something very near and dear to me is teenage soukoku getting to engage in teenage shenanigans.

give me all the moments of them dicking around during sparring practice, ending up laying side by side on the mats laughing to themselves about something meaningless. i want them prank calling hirotsu and thinking they’re unbelievably clever for it too. teenage soukoku crashing in chuuya’s room and making fun of reality tv until 4am, burning popcorn in the microwave and eating shitty cup ramen. having to awkwardly ask mori to send someone to repair the hole in chuuya’s wall because he threw a wii remote at it after dazai kicked his ass in mario kart (again). i want all of it!!!

You've mentioned that Jacob's lines in arcade to the deputy sound more sexual in French, is that just like in tone or are the words more sexual?

In French, Jacob doesn’t use any of the nicknames people think sound a bit flirty, so no “angel” or “honey” for us. However, there’s one line in particular that can be interpreted as more sexual than it was in English.

The original sentence is, “The hunt only excites me”, and they chose to translate it as, “La chasse, c’est ça qui m’excite”, which is not wrong, but the phrasing and verb choice kind of make it sound like he’s saying, “The hunt, that’s what turns me on” instead.

You can use the verb “exciter” to translate “to excite” because it’s not technically a mistake, but it’s now more commonly used to talk about sexual arousal rather than enthusiasm…

So yeah, if you’re excited and say “Je suis excité(e)” to a French person, chances are they’ll hear “I’m horny” :’)

While that is very cruel it is partially a conclusion Boone comes to himself. I was speaking more thing are like direct actions you do to them rather than your influence.

Like yeah it’s really fucked I’m listing to this guy who clearly needs therapy and to move on and then saying he never should causing him to harness it into bloodlust. But you don’t directly force his hands to that. It’s a technicality but then you can actually trick him into shooting an innocent person which is like super fucked since you just met the guy.

In the mid-1980s, animated adaptations of arcade games were commonplace— for example, Hanna Barbera's Pac-Man or Saturday Supercade's Q*Bert. Both of these shows, for lack of a better term, 'Americanize' the designs of the titular characters, so I got to thinking...

"What would a mid-1980s cartoon based off Rascal look like?"

Seeing as I've had prior experience in drawing faux animation cels, I decided to put that talent to the test and whip up not only a cel drawing but also a painted background for a scene for a hypothetical 1985 Rascal cartoon! 🍬🧡💙🧡🍬

Wreck it Ralph as a franchise is so strange. The first film represents everything i ADORE in a movie and the second film represents everything I DESPISE in a movie

The more details I learn about Wreck-it Ralph, the more it BLOWS MY MIND and the more I love and appreciate it. This film was so meticulously crafted with so much nerdy love and effort and the characters are written incredibly. There’s so much foreshadowing and little details you’d never notice on a first viewing, and it’s just so clever in every aspect. Everything just feels so natural, the dialogue, the world- I could go on about how much I love it for hours

Meanwhile Ralph Breaks the Internet is Disney’s Emoji Movie… the more I (unfortunately) learn about it the more disappointed I become. And also it’s already so outdated it’s painful. No- It was outdated when it was made. SOMEHOW. A movie about the MODERN ERA. Is MORE OUTDATED than a MOVIE ABOUT ARCADE GAMES!!? Stopping myself so I don’t rant for paragraphs. I haven’t even seen it in full because I know that watching it would break me LOL

I know they had concepts of Ralph traveling to the internet in the first film that they had to cut because it was too much to add an entirely new world. (Thank god)

I know this has been covered Extensively before. But It just continues to baffle me how this even happened. And saddens me. (Especially now that Wish is a thing) Sure it’s the same characters, but every little thing that made the original GREAT is just. Absent or downgraded at worst. And it was the same director… did something happen? Or was a sequel always going to be bad because corporate executives insisted on the vision of “Internet Crossover” cuz of how much they could self advertise and get product placement money and. Yeah.

At this point I’m just happy the first movie was as good as it is and we just have to leave it at that. Even though the missed potential Deeply Hurts me💔
