𝐺𝐻𝑇𝑆 𝑂𝐹 𝐿𝐼𝐺𝐻𝑇𝑁��𝑁𝐺 › ooc .#and the reason has been obvious but not so obvious! having neuvillette though.. it certainly helped me get to that knowledge #so! .. basically why there are no new electro visions is because the authority over electro was inherited by the shogun puppet!#it's no longer in the hands of ei given she had given up her physical form. and without her physical form new visions cannot be manifested!#so. in a way.. she acchieved what she envisioned with reaping away visions! and then she continued to take them away from people to stop #the wheels of fate from going any further. which is what her eternity was! it is in the single still moment that wouldn't move them further #in fortuna's plans.. but in the end we learn an important lesson. that humans are stronger than their gods #and they have the power to resist fate perhaps. or to turn against fortuna in some capacity. which is probably why khaenri'ah was decimated #in the first place! so ei effectively discontinued Electro visions being given out after creating her prototype and unknowingly made him th #part of the fortuna's plan.. damn! ;;; also its very interesting how we thought inazuma's arc wasn't good but with each another region #introduced we got to decipher the true meaning of ei's plans towards her people and her nation. which.. is super ironic. but i'm glad

her girlfriend’s anger had been unexpected and had the mayor reeling at would could possibly be going on. the look from ruby had only solidified that she wasn’t hallucinating, and that the waitress was just as surprised as she. “excuse me, ruby.” she cautiously moved from her stool and towards the back room where emma had stormed to. “em?” she furrowed her brow, her hand reaching out for the blonde’s her other pushing the door shut. “what’s going on?”

Her girlfriend’s confusion only amplified her annoyance at how intentionally ignorant the brunette was being. “Cut the crap, Regina” she hissed, unable to keep her voice completely in check. “I know about Ruby, and what can I say I can’t exactly blame you, I’m hardly competition in comparison, but could you have at least had the decency to tell me we’re through before moving on?” The words just came out without pause or room for breath. She refused to cry in front of Regina, but the anger continued to bubble inside her and threatened to leak from her eyes if she didn’t get away soon. But she needed to hear the truth from her girlfriend before she left for good.
