Team Bolas knows they’ve put the largest target on their backs. They know they’re not a weak as they used to be, that they need to get ready to fight like hell. They know the other teams aren’t going to show them kindness anymore, and they’ll be ready as much as a dysfunctional family like them can. And if they’re not ready at all?
That’s the amazing thing about Bolas. You can take everything from them- burn their gear, destroy their base, but it won’t stop them. As long as they have each other, they can come back from anything.
the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again
haikyuu is NOT realistic!!!! and it's not because of the underdog plotline or the insane athletic skill or funky character designs but because in the timeskip everyone gets a job that they are perfectly content with and more or less suits them to a tee and don't seem concerned for their futures whatsoever all before the age of thirty
Penny stardewvalley makes me so sad because she's SO sensitive to, like, basically everything you tell her (telling her that you can't stand children while two children are nearby is a pretty lousy move but -1500 friendship?? being a jerk to other characters' faces typically loses you about 50 points, and if you choose the option labeled "creepy" and ask Leah for a kiss in her 2 heart event she physically hits you and kicks you out of her house but that's only -100 friendship…) and so if you want to befriend her it's a whole lot of lying and tiptoeing around her feelings (2 hearts: George was right but saying that makes her feel bad. 6 hearts: her food sucks but even if you try to be polite about it she feels like a failure; only a bald-faced lie pleases her. 8 hearts: saying you don't want to be tied down with a family loses you a little bit of friendship and she's only happy if you say you want kids) and I can't help but think she's a product of her environment. She lives in a trailer with only her mother, who gets drunk every night and has something of a temper. Penny's like a skittish rescue animal who won’t even come out from hiding under something unless you leave her lots of treats
currently obsessed with young tony and older peter from the new ultimate comic run - please go read it, its so interesting so far (ultimate spider-man #1 2024)
quick space mining thing to get zedaph out of my mind. patchwork of a man. bonuses below
zed is not a very prominent character? hes the only one that really explores the idea of genetic modification, as it is not something i myself am very interested in (at first i made it exclusively so characters dont have to look too human...). wanting to create something like what the vex was supposed to be, he experimented on himself, and everything turned out so bad he needed to kidnap a wanted accidential terrorist. who is also one of the people who revolutionized space mining and knows more about the alive space rocks zed used as his baseline than every other character combined
i wanted to draw the earthians (grian pearl and jimmy) today and explain a bit more what space mining even is, but eeeh. have zedaph the best gender affirming surgeon. i feel like i need to mention that im a graphic designer by education and not anything even remotely science related, so im very much bullshitting my way through all of this. i have scenes in my head that look cool and everything else is a whatever. bless
this is a controversial take but i don’t really think sexual wincest dynamic would be the same as the dynamics they have with girls. mostly because this interpretation tends to ignore canonical nuances that define sam and dean’s relationship, which includes dean’s extreme possessiveness, sam’s willing submissiveness with dean (especially when it comes to physical touch), the fact that dean is the only one with whom sam is able to be physically vulnerable in a way he can’t with anybody else, the fact that dean genuinely loves taking care of his little brother. it’s an essential part of their relationship, and it just makes sense for it to be part of their sexual dynamic too
The thing about Jinjae that took me way too long to realize that. Its not about a cold, bored guy finding someone interesting and then the curiosity slowly turning into genuine feelings or whatever. He's always cared for Yoojin since the beginning– as an item, as a business partner, as a friend, as a lover.
Not all of those dynamics had been the healthiest, but Yoojin has been loved, all the same. The development over the course of the novel was not Hyunjae learning to love someone, it was him discovering the way that Yoojin wanted to be loved– as an equal.
