I just finished the 4.2 Archon Quest and i can't help but continue to be suspicious of Zhongli for being the only version of him to ever exists in Teyvat.

There are the nameless Bard and Venti.

There are Makoto and Ei.

There are Rukkhadevata and Nahida.

and now Focalors and Furina.

Every Archon has some kind of Double or Doppelganger, or simply a Mirrorself - someone who LOOKS and acts like the first or tries to live the former dreams, goals and ideals. They aren't the only one with their face, there were at some point two of them in Teyvat (As if they were twins, but only one remained...well, in case of makoto and ei that's literally what happend but you get it) There already once was someobody conscious with the Face the current Archon wears.

Except for Zhongli. He is the only one with a face that belongs just to him. There is no counterpart or mirror, no friend or sibling, he didnt split himself into two, his face is unique and yet he is also the only one who keeps it hidden in every cutscene...

We've now seen Vax and Vex's connected threads of fate severed. They're on different paths now, not fated to always be connected, because now Vax's fate is directly tied to the Matron of Ravens (to death).

And you know what else?

Vax is the only one in the opening who doesn't see or react to the thread of fate. All of Vox Machina does, save him.

Vax is the only one who won't have the same fate as the rest of his friends and family. He's destined to be on a separate path from the rest of them. Vox Machina gets to stay together. They're all connected. No matter how much he may want to be, Vax doesn't have that connection. And one day, he'll have to walk away to where his thread of fate leads him to. To the Matron. To death. To divinity.

Without his family.

Hey Bear! I read your story about the rabid raccoon and something that intrigued me a little was how the director mentioned rabid raccoon’s eyes glow green when you shine a light into them. I decided to look into it and I was wondering if the raccoon may have had distemper rather than rabies or possibly both? I found some mentioning of that particular symptom with distemper but none like that for rabies. Though, distemper, as far as I’ve found, is very similar and just as deadly and infectious so I suppose it doesn’t matter all that much.

This possibility was raised to me a while back (though they were much less friendly about it lol), and I agree that it's possible we were seeing the effects of canine distemper--at least as far as the "green eyes" symptom was concerned!

I never really mentioned it on here, because it actually wound up leading to some legal entanglement, but the director at that wildlife rehab clinic was... maybe not the sort of person who should be making diagnoses or medical decisions or really even working in wildlife rehabilitation at all. His heart was definitely in the right place, but uh. You can have your heart in the right place and still follow the law, Ron.

Anyway, whatever that raccoon had, it was definitely something I didn't want to catch.

Baby Harv really tried to play the narrative of 'I love my dad and I'm fine it's okay if he punishes me because I do bad things' but that didn't last very long.

He can't pinpoint the moment he - y'know - got broken down the middle. He felt better afterwards. Dad could punish his bad parts and Harvey could still be good, and Dad could still love him.

He was a kid with a predisposition to mental illness in an incredibly abusive, scary, unfair living situation where he didn't know if he was going to come home to Dad taking him to the ball park or Dad beating and torturing him for his shortcomings.

He fully believed his dad would kill him & worst of all, he didn't know if he deserved it for something he'd done.
