Little bit of work before a really busy week.

Nowadays, I am struggling with dissociating myself from my assumptions towards others' perceptions of me. It is really annoying and starts overthinking wormholes... I am trying to remind myself to focus only on me and just have a kind, general attitude outward.

One of my favorite Irish quotes: "Here’s to a long life and a merry one. A quick death and an easy one. A pretty girl and an honest one. A cold pint and another one!" 🍀 Today was the most lovely day I've had in forever. Spent the afternoon reading on the patio - started and finished an entire book today! Murder, Mississippi River bayou, bit of magic and mystery, so good. That's my 3rd book I've finished this week. Huge nerd, 🤓 Then kitchen dance party with the wild child. Music loud, singing even louder, I hope the neighbors like Olivia Rodrigo, lol. She baked brownies to top with mint chip ice cream, I cooked potatoes and pork chops. 💚 Now, she's leading some epic online Dungeons and Dragons shenanigans, and I'm taking a bath with the biggest bubbles. Tomorrow the wild one's dad takes her to the salon - she's going shorter and dying her hair blue and is *ecstatic* we finally allowed her hair to match her personality, lol. Then Sunday she has a mall date with friends from musical theater for lunch and chaos. You have no idea how happy my heart is to see her happy for a minute. 💙💙💙 Cheers to the weekend! 1/100 days of productivity

During half of the weekdays, I was sick and had to spend two days in bed. So, I need to catch up on some work before the upcoming week begins. Today is Sunday, and I'm planning to start working on an article, although I'm not certain if I can finish it today. Also, I have to review my supervisor's ethics plan since I need to begin writing my own.

I'm gradually adapting to life in a different country, even though I don't know the language yet. Since it's still Europe, there aren't significant cultural differences, but I realize the importance of learning the language. I'm determined to motivate myself to spend my free time more productively. I've discovered a beginner's short story collection in French that I plan to start reading.

I have a lot of plans for the upcoming week, but I need to be realistic about what I can accomplish... I experience a unique sensation when I listen to classical music or when I'm surrounded by old buildings, immersed in the ambiance of an antique library, with rain pattering outside, everything cloaked in fog and darkness. I love this atmosphere so much that I feel I could work all day in such an environment. It would be amazing to discover a library or café in the city that captures this same mood.
