Before I go to bed I'm gonna bring you my hot warframe take: "end game" the way most people understand it doesn't work for warframe so I genuinely wish DE would focus more on quest/story content or events...

like literally the masses need distractions between grinds and different gimmick events based on seasons and celebrations where you can't use your full warframe arsenal (think Dog Days) would be a good distraction and give that illusion of "difficulty" (a lot of people liked Drifter segments during TNW because you weren't as OP so... maybe Duviri will bring us that idk)

i always hate when i see people make posts on tumblr saying 'i hate it when people say they dont like the like button, blah blah insert funnypost about how you like seeing cute hearts or whatever' like artists and creatives on tumblr havent been struggling to get any sort of interaction or have any fun with this site for a while because no one reblogs anything or even sends asks. like i know youre trying to be silly but likes really are causing the downfall of interaction on the site. a lot of you guys are artists, and i bet you remember getting a lot of asks and interaction a year or two ago, even when you werent actively pandering to fandom interests (i know some of you do this now, i see you, i feel you, that's not healthy because it doesnt work either), and now most people's like to reblog ratio is crazy small. look at any art post, and you can see ratios like 17 to 100, 5 to 150, etc etc. and of course no asks, at least not from people who arent telling you to tag 'food warning' or tell you youre a horrible human being for shipping a one year age gap or whatever. and i get a lot of the point of those posts is that you shouldnt be upset that youre getting more likes than reblogs, because you should be happy that anyone likes your art enough to show you they like it, but i think an artist's urge to grow isn't as clout related as these people assume. its wanting more people to see your work, to interact with it. to feel something from it, and the dry well of interaction has made a lot of people move away from the site, because tumblr interactions always felt so personal and so community driven, and now there's no interaction besides harassment. it's not a sin to want your art to be seen, and it's not 'clout goblin behavior' to want members of your community to interact with you and your work. 'likes are interaction too' doesnt matter, because no one gets anything from the interaction besides number go up, which you may find cute and funny, but cute and funny didnt help me meet my best friends, come up with new concepts, have my art feel wanted. Interaction did. And this site has no algorithm, so reblog things you like, type everything you can think of in the tags, comment, send inane asks, or a lot of your favorite artists, creatives, even mutuals just blogging, wont hang around for long

Hey! I hope you're doing good. I just read the drabble 14.5 for Chasing Cars, then your note at the end about things getting better - you shouldn't have to write that note. YOU ARE THE AUTHOR; THE STORYTELLER; and IT IS YOUR STORY. The only thing I use tumblr for is to read fanfiction about BTS, so I have no idea how this asks etc. work and I am not looking for anything in return at all. I just wanted to express my genuine and sincere love for your writing, your stories, and especially YOU. Of course, I don't know you personally well but after the comments on the recent chapter, I just couldn't stop myself. I love what you write. Your writing is so perfect- with every word that I read, an image is formed in my brain then its like watching a movie or a series. And I remember every single scene. Forgotten spaces - I still remember everything about it, have re-read the series multiple times. Sinful lust - I was a little bitter when Yoongi chose Jimin but still loved the way how you handed the ending. I don't read sad endings so, I was a little surprised but its a great story and I don't think anyone else could've handled the story the way you did (which is PERFECT). And Chasing cars, I don't have words for it. I actually loved the way the story as it is. I trust you and know you don't write sad endings, I deal with anxiety and depression as well, so all of it felt so real and personal. I die for the brother's best friend trope; have read almost all stories based on this, and let me tell you - Chasing cars and Three tangerines (by-https://kithtaehyung.tumblr.com/ -Idk how to tag) has been my absolute favorites. If any of these ended up having a physical or other kind of version except tumblr, I would get it in a heartbeat. So, the point of this whole blah blah that I wrote is - There are a lot of people who appreciate your writing and don't write about it though, but the hate is always louder as you know; NEVER let any of these/them effect them. Just do you, be you, and I will ALWAYS look forward to whatever you write in whatever way you want to. Please take care of yourself and thanks for writing and sharing these beautiful stories!!

just a lil update to say that i'll be moving soon, so over the next 2–3 weeks i'll be quite busy and won't be able to post a lot a lot (not that i usually post that much but i do try!)

it's funny, i've been hearing a lot about blog competition and fighting for notes and monopolising panel show content blah blah in my inbox recently. (i only included one here but there's genuinely been quite a few just in the last couple of weeks.) i don't know what might be going on on other blogs or discords or whatever, and i honestly didn't even know these were still convos people are having; i kinda thought we all agreed that this site isn't as big as it used to be, notes aren't as plentiful as they used to be, but by golly we'll just keep on posting anyways. i don't know if there are edit tags for any panel shows but i don't use them; i just post content here for my current followers and if you guys like it then that's all i wanted to do. i don't care if there are other panel show blogs with more followers or posts that get more notes or better gifs or better blogs or whatever. it's all fine. i don't care. i don't think about it. so you don't have to ask me that stuff — how to grow your blog or get more followers or more engagement, or how i feel about other blogs that post the same content as i do — i won't answer it. just post it because you want to; don't race to be the first one to get stuff at (especially at the expense of making content you're proud of!); don't put other people down; don't send anonymous hate. just be cool and worry about you. if you can't have fun here without validation in the notes then you're gonna be miserable. flopping is integral to being active.

thoughts on Kaneda leading the what-would-be the sovereign nation of the Great Tokyo Empire

WELL..... i don't think ive seen anyone talk about this stuff before. maybe someone has years ago but whatever. read more cuz i typed too much

i think kaneda is the leader of the empire. he is stupidly charismatic and (typology warning) an 8w7... he's naturally drawn towards that kind of position and fits the most in that kind of social role. so i don't think kaneda would ever give up the opportunity to be a leader of something, to take care of/protect (and boss around ..........) others (sometimes......)

but kaneda doesn't lead alone here. kei and kaisuke -- chiyoko and joker too? -- help keep things running smoothly. especially when it comes to acts of diplomacy because this is what kaneda has to offer diplomatically:

so she helps him out with that aspect. he's too forward. diplomacy becomes more important later when the empire gets recognized as its own nation. it isn't important now but later for sure. no way kaneda would be good at that shit lol. as for the others roles im not sure... i haven't thought much about that

anyways, i see empire leader kaneda as a fairly competent guy who is good at bringing people together because he's always done that. using akira as a symbol of the nation, etc, etc. blah blah. him leading at the end of vol 6 with the banner and the declarations and the group ride off is a great display of that

kaneda would be an unorthodox leadership, very rag-tag like a gang but his word still matters. he doesn't think like a typical "leader" (politician).. because he would hate to turn into one. he just does what he wants while keeping the people's needs in mind and taking into account what his friends suggest is good for the nation. yay

kaneda isn't open to aid or alliances (at least in the beginning) but the great tokyo empire isn't looking for that anyways. he's working towards prosperity in a way that means freedom from things that started AKIRA in the first place and freedom for neo-tokyo as its own thing.

i'm sure he'd have his influence and suddenly a lot of people would know his name and face. which for kaneda would boost his ego BUT..... i think he would be pretty laidback about """fame""" or "power" when it comes to partaking in this role. he's focused on the empire rebuilding so he's trying to be more humble. of course this is surprising to people around him considering what he's done before but he's changed, trying to be better or whatever. corny shit

while he wouldn't be perfect and wouldn't be doing everything on his own all the time, this is pretty much how it works for me when i think of this. i really don't see why he wouldn't become a leader of the great tokyo empire while having help from kei and the others. being in this position gives him more closure or something

Please learn how the tagging system works. Nobody wants to see your anti Sansa/Aemond takes in their tags. That's what anti tags are for. I'm tired of Targ stans pitching fits about other fans not tagging correctly (they do) while you guys freely tag your hate and then complain when fans object to this.

How about this: both sides both put anti tags and do not put anti tags sometimes (because that is the actual truth of it, since I don't think every single Targ anti or Targ pro tags their stuff as you say "correctly"). Or that when people argue their arguments against Rhaenyra/Dany/Arya etc's characters and morals, they sometimes do not put "anti-" blah, blah there.

Which one of us are right is about how people can tag, anon? Rhetorical question. The answer is the both of us. Sometimes you have people on both sides not use anti tags and continue to not to despite people like you telling them to. And we can't forget that whatever "sides" there are, people disagree passionately and see the other side as the "troublesome" or "bad" one. Both together which results in more and more complaints until it seems to each side that one side is not doing what the other tells them to do as if it were a group symptom of one side

In the past, I have said that I do not put "anti" in front of "Sansa" posts writing against her because I do not actually despise Sansa with every fiber in my being as the words "anti" implies (like I do Otto, Alicent, Aemond, Aegon II) BUT it is mainly because everything about Sansa, etc. that I say is backed up by the actual text (which I give) and the context (which I explain) and the definition of bullying/war prize, blood purity, etc.

Feels disingenuous to then put "anti-Sansa" or whatever just to make people feel comfortable when people could just skim the post and go on their merry way like I have. I also have never, not once, complained about other Rhaenyra/Dany/etc haters NOT putting in "anti" tags. And I already explained why here.

I also chose not to even filter that stuff out, because I actually want to know how these people think from time to time, but that is just me.

I honestly am not sure why exactly this bothers people so much other than they and you are angry that you get to see posts talking and arguing in ways and about things you don't like or passionately disagree with. But if you don't like a thing, you have the choice to either read it or not to read it. It is not as if I am publishing graphic pictures or NOT trying to put trigger warnings and content warnings in my tags. You, know, things that are actually serious and could harm users' psyches if there were no tags.

Therefore I know how it works now. I see it as pretty much dumb, though. (Except for the idea of trigger warnings and content warnings for actually serious things.)

so i know i'm annoying and i've said it like bazillion times before, and i'm pretty sure not many ppl wanna hear this again, and i'm not even really sure why i'm posting this but i'm already irritating enough, so what the hell. this is kinda long so putting this under the cut

those of u who follow me long enough know how active i am in pushing my... aziz agenda lmao. and i have no intentions to stop anytime soon. and i know that it's really nobody's buisiness cause hey, everyone love what they love, blah blah blah, we know dasha, MOVE ON. but i feel the need to explain the reason WHY this happens to me still, almost A YEAR after the show got unfairly cancelled, and why my aziz era persists still to this day, probably the longest out of any fandom i've ever been a part of (or thought i am a part of)

the reason is, this show helped me to get through some very tough times, such as dissapearance of my best friend, and some family issues, and there are many other, deeply personal reasons as to why i connect with it and its characters so much, of which i'm not ready to talk about online. which brings us to our next conclusion

i will not tolerate any hate towards this show. like none. zero. nada. any hate at all. and yes, i know every piece of media has haters, cause hey, some ppl seem to love hating stuff (i mean, it's internet, and it's tumblr dot com, are we even surprised?), and many other fav shows of mine has haters, and any person has an opinion and they are entitled to it (tho "hate" and "opinion" are two VERY different things but whatever) but due to the fact that i connect to aziz on a deeply personal level, i will tolerate no such thing towards this particular piece of media

therefore, if i see any shit about the show, such as "glad the show's cancelled", "this show is so bad" etc etc or if i see some bullshit in the tags of my aziz sets, that is like the fastest and the most easy way to get your ass permanently blocked. to be even more clearer — i never lied about the fact that my love for this show is bigger than for any other shows i ever watched. i don't care about opinions. i don't want to see it, and i will NOT see it

another thing, if you're not comfortable with me posting aziz, or not comfortable with frequency witch which i do so, please, either unfollow me or block the tag. for both our sakes and comfort.

🌹 NOTES: Life has been a NPC for the most part because she is so difficult to write opposite with other people. OP'ness aside, she's mean. She's hurt and she's become a worst person for it. I won't say this character doesn't have a possible path to healing and redemption but good luck making it that far. She's in straight up pure villain territory. If you're her equal (Death or other personifications like Time, etc) then she probably hates you. If you're anything else, you mean less to her than the dirt on her nice heels.

🌹 She's also bitter and tired and surrounded by hurt with no way out. I wouldn't say she directly plans or plots or even truly considers the concept of suicide because it's just not possible for her. However, if she had the chance to not exist and take every bit of life with her-—she would in a heartbeat. Thus the content warning.

🌹 I'm flexible with other personifications but I do have a general 'canon' dynamic with her and Death. Just the concept of being really close and inseparable towards the early times to Life being bitter and resentful and more or less jealous of what Death can do that she can never have and avoiding Death. Everything else is flexible. Past lovers, sibling-esque, just two personifications chilling with no sort of connection besides the obvious. I'll roll with whatever dynamic.

🌹 Plants and animals are typical the exception. More so plants. She's also big on sweets and fashion and general materialistic things.

idk how to say this. some folks are really, really projecting hard on to Guillermo and have been for quite some time, I think. Look, I absolutely get why, he's meant to be the relatable character and the lens through which the audience experiences the chaos around them, but...that doesn't necessarily mean Guillermo is going to have the same reactions and feelings about things that one thinks he should have.

by that I mean I think people are taking Nandor's cloning of Freddie as an even more severe slight against Guillermo than Guillermo did (let's talk more about how it was very much a sincere slight against Marwa, shall we lol). i see people referring to it as this sort of hindenburg disaster in their dynamic, when I don't think it necessarily was any more than the entire dynamic is and always has been a hindenburg disaster

something I think I was trying to say earlier and others have pointed out, both Nandor and Guillermo talk about Freddie like an object, an abstract concept, the accomplishment/consolation prize Guillermo was 'able to get' independent of Nandor. Guillermo has literally been lying to Freddie about everything in his life to this point, including the whole thing about being a mass murderer, vampire killer, etc etc etc HE HAS BODIES HIDDEN IN THE BACKYARD SHARON. As much as I love Guillermo and wish the world for him, I can't exactly say he was the portrait of a great boyfriend either, at any point, nor do I think he ever really loved Freddie as much as he did the concept of him. I think it's really misplaced to see this as Nandor selfishly ruining the truest and best love of Guillermo's life because that really isn't what was written.

And what's more, Nandor didn't even ruin the relationship- Freddie did. Willingly. With himself. I mean...I'd say in a very weird fucked up way typical to this show, Nandor saved Guillermo a lot of trouble down the road, and no one who actually wants the best for Guillermo should really have wanted him to end up with that guy. I think you can hate him with Nandor and still agree to that, yea?

idk, just some very very GRIM and serious stuff in the tags about how the pairing sucks now or whatever, when I think this was absolutely in keeping with the show's flavor of absurd, chaotic writing while still emphasizing the fucked up love between them both in a very effective way. I think the only way anyone could miss that is by looking with a much more personal/real-world lens at the Freddie situation and thinking Guillermo should/would react as a normal, real-life person would? When will we accept that Guillermo's priorities and morals are just as skewed as the rest of them? idk man

I'll never understand the modern pop take of Zeus banishing Hades to the "gloomy" underworld 'cause he's such a "spoilt brat" like... what?? The original and most myth sources literally state right there that the 3 brothers divided the realms equally and even drew lots fairly. Even Ovid, who's notorious for THAT ONE version of the Medusa myth, agreed that Hades' domain is just as equally respected and important as his and Poseidon's.

Oh right, this is 2010s Tumblr, Zeus is just an evil, cheating manwh*re but Hades is a precious cinnamon roll. I'm no Greek or someone who worships the culture's gods but these takes are very tiring to find in the mythology tags... Why can't both brothers be seen fairly and nicely for once?

God, nonny. If I had a nickel for each of the "Hades was banished" I would have quite a few!

This is one of my most hated modern "takes"; Zeus (or, sometimes, Zeus and Poseidon, if the author wants to be generous about spreading the ~unfair treatment of sweet boo boo gentleman Hades~ around) tricking Hades into taking the Underworld, or outright banishing him because he doesn't like him, sees him as a threat, or whateverthefuck we're saddling whatever patriarchal boogeyman version of Zeus whoever wants to coo over Hades is writing.

As you say, they drew lots - now, if you don't agree the portioning out of realms (which has nothing to do with the overall high kingship, really) to pure chance, then Fate clearly made sure the right brother got the right domain - fair and square. (As I've mentioned elsewhere, Zeus wouldn't really have had to do this; the kings before him were kings of all creation, Zeus could have been too.) There's even some line, somewhere (I cannot for the life of me remember where I read it, I beg forgiveness for the lack of sourcing this, so take it with some salt because memory etc.) that Zeus promised Hades his pick of wife because he was feeling regretful Hades got stuck with the Underworld - again, if this is straight true, Zeus clearly values Hades!

But aside from that, yeah, the three realms are considered equal in dignity (even if the Underworld is definitely less well seen/spoken of by mortals, for understandable reasons), so generally I think it's stupid to think of it as if Hades is stuck with something undesirable. It is definitely (even on the divine end) isolated from everything else, but Hades isn't stuck down there (which is another take I've seen). He can leave! He can go visit his family!

Given, he absolutely doesn't do that often, but that it would be out of some sneering disdain over the messiness of the rest of his family/Zeus in particular is just... excuse me for the lack of faith here but clearly just another expression of Zeus being nothing but the evil, oppressive bad king blah blah blah. Hades is a busy man since he actually attends to a lot of (if not all, if you go with Minos, Rhadamanthus and Aeacus being judges in the afterlife) the souls himself, and if he's an introvert on top of that, why wouldn't he stay home rather than go mingle with everyone else, even if he doesn't have anything against them?

(Again, tying this back to the Persephone situation; Hades goes to ask, officially, for his niece's hand. You don't go to your brother, who you don't like, and who doesn't like you, for his daughter's hand in marriage unless you like him and he likes you, because otherwise you can't expect not just agreement, but active assistance in helping you gain your goal!)

I guess I will never get to see "Hades and Zeus like each other and are close" be much widespread at all, but I would take "reasonably amicable relationship" over all the "Hades doesn't like anyone else except MAYBE ~precious Hestia~ because he is such a good, non-drama-mongering man" and "Zeus hates Hades so he banished him to the Underworld" etc etc and all that.

I feel bad for all the nice J*nsa shippers who like their ship for whatever reasons (tropes, pretty art, aesthetic appeal, whatever) and know it's not canon but get associated with the misogynistic Dany hating crowd who act like Jon being attracted to Ygritte is J*nsa foreshadowing because red hair (I guess Jon should fuck Edmure Tully too? Omg give me Dark!Jon getting revenge on Catelyn by seducing her brother!) Tell me something. I'm new to the fandom but was J*nsa popular before the show? And I've heard something about the OG J*nsa shippers being alienated by the new shippers who insisted it had to be canon and acted like the series is called, "A song of J*nsa #danysux." I don't find that hard to believe because I know people who are now ashamed of calling themselves J*nsa shippers. Like, at this point, it's not only rival shippers who hate it. Even Gendrya/Braime/Jon stans/etc have started disliking that ship. You know your fandom is a problem when people who have nothing to do with Jnsa have a problem with it.

when I got into fandom also given what numbers were on ao3 one ship was popular and it was sansan. no like sansan was lit. the only asoiaf ship on ao3 with more than 200 fics. jb had twenty when i checked first. jc had like around 100-ish because of the show but sansan dwarfed anything. I posted the first jon/ygritte fic on the ao3 tag and the fourth throbb fic and like the others were all reposts from lj kinkmemes. nothing was popular before the show except for sansan when it comes to huge numbers bc grrm doesn't like fic and it was all hush hush until the show made it impossible to control and that ship was the one with a huge enough fanbase it actually had numbers, so like... j*nsa wasn't popular in the way nothing else was popular until it got screentime on the show

now, that stated, j*nsa had a... fair amount of fic for a rareship which was mostly book-based and from og shippers that were there from before the show and liked it for what it was but literally none of them thought it was gonna be canon, like it wasn't huge or anything but it had a small but dedicated fanbase who did their own thing and thought it was fun/liked the idea but that was it

that fandom had their own niche of hcs that they cultivated and shit except that like... at the end of S5/beginning of S6 there was a surge in shipping for... well obvious reasons bc it was obv sansa was getting to the wall and that would have been all nice and good but a) it was the time puritanical shipping was starting to take root and the 'shipping sansa with sandor or tyrion is hella problematic' rhetoric had started to circle coming from sans*ery shippers mostly but I'mma not open that fucking can of worms here, b) while the ending of S5 had more of a theon/sansa spike, the j*nsa stuff started getting big

now here we have to mention my villain origin story ie: j*nsa fandom had this one stan whose name I won't make because honestly it's been years and if she's still around I don't want her to remember I exist who was a bnf, wrote for... the website that created the whole larry/carol thing etc who was really fixed on this thing that j*nsa was actually canon and started writing extremely popular meta about it. now you're gonna ask how do you know, I know because this person once wrote a meta named 'why robb stark is a dick' and I told her that it was really fucking bad meta and she took it so badly she kept on trash talking me on her blog/her podcast (I was apparently the insane robb stark fangirl l m a o good lord) and like that was when some sane ppl who argued with her informed me in pvt that she was basically harping on the CANON thing when they'd have been okay with like... it being crackshipping and that she was basically cultivating a hoarde of followers who were harping on them/the ogs and basically ostracizing them;

I would like to add that this person - before her tumblr got 'accidentally deleted' and remade it therefore deleted most receipts for, er, her so-called meta which included stuff like ned and cat raised sansa as a sexual object and only wanted to sell her like cattle - had at some point started a round robin fic thing where... some of the characters mocked openly said stuff that some of the og fans had said specifically targeting them and people in that side basically went harassing anyone who didn't agree with that specific notion

now never mind that this person basically coined an entire term to describe ppl who liked white guys and excused all their wrongdoings out of my conversation re robb basically lying about everything I said as if I didn't have the receipts and tried to sell shirts with it and it didn't work and like then she got kicked out of her own website because she was telling her commenters disagreeing pretty shitty insults (considering I was called psychotic for disagreeing with her that time I don't doubt it) I think at some point she stepped back from fandom bc idk wtf she's up to these days and I don't want to, but basically at that point the dam was broken and there was a bunch of puritanical shippers harping on anyone who didn't agree with j*nsa is canon endgame stuff

this also includes an incident when those ppl were like... passing themselves as throbb shippers and ended up trying to tell t*hramsay shippers off the theon tag based on moral reasons and I ended up arguing with all of them (and they were all from that crowd) which in turn landed me in contact with other og j*nsa shippers who were like detached from that fandom bc those same people harassed them away as well ssooooo fun

anyway when S6 happened everyone was high on it and whatnot but I wasn't gonna begrudge them that I mean... you shipped it for years, canon is delivering you, good for you, but then j*nerys happened

aaand basically...... I mean personally I was there like are y'all seriously arguing about the best incest jon ship out there but like basically the j*nsa endgame side was like AH JON IS PLAYING DANY SEE IF IT DOESN'T HAPPEN, the j*nerys obv got defensive af and both sides were sort of alternatively shitting on jon/ygritte anyway and depicting any other romantic rship jon could have as abusive™ and during S8 it just got worse and like I tried to stay out of it but basically from what I'm seeing now idk how the j*neryses are doing but on the j*nsa one it's ah jon's gonna play dany anyway and she's going to go insane like in the show so SHOW TRUTHING EVERY OTHER WAY and like again denying that sandor exists or that tyrion exists and like I barely touch my corner (sansan) but I ended up arguing with j*nsa/th*nsa people on twitter who were antis and is2g it was white-hair inducing and I know for sure the sansa/tyrion shippers were harassed to hell and back throughout so FUN

and even if the show didn't go there now since everyone there banked on the jnsa endgame thing and admitting you're wrong is like... not a thing, they still haven't let go of it and attach to that ship any shred of evidence which honestly is grasping at straws half of the time (like... the sansa/alysanne parallels like guys please no) and which is why every other ship is starting to get fed up, attaching canon proof of stuff from other ships onto theirs see that batb argument and jb is platonic but jonsa is not nvm taking all the sansan stuff and throwing it on j*nsa but then denying that sansan has canon evidence (like guys I had to read sansa touching his shoulder when saying gregor wasn't a true knight wasn't meaningful and we were seeing things please) and blah blah blah

this also goes hand in hand with the fixation on like... villanizing dany at all costs and like is2g I have zero investment in dany or her storyline I don't even remember it and I don't particularly care abt her either way and sure af I'm not for j*nerys endgame but like.... some stuff I read is completely excessive esp when fixing on how she's a completely mad tyrant who's gonna have to be put down and like... guys no

(also there's some srs stannis hate in that corner which I honestly don't get why they even care abt stannis but I had to read stuff like ppl don't recognize that dany and stannis are the real villains in this saga and like........ idek)

I think most of the og shippers are gone or don't ship it openly bc they don't want to be attached to the drama but like I also think they're pissing off everyone else bc like... I mean a bunch of them also were down with sansa being paired with other ppl as long as it meant a good ending for her except those ppl were... like everyone but the ppl she has actual contact with in canon which meant that at some point sansa/gendry was a thing and like.... you can imagine why arya/gendry shippers & arya stans were fed up, and there's also this tendency to behave like sansa is the center of the entire saga which like these books is named a song of jon snow basically can we pls make peace with it and personally I've had it with both j*nsa and j*nerys people since they started with that dumbass JON/YGRITTE WAS AN ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP rhetoric but I'm also fed up with the total ignoring that sandor exists/depicting us as delusional and honestly I also was by proxy fed up from the harassing of the sansa/tyrion shippers soooooooooooo

there were also instances of 'well theon is an acceptable choice other than jon bc he can't threaten her' which... i mean we all know what that meant and I'm not even commenting it bc it's one AM and I have no force to but I don't have to explain why it's not a progressive take now do I

there were also metas about how cousin incest being legal in half of the world means that jondany is a worse incest and j*nsa doesn't count as such and I was basically there like guys please just fucking own up to it but honestly I chose to forgot where I read that and I couldn't find the link if I tried

tldr: no one wants to admit that it's not gonna be endgame which considering the amount of fic they have on ao3 is imvho useless bc they have more content than like.. anything I ship that's not jb or that's actually like canon *cries in joncon/rhaegar but I mean renly/loras is canon and has less fic than them* so idk what's the problem with enjoying that instead of insisting it's gonna be canon when not even the show validated it while show truthing anyway when the only show truthing that can be truthed is the small council made of minorities and possibly jon eventually fucking off with the wildlings but not like that but like most people who thought it wasn't gonna be endgame had left/were made to leave by the time S7 rolled by and at this point since wow isn't out yet everyone is fandom-grasping at straws to find stuff to discourse on and we're here beating dead horses *shrug*

so that's... how it is but I would again like to point out that I don't judge ppl on their shipping, I don't particularly care about this entire feud bc I only ship jon with ppl he's not related to in whichever way and I try to stay out of this mess bc I don't really care to argue with ppl who have already decided to bend canon to whatever they want and will have to realize that it's not what grrm wrote at some point but like I have a very good memory and the above rant is as objective as possible also bc again I don't literally have a stake in that race I just think romantic/endgame j*nsa is not a thing and that ppl should stay in their lane and not harping on other ppl who ship whatever in general but especially when their ship is the most popular thing in fandom in the first place /two cents

Manacled was not in anyway romantic, the author specifically said that. It’s people who chose to see it like that.

Also please don’t base a ship on one specific story, there are other dramione stories out there that are nothing like this. Don’t make people feel bad about liking a ship.

Being a supercorp shipper sometimes sucks when i go to look at fanart but get bombarded with anti crap (all types of anti) and immature people gatekeeping. Like bruh, people can ship whatever they want, whether it be the old canon ship from the comic (Supergirl x Brainy) or fanon like Karamel or Supercorp or Valorcorp or Sanvers (though it would have been nice if Queller kept Maggie's daughter from the comics since she's a middle aged lesbian with a child). Is it really that hard for all of us to get along and agree that the showrunners make shitty story arcs for all of the characters? because really the CW dc shows are just terrible fanfics inspired by the comics. (also, Lar Gand/Mon El is no longer Superman's adoptive brother in the comics, he is now Jon Kent's great grandson which means he's related to Kara..... it sucks I know, as a Legion fan I hate the new comic canon lore with a passion)

And you are sure you use the tags not the search? Because when you use search, you see all stuff aka things that are tagged anti too. At least on the tumblr, not sure about twitter and insta. But if you see karamels being mean and tagging their anti stuff as SC, send me a link, I will ask to remove the tags.

As for your general question, no, I don't think we as ship fandoms can live peacefuly and agree that ship and allow to ship. For some reason, if the fandoms focus too much on ships (my theory is, when a show basically sucks and there is nothing to focus but relationships the fandoms go to shit. It's kind of the tv/movie producers fault, because of them forcing love relationships to every show/movie, even when they could just fucking not, but sex sells blah blah blah) they turn to be super fanatic, gross and basically behave like they are on a war for a better world, while it all is about getting the two characters they like to kiss.

This is what happened to SG. There is basically nothing to talk about in the main tags, most posts are just about ships or pics of that one fanatcis fave. And I miss the times when I could go to the tags and read some meta, sigh.

I don't know the rest of the shows, I don't watch them, but the fact is Gossip Queller Girl and Rowner should have not become the showruners of this show. Queller admitted she has never read a comic book. That's my whole comment.

I mean, I don't read the comics (I'm too annoyed by the fact the are gazillion diffrent veriosns that are contradicting to each other, I prefered manga, sorry), but I treat the comic book canon and tv show canon like two different versions. It's like show Kara didn't fuck a horse and Lobotomizer never used a wheelchair and was not disabled etc.

okay so for everyone who hates big corporations and management who takes advantage of their employees.. this one’s for you. it’s long but .... i find it completely hilarious.

so a brief recap: amy got fired back in march from a huge international retailer, yes? when things first started like they were going south, i worked on really re establishing a relationship with my brother who is like one level below C-suite (cfo, ceo, etc etc) of that same company because i had an idea in mind. March rolls around, amy gets fired .. and I’m like .. okay. time to put this in motion. but stress and depression obviously took the motivation away from me, but i continued to keep that line of communication up with my brother. we started talking weekly, sometimes twice a week via an actual call. well, i’m finally feeling better .. so this week i finally put my plan in motion. here’s how it went

stage 1: i sent a text to my brother asking if i applied to the store in my area if i could use him as a reference. he said, of course but every store is hiring so i’d look at any store besides that one. (which is already fucking hilarious but i digress) ... so i call the store and one of the managers who sat in on amy’s firing answers when i ask to speak to someone involved in hiring (oh lucky day). I start off with “hi! I’m sorry to bother you, but I’ve been looking for a job thats a bit of a change of scenery and my brother is the *insert position name* and works in *insert headquarters location* and he recommended i give the company a try despite that I had a less than stellar experience last time”. And this manager FALLS OVER telling me they are hiring for so many positions blah blah blah and then at the end when i’m like “thanks for the information! I’m definitely going to apply!” she’s like “of course! I’ll give our hiring manager your information so she can pull it immediately. Whats your name?” and i give my name and suddenly its just dead fucking silent... because they know who I am and they know that I’m in a relationship with amy and that i know what they did. But she recovers and is like ‘can’t wait to see your application!’ .. so.. okay. stage 1 was a success. but then, enter...

unexpected event: the store manager himself calls me. Starts off with some small talk, finally gets around to saying ‘so I hear you’d like to come back and work for us? I was looking at your previous application and I didn’t see any mention of the relation you talked about when you called”. And I’m like “oh, yeah... I don’t like using stuff like that because I’d prefer to get in on my own merit  and skills and not by a family member’s position. Plus its like that show undercover boss, you know? I get to see what the place is like before they know. BUT given with what happened to amy, I was unsure if I’d even be considered without a reference like that” and he laughs nervously and is like “i totally get it. So did anyone know that you had a brother in that position?” and I’m like “oh i mentioned it once in passing to [amy’s manger] but I just said my brother was in corporate and there are a lot of levels so i think he just left it at that” and the store manager is like ‘haha yeah different levels but thats like ... its own level...” and we talk a little bit and he’s like “what made you want to come back?” and I’m like “like i mentioned before, the amy thing really threw me off. I was angry and the good thing about siblings is you don’t have to sugarcoat stuff. So I went to my brother and was like this is how you treat people?? are you kidding?? what about job security?? and i sent him the picture amy had snapped of her discharge papers where it listed the reason and he told me that, and everything else I yelled at him about,  wasn’t the company’s way and that the store had seriously violated something. So for one, I now know that isn’t actually something that should have happened and  two, i inadvertently brought this store to corporate’s attention and there are a lot of good people who work here, and they don’t deserve the consequences of that, so I want to help make it right” and he’s fucking sweating yall, I can hear it over the phone. and he’s like “fill out your application and put whatever you want down and we’ll call you and talk about positions and we can find a way to give you what you want” and I’m like “oh, don’t tell me that nick because your chair is looking awfully good right now” and he did a nervous laugh. SO, unexpected event made my plan even better. Then we get to:

Stage 2: I apply. I check literally every management position, including the one they fired amy from and also some hourly positions and put down ridiculous hours. I pass the manager test with flying colors and when it asks why i said i want to be a team trainer i wrote down ‘thanks to knowing the home office, i know how things should work and I want to help this store raise its position in the district and I know what policies aren’t being followed to help make that raise smoother.” I submitted the application, called the first manager I had spoken to and told her I had done so and she was like “I’m sure we’ll give you a call tomorrow!” ‘Tomorrow’ came and by 7 that night, they hadn’t contacted me. So I went to the ‘we’re hiring’ image they had posted on their facebook page like an hour previously and tagged my brother and was like ‘dude this is one of the positions at my store i was telling you about. think i could pull it off?” AND BAM ! they sent me a request for a phone interview at 8am the next morning. I scheduled my interview for later that afternoon at 2:45 and we enter Stage 3.

Stage 3: Amy and I go to the store to pick up a few things. It’s suddenly fucking spotless. There are no gaps in the shelves, the floor has been cleaned since the last time we were there (monday night and i called them tuesday and it is now white and shiny as hell) and they have the lights turned up all the way so you can actually see. EVERY FUCKING AISLE is perfect. Cat food? perfect. Funko pops? stacked and lined up perfectly. Video games? Filled. Clearance aisle? Perfect order. Like its super obvious they did a mad dash and tried to get the store in shape. So amy and I walk down every single aisle and point things out and kind of put our heads together and talk and I take out my phone and act like i’m texting etc .. basically we’re just fucking with people’s heads because the managers are nearby and they can see what we’re doing. 

Stage 4: So later we’re home and 2:45 comes and goes with NO word. No phone call, no email, no hey can we reschedule. they FORGOT about the interview. I’m dying because they’re making it even better and even easier to fuck with them. So I text my brother (who KNOWS my mental health has been in the trash) and I’m like “I filled out an application just to see and they set up an interview and blew me off. You were right .. not a great help when it comes to the blues” and he was like “yep...i’d look at literally any other store” and talked to me a bit more about it. He was irritated that they’d do that and kept saying they were on thin ice.  Finally at 5 they text me and they’re like “hey, this is the [insert store] and we’re sorry we missed your interview. I wanna apologize. Can we reschedule?” And I wait like an hour and a half (i was napping, i’ll admit it) but I respond with “I apologize for the late response, I had a prior commitment I had to take care of. Unfortunately, I reached out to someone [they know who it is. they know]  in the off chance I had misunderstood the process since I hadn’t heard from you guys and I was encouraged to pursue opportunities at other branches in the area. Thank you for the original consideration and I hope you have a great day!” and they waited until 11am the next day to reply back which I’m assuming is because they were waiting for the higher up management to return to the store.

Come to find out the managers are still basically pissing themselves and freaking out because not only did they a) fire someone against company policy and now know the people at the top know and b) drop the ball and forget to interview a family member of said people at the top ... I got to add salt in the wound one more time by mentioning that my brother dropped in a lot (he doesn’t) and that I’d love to show off the store since it’s such a huge part of the community and it was looking better than I’d ever seen it look. And that it would be nice because he’d get the real experience since it wasn’t a formal, announced visit .... but, of course, that he’s salary .. so the policy is that he’s always ‘at work’ and obligated to take note of things.

so basically, i feel justified. Six and a half months of careful planning and maneuvering was totally justified. 10/10, I’d do it again. Let this be a lesson that patience in planning vengeance is completely worth having and I hope I helped make the store better for employees who aren’t management by putting the fear of god into them with the idea that my brother or anyone else from his office can just drop the fuck in whenever they want with a totally casual visit that could still fuck the management over completely. This is a good week, mates .. a very good week. Am I petty? yes. Do i hate their guts and feel like it was an entertainment that was totally worth it given what they did to the love of my life? also yes.
