The show is a musical, but what would the characters actually be like when it comes to both singing ability and predisposition (Raps, Eugene, Cass, Varian, etc.)
That's impossible for me to say. Singers come from surprising places. A lot of people who sing have a natural talent for it, and you never know where it's going to show up.
Rapunzel is definitely the most likely to sing (regardless of skill) followed, I think, by Lance. Varian is at least musically inclined, since he plays piano and tambourine, but I don't know how well he'd be expected to sing in reality. Eugene is a "sing while drunk" type, and strikes me as a whistler (heck he does whistle in TBEA), as is Lance (who was driving everyone crazy with his whistling in "Mirror, Mirror"). Cassandra, I think, would prefer listening to music than singing along most of the time.
But these are all just spit balling off the top of my head. Frankly, I prefer to think they all can sing as well as they do in the series, because I like to have my world steeped in music.

Words that rhyme with HALLOWEEN! 🎃 👻 by joybucket
Do you celebrate Halloween? 🎃 👻 Yeah. I mean, I don’t do as much for it anymore like I used to but I still enjoy it.  Describe some of the best Halloween decorations you have ever seen. There’s so many. I saw on Etsy they had a 35 foot inflatable Michael Myers, which is pretty dope haha. Home Depot had like a 12 foot Vecna and it’s creepy cool. Have you ever dressed up as a Queen? 👸 No. ...and if not, would you ever want to dress up as a queen? Eh, not really. Are you someone who is mean? No.
In the last costume you wore, was there any green? No. Do you know where exactly in your body is your spleen? I do. Have you gotten the COVID vaccine? 💉 No. Who in your family is or was a Marine? My papa was.  Which name do you like best for a girl: Francine, Maureen, Jolene, Karlene, or Marlene? Jolene.  Have you ever met anyone named Dean? No. That makes me think of Gilmore Girls, though.  What is one thing you wish you hadn't seen? 👀 Uhhhh. Which name do you like best for a girl: Colleen, Kathleen, Eileen, Irene, or Janine? Kathleen. Did you you do anything special for your Sweet Sixteen? I had a party with family and friends.  What is your favorite beverage that includes caffeine? Coffee. Have you ever had a friend named Christine? No. Is your room clean? It needs some straightening up.  What is one thing you find serene? Sitting by the ocean watching and listening to the waves crash in and out.  Have you ever had a friend named Selene? No. Do you own a washing machine? Yes. What is something you have accidentally put through a washing machine? Not me personally, but I know money has accidentally gotten mixed in with the wash. I think a credit card, too. What are three things you have never been for Halloween? I’ve never been a superhero, a pirate, or a clown.  What are three things you disliked about being a teen? Acne, I began really struggling with my self-esteem, some parts of high school.  As a teen, did you ever read Seventeen magazine? Yeah. For support, on whom do you lean? My family. About how many hours per day do you spend staring at a screen? 💻 📱 🖥 Too many. Are you currently wearing jeans? 👖 Nope. On YouTube, are you a fan of Colleen? I know who she is and have seen some videos, but no I wouldn’t say I’m a fan.  For shampoo, do you use Panteen? 🧴 No. Do you like the song Jolene? Yeah. When was the last time you applied sunscreen? 🧴 Over a year ago. Have you ever played the tambourine? I probably have in music class in elementary school. Do you like the color tangerine? Sure. I don’t like actual tangerines, though. In fact, I’m allergic.  Would you rather jump on a trampoline, read a magazine, or watch a movie on a big screen? Watch a movie on a big screen. Which color do you like better: tangerine or aquamarine? Aquamarine. Which name do you like best for a boy: Dean, Gene, Sheen, Eugene, or Bean? Dean. Would you rather eat a jelly bean or a tangerine? 🫘 🍊 Well, jelly bean of course. I’d like not to not have an allergic reaction, thanks. When was the last time you rode in a limousine? When I was a kid. Fun fact: My dad worked for a limousine company and I got to ride around in one sometimes.  What is your favorite foreign cuisine? Italian. When it comes to crackers, do you like saltines? They’re okay, but I prefer like Ritz or Cheez-Its.  Are you addicted to nicotine? 🚬 No. Do you like the smell of gasoline? ⛽️ I do.

Reviews 283: The Lemko Unlimited Orchestra
Balearic is perhaps best known for their epic compilations…these expertly selected, masterfully sequenced, and gorgeously presented collections that follow on in the spirit of the José Padilla-curated Café del Mar volumes and React’s Real Ibiza series. As well, the label has put out a string of digital singles, some of which rank among my favorite releases from the past few years (see Bartosz Kruczyński’s remix of Sacha Puttnam’s “Abraham’s Theme,” all three The Madrigal releases, and Miskotom’s Midnight Baddie, which for me is something of a chill-out masterpiece). Now in 2019, Balearic has dropped their first vinyl single, which comes in the form of Pathways / K.G.E.T. by The Lemko Unlimited Orchestra. Followers of the label are no doubt familiar with The Lemko Unlimited Orchestra, as the producer’s beachside interpretation of Inner City’s “The Good Life” featured on Balearic 2 (under the name Eugene Tambourine). For Pathways / K.G.E.T., he returns again to the well of certified classics, presenting inspired mash-ups and transformative re-imaginings of Fingers Inc.’s “A Path” and Ralph Macdonald’s “The Path” (as “Pathways”) and The Nite Liters all-time funk stunner “K-Jee” (as “K.G.E.T.”). The resulting tracks are expansive journeys in ethnological hand percussion, old skool house, and steamy jazz fusion, with kaleidoscopic rhythms bouncing through thick jungle growth, basslines working the body, electronic keys riffing, synth leads melting, pianos falling like rain, woodwinds blowing dreamspells, and soulful vocals scatting twilight magic. Best of all, the tracks are backed by a DJ dubs that have been fine tuned for maximum dancefloor ecstasy and the entire package is unified by a dynamic mixing job from Darshan Jesrani.
The Lemko Unlimited Orchestra - Pathways / K.G.E.T. (Balearic, 2019) Crickets chirp amidst layered world percussion at the beginning of “Pathways,” with tightly wound hand drums rolling over deep conga vocalisms. Hi-hats hiss and sticks keep time as piano arpeggios drift down from the sky, with their shimmering melodies eventually backed by sprightly xylophones. Four-four kick drums, cow bells, and skittering shakers move alongside a marauding synth bassline, resulting in an evocative combination of vintage deep house and mystical rainforest sorcery. Spectral atmospheres and phaser hazes swirl across the stereo field and pianos bang ecstatically while new age pan-pipes flutter amidst chiming starlight. Elsewhere, during a moment when the anxious layers peel back, idiophones walk through a jazzy nightscape, piano chord clusters converse with ivory-sourced ocean hazes, and minimal rhythms evoke beachside jungle romance, with woodwinds dancing through cinematic motions. We then burst into a passage of urgent rhythmic energy and morphing synthesizer leads, wherein the bass thuds deeply as it abandons the jacking house energies in favor of primal body magic. Returning to the jungle house prowl, futuristic keyboards drop minimal riffs as fusion solos blur into a psychedelic swirl…all while hi-hats work between urgent pulses and laid back glides. And though it’s already so infectious and transportive, the best is yet to come, as near the end of the track, Yevhem Bubon enters, first scatting alone amidst a vibrant world of rhythm, then cooing soulfully above exotica flute leads, mallet instruments, and melting electronics.
Tumblr media
In “K.G.E.T.,” reversing loops background bells and windchimes until the kick drum enters, thudding powerfully as keyboards drop further fusion riffs. A low slung tribal groove develops, with deep earthen bass energies underlying balafons that seem to skip across rippling light waves. Filtering riffs fire wildly as hand drums fall into polyrhythmic madness and once the jacked out bassline emerges, everything seems to swing along hypnotically, with cymbals increasing in strength and idiophones dancing on clouds. There’s a delirious moment where it all devolves into freaky jazz percussion weirdness, only to quickly slam back into all out groove hypnosis, where squelching future funk electronics suck backwards while mind-piercing bell tones flit above mid-bass chord play. Aquatic solos flow deep in the ether as ethnological percussion locks into a forest ceremonial and in something of an early climax, dream house keyboards mutate then climb towards the stars in flamboyant disco perfection. Later, acid lines gurgle across the spectrum and pianos run joyously up and down the scale before an eruption into bluesy synth solo histrionics, all hypnotic sunbeam spirals and 70s fusion runs sparkling through the night. Behind the subdued solo pyrotechnics, rhythms pulse and transform…as if overcome by manic groove euphoria. And at the end of the track, every instrument locks together for blazing ascents that overflow with prog rock flamboyance.
Tumblr media
As for the DJ dubs, “Pathways (Version)” strips back the rhythmic layers, leaving just sparse congas, hi-hats, and stick clicks. That massive house bassline enters and we spend the rest of our time vibing out in world of snake charmer rattles, Latin jazz percussion, interstellar electronics, and deep beat grooves, while bells jingle softly in the distance. Elements of the mix sometimes flow through gaseous reverb and delay fx, which creates dubwise tracers amidst the sacred rhythmic minimalism, and occasionally, the skeletal dancefloor energies are broken up by soulful vocalisms, with Bubon’s doo wop scats drifting dreamily above a zoner club workout. Imagine a mythical danceloor sitting within a jungle of eternal night…a dark and sensual place of sweat and euphoria, with sinister animals observing the ecstatic body motions from the edge of the forest while the stars glow strangely overhead. For “K.G.E.T. (Version)” cymbals and bells are moved by haunted winds amidst reversing electronics. Kick drums pulse and shakers sit loudly in the mix…their rattling tones panning ear-to-ear as e-pianos drop spaceage riff patterns. Wild rhythmic energies flow around, with congas holding it down while various other percussive devices mimic the sounds of insects and amphibians. And as the song progresses, pianos flow in and out of the polyrhythmic panorama and gonzo acid lines work the mind into a psychosonic trance…as if Afro-cosmic music has been reduced to its essential rhythmic soul.

We'll meet again...
(part 1)
A Tangled RP story.
Featuring Rapunzel, Eugene, Varian, Judy(OC of @punkydodd ) , Robert and Emeline (my OC's)
***************
One night when the wind was blowing hard and the rain smattered against the windows, Rapunzel and her friends was all curled up together at Xaviers, listening to one of his many legendary tales.
This one told about a ghost that could be seen in the castle once every hundred years, however his knowledge was not enough to know why the ghost was there, just that it was, and that the particular night of this 100th night was coming soon.
Rapunzel was determined to seek this ghost out and see it for herself, who of her friends would be brave enough to follow with?
No one knows what they would meet.
*******
A few days later, Rapunzel was in full work of setting her plan to action of how to capture the ghost that would be, according to legend, show up, this very night in the ballroom, or at least she wanted to see it and perhaps even talk to it.
"There, that sure is a yummy looking cake! I would like to see the ghost passing by that without stopping!"
She said and dusted off her hands with a big excited grin.
“Uhhh...I’m pretty sure ghosts don’t eat cake Rapunzel”
Varian’s voice came from behind her. He had stopped by to check on and tweak his hot water invention as well checking on his friends.
"Oh nonsense! Who doesn't eat cake ? That's just plain crazy-talk."
Rapunzel said with a happy smile.
“Well technically ghosts don’t have a physical form, you know, cause they’re kinda...dead”
Varian chuckled a little awkwardly and rubbed the back his neck.
“But, I’m sure it appreciates the thought!”
He said with a smile and gave Rapunzel a thumbs up.
“Varian is right Raps.” Judy spoke, holding her tambourine. “I am quite positive that the spirit will tell us how they can be at peace.” Odette let out a honk while sitting on top of Judy’s head,
"Oh...well...they might not eat the cake....but at least they can look at it...."
Rapunzel grinned wider.
"Eeeeeeeh I CAN'T WAIT!"
Rapunzel squealed, twirled around and bounced.
Eugene let out a smile and a small chuckle of this. There is just something about her that can brighten up anyone’s life, almost anyone.
“Yeah! But are you sure it’s friendly though?”
Varian asked, a little cautious.
“I mean we don’t know how or why it’s here, for all we know it could be a ancient spirit out for revenge or something”
"Oh....but I've dealt with ghosts before....remember Ruthless Ruth and Eugenes ancestors...that went well, right ?"
Rapunzel laughed a bit.
"If cake doesn't lure it, we always have Judys amazing singing, right ? Oh oh should we build a trap ? Just in case ?"
“A trap?” Judy blinked. “What kind of trap are you think of? Will it work on a spirit?” She tilt her head.
“If it doesn’t work, I have every guard guarding each entrance if things get out of hand.” Eugene added. He pointed to a dozen royal guards standing by any entrance to the ballroom.
“I could probably whip up something”
Varian spoke up and crossed his arms with a little smug smile.
“I mean not to brag but I’m pretty good at setting up traps”
“I’ll take the first watch Sunshine.” Eugene said. “You and the other rest for a while.” He smiled at Rapunzel and gave her a kiss on her forehead.
"Aaaw thank you Eugene~"
She replied and nuzzled him a little bit.
"Okay Varian, you think you have time to whip up a trap before dark ?" She then said as she walked out of the ballroom with him and Judy, Pascal sitting on her shoulder.
“Just leave it to me! Oh! I need to make plans! Ah, I’ll see you guys later!”
Varian exclaimed before rushing off to his lab to prepare for his future trap.
"Alright...let's get pillows and blankets out Judy....we need to pick a good place for our stakeout ..."
Rapunzel said, stretching a bit.
“You got it Raps.” Judy give a thumbs up. Odette honk in agreement while rubbing her eyes.
*********
A few hours later, everyone was gathered in the castle again, waiting and waiting for the ghost to show up.
Varian was setting up the last part of his trap.
“Aaaaand done! I think this the biggest trap I’ve made yet!”
He smiled and crossed his arms, pretty proud of himself.
Judy looked up at the trap Varian made. Odette let out a bewildered honk.
“Whoa, Varian you've outdone yourself.” Judy said, staring at the trap.
"I hope it works”
Varian said and corrected his goggles a bit, leaning against the wall. He was getting curious about the ghost and what it wanted, he kinda also wondered what it was made of, maybe if his trap worked he could get a sample to study.
“So? What can we do while we wait for the ghost to appear?” Judy asked. She sat down on the floor and have her legs crossed.
"I don't know? I'm way too excited to sleep..." Rapunzel said and sat down.
"Play cards maybe ?"
“Cards sound good”
Varian replied and plopped down on the floor crosslegged, he placed two fingers to his mouth and whistled, his trusty raccoon friend popping its head out his satchel that he had placed on the floor and brought over a little bag of ham sandwiches before climbing up on the boy’s shoulders.
“I brought some sandwiches incase we get hungry”
He said and petted Ruddiger on the head.
Judy smiled. “Thanks Varian.” Odette sat on Judy’s lap, curl herself in a white ball.
Eugene smiled at the three while he is standing by the wall and his hands behind his back.
The gang played and talked and ate, however slowly they started to get tired and fall asleep one by one.
An hour before midnight there was some eerily, yet enchanting music that started to play slowly, it sounded far away and yet close.
Smoke started to seep in from the outside and slowly taking the form of a young woman in the middle of the room, she was dressed in a black dress, clearly in the style of hundreds and hundreds of years ago, her skin was pale.
She seemed to be waiting for something, but what ?
To be continued...

SO!
Since it is my musical of the moment! I figured I’d write down five reasons every character in the show is AWESOME!  SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS (Ethan Slater)       1. His endless enthusiasm and optimism makes serotonin flow       2. His physical comedy and motions are incredible and HOLY SHIT BENDY!       3. The Laugh, omg THE LAUGH       4. The brief moments when Ethan drops the character voice are priceless       5. Not a Simple Sponge is a hella bop, and Ethan nailed it!
PATRICK STAR (Danny Skinner)       1. The recurring theme of people ignoring/interrupting him makes the one point where he SNAPS about it really effective... and then two seconds later, he gets cut off again.       2. Love the Tambourine/Hambone work       3. IS MAYONNAISE AN INSTRUMENT??       4. The song “I Guess I Miss You” serves as a rare moment where Patrick shows deep emotion, and I love it, and Spongebob in that song as well.       5. In “BFF” whenever Spongebob ‘spells’ the letters in the air, Patrick mimics him... only Patrick is obviously illiterate and just waves his hand randomly. SQUIDWARD TENTACLES (Gavin Lee)       1. Just the entire characterization. Everyone is great, but Gavin NAILED Squidward. His facial expressions, his voice, his body language, everything is SPOT ON. Great Job.       2. The Extra Legs were wonderful, and I really wonder how long it took Gavin to master them!       3. That showstopper, y’all       4. Squidward gets happy moments for a change, and that makes ME happy!       5. “Mama...” *kiss*
SHELDON J. PLANKTON (Wesley Taylor)       1. THAT SPEED RAP OMG       2. His body movements as a whole are turned up to 11 and I LOVE IT.       3. SHELDON AND KAREN ARE A LOVING COUPLE FOR A CHANGE       4. It’s highly implied he gets frisky with his computer wife, which again, YES!       5. IT’S LEMON SCENTED!!!
SANDY CHEEKS (Lili Cooper/Christina Sajous)       1. KA-RA-TAY EVERYWHERE       2. She is slow and cautious to forgive her fellow citizens after their prejudice and I’m glad for that. It shows maturity in a show aimed for kids.       3. Her hair is her “Helmet”. LOVE THAT.       4. Her similies are priceless as always.       5. People joke about “Shared Braincells” in their fandoms. Sandy Cheeks holds the braincell for the entirety of Bikini Bottom, and she DOES. NOT. SHARE.
MR. EUGENE KRABS & PEARL (Brian Ray Norris &  Jai'len Christine Li Josey)       1. OH MY SWEET JESUS JAI’LEN’S VOICE       2. The song “Daddy Knows Best” is actually two different song styles in one duet, reflecting the two conflicting personalities       3. They actually have a side comment about Pearl and her Dad not being the same species.       4. *DOLPHIN NOISES*       5. Did I MENTION Jai’len’s voice???? Other Notable Parts:       1. I love Perch Perkins. I really, really do.       2. The entirety of the Mayor’s character is a political statement and I’m here for THAT.       3. The sign language “I love you”s bring me life, joy, and again, serotonin       4. If this show didn’t have the sound effects, it wouldn’t work nearly as well. That foley artist makes the shit SPARK!       5. TOM KENNY AS PATCHY THE M*****F***** PIRATE        6. The fact that one of the pirates from “Poor Pirates” is a damn BUCKO speaks to me on levels as a Pittsburgh sports fan.       7. Mrs. Puff is indeed a heavy drinker.       8. “Fifty Years Later...”       9. Gary may be a snail on a skateboard, but the scenes with him and Spongebob are some of my favorites      10. And again, despite everyone being “Human” you know precisely who each person is supposed to be from the show. And that’s AWESOME So, in conclusion, GO WATCH SPONGEBOB. Seriously, the shit is less than 5 bucks on amazon, it’s worth it.  Do you want the serotonin? This is how you get the serotonin!
