Scene from canon from Emma's perspective: tricking Cassandra Nova into Stuff's body.

The situation was dire - to say the least. Present at Westchester despite her better judgment, Emma watched from a safe distance the situation with Cassandra unfold. Her only concern were the girls. Her girls. Made from her ova without her knowledge, the five girls stirred something inside of the cold White Queen.

An instinct even the Hellions didn't manage to fully awaken in her. The seeds of her caring for the children was there from the moment she started teaching her dear Hellions, however they had been students and not her actual children. She felt similarly towards the students Sean and herself taught together.

The Cuckoos. She missed years of the girls' lives, and she intended to not miss another minute. The growing threat to the school was a headache she could do without.

When she was presented with Stuff - and scanned its primitive, wired for learning brain - a plan started to form in the darkest, deepest recesses of her mind. Could not risk the Mummudrai occupying the brain of Charles catching a stray thought from the highly guarded White Queen, so she locked the plan in the mental safe with her most protected memories.

A few stern words of warning to the girls (stay out of trouble, if I don't come back, do not come for me or any of the other teachers) and she set off to present Stuff to Cassandra's genetic material so it could take her shape, mimic her cells perfectly.

The safe of her mind got reinforced when she turned into her diamond form. She couldn't feel emotions but she should not be vulnerable to psychic attacks in this form. Furthermore, her diamond form was stronger than her flesh-and-bones form, and she could argue, if asked, that carrying a grown woman was easier without muscle fatigue. A likely excuse for her use of her secondary mutation.

Arguing with Cassandra, presenting her with honeyed lies that the parasite wanted to believe, and ultimately tricking her was easier than Emma anticipated.

People saw Emma through the lens of the past - even though she had started her uphill battle against her own selfish instincts years before right after the Hellions were annihilated by Fitzroy - and not through her actions of the present.

She expected that and played with it. Pretending to betray her new associates was easy when they already expected her to. It stung her ego and spat in the face of all her efforts, but she focused on the usefulness of Hank's reaction in selling her lies to the bald cunt.

Hopefully what came next would help the X-Men see beyond their own prejudices and biases. It would be the least they could do as people actively fighting against the prejudices mutantkind faced every day.

Cassandra's essence slipped into the body in her arm, and she sighed a breath of relief. A split second of vertigo, which Emma dismissed as a sign of the pressure and anxiety easing up (little did she know that Cassandra used that split second to implant fake memories of Genosha into her brain, the conniving cur) and she set the body of Stuff, now trapping Cassandra, down onto the first available surface.

Charles stepped on his own two legs - and Emma lost all interest in the situation. Her girls were safe. She protected the children. Diamond turned to flesh, and high, expensive heels clicked on the hard floors as she walked away. Let Jean and Charles deal with the aftermath, she did what she set out to do.

She didn't care if anyone called out after her. She was going to see her girls, and reassure them that the coast was now clear. The ghost of a smile floated on her lips - she may be mother material after all. If only she could find someone (Scott?) who would let her in, and make her want to settle. But those were idle thoughts better explored at a later time.

You stare up at the ceiling. Eyes wide open. Fidgeting away. 

It’s three in the morning. But you are not sleepy at all. Even after a solid twelve hour afternoon shift. 

Oh, you should add more carrots into the twin’s lunch box….

You started making a mental listing of what you need to get from the grocery store tomorrow. Maybe that will tire your brain out and finally get some sleep. 

That wallpaper is peeling off slightly beside the window… need to get Simon to fix that.. 

Is Johnny and Emma coming over for lunch this Sunday?

Crap the electricity bill is due soon….

Ok, this isn’t working. Your mind is even more stimulated with all these questions and a list of chores in your head. 

Tucking yourself into the armchair beside the fireplace you just rekindled, armed with a generous mug of hot chocolate ( and maybe with a sneaky dash of whisky in it ) you set yourself about getting back into the historical romance novel you started a year ago but never had the time to finish. 

Turn to the left, fluffing up the pillow. Nope. Not helping either. You knew that extra cup of coffee after lunch wasn’t such a good idea.

Letting out a sigh, you finally accepted that you weren’t going to get any sleep that night.

Swinging your leg over the side of the bed, you shuffle towards the lounge chair beside the window, grabbing the hand knit throw over blanket Gaz made for you last winter. Draping it over your shoulder, and quietly slipping out of the room, without waking Simon up, down towards the kitchen. 

The heavy footsteps become more frantic, and you hear room doors opening and closing, and the person in question is running down the staircase. 

Barely three pages in, you heard stomping noise coming from the bedroom upstairs.

You set the book down,looking up, frowning. Is one of the twins awake? But the noise sounds like it’s coming from your shared bedroom with your husband. 

The next second, you saw Simon, shoulders uptight, breathing erratically, with tears streaming down his face. As soon as he spotted you curling up in the armchair, his beautiful brown eyes widened. Mixture of panic and relief evident in his eyes. Your heart aches at the sight. 

Simon calls out to you. Voice quivering, like a scared little child. 

Extending your hands, silently asking him what he needs.

He stares at you for the moment, before slowly moving towards you, kneeling down on both knees, enveloping his large, warm hand around yours.

“… Just want to feel you. Knowing you are here.” He whispered in a deep rumbling voice, tinged with sadness. “That you are real.” his voice broke into a sob. “ That you are alive.”

“ Oh love…” You immediately knew he had one of his nightmares again.  Flash back to the bombing incident. Death of his mother and brother’s family.

“I woke up, I couldn’t find you, you weren’t there in bed, I thought the worst…” grabbing onto your hands tighter as he poured out his fear, “I thought I failed you… Just like I failed my family… I got you killed.. And the twins.. The team…” He buried his face into your lap, trying hard to control his emotion.

It pains you to see him in such a vulnerable state. A side he never shows. Not even to his most trusted team mate.

But here, in front of you, he’s not the ruthless, fearsome Ghost.

Here, he is just Simon Riley, your companion, beloved husband. The men you trust with all your life.

And he loves and trusts you enough to pour his heart and fear out to you. Laying it bare. 

Pulling him up to a stand, giving him a kiss on the lip. “Come on, you should get some rest.”

Leaning forward you place a kiss on the back of his head, whispering into his ears, trying to reassure him, “I am here love. I am not going anywhere…” pulling one of your hands out from his grasp, you stroke his hair lightly, “You haven’t failed us. You saved my life that day. Both of us came home safe and sound to the children and the team at the end, right?”

Cupping his face and lifting his head up, you smiled gently, “It’s all behind us now Simon.” 

“You're not coming to bed with me?”  He asked in a small voice. 

Looking at the fireplace, “I can’t leave it burning overnight. Besides, I couldn’t sleep anyway, that’s why I am down here, reading a book.” pointing to the book and drink, abandoned on the side table. 

“Can I stay with you?”

That is how the twins found the two of you the next morning, sleeping on the lounge, wrapped up in thick blankets, with you cocooned in Simon’s embrace, with a contented smile on both of your faces. 

The sweet twins woke both you and Simon up, with simple breakfast and tea all ready on the table for both of you.

A ─ After care. Do they take care of each other after sex ? How ?

Regina is a cuddler if it's not a quickie so she'll want to cuddle and be affectionate even after sex. So she'll likely test the waters to see if Chris is receptive or wants to be left alone to get up. She's not going to be upset either way so long as sometimes she is allowed to cuddle. If Chris always gets up and goes out to smoke every time, she'll start to wonder if it's something she's doing wrong.

B ─ Breeding. Is this one of their kinks ? Do they often have unprotected sex ? Have they ever had any pregnancy scares ?

It is absolutely not one of their kinks. Or it's not one of Regina's. As for the other two, protection isn't much needed because pregnancy isn't an option for Regina, and last she knew, two women couldn't make a child. So there's no need for it. So no pregnancy scares.

C ─ Condoms. Do they use them ?  Do they have a preference ( color, flavour, etc… ) ? Have they ever had an accident ?  Would they continue anyway, if they’ve forgotten/run out of them ?

No. No need for them.

Regina hasn't really had any dreams about Chris other than the bad dream here and there upon first meeting her. She had a lot of dreams back then about Emma taking Henry from her forever.

E ─ Experimenting. Are they willing to experiment new things ?  Is there something they’d like to try with their partner, but haven’t had the chance yet ?  Any experiments gone wrong ?

Regina is willing to experiment to a degree. She won't experiment with butt stuff. Ever. That is definitely off the table. She'd like to touch Chris more, but only if that was okay with her. She would never do anything Chris wasn't comfortable with. She would never push or do anything to break that trust.

F ─ First time. How was their first time together ?  Was any of them nervous ?  Did it live up to their expectations ?

The first time together had Regina nervous as hell. She didn't know if she was dreaming or what was real. She wanted it so badly, but her emotions were overwhelming. She had to take several shaky breaths and slow Chris down from time to time to regain her footing. In the end, it was one of the most memorable moments she's ever had with a partner. And at the time, she wasn't sure what was going to happen after. And that it made it terrifying, but she didn't want to not take the moment when it came.

G ─ Games. Do they play any games involving sex  ( like adult board games, throwing dice to decide what’s their next position, engaging in roleplay, food play, etc… ) ?

Regina doesn't like to play games where human emotions and sexual encounters are occurring. She would rather keep her eye on the prize and her mind in the moment.

H ─ Humour. Are they the kind to share a laugh during sex ?  Has something funny already happened to them ( breaking the bed, one of them falling off the couch, funny noises, etc… ) ?

Regina would definitely share a laugh if something happened like one of them fell off the bed or whatever surface they were having sex on or if the bed broke because of how vigorous they were being.

I ─ Infidelity. Has any of them ever cheated on their partner ?  Whom have they cheated with ?  If not, is it something they could do ?  If yes, have they told them or has the other found out ?  Could they forgive and forget ? 

Regina isn't a cheater, and she wouldn't put up with being cheated on. That would break her trust completely, and she's not sure if she would ever be able to move past it and trust them enough to let them in that intimately again.

J ─ Jewelry. Do they own any sexy jewelry  ( like butt plugs with rhinestones, piercings in intimate areas, cock rings, collars, etc… ) ?  What do they think about it ? 

No. There are not butt plugs. And there's no need for razzle dazzle on toys that are designed to make couples closer. She may have toys for solo play, but she's really not interested in using them with a partner. Not often anyway.

K ─ Kissing. How important are kisses in their relationship ?  Any favourite kind of kisses ?  Do they have any rituals involving kissing ( never leaving for work without kissing the other, always sharing a kiss goodnight, etc… ) ?

Kissing is very important. She needs all types of kisses. She needs the short pecks when leaving one another whether it be on the mouth or the cheek. She needs the desperate kisses when they've been apart or something traumatic has happened. She needs the slow and languid ones that are just them enjoying one another. She needs them. She craves them. They are important. Kissing goodbye is always a must. It takes a couple seconds and won't kill the other person. And it doesn't matter who is around.

L ─ Lingerie. Do they enjoy wearing it and/or seeing their partner in lingerie ?  What kind of lingerie do they find the sexiest ? Any other clothing they love seeing their partner in  ( like grey sweater pants, wearing nothing but an apron, really short shorts, etc… ) ?  Do they often wear what the other likes, just to please them ?

Regina is very much a lingerie woman. She'll wear it all day and snap teasing pics to send to Chris if the moment allows it. She likes to hide that lingerie under her business attire and only hint at it in Chris' presence to try and make her squirm when others are around. She likes to see Chris in form fitting pants and shirts. She likes to see her figure.

M ─ Masturbation. Do they engage in it ?  Together or alone ?  Do they enjoy watching their partner masturbating ?  Do they use any toys, or just their hands ?

Regina has engaged in it. Mostly when she's without a partner, so if her and Chris are actively sexual there will be no need for it unless Chris asks for her to touch herself, then she might oblige her. And she would only use her hands and her moans.

Regain would most definitely send Chris nudes. Maybe the first one would appear to be an accident, but she would know better. And would confess eventually that it was on purpose. She's very meticulous about triple checking who she is sending images to so accidents do not happen. If Chris ever sent her anything, she would not show it to anyone. And she would hope that Chris would practice the same self control and respect for Regina's privacy.

O ─ O’clock. What time do they usually have sex  ( mornings, late at night, during lunch break, etc… ) ?  Are they usually in a rush, or do they take their time ? How about on weekends / holidays ?  

The time of day varies depending on the situation and the day of the week. So there is no set time for coupling. So whenever the mood arises and it's possible for them to engage, it will and does happen.

P ─ Public. Have they ever done it in public ?  Were they caught ?  Do they have a favourite public place to do it ?

Regina has allowed it to happen in her office from time to time. They have been nearly caught a couple of times. Or maybe a couple handfuls of times. She cannot remember. Her office would be her favorite public place.

Q ─ Questions. Is there anything they’d like to ask their partner, but never had the courage to ?  Any questions they’d rather avoid ?  Do they discuss everything as a couple, or are there any taboo themes ?

Regina is never upfront and expects Chris to be the same way. If they need to take their time in answering, she's okay with that, but no topic is off the table.

R ─ Recording. Have they ever filmed themselves having sex ?  Did they watch it together afterwards ?  Has anyone else seen their videos ? 

No. That is not something that Regina would allow because it could fall in the wrong hands, and she's not okay with that.

Chris has had the walk of shame a couple times before she moved in with her and Henry when Henry came home from Emma's unexpectedly and caught her leaving the next morning. The first time Regina had an awkward breakfast with Henry that was soon assuaged when Henry told her that he was happy that she had found someone to love and care about her.

X ─ X-rated. Do they watch any x-rated movies ( porn ) ?  Together or alone ?  Do they have a favourite type ?  Do they try to reenact them afterwards ?

No. Absolutely not. There's no need for it when they have one another.

Y ─ Yucky. Is there something they find particular disgusting or unpleasant in regards to sex ? Something they’d absolutely refuse to do, even if the other really wanted it ?  Have they already denied the other some kinks because of this ? 

Butt stuff, for sure. And anything that requires bodily fluids like excrement and urine. That's a big no thank you. Completely off the table. No degradation either.

Z ─ Zones. What are their most erogenous zones ?  Does their partner know all of them ?  Do they make sure to stimulate each other in said zones ?

Regina's most erogenous zones are behind her ears where Chris kisses and breaths hotly on her neck. She's also very sensitive on her inner thighs and stomach. Chris has no problem obliging Regina's needs and desires.

She reformed herself to try and save kids, to avoid another Hellions debacle. It had varied levels of success, as humans still distrusted and hated mutants. She merely planted a suggestion, she didn't wipe anybody's mind.

some btvs-verse ships for your ask game: Spike/Drusilla, Willow/Kennedy, Buffy/Willow, Angel/Cordelia

Sprusilla: 7.5-8 they have a type of monster couple charisma and playfulness that really appeals to me! Not a full 8 only because I don’t feel that I think of them enough when they’re not on my screen to warrant it but I do love them…I tend to love the Buffyverse villain couples lol.

Willow/Kennedy: solid 5/10 I don’t have the active dislike for them or for Kennedy herself many do in fact I like Kennedy okay, but I would have preferred Willow’s next romance to be with Faith or Anya, an already fleshed out character she’d had chemistry with in the past and who had a storyline/redemption arc going on of her own with complementary themes to Willow’s, and trying to shoehorn in a new character and whole new dynamic didn’t work after how impactful Tara was. Hard indifferent ultimately. 

Buffy/Willow: currently will give them a 6.5 but this is one I’ve gotten more intrigued by romantically in recent years, and I wonder if when I get around to my next rewatch the rating will increase. I primarily love their friendship and how complex/interesting it is but I do like to muse about them having crushes on each other in the early seasons especially Willow having a crush on Buffy circa s3, and can see a basis for an s7 onwards romance, they’re also one third of my favorite Buffyverse ot3 (not counting like. the whirlwind ot4 which is in it’s own league to me as it’s basically canon) which is Buffy x Faith x Willow will say I feel more about/ am significantly more into both Faith ships in that equation but the parallels between Faith and Willow’s dynamics with Buffy are tasty for char exploration, especially through a queer lense. A lot of themes I enjoy a lot in that mix. But I will say that a reason it took me a while to warm to them as a ship compared to a lot of other f/f Buffyverse dynamics is that, with the exception of a couple distinct scenes, I don’t tend to feel SMG and Alyson’s chemistry has as much of a shippy leaning compared to how both of them play off a lot of the other actresses Eliza Charisma Amber, Amy when Willow guest stars on Ats, Alyson and Emma, SMG and Bianca or even Juliet, I think they have more chemistry than Willow and Kennedy but that bar isn’t high and idk how much of that is chemistry vs depth of emotional content. But it’s a fascinating dynamic that I can see / enjoy in a shippy way depending how it’s done. 

Cangel: 8 / 10, I love them!! It’s a testament to how well they work for me overall that they have this rating even with the Connor stuff and me knocking some points for how bad that was I think they would be even higher otherwise… one of my favorite friends to lovers tv pairings and heart breaking in the end.

It was Ludwig and Francis’s first meeting as a couple. Everyone had been well aware of their feelings long before they had confessed to each other, so hopefully, the other EU nations wouldn’t make a big deal out of it when everyone arrived. That didn’t stop Ludwig from being nervous.

When Ludwig entered the conference room, he was surprised to see Francis had arrived early. He was about to praise his lover for their initiative until he saw that Francis had switched their name tag with Emma so that they were sitting next to Ludwig instead of her.

“F-Francis, you can’t just change seats,” Ludwig stumbled despite trying to hold onto his air of authority.

Francis smirked. “You and I both know those ‘assigned seats’ are meaningless. Only you seem particular about maintaining them. We’re all friends here, so this isn’t a matter of keeping the peace. Come on Ludwig, is it too much to ask to sit next to my lover?”

Logically, Ludwig knew he should protest. Assigned seats were a sign of order, and if they lost this, what else could be lost and give way to chaos? But the way Francis looked at him, his brain short-circuited.

“What? Are you worried you’d be too distracted by my beauty to get work done?”

“N-Nein…I-I-I just…”

“Then it shouldn’t be too much trouble,” Francis mused, flipping his hair.

With a defeated sigh, Ludwig took his seat and began organizing his papers. He heard the skirt of Francis’s chair and the woosh and clicks as they moved around. Ludwig tried to remain focused on his papers.

“You work too hard,” Francis bemoaned, placing his hands on Ludwig’s stiff shoulders that only stiffened more with the touch. Francis began to knead into the tense muscles until they finally relaxed before moving to another knotted area. “And even if I do distract you, you deserve to take a load off for once. Have others step up instead of always letting the weight fall onto you.”

If Ludwig was honest, that sounded nice. But that pesky amalgamation of anxiety and perfectionism that was always whispering in his ear reared its ugly head.

“Hey, we’ve got a few minutes,” Francis whispered against his ear. It was as if they read his mind. “Just relax, I’ll take care of you.”

Ludwig licked his lips, it was as if flames were expanding under his skin with each motion of Francis’s hands. They had always had such a wonderful way with their hands. He let his eyes flutter closed, focusing only on where Francis’s hands met his clothed body.

He was so focused on Francis’s touch that he didn’t hear the door open, or the shuffling of multiple pairs of feet. Not even the shush Francis gave to the intruders seemed to reach Ludwig.

Francis’s voice, however, roused Ludwig, but not enough for him to catch each word or remind himself where he was. “Just–longer–we’ll begin–”

Ludwig wasn’t sure what was happening, but for once, he wasn’t worried about it. Francis was there. Even though Francis didn’t seem serious about most things, he knew they wouldn’t let any harm come to him if he let go, just for a few minutes.

“alright boss,” lottie announced her entrance into the other’s office, all but strutting up to their desk. “i’ve got those files you wanted, i went through and added tabs to pages that met the criteria you were looking for.” she set said files onto the desk, before pulling out her notebook as lottie sat on the arm of one of the chairs. “i also called those references and they all checked out. so i can go ahead and set up that interview for mr. kane if you want?” she looked up with a smirk, one leg crossing over the other. “are you going to be working late tonight? i can order in something, if you’d like.”
