Arthurian Legends | Dark Platonic King Arthur Pandragon x Daughter Reader x Dark Platonic Various

You are the twin of Mordred, and the child of King Arthur and Morgan Le Fay.

As you grew up, your mother mother shielded you, by placing protection spells on you, and also teaching you about healing using magic.

and she filled Mordred's head with hate on Arthur, claiming that he stole her birthright.

Mordred grew up with hatred in his heart towards Arthur, while you refused to hold ill intentions towards your father.

But that didn't stop you and Mordred from being inseparable and bonding as twins.

Whenever you have a suitor, Mordred gets rid of them with the help of his mother.

Morgan pushed you and your twin to reveal that you are his children at the court.

Mordred is quick to object on you coming with him, believing it to be dangerous.

You, on the other hand, did not want to ruin Arthur's marriage with Guinevere, yet you didn't wish to make your mother sad.

So, you started your journey with your twin.

Mordred made the first appearance by saving the king on a hunting trip, making Arthur knight him therefore he joins the Round Table.

Then Mordred introduces you to the court before announcing that the both of you are the children of the King

Arthur wanted to deny it even if he knew it was true, but when he saw how embarrassed you felt, he confirms it instead.

Later that day, you approach him and Guinevere shyly, stuttering out words of apology.

"I apologise for my brother's behavior and causing disturbance"

Your apology made Arthur obsessed with the idea of protecting you from any harm.

While Guinevere fall in love with the idea of you being her step-daughter.

She didn't have any children of her own, so you being her daughter is a really exciting thought.

Arthur makes sure to spend time with you bringing you on hunting trips with him and the knights of the round table.

He made you a tiara decorated with all types of rare stone gems for you to wear at all times.

Arthur would notice the closeness you have with Mordred which makes him decide to intask his son with many responsibilities so, you could spend more time with him instead of your twin.

"Your brother is occupied with his new responsibilities, allow to accompany you instead"

Merlin would grant you any wish you want, being more soft with you unlike how he is with Arthur when he was your age.

The old wizard also tries to advice your father to not keep you and your twin apart as it would might cause havoc.

But Arthur chose to ignore the warning, letting platonic obsession with you win.

On the other hand, Guinevere would take you with her on walks in the early morning.

Insisting you call her mother while she picks out expensive fabrics for the new dresses she ordered to be made for you.

"I wish for you to call me mother and to consider as such from now on"

"But, I have a mother, my queen"

"She is not here now, is she? I'm the wife of your father, so I'm your legitimate mother"

Mordred realizing that you are drafting away from him, your twin decided to cause chaos.

He exposed Guinevere in front of the whole court for having an affair with Lancelot, only to have his father cast her aside and order her death.

You try to reason with Arthur to spare her but seeing your love for her only made the king insistent on excuting.

The whole affair scandal caused a civil war.

Arthur decided to leave the kingdom and you in the care of Mordred while he went into war against Lancelot.

You helped Guinevere escape before she could get executed.

While Mordred seized the opportunity to ursurp the throne and become a king, allowing Morgan into the castle so all of you three could live together.

But you weren't pleased, taking a horse, you go to inform Arthur about what has occurred in his absence, making decide to return to reclaim the throne.

Thinking that Arthur has kidnapped and held you captive, Mordred almost went insane about how you, his twin, the other part of him, isn't by his side.

So, he went with an army to the battle of Camlann against Arthur's army.

The father and son stabbed each other severely, so both could die.

The end.

Remember when your mother taught you about healing?

Well, it came to use, as you healed both Mordred and Arthur.

You made them both agree on peace, with Mordred returning the throne to your father, while Arthur forgives Mordred and open a new page.

Arthur banished Morgan, so she doesn't influence you and your twin ever again.

You, Arthur, and Mordred live in peace as a happy family.

“y/n?” you perk up at the familiar voice, quick to leave your conversation with ann and mira. 

“chishiya!” he stands with his hands stuffed into the pockets of a white jacket. he’s wearing a pair of swim trunks and sandals. you can barely see his wristband from where the sleeve of his jacket ends. “i can never get rid of you, can i?” you tease.

“i suppose not.” chishiya leans back against the wall, a little uncomfortable at the stares of the other beach members in the room. 

sensing his discomfort, you glance over your shoulder at them. “ah, i should give you a tour. have you picked a room yet?” 

“i was hoping you could help with that.” 

you tug chishiya along with you, guiding him through the different areas of the beach. 

your shoulders brush against each other as you sit by the pool, dunking your legs in the cold water. “how long have you been here?” you ask. 

“just a few days,” chishiya replies. “i’m still not entirely sure what’s going on.” 

you glance behind you over your shoulder, dropping your voice to a whisper. “you know about the visas and the cards?” he nods, subtly leaning in a little closer. “hatter thinks we’ll be able to send someone back to the normal world once we collect all of the cards.”

“you don’t think so?” 

you sigh. “i’m not sure. we only have a few cards right now, but something tells me it won’t be that easy.” despite the pool being completely empty, you lean in even closer to chishiya to whisper in his ear. “i don’t think we can trust the people here.” chishiya shivers. your breath is warm against his neck. he can feel his ears burn slightly when you pull away. 

an unfamiliar feeling settles itself in his stomach. fear? dread? anxiety? you kick small ripplies into the water, slowly reaching over to hold his hand. despite all of the unknowns he’s sure you’ll be forced to confront, chishiya finds comfort in the feeling of your hand in his. 

chishiya paces along the outside of the beach, continuously looking out at the horizon. “waiting for someone?” kuina asks, leaning back against the wall of the hotel. chishiya sighs, knowing her question is rhetorical. 

“y/n’s not back yet.” 

kuina pushes off of the wall, suddenly serious. “they’re not?” he shakes his head, looking out into the darkness again. “well, do you know who they were with during their last game? maybe someone knows something.” 

“i haven’t seen anyone since i came back.” 

“what about the other executives? have you told them?” chishiya doesn’t answer. “there has to be something we can do, right? what about-” 

“hey!” in the distance they can barely see a man struggling to pull someone towards the beach. “help me! i need help!” 

kuina is quick to react, rushing over to the man. chishiya watches her as she runs to meet him, gasping. “chishiya!” she yells. “it’s y/n!” 

he can almost feel the blood in his body go cold. kuina shoves herself underneath your other arm, helping the man pull you to the beach. it feels like the world has stopped - everything frozen at this moment in time. 

after what feels like forever chishiya manages to will his body to move, rushing to you. blood coats your side and jacket, seeping through your shirt. he presses a hand against your wound, supporting your weight. 

“what happened?” he hopes his voice isn’t shaking. 

“they had crossbows,” the man pants. “i had to pull it out but i think it went straight through. i didn’t know what else to do.” 

“chishiya,” you whimper, clutching his body. 

“it’s okay,” he whispers. “it’s gonna be okay.” 

you grunt as he wraps an arm around your waist, lifting your body into his arms. you cling to his body, letting him carry you into the beach’s basement. he gently sets you on a metal table before frantically searching through the room for medical supplies. kuina leans over you, pressing a towel against your side. you wince at the pressure, tears stinging your eyes. 

“sorry,” she whispers. “i’m sorry.” 

chishiya takes over for her soon after, moving the towel to the side. “this is gonna hurt,” he warns. you grab his hand, squeezing it. 

“i trust you.” 

the pain is sharp and sudden. it feels like someone is pressing on your chest, preventing any air from entering your lungs. the ceiling above you blurs into a mix of blue lighting and gray metal before it all goes black and the world disappears. 

the pain has subsided greatly when you wake up. your vision is blurry as you blink a few times, trying to clear your vision. sunlight shines through open curtains, illuminating the hotel room you lay in. it’s clean - cleaner than your room. the sheets feel nice against your skin. 

you grunt, forcing yourself to sit up. your body aches as you lean back against the headboard. the door opens quietly before it closes. a man sighs before he enters. “chishiya?” your voice is raspy when you try to speak. your throat stings. 

“y/n,” chishiya rushes to your side, opening a bottle of water and handing it to you. you gulp it down quickly, desperate for any liquid. “how are you feeling?” 

“sore.” 

chishiya takes the empty bottle, sitting down next to you. he reaches out to grab your hand, running his thumb along your knuckles. his voice is quiet when he speaks again. “you really scared me, you know.” 

“about me dying? come on, you can’t get rid of me that easily.” you squeeze his hand. “chishiya,” you whisper. he looks down at you. “i’m okay. you saved me.” 

“i know, i just…” he sighs, staring back down at your hands. you intertwine your fingers together, a silent way of encouraging him to continue. “i can’t lose you. you were back late, and then when you make it here you were hurt. and then you passed out and…” chishiya takes a deep breath, tension from his shoulders relaxing a little. “i don’t want to see you hurt. i love you.” 

“‘shiya,” you bring a hand up to his face, wiping away a stray tear he hadn’t realized had fallen. you lift his chin, forcing him to look at you. “i know everything will be okay as long as i have you. i love you too.” 

chishiya gives you a small smile, pulling your hand up to press a kiss against your knuckles. “don’t ever do this to me again.” 

you chuckle. “i won’t. i promise.” 

you pull the chair out between chishiya and niragi, taking your seat at the executives table. arisu stands uncomfortably at the other side of the room, watching you. chishiya raises his hand, waving at him. you playfully elbow his side. “he’s nervous, leave him alone.” 

“i’m just waving,” he retorts. 

“you looked just like him when you got here,” you tease. “give him a break.” 

mira, ann, and kuzuryu sit across from you. on your right, next to niragi, aguni sits at the edge, right next to hatter. 

“we are here to discuss the potential promotion of our very own, arisu!” hatter enthusiastically introduces, pointing over at the man. arisu shifts uncomfortably at the attention. 

niragi scoffs. “are we really trusting him to be an executive?” 

“we’re trusting you to be an executive.” niragi glares at you, reaching for his rifle before ann interrupts. 

“he was able to win a seven of hearts. we haven’t seen that card before.” 

“it’s a seven of hearts,” mira exaggerates. “if arisu was able to win the game, then, we should be able to send someone back to the normal world soon.” 

“she’s right,” kuzuryu says, leaning back in his chair. “heart games are the most difficult.” 

“i vote for promoting him.” you say. under the table, chishiya reaches over to grab your hand. “he won a heart game we’ve never seen before. people have been promoted for less.” 

“why don’t we test him? send him into a game with an executive and see how he operates under the pressure.” ann suggests. hatter points at her, tutting. 

“now that’s a good idea. any objections?” after a few seconds of silence, hatter stands. “perfect! this meeting has been concluded.” 

chishiya’s hand remains in yours as you leave the room, slinking through the various corridors of the hotel you’ve found to a private area. “what are you thinking about arisu?” he asks. 

“he won a heart game and you said he was good in tag. he could be a useful ally.” he hums in agreement. 

the fire burns around you as you re-enter the remains of the hotel you used to call your home. a man stands in the center of what used to be the lobby, hands stuffed in his pockets. 

“chishiya?” you call, avoiding the heat as you step closer. he glances over his shoulder at you, picking something up off of the table. you lean over to see what he’s holding. it’s a card. the ten of hearts. 

“you were right, you know,” he says, throwing the card back onto the table. he smiles when you cock your head at him in confusion. “when i first arrived, one of the first things you said to me was that i shouldn’t trust the people here. you were right.” chishiya steps closer, intertwining his hands with yours. “i’m starting to think collecting the cards was pointless after all.” 

the flames around you only grow stronger. “as much as i’d like to bask in your praise, we really need to leave,” you say, reaching over to grab his arm. “let’s go. kuina’s waiting.” he hums, pressing a kiss against your temple as he follows you out.

Maybe it's just me but I noticed that people who tended to like 3H were sometimes trying to find some of the topic it dealt with in Engage thinking it's the only way a story can be deep rather then focusing on the topic Engage does tackle and try to see the full depth of it.

I think the example I think of is the banditry in Engage. People assume the bandits are doing it because of economic struggles inherent to society because it's how it was tackled in 3H rather then going by what the text says about it, that's to say that banditry in Firene is implied to be born because of the laxism of the governement created cause by the over-pacificist side of Firene (dialogue of post battle in chapter 6) rather then by economical struggles, which story wise make more sense as Firene is presented as a country who is the complete opposite of one that would favorise the birth of banditry due to poverty. We do know however it's a country whose military aid is more defensive then offensive, that it doesn't have guard border to protect it and that the banditry activity mainly takes place at the border of Firene/Brodia. The support and the main story and Anna's paralogue dealing with banditry made it rather clear that each time, those bandits were operating near the border or Firene and attacking merchants, the one exception being Teranada who slaughtered an entire village near that border. In the original version of her A support with Alear, Céline never mentionned the nationality of the thieves she excuted. Teranda possibly comes from Brodia whose economical struggle due to war are actually knonw, as for Mitan... well, we don't really know either but seeing how Anna from from Elusia, she could be from somewhere else too and decided to settle near the Brodia/Firene border to do her mischief, taking the ruins as a base. After all, even if a character comes from another country, he can still beneficiate from the nationality. Take Mauvier for example. He is a Firenese native yet his name is based on a color, like all the member of the Gradlon faction. He also wear the priest clothing of Lythos, which all people linked to Gradlon such as Zelestia, Veyle and Nel. Rafal wears the Brodian outfit. So even if she came from another place, Mittan could still wear the Firenese color and theme simply because she moved to live there. Teranda however, we know settled in the montain only for a moment since it's rather recently he killed all the villagers. So it makes more sense for them to be bandits who took advantage of the weakness of Firene's defense and their laxist approach to the matter then it being poverty or economical hardship... since we never learn if there is any economical hardship to begin with.

But rather then going in this direction, people will try to bring Fodlan as a proof they are right and then will complain that Engage isn't following the direction that it never even tried to grasp to begin with but hum. My personal take on fiction when it comes to politics is that if a setting is fictional, then it's the rule of this setting that should be applied, independtly of irl events and the rules for other settings. In 3H, banditry is said to be caused by financial struggle, we notable see that in the war phase, as the merchant of the monastery reduced to banditry because of the poverty and misery war created upon civilian.

However, Firene doesn't at all fit the description. It's described as the wealthiest kingdom, called the Kingdom of Abundance. Its name pattern theme being fashion brands comes from that and they choosed spring as their season for crying out loud ! Spring. It's the season of wealth and peace. The symbolic is clear.

If a country doesn't fit the same economical situation/political situation/social situation as another this means the rules and stakes are different. You cannot judge Firene by using Fodlan, the rules established by 3H etc. You can only judge it by what the story says about this country, what it establishes etc.

It's a choice made by the writers. That's how it is. Take the writing as is and try to see how deep it can go from there rather then try to take a notion from another setting to apply it no matter what the actual text says about it and be disappointed it doesn't take things into account.

Oh hey it's a fairly reasonable guy. In Bungou Stray Dogs. How ni- oh he's so dead.

He's a really well-excuted character for the role he serves in the story, and while I more appreciate his role than the character himself, his vibes are on point.

Favorite moment

God Dark Era's so fucking good as a whole but. Honestly. The moment after the kids explode- the line about how he only realized he was the one screaming when his throat started hurting absolutely makes me feral oh my god.

Idea for a story

A continuation(?) of this fic I wrote where I sort of elaborate on the relationship he and Ango develop, and what his life in the Port Mafia is like now that... well.

Unpopular opinion

Dazai and Oda are just platonic friends. It's not a one-sided crush, it's not a papa-son adoption, it's not a brotherly thing, it's a friendship. Maybe it's the aro-aceness but I really do think their relationship is at it's most powerful when it's percieved that way.

Favorite relationship

Buraiha Trio is iconic okay. The Oda-Dazai dynamic means so much to both of them

Favorite headcanon

Despite most assuming that the line in BEAST means Oda dies in every universe but BEAST, I take the line to mean that there are universes where he lives, he just doesn't become a writer like he wants to. And that is just as heartbreaking.

A continuation of the PM Ango AU because the man is already so, so sad, and that AU just. Does not help make him any less sad.

I like Odango as a ship and I like exploring it as such, but I don't think of as it as canon or interpret canon through that lense.

Do I even have to say the Buraiha Trio? (But Mushitaro and Ango's dynamic and the places it could go is a close second.)

Gonna be honest a guy trying to off himself should not be this funny but like. It is extremely funny.

A morally gray character I can actually comfortably call morally grey is so, so nice, and I do like that despite his awful past he's trying very hard to do good. Can't call him a good person, but he's doing good things, good for him.

Favorite moment

That one fairly early scene in the Ranpo episode where they have to pull him out of the river, probably.

Idea for a story

Hm, I don't usually write Dazai-centric stuff? (With the exception of the Copycat one) but either something focusing on him and Chuuya's dynamic in the Agency Chuuya AU, where Dazai has to reconcile the boy he met all those years ago with the man he's now coworkers with today... or a scene from a different AU, where Dazai meets a Port Mafia boss at a cafe, and the two of them talk about the tragedy that befell Mori Ogai four years before.

Unpopular opinion

SKK is a fascinating and dynamic ship, but I think the fandom is really sleeping on exploring his dynamics with other characters, especially in AUs that tend to center around SKK. It's not something I feel super negatively on, just a bit oversaturated with it.

I am once again holding up Buraiha Trio as my favorite canon example, but I also love to deconstruct the SKK dynamic in settings where they aren't Double Black

Y'know that scene where he's fighting Atsushi and when he gets kicked back we get a flashback to Dazai kicking him back like that, and every moment prior gets recontextualized as we realize that Akutagawa is a direct victim of Dazai being at his worst while Atsushi is directly saved by Dazai being at his best? Yeah. Yeah that.

Idea for a story

I do want to continue his story from my Copycat AU one day, but I just... don't know how to, unfortunately.

I don't ship him with Atsushi. I understand the appeal and say go on shippers! I just personally don't wanna explore their dynamic romantically speaking.

However shipping aside I do still find the Akutagawa-Atsushi dynamic very compelling, and I hope we get to see more of them in the future.

Having the yearly fight with myself about sunscreen.

I know I need to wear it. I do tan pretty well and dont burn very easily, but I'm outside literally all day 5 days a week. My choices are long sleeves/pants, sunscreen, or cancer, and I know which one of those is the smart option.

Problem is, sunscreen and lotion and oil in general is Sensory Bad. Gods I hate wearing sunscreen! I sweat so much I have to reapply it all the time and it leaves an oily film on my skin that just makes me cringe. I also dont burn so I'm completly relying on my excutive functioning to force the issue.

There are some sunscreens that are better than others, but they are like, 12 a bottle where I could get a much bigger bottle of the store brand for 9 dollars. I'm already spending extra for the convience/dryer feeling of spray sunscreen instead of the lotion.

I know its not something I can wiggle my way around. I must wear sunscreen - even if I have to suck it up and buy more of the expensive brand. I'm just bracing myself for the next several months.

The Thenardiers lost their inn due to debt and now live in poverty in Montreuil but they blamed Madeleine for all their suffering

They both went outside and bumped into Gavaroch

The Barn Scene is so precious, I think it's officially my big 'pissed they junked this' moment for part 3. The Doctor pretending to fire the pistol and then showing them it was never loaded - "they're dangerous things" - Polly complimenting his outfit - "You saucy girl!" - Kirsty laughing and comparing him to her grandma & Polly noticing it's cheered her up - "you're wonderful!" "I know!" - The Doctor being sleepy and telling them about the Anabel & Trask while Polly tries to make a plan - the two of them convincing Kirsty it’s safer to leave Scotland - the fact that the Doctor’s plan ends with ‘let’s get a bunch of weapons and smuggle them onto the pirate ship that’s gotta be something right? whatever, I’ll think up the rest in the morning’ .... it’s just all so good, I have little intelligent to say but I’m sad it’s missing

realizing that I have a few slight disabilities that add up has done wonders for my self esteem actually,

I have terrible foot pain due to my feet being super flat, it makes it hard for me to do shit like get groceries even if I have my insoles in, it’s not that im lazy and want to sit down, Im just in higher than average pain constantly and walking for long periods makes it worse. sometimes if I dont wear my insoles a few days and just do day to day walking, i can barely stand it hurts so much

i have generalized anxiety disorder, it makes it hard to talk to people if I forget to take my meds, its hard to keep friendships and apply to jobs because I tend to assume im doing it wrong and they already hate me

i have adhd, life is hell every other day, i cant focus, i focus too much, i cant hear in crowds, i need subtitles, socializing is harder, excutive disfunction is a bitch, my adhd affects everything about my every moment

i’m not claiming I have it as hard as people who are in wheelchairs or are blind, i just want to point out that I shouldnt compare myself to standards that arent made for people like me. for way too long I had no clue why everything was so hard for me but easier for others, society as a whole needs to learn that not every condition that makes life harder is extremely apparent

The Forgotten Champions of the 77 Rings

The first two parts of JoJo don't get as much attention as the latter parts do, especially the first part, Phantom Blood.

As you know, Bruford and Tarkus were two knights who were resurrected by Dio to serve as his zombie minions when he took over Windknight's Lot. In life, they served as retainers for Queen Mary Stuart of Scotland until Queen Elizabeth II of England had her kidnapped. The two knights would fight Elizabeth's armies until she offered them Mary's safety in exchange for their surrender. As they were to be excuted, they were told of how their mistress had already been killed before them.

However, what you may not know, as this was cut from the anime version, was that before their execution, the two had once accomplished a challenge known as the 77 Rings, where warriors would traverse a 10-kilometer mountain range near the Lot. As said warriors traversed the harsh environment, they would each fight 77 soldiers positioned on said mountain range to the death. For each battle they won, they would wear a bracelet or anklet (the "Rings" in question), which when worn all at once, had a total weight of 100 kilograms (that's over two hundred pounds if you don't do metric).

Both Bruford and Tarkus accomplished the challenge together in the year 1563, with Bruford using his Danse Macabre Hair to compensate for the extra weight, but they weren't the only ones to have accomplished this grueling trek. There were three others that succeeded in the challenge in the centuries beforehand; they were just the only ones "lucky" enough in canon to be resurrected by Dio.

For the video game adaptation for PS2, you fight these three other warriors as zombie warriors in a mode based on the 77 Rings challenge. You could also fight them in an unlockable alternate final boss battle, where they would fight against Jonathan on the burning ship alongside Wang Chan, per Dio's orders.

Winzaleo, the Lion King

Year of completion: 1327

Winzaleo was a proud and boisterous warrior who was the first to accomplish the challenge. He was proficient in the use of axes and his strength was so impressive that when he struck the ground with his axe, it would generate seismic waves.

Eijkman, the Lightning Knight

Year of completion: 1389

Wielding a halberd that could somehow generate wind and lightning, Eijkman was known in life for his quick fighting style. It is likely that he was extremely loyal to whomever he served in life, as after his resurrection, he would speak nothing but praise towards his new master Dio.

Caineghis, the One-Eyed Man

Year of completion: 1408

Despite his position as a noble knight, Caineghis was a sadistic man who fought with little honor, and fought his opponents with a sense of perverse pleasure. This is notable with his choice of weapon, being a scimitar laced with poisonous fluids.

Trivia

Similar to Part 3 antagonist Midler, these three characters originally lacked distinct designs in the original manga, only appearing in in one panel as generic looking knights. Unlike Midler, their designs weren't created by Araki for the game, but rather by the development team. Araki would then look over these designs and provide his own little touches after the initial designs were presented to him.

In order to access the alternate final battle, one must attain an S rank in the previous chapter. Otherwise, the final chapter will consist of Jonathan fighting Dio (being carried by Wang Chan) and a bunch of zombies.

The reason behind the existence of an alternate final battle is because the developers of the PS2 game felt that the original ending of Part 1 wouldn't really translate into a good final boss fight, and so they consulted with Araki for ideas.

Another change made to the final battle was that Dio would not only kill the drunk Father Styx as he did in canon, but would also take his body for a short while before beheading himself once again.

To my greater knowledge, none of these three's names are musical references, unlike Bruford and Tarkus, who are named after a drummer and album respectively.

So... I was not in your blog when you started, so I know it's late, but at least I have an excuse for only now talking about what I don't personally get. I hope I am not gonna be a jerk about it, because I don't want to: There was a storyline about Zim used to not wanting to have a girl, which I don't think it makes any sense, unless some back-story is behind it in this AU. I mean, I get it what it was going for: Showing Zim is still a flawed individual and he has to overcome some of his personal demons to be mature to be a parent is a great concept and I think the excution was had effort put into it, but I don't think sexism is a character-flaw that should have been the one you choose for him, because it not only doesn't make sense for his character, it doesn't make sense for the Irken race as a whole. Gender literally doesn't matter to them: They treat them equally in their society. They also wear clothes solely based on their jobs and all of them can be anything. The thing they discriminate by is height and the view other races as inferior. And Zim himself doesn't show treating girls worse than boys. He treats people equally shitty (expect GIR and Mini, and maybe the Tallest?). It would make more sense if he didn't wanted the smeet(s) to look more human, because of internalized xenophobia. I know he is happily boyfriends with Dib at this point, but it's realistic for this kind of things not completely go away, not because the person is not trying per say, but because he had been subjected to propaganda from a very young age and it wouldn't be suprising if it was still deep inside his concious. Plus, you mentioned that he relapses. This could be a similar situation. Or them being really short, because despite being short, Zim can be pretty hypocritical and he was raised on an environment where short people are count as lesser beings. Or even the opposite: growing taller than their parent, despite he being their superior. Yeah, it doesn't matter on our planet, but he is still an Irken. Maybe these are stupid ideas, but I really find it odd how you had him learn not to be misognistic when he wasn't possessed this trait in the first place, instead of working on some bad trait he actually had. I am aware he should still feel Zim-like, so there is not gonna be a drastic change in character, but still. Yes, it's not canon, it's a Zadr-au, but you mentioned that Zim sees himself as a genderless, so why did he care so much? Okay, maybe it can be a situation that he doesn't have a problem with girls, but he himself doesn't want a girl. There are people like that in real life, but again he has no clear reason for that. Which brings me to my question: Is there an explanation why did you choose to go with this back than? (Is it got something to do what he learned about the gender rules while being on Earth?) Sorry, it's probably really outdated, but I am a late-comer, so... You don't have to answer of you don't want to, I am just would like it, of you did.

Okay this is a REALLY interesting question! And definitely about an outdated concept because I totally forgot about it. Haha. So zim isn’t supposed to be written to be misogynistic. but he doesn’t exactly always make sense either. Some things he did on this blog he just… did? But there wasn’t a deep reason. And if there was, I can’t remember what my thought process for what I chose that reaction for. As you said, he IS genderless and you’re correct gender doesn’t matter on irk with how their society goes, so….

If I were to give it in an explanation now I’d say that I think he just didn’t want a girl at the time and made everything overly dramatic but there was a hint of him being impressionable that he gained from the environment around him - as it’s not hard to start reacting to the world around you and letting it mess with your thoughts. The thought of gender is very confusing to him but also very prevalent here on earth and zim can take things very literally and deeply so I’d peg this to be the reason. however it’s not something you’ll really see again, I don’t think. After having his daughter zal, it’s given him quite a clear view of how he feels.
