I keep thinking about how laura lee should have lived just to see how she would have interreacted with the cult stuff and the cannibalism. She was so sure that lottie was almost like a prophet and it would have been so interesting to see how far that faith in her would have gone. Especially since they have set up lottie being the leader but natalie being the one to keep them alive and get out dynamic.

on the one hand, I'm glad the show is willing to kill important characters when push comes to shove. on the other, Laura Lee's particular faith made her fulfill a role I'm not sure any of the other ~faithful can, at least not yet or not quite in as fascinating a way as she might have (christianity is always its own brand of insane and the culty nature of usa christianity could've led to interesting places lol).

however, going into season two and Full Cult Mode, I wonder if they'll be aiming to say something with her absence, iykwim. I don't see it as clearly as with Jackie, whose (physical) removal from the narrative obviously adds to it; after all, she had a bigger part than Laura. but I'd say, once they've made the choice to kill her, the best thing would be to have that made some sort of difference into How Things Could've Gone (If Laura Was Here). my guess is that the best way to assess this would be taking a really close look at Lottie's upcoming storyline, since Laura Lee had the biggest impact on her.

What do you think about Shauna's daughter? I know last season I thought she was going to join the present day cult and be the girl we saw being chased into the the trap. But now we have seen what Lotties been up to I dont think they will kill her but I think she will sign up with them after everything that's been going on with that family.

I think I've seen references to that theory around...

to be honest, I just haven't thought much about Callie lol. part of it is what comes with binge-watching instead of following the show week by week, as I'll start doing from now on. the other part is that she doesn't awaken my curiosity (at least not yet) nearly as much as our 90s girls do.

So was Ziggy the only survivor because Nick used the curse (which allows his family to get everything they want) to save her? And thats why she was the only survivor and didn't end up like Sam?

That does seem to be the consensus, yes!

Nick basically raised Ziggy from the dead because of his family's deal with the Devil. I'm assuming just him trying to save her was enough for the magic to kick in and bring her back - since he wanted CPR to work, it worked, because the Goodes always get what they want. CPR wouldn't have worked at all otherwise, given how serious Ziggy's wounds were. So, at that point, Nick essentially brought Ziggy over to the Goode family's side of the bargain, at least in terms of that night in 1978. It seemed like an unrealistic error at the end of 1978, but it was actually another clue! I dig it.

But in terms of why Sam ended up possessed, I'm still puzzling that out. Sarah didn't do it, so it must've been the bad guys. I think the short answer is that the Devil (or at least, the curse) possessed Sam to try to stop Deena from figuring everything out.

The Shadyside Killers were always the Devil's minions (and, by extension, the Goode family's,) not Sarah Fier's. But Sarah did curse the Goode family in her own way, before she was hanged. She promised Solomon Goode that the truth would follow him forever.

So whenever someone's blood got in contact with a part of Sarah's remains, they would see glimpses of what happened to Sarah in 1666, clues that could (and eventually do) lead to the Goode's misdeeds being brought to light. I think the Devil must have also somehow been aware of this, though, because whenever one of the characters saw those visions, they became the new target of the Shadyside Killers. Specifically, their blood. Somehow, Sarah's curse against Solomon and the Goode bargain are linked to each other.

So I think it's like two curses pushing up against each other, battling it out. Sarah made sure the truth would come out, while the Goode family and the Devil's Shadyside Killers do everything they can to stop that from happening. the punisher - 7, 24, 29 ??

7.Most innocent ship Is there an innocent ship here?? lol. I guess Frank x Karen could be innocent depending on how you spin it...? But it’s not a word I associate with anyone on this show xD

Favourite crossover ship Hmmm, none that I’ve ever seen any actual fics/edits, but Dinah x Kisa (from dusk till dawn), because I love the idea of Kisa within The Punisher ever since I saw a pic of Jon and Eiza together and I think Frank and Kisa could be good friends/f-ck buddies, but Kisa and Dinah would be epic. Second favorite would be Frank x Rosita (the walking dead) because I am obsessed with Shane/Rosita (i’m weird i know), so why not The punisher zombie au with Frank meeting Rosita? ;)

Thoughts on Grey’s Anatomy: 15X19

This week’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy was powerful. It was not what I expected and it handled and delivered on the topics of consent and rape really well. Every woman should have the support that Abby did in this episode. Camilla Luddington and Khalilah Joi, who played Abby, did a phenomenal job. As did Michelle Forbes who played Jo’s birth mother Vicki Ann Rudin. Kim Raver gave a great performance as well. Elisabeth R. Finch did a beautiful job writing this episode and Debbie Allen did an amazing job directing it. 

The hallway scene and the wall of women that supported Abby in the hallway, in the elevator, in the OR, in the exam room, and after was amazing. It moved me to tears. It made me cry. I love how Jo used her own horrible experience to help Abby through her pain. I loved how Teddy supported them and was firm and clear and comforting when she told Abby this was not her fault and could not be her fault. The way Qadri choked up, but stayed strong to help Abby was amazing. Women supporting women. We need more of this in life. 

The scenes with Jo and her birth mother were so hard to watch. It’s painful that so many women go through what Jo and Vicki and Abby have been through. This is an important conversation that we need to have. Another thing I loved about this episode is the scenes with Ben, Bailey, and Tuck. I love that Ben stepped up, as he has in the past, and reminded Bailey that she is not a single parent and that she is not alone and that he is here to help parent Tuck and support her. 

I love that he offered to talk to Tuck about dating the same way his Dad did with him. I loved their conversation. The way he phrased it and made Tuck repeat it back to him to make sure he understood was perfect. Everyone needs to have this conversation with their children of all genders. It’s so important. I love also that he said what he needed to say, made sure Tuck understood and would be respectful, and then brought it back around to ‘tell me how great the girl you like is’. I loved that. So well done. 

The police force in my own city, that I love for so many things, has an atrocious track record when it comes to believing and helping survivors, especially women. They often label, historically and today, label cases of clear rape and sexual assault as unfounded because they don’t want to deal with it or help. Or they side with the attackers after a simple phone call. These include cases involving 12 year girls and women who were raped and there was independent impartial medical evident collected at the hospital that proved it. 

As I said last week, I really feel that the second half of Season 15 has gone off the rails. It has in so many ways, but in the midst of all that there is this episode. It will go down as one of Grey’s Anatomy’s best. One thing in particular that I am glad that they showed is what is involved with a rape test kit and evidence collection. In most TV Shows they say that they’re going to do it, but they don’t show it. Or they just take one swab of something. This showed what millions of women every day who choose to have the tests done really go through and how horrible it is. It’s so important to show this and let the truth be known. 

Next week’s episode certainly looks interesting! A little bit lighter too. I’m glad to see that Megan and Meredith are still friends. I love the joy with which they embrace in the promo. Women supporting women. More of this please! I’m curious as to why she didn’t tell Teddy and Owen that she was coming. I’m guessing she brings the patient with her and that her and Meredith have been corresponding about the patient’s care. 

It also looks like Catherine’s stepping back into the OR for the first time since her surgery and recovery. You know there will be drama there. Meanwhile, it looks like Jo is still not ready to talk to Alex about what she found out. Alex is worried so he asks Link if she’s talk to him. In response Link goes to see Jo at home and asks what happened. It looks like Jo confides in Link. I really hope they handle this well and Link is a supportive friend and finds a way to help Jo through this.
