Millicent Bulstrode is hopeless. And that's not always a bad thing.

Rec: oh this was a tough prompt to rec for. i won’t go into all the fics i considered and all the reasons i decided meh or nah or doesn’t fit because this fic!!! this one was PERFECT. millicent is so earnest and such a precious bean, and the author carries her voice just beautifully through her growing-up years, finding and defining herself through dance lessons and teas with her muggle gran, to entering hogwarts and getting to know a bunch of other delightful misfits. neville! colin! prof sprout! what a wonderfully humanizing fic.

I really love Vril in showcase 96 because not only do we see him likely at his happiest but also in a way, at his softest.

Most in particular to Querl, his great-grandchild.

Vril shows Querl compassion and even offers him comfort while also showing a vested interest in his well-being. The deal he made with Neron is the entire reason why his mother, Brainiac 4, abandoned him in the first place so it was her soul that was impacted. Vril's deal is the reason why Querl went through the abuse he suffered as a child at the hand of Colu.

We don't know if Querl got THAT far with telling Vril about that part of his history and it may just be likely Vril thought his deal had not yet come to term in this moment. Even so, there would have been a time when Vril would not bother with ever asking because it would have been an event so far from his own mission and Querl standing before him was already evidence enough that he at least was okay.

What need would there be to ask about Neron?

I'd like to think this more adjusted Vril attempted some sort of contact with Querl while he was stranded in the 20th century.

Frankly the acid theory has just as much credence to the theory of burning his eyes from looking at the sun, don’t put down other peoples interpretations. A lot of people don’t have Swatch or any of the staff do it, it was an accident or of his own volition.

I’m pretty open about not liking the theory that much but I am also open about being fine with it being apart of aus or if it does turn out canon. It’s boring to me and ur literally talking to someone who actively talks about being a magic puppetification truther like I don’t know what you expect from me here.

Like I’m not going into others inboxes and telling them the theory is mid or their aus suck, or rebloggin posts with the theory and shitting on them. Hell I even made a post about finding the theory interesting in like certain situations it’s just like not or ever gonna be MY theory for what happened to him. I think I voice and post my opinion on it pretty respectfully in all honesty.

So, I’ve been working on a new OC, Alice. She’s the most developed OC I’ve worked on in years, but I don’t know what I’m gonna do with her yet.

I also happen to be hyperfixated on Metal Lords right now and I’ve been thinking about just putting her in a Metal Lords fic cuz I’ve already got a brief idea for that but I don’t know. The fandom’s kinda small and like, this wouldn’t be romance or anything like that, I don’t think. I’d probably just drop her into the world and then just freewrite, basically. But I don’t feel like anyone would read it. A fic for a small-ish fandom that has an OC but no, like, active romance or anything? I feel like no one would care enough to read it. Especially since I know a lot of people are kinda weird when it comes to OCs in fanworks.

And like, this would be the first time I’ve written anything in years so it’d really mess with my head if I put time into writing something and didn’t get any sort of response or feedback at all so even if I do write it, I’m probably not gonna post it cuz I would literally rather get the worst of the worst of internet hate than work on something, work through the anxiety of posting it, then have it flop.

It’s the anxiety thing that’s stopping me, tbh. Like, I have a lot of anxiety about posting online in general and it really sucks when I actually beat that anxiety and make a post only for no one to respond or interact with it in anyway? Like, if I wanted to scream into the void, I’d just write in my journal and skip the anxiety part all together. It’s part of the reason that on my old blog, even before the shadowban, I just lurked and reblogged and didn’t make original posts. Like, I’d rather just skip the entire anxiety thing all together.
