Rain

Shippo looked up at the tall man that had unceremoniously placed him down, "Did you just spit on me?"

Sesshomaru's brow furrowed, "Tch, who do you take me for kit?"

Kagome's head jerked upwards, "I think that was a rain drop."

Not two seconds later, the sky opened up. Kagome quickly leaned over little Rin, "MAMA I THINK IT WAS RAIN!"

The heavy roar of the sudden rain storm muffled her laughing at her boy. She tugged at her shirt desperately, trying to keep the little ones dry as she herded them under the thicker tree line.

Her eyes darted about, heavy with raindrops, "Where's Sesshomaru?!"

This prompted Shippo to come from beneath her, the basket on his head. His eyes spotting the demon easier, "Hey! SESSHOMARU!" He waved his little arm, "Over here!"

He scurried back to Kagome, "Should we wait?"

Shippo shook his tail, "Wait here, Mama."

"Wait, Shippo," but the boy quickly bounded back into the heavy rain.

Quickly running towards the tall silver beacon that was the elder, Sesshomaru. "Sesshomaru," he shouted, "What are you standing here for?!"

He lifted the side of his pelt, the boy quickly clinging to his leg. His gleaming yellow eyes narrow, "The humans."

He peeked up at him, "Forget them! Mama will keep waiting for you- AND ME! So we NEED to find shelter!"

The rain was not going to relent. He dipped quickly, scooping up the boy and tucking him into his large pelt. He found her easily. She was soaked, "Come, a storm approaches." She nodded, glancing over his shoulder when his hand took her elbow, "Quickly."

She walked as quickly as she could, given the odd angle she kept to keep Rin as dry as she could.

He should have stopped her. Taken it upon himself to shelter them. But she continued her silly antics to keep the children in high spirits. Only hearing their laughter and the harsh rain.

She was a good mother.

Did he admire her for that?

Hehehe, just Kagome walking like a duck to protect her lil' chickies. 🦆🐤🐤 and Sesshomaru being like shit that's cute 🫣💕

Aaaand I’ve actually sent these off to get printed now!  proofs aprooved and just waiting on them being made and shipped... which, isprobably still a while away.  I’m using it as an oportunity to try out a new keychain distributer, so we’ll see how that goes.

Tbh I kept telling myself if I didn't spoil it entirely on here that there was a chance I'd come back to it, but its been 5 years. Last time I wrote, I was 18. Now I'm 23, in college and on my way to pursuing my passion. I think it might be time to let it go. (Especially since the show kinda fell off after season 2 in my opinion, like, what was season 4???? I didn't even finish it I got so mad) so for you, dearest reader, I went digging.

Gun liking Tinn first in My School President makes sense when you remember that Gun recognised Tinn when he went into his mother’s shop on the day of Tinn’s birthday, and gave him a shaved ice ‘as a treat’. I get the feeling Gun may be a late bloomer in regards to understanding those feelings, but Tinn was certainly on his radar, and he recognised that Tinn needed someone to make him feel special, even if he wasn’t aware it was his birthday.

(But that particular spot needs to be updated bc it's been a hell of a long time since I updated it and things have changed since) Art: I use a pencil sometimes when I'm so inspired. Last night my partner and I were excited to watch the new Umbrella Academy season, but it's been so long we don't remember what happened.

This show is so bonkers we were both still confused even after the recap at the start of the episode.

“I told you it wasn’t silly!” Marinette laughed as she scrambled for the black umbrella she’d been carting around all day.  The overcast sky had finally given way, drenching the city below in the sudden downpour.  “Aren’t you glad I’m always pre…”

A sudden gust of wind ripped it from her hands, bending it back in a tatter of fabric and wires.  It spun violently in the air before landing in the street, where a bus sped past, finishing the job as it crushed Adrien’s old umbrella under its wheels.

“…pared,” Marinette whispered, numb.  Something in the back of her mind whispered about the universe and signs, which felt all the more definite when another car sped over the umbrella’s tattered remains.

…it was time, wasn’t it?

“I’ve got you,” Luka’s warm voice said in her ear, and the rain was suddenly lessened as he held his jacket over them.  She wasn’t sure if the shiver that raced through her was from his proximity or the chill of the rain.  “C’mon – the bakery’s right over there.  Let’s get inside.  I’ve got you.”

Marinette’s heart warmed at that, her stomach fluttering.
