The blessings of empty hands are lessons God has taught me for the past few months. It’s a perspective shift that we don’t see emptiness as lack but as a position to experience the glory of God ✨

When I see my empty hands...

🤲🏽 I am reminded that He can fill them with anything He desires. I pray for God to fill us with His heart's desires. Fill us with His compassion, His wisdom, His love.

🤲🏽 I am reminded that my hands have room to hold new things. New experiences, new dreams, fresh hope.

🤲🏽 I am reminded that I have more to embrace and to give. Embrace the present and the unknown. To give more of myself to the Lord and be generous as the Lord is to me.

🤲🏽 I am reminded of the hands of Jesus. I am reminded of His hands that served, His hands that healed others, His hands that were empty but unashamed. Those same hands that prayed to be filled by His Father each day 🤍

All the poets speak of love, like rivers flowing, stars above, but I, with eyes that never see, can’t taste what they have shown to be.

They write of fire, of endless light, of hearts that burn through darkest night, but though they try to paint it clear, I feel no warmth, no flutter here.
