BACK TO YOU — CHISHIYA X FEM!READER
MAJOR AIB SPOILERS !!
SUMMARY — you win the games and wake up in the hospital. remembering everything that happened in the borderlands and not knowing if chishiya made it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
your mouth was dry and it tasted like blood. your eyes opened slowly, getting used to the bright lights of the hospital room and you hissed when your hand landed on your temples. you had some cuts on your face, covered with gauzes and medical tapes, and some bruises too, especially around your eyes and on your cheekbones.
you looked around the room and you could see your mom's purse next to your bed, but she wasn't in the room. somethings never change, not even when you are at the hospital after having been dead for a few seconds. once you tried to sit on the bed, you felt a stabbing pain in your lower abdomen and then on your forearm. your hand went directly where it hurt in your belly and you realized that you were wearing a bigger gauze there and another of the same size on your arm, and at that moment a wave of memories hit you making you feel dizzy. the beach. the next level. the king of spades. chishiya.
chishiya.
you gasped and forced yourself to remember when was the last time that you saw him. niragi's gun was pointing at you when he suddenly stepped in the middle of your body and the bullet with your name written in it.
"why would you do it?" you asked him with tears in your eyes. chishiya just showed you a smirk. you told him that he needed to resist, that there were only two games left and everything will be over. a little smile remained on chishiya’s lips as he nodded slowly. he knew that by the time you completed the games he wouldn't be there. you wanted to stay by his side but usagi and arisu dragged you out of there when the zeppelin of the king of spades appeared.
the last thing you remember from that day was lying next to kuina and ann on the cold ground. your back hurt and your wounds didn't stop bleeding as you watched the fireworks and listened to what you were being asked. "i decline." you finally answered, with tears in the corners of your eyes.
you got up from the hospital bed and noticed that you were sharing a room with someone else. that someone in the room with you was separated from your side with a curtain. with small steps and with a hand on your belly, right where your wound was, you approached the curtain, and being extremely careful, you had a quick peek to the other side. you took a sharp breath after you recognized the boy on the other side. his thick brown hair was stuck to his forehead, and just like you, he had some gauzes on his face. he gave a small jump on the bed when he noticed that someone was staring at him from a small opening in the curtain, but his frown relaxed once he recognized you.
"y/n?" he asked, still a bit confused.
"arisu." you removed the curtain completely and his eyes opened wide. he removed the blanket from himself and turned his body to let his legs hang from the bed, ready to get up from the moment he saw you. you were quicker than him and hugged him, maybe a little too hard because you both hissed when your bodies collided. you stayed like that for a few seconds more and then he asked you if you were okay, and how long had been since you woke up.
"a minute?" you asked him. your head hurt. "everything- everything happened in a minute. all the games, all the deaths? in a minute?"
arisu nodded. you gulped. all the things you lived with chishiya happened in sixty seconds. you felt like you could throw up. you shook your head and decided to talk about anything else. "did usagi make it?"
"yes. she was with me when we finished the last game."
you nodded, glad to hear that your friend was alive. "kuina and ann also made it. i think i heard aguni and akane too but i can't remember well."
arisu then understood. you knew that all of your friends made it but not if he did. "i'm sure- i'm sure he's here. i'm sure chishiya got out."
you shook your head with your eyes closed. arisu didn't know that. when the king of spades appeared and him and usagi separated you from chishiya, his white jacket was already soaked in blood. the first bullet hit him in a noncritical area, but the second one, the one that should've got you, went directly into his chest. you didn't need to be a med student to know that that was bad.
"come on. let's go for a walk." arisu got up from the bed and kissed your forehead after noticing how sad your eyes were. you hooked your arm in his. every now and then arisu would stop to check up on you, if you were breathing well, if you were too tired to continue but you assured him every time that you were fine.
you saw aguni in the icu. the doctors that came out of the room were pointing out how that man being alive was practically a medical miracle. akane was on a wheelchair looking at him through the glass. the girl was very pleased to see you both again. she asked about your injuries and she thanked arisu in a subtle way for winning the last game. she didn't know if you were ready to talk openly about what happened. she didn't even know if she was.
you tried to run and arisu had to hold you so you wouldn't fall down the moment that you saw kuina. her face glowed and she had to blink a couple of times to believe her eyes. kuina was kneeling in front of a woman in a wheelchair, a man was standing next to the two of them, and you guessed that they were her parents. she was quick to stand up, her father had to help her to get to you and arisu, and then you hugged her tightly. you were careful though, you saw how bad her injuries were. you remember the king of spades on top of her, stabbing multiple times her stomach, blood coming out of her mouth and you immobile lying on the ground after being shot by him.
"have you seen him? do you know if he made it out?" you held kuina's cheeks. defeated, you let out a sigh after seeing kuina's confused expression. she shook her head to both of your questions. kuina told you that the last time that she saw chishiya was when the king of spades attacked for the first time, and then each of you followed a different path and she never saw him again after that. but when she met arisu again, he said that chishiya was fine.
you slowly turned to look at arisu with raised eyebrows, and the boy just shrugged his shoulders. on second thought, you were sure that arisu didn't do it with bad intentions. you had to explain to her that niragi shot him twice. kuina gasped and covered her mouth with her hand. you told her that the second time niragi was aiming at you but chishiya stood in the middle. that did not come as a surprise to her. she knew him longer than you did. they were already at the beach when you arrived there with arisu and usagi, and as long as she had known him, chishiya had always acted unbothered. he wasn't a big fan of showing affection. he was selfish, arrogant, and really self-centered. but kuina knew that he would take a bullet for you.
she insisted on joining you and arisu on your walk. you three recognized some people who were in the games with you: people from the beach, that kid usagi fought so hard to save, people you tried to kill, and people that tried to kill you.
"excuse me?"
the hospital reception was chaotic, and you barely heard the woman at the other side of the counter humming to your question.
"i'm- i'm looking for someone."
"name?"
you blinked a few times at her sudden question. you played with your fingers nervously. she raised her eyebrows waiting for an answer. "chishiya shuntarō."
you shouldn't have ask. you should have waited for him to find you. what if the woman told you what you didn't want to hear? no. no. no. you should've waited, or had arisu to ask for you. but now you were waiting for that woman to finish typing on the computer and maybe to tell you that he was dea-
"third floor, room 301."
"oh." you said in a sigh. you could feel all your body relaxing, your hands stopped trambling, your legs didn't feel like giving up anymore. but you could also feel your heart beating in your throat, and your chest slowly heaving. the woman raised her eyebrows at you again.
"do you need anything else?"
you gulped, shaking your head softly and coming back to you. "hm?oh. no, thank you."
you turned around and walked towards arisu and kuina, your eyes locked on the floor. your two friends arched their brows worried, by your face both of them expected the worse. kuina could feel that familiar lump that forms in your throat moments before bursting into tears. arisu approached you and his hands gripped your shoulders. your eyes connected with his.
"y/n-"
"he's on the third floor."
arisu sighed in relief. kuina also let out a sigh and she wiped away some tears off her cheeks before you could see her. she approached the woman and asked for an and she told kuina that she was in the operating room, which was also a strong relief.
time passed slowly, and the way to the third floor was the longest you could remember. not when you were walking to the control room with him and kuina, escaping from the militants, not when you were heading to a game, not even when you ran to him after niragi shot him. the elevator was too slow for you.
arisu was checking up on you, kuina was too deep in her thoughts. once the elevator stopped and the doors opened, you gulped and looked at arisu. he nodded for you to be the first one out of the elevator. what you didn't expect was to see chishiya in the middle of the hallway, his body slightly curved and one of his hands pressing his lower abdomen. he was talking to his doctor, probably asking a million questions like why he had put him on that medication instead of the other one, and trying to convince him why the other one was better.
"chishiya."
the boy quickly turned to see who was calling him and his eyes opened wide in surprise. "y/n." chishiya soon forgot about the doctor. one of his arms wrapped around your waist, the other one hugged your upper body, resting his hand on the back of your head and pulling you closer to him. he hid his face into the crook of your neck.
it was weird having him in between your arms in the real world. once you two were completely healed you'd go back to your normal life but you'll have each other. you were going to have to get used to his twenty-four hours shift as a doctor, and he was going to get used to hugs and kisses every day. but now, with his arms wrapped around you and after gone through that much, he thought that he could get used to that easily.
"i knew that you would make it." chishiya said with a small smile on his lips. one of his hands pushed your hair away from your face and tucked it behind your ear. the other one held your chin up trying to see through the gauzes on your face what type of injuries you had.
arisu and kuina were standing behind you. chishiya shared a glance with both of them. arisu was smirking, kuina was biting her nails with tears in her eyes, probably waiting for her turn to greet her friend but not wanting to separate you. you rested your head on his chest, careful to not touch where he was shot. your lower lip trembled, tears started forming in your eyes.
"i thought that you-"
someone talked before chishiya could. "that could never happen, you know what they say, only the good ones die young."
"you bastard." you looked over chishiya's shoulders and tried to move away from him the moment that you saw niragi at the end of the hallway, approaching the group from behind chishiya. he was quick to hold you tighter against him, to prevent you from hurting yourself even more by hitting niragi.
niragi was smiling. even though half of his body was covered with bandages you could see that disgusting smirk on his lips.
"i'm gonna kill you," you stated. niragi laughed at you. you couldn't see it but chishiya smirked, his arms still hugging you and not letting you part from him.
"it's not that big of a deal, honey. he's is alive and i got to shoot him. we both won."
chishiya could stop you but he didn't have enough arms to stop kuina. the girl passed by your side like a fury. arisu tried to grab her arm but she was mad. her fists were already clenched before she was even close to niragi, and arisu called her name in a last attempt of stopping her. niragi looked down at her with a smile on his lips. he knew what was coming. he had seen that face on kuina before.
her fist closed tighter and with all the strength in her body, she punched niragi. his mouth and nose started bleeding right after but he didn't stop laughing. she had her fist ready again but arisu grabbed her waist from behind pulling her away from him.
"better?" chishiya asked after feeling your breathing slowing down. you nodded and you both looked at kuina kicking in the arms of arisu. chishiya raised his brows looking at the doctors coming to assist niragi. "well, he deserved it." you rolled your eyes at him.
"you have to tell me a lot of things, i guess." chishiya said referring to your bruised face. you nodded, he was going to believe everything that happened between the time he was shot until arisu and usagi won the last game.
"i haven't seen banda and yaba."
chishiya smiled at your innocent. "i'm sure that they are fine but i'm also sure that they decided to stay." you already thought about that. you nodded understanding. what a shame because they were nice to you during the jack of hearts game, and they promised you that you'll see each other again. chishiya knew by your face that you didn't listen when he said that banda was a murderer and yaba was a scammer. people like that could only live freely in the borderlands.
not people like you two tho

Tumblr media

i made two versions, one where reader goes to chishiya and one where chishiya goes to reader if that makes sense sklensk tbh this is my ideal living situation idk why more couples don't have separate rooms
‧₊˚✩ waking chishiya up because you can't sleep
(set at the beach, word count 282)
you let out an exasperated sigh into the darkness, turning to lay on your back. the ceiling is barely visible in the dim lighting. sleep has never come easy in the borderlands.
you stare up into the darkness until your arm goes numb from being in the same position for so long. it’s still dark out when you glance over at your window. you sit up on your elbow, pushing yourself out of bed. the air is cold against your skin. you pull a shirt over your head and leave your room. it’s silent in the hotel, most people already sleeping by now.
chishiya’s room is darker than yours when you enter. light from the hallway streams in for a second before you close the door behind you. he stays silent but you can tell he’s awake as you carefully enter the room.
the sheets are cold when you slide underneath the covers, propping your head up underneath your hand. you can feel chishiya roll onto his side to face you. “did i wake you?”
“no.” he reaches his hand out a little, gesturing for you to move closer. you eagerly accept, wrapping your arm around his waist and pressing yourself against his chest. his warmth feels nice against your skin. “rough night?”
you hum as chishiya wraps his arms further around you. “couldn’t sleep. it feels like i’ve been awake for hours.” chishiya moves his hand to your jawline, gently stroking against the skin. you sigh, leaning into his touch. he moves his hand to the nape of your neck, fingernails gently massaging your scalp. the feeling calms you. slowly, your body relaxes as you fall asleep safe in chishiya’s arms.
‧₊˚✩ chishiya coming to sleep with you
(set after the borderlands, word count 258)
your cat blinks lazily at chishiya as he closes the door behind himself, careful not to shut it completely. you lay sprawled across your bed, deep asleep. he smiles a little, coaxing your cat to move so he can lay down. she dramatically yawns before moving down to curl up by your feet.
chishiya slides underneath the blankets, wrapping his arm around your waist and pulling you back into his chest. you unconsciously lean into him, shifting a little closer to his body. he presses a kiss against the nape of your neck before falling back asleep.
Tumblr media
chishiya’s arm is still wrapped around your waist when you wake up. you turn onto your side, taking the time to admire him. his hair is messy, sprawled across your pillows. he looks gorgeous in the morning glow.
your cat stretches before she jumps down off of your bed, pushing her way out of your room in search of her food. you bring your hand up to chishiya’s face, gently pushing strands of hair out of the way. it feels soft despite the continuous bleaching.
he stirs a little when you start twisting his bangs into little braids. his thumb strokes against your skin underneath your shirt. you smile, pushing yourself upwards to press a kiss against his forehead. chishiya doesn’t open his eyes but his lips quirk upwards into a small smile.
“breakfast?” you whisper.
“later,” he rasps, pulling you back down into his arms. “wanna stay with you.”
you stifle a chuckle, returning to playing with his hair. “okay.”

Lost and Found
Pairing : Chishiya Shuntarō x gn!reader, post-Borderland
- AIB season 2 spoilers -
Just fluff and cuddles. In bed. Thats it thats the plot. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  I’m not even gonna pretend theres anything more to it than that.
♡ ♢ ♤ ♧  ♡ ♢ ♤ ♧  ♡ ♢ ♤ ♧  ♡ ♢ ♤ ♧  ♡ ♢ ♤ ♧  ♡ ♢ ♤ ♧
Tumblr media
Lying awake beside you, Chishiya is listening to you breathe, analyzing your heart rate. In, out... steady and calm. He could almost count the exact number of beats per minute, but he’s too busy thinking about how lucky he is to have you beside him to care about precision. He finds infinite comfort in the repeated rise and fall of your chest. It proves to him that you are alive, safe and here, right next to him.
You are indeed. And you feel utterly and completely content, in bed, curled up against him. There’s nowhere else in the world you’d rather be.
You lift one hand from where it has been resting on his shoulder and run it through his messy blond hair, sending a shiver of pleasure down his spine. He looks tousled and sleepy and soft, eyes bright and hair wild, and all around adorable in the faint light that’s falling through the curtains of your bedroom. You continue running your fingers through his hair and down his neck as he lets out a long sigh of joy and relief, like all the tensions in his body were released, all at once.
“You’re secretly a cat, aren’t you?” You chuckle softly next to his ear. “I’m just waiting for you to start purring!”
Chishiya grins and makes a noise that he wanted disdainful, but comes out as a low rumble, not that far from a purr actually. You laugh. Not because you’re mocking him but because you’re happy. You both had been through so much. The meteorite took pieces from the both of you. Borderland did too, and you thought you’d never be whole. But you made it through. In each other’s arms, you found those pieces again. Now you’ve got him, and he’s got you. The past does not matter.
Chishiya’s arms tighten around you and he shifts slightly to kiss the top of your head, then your forehead, then your top lip, your bottom lip and both at once. His kisses are sometimes somber and serious, but mostly they’re playful, and delighted - and they’re all the time peaceful, uncomplicated, and calm. His kisses are all you need. He had kissed you before, innumerable times and in innumerable ways, but still, you’ll never get enough of him. He breaks off and looks at you with with unhurried, adoring black eyes and a sleepy smile. You smile back and you both relish in this quiet moment together. You love him so much it’s almost pathetic. You yearn for him constantly. All of him. His smug smile, his soft laugh, the sharpness of his mind, his bewitching dark eyes, his messy hair in the morning, his comforting warmth at night. Pathetic. You’ll never tell him that.
(he already knows)
It’s strangely easy for you to be tired in his arms. Maybe because he makes you feel so safe. You close your eyes and roll onto your side to face away from him while you slowly drift into sleep. Chishiya keeps his arms around you and presses his body against your back, tangling your legs together and pulling you tighter against him. As he presses one last sleepy kiss on the top of your head, you wonder if this really is true happiness. You decide that if it’s not, it must be the closest you’ve ever been to it.

Chishiya x reader (Hospital!AU) [gn!reader] part 1
Tumblr media
(TW!: mentions of needles and IV's, discrimination against crocs)
/ᐠ。ꞈ。ᐟ\/ᐠ。ꞈ。ᐟ\/ᐠ。ꞈ。ᐟ\/ᐠ。ꞈ。ᐟ\/ᐠ。ꞈ。ᐟ\/ᐠ。ꞈ。ᐟ\/ᐠ。ꞈ。ᐟ\
Chishiya was is an extra bad mood today. They were short staffed on tonight's night shift so it was up to him to look after the undergrads despite being a mere post-grad student.
"You're doing it wrong" you heard a familiar voice from behind you. It made you smile. Med-school was hard. Night-shifts,the long hours and stress can easily get to a person but a particular snarky doctor makes your day slightly more durable "It's my first day"
Was it just you or did your comment get an almost smile out of him?
"Your first day? last time I checked it's been 'your first day' for the past two months" he spoke in a condescending tone, picking up a new needle. "You're getting the ID and IV mixed up. With an IV you have to insert it at a 10-30° angle. Intradermal (ID) is the ones you do at a 10-15° angle"
You swear you felt a jolt of electricity when he guided your hand at a correct angle to insert the syringe into the practice dummy.
"It's not that hard. I memorised the injection angles on my first week here" his condescending comment brought you out of your own head.
"Okay grandpa"
Chishiya raised an eyebrow. Just the slightest bit amused by your snarky remark. "Grandpa? I'm not that old"
"Oh really?"
"Really. I'm 25" he instinctively shoved his hands in the side pockets of his lab coat, responding in an almost defensive way
Your reaction kind of bruised his ego. Why did you look so surprised? did he really look older than he was?
"Why's that so surprising?"
His question only got a shrug out of you "Well it's not that you look old it's just well..." you glanced at his dark blue crocs. "You dress like a person in their mid 30's"
~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Your comment was stuck in Chishiya's head all day. It was 6am. He'd just finished his nightshift and he was honestly a bit frustrated.
He didn't care what anyone thought. Especially you. But that didn't stop him from thinking about it. Constantly. It's like you just humbled this man more than anyone ever has.
And that's why...
"Chiya. Hey! What's wrong? you never call me" Kuina, his best friend and luckily for him a major in fashion.
The man didn't bother answering her question. "I need your advice"
"Advice on what?"
"I'm buying new shoes this weekend. I guess I could...use your opinion"

love between tension-filled moments
♡; a collection of ways that chishiya likes to rile you up with, to distract you from how much he cares about you
♡; warnings: suggestive
♡; wordcount: 2.7k
Tumblr media
Chishiya is a bit of a sadist, it’s something he can even admit to himself.
He just can’t help it though something about your face burning with embarrassment, the heat radiating off you while your breath is restrained. The air held in your lungs disrupts your usual pattern of breathing. It’s almost like your body halts for a moment, muscles tense and unmoving. Nevertheless, your heart beats rapidly full of life and Chishiya has to resist the urge to drag his fingers across your neck to your pulse point, feeling each beat of your heart. He snickers at the thought, he is a cardiologist after all and it won’t be hard to tell how much your heart rate has increased, an easy calculation. Though his favorite part is your eyes so sweet and wide, avoiding his gaze just makes him wanna tilt your face towards his, grabbing your chin with his thumb and index finger.
Breaking you down and building you back up is probably his favorite pastime, nothing could be more amusing. He knows it sounds terrible to toy with you like this, clearly having a significant effect on you but you’re just so adorable. Besides he knows the depths of your soul: raw and bare for him, he also knows you like it as well.
If he really is such a terrible sadist that puts you through so much, then he surmises you must be a masochist that loves it all anyways.
the electric touch of bare skin:
The mandated attire for the Beach doesn’t leave much to the imagination, yet Chisihiya imagines it still. Your bathing suit leaves you pretty exposed with the entirety of your arms and legs as well as your midriff out. He loves to stare and does it more than you know, unable to control where his eyes drift towards.
The thought of you makes him yearn, turning his head to the window he searches for your form. The moon reflected off the chlorine water in the pool gives you a slight glow as you laugh beside Kuina. He sets down the invention that he was adjusting, it should give him an advantage for later, but for right now he slips loose of the thought of survival to gaze at you from his room.
Looking down he can see your damp hair and the slightest shake of your shoulders. He sighs, of course, you don’t bring any kind of jacket with you when take a swim on a cold night. You’d probably catch a cold if you stay out any longer without a jacket and Chishiya begins to make his way down to you. Strangely, he doesn’t mind, but then again he never seems to mind when it comes to you.
“Seriously Kuina I feel like my heart is gonna burst around him! I can’t take being around him but I hate being far from him too. I don’t think I’ve ever liked anyone so much” You whine with your face in your hands.
Her laughter rings throughout the empty pool, most still in games or resting from them. “Still not used to dating him? ”
“I guess you could phrase it like that, but it’s more like he affects me so strongly that I don’t think I could ever get used to it”
Ah, this is what you and Kuina were talking about, you really are adorable.
Your faced Kuina and as he walked toward you, he couldn’t help but drag his fingertips across your back and blow hot air in one of your ears. You jumped a little and Chishiya could see the goosebumps on your shoulders, either from him or the cold temperature. Your relaxed form quickly tensed up.
“You must really like me,” a smirk formed on his face as you whipped your head around in surprise.
“Chishiya! I thought you were still busy,” your voice trembled a bit, high pitched from shock”
“I needed a break, and I wanted some fresh air,” he lied unable to admit how weak you make him.
“Oh, that’s perfect then, it’s getting late but since they still wanted to stay out I didn’t wanna leave them alone. Chishiya you should keep them company for me instead.” Kuina yawned and stretched out her arms, “I’m still beat from the game I played so I’m gonna go get some rest, see you guys tomorrow.” You watched as she walked into the hotel, and how she turned back to give you a cute wink.
You want to ignore it, to act as if you aren’t highly affected by Chishiya’s lone presence. The usually bustling pool with a seemingly never-ending party gave way to an entirely different feeling when void of others, making you aware the only witness to whatever took place between you and him tonight would be the moonlight that illuminated his face. A feeling of hope washes over, just the possibility that Chishiya would lower his inhibitions and perhaps give you a piece of his heart. Unbeknownst to you, he’d give you his whole heart if he could.
You’re proven right when he slides directly next to you on the poolside lounge chair, leaving little space between the two of you. Chishiya’s touch is rare which is why you find yourself feeling grateful to be seated, as the warmth of his thigh seeping into yours makes your legs feel weak.
“You’re cold,” he states plainly.
“Maybe you're just warm,” you giggle slightly despite him being right.
He sighs before lazily unzipping his hoodie, “Don’t get sick with a cold, the next time we go out make sure to get a jacket”
He takes it in his hands and wraps it around your shoulders before letting his hands drag down to your arms. The cold temperature of them makes him rub them, and the continuous up and down of his hands against you makes your head spin. The addition of his jacket doesn’t help, his smell of fresh laundry now consuming you fully.
It’s all too much for your racing heart, yet not enough making you crave more. Ah, it’s just too in character of Chishiya to give you just enough to make you crave, to feel unsatisfied but drive you crazy nevertheless. The only warmth in your body currently comes from him; the jacket surrounding your form, the heat he emits by your side, and the rush of blood that comes to your face.
It takes all the power in you to turn to face his eyes, even more so to reach for his hand. The grip of his hand is loose but you know neither of you wanted to let go in this moment.
“Is my jacket and presence right up against you not enough?” His smirks clearly showing this ordeal was never solely focused on your warmth.
“No, after all I really like you,” conforming his previous words. “So much that I’ll put up with whatever bothersome teasing you put me through.”
He laughs at your blunt honesty, then smiles at how endearing you are. Chishiya knows that you could get him to fulfill any wish you have, including the end to your craving.
For now, though he’ll just continue to hold your hand and admire the look on your face when he leaves you hungry for more.
the moments before a kiss:
“Chishiya, this position tires out my arms,” your words come out shaky cause of how breathless you are.
Though he makes no move to loosen his grip on your wrists, positioned on either side of your head.
The gaze of his eyes trails upwards from your lips to your eyes, “I’ll make it worth it.”
The intense gaze of his half-lidded eyes held magnetism that easily drew you in, you force yourself to turn away or else you’d be trapped in them forever. To be truthful, as well as you knew Chishiya, you couldn’t understand his reasoning for this. Pinning you against the wall, making you unable to move except to close the proximity between the two of you is a bit much.
Faced away from him, your eyes wander to the clock on his bedstand, 12:56 AM. The numbers taunt you, making you realize the large span of time since you left for your game. Exhaustion drains your entire body with the 4 of spades being the prime reason. The game was simple in concept yet, it compensated for it with the amount of hours it took to win. Unluckyness preyed on you, making you one of the last to return home.
Oh. . .
“Chishiya did you m–” you’re cut yourself off when he leans in close and licks a strip of your neck. The slight feeling of his teeth against your skin makes your eyes roll back, head hitting the wall as well. The surprising feeling is a lot to take, the kind your body can’t handle in a weary state. Your body weakens for a moment, knees buckling and he uses his to press against your inner thigh to stabilize you, chuckling as he helps you.
You feel the continuous fanning of his breath, and you can’t resist the urge to turn back to face him. Eyes are the window to the soul and Chishiya wants yours burned into him. The space between you two now almost nonexistent with his lips coming close to brushing yours. The answer to your question comes when Chishiya lets go of your wrists, to tuck a piece of your hair behind the ear.
His fingertips ghost the rim of your ear to your jaw until he takes ahold of your chin, eyes fluttering to close. It only feels natural to close your eyes as well and expect the slightly rough feeling of Chishiya’s lips against yours.
You wait only until the realization hits that you don’t feel anything. When you open your eyes you see Chishiya, pulled away from you with amusement written all over his face.
“Seriously! What was all that for then? What happened to making it worth it?” Annoyance bubbles within your chest.
The only thing Chishiya can do is widen his smirk before letting his hand rub the top of your head as some sort of apology.
“Oh, it was very worth it to me,” the air exhaling from his nose showed he found it all too humorous, leaving you to sigh.
While it’s true Chishiya did find your expression priceless, even he couldn’t deny that he yearned for your lips. It’s a foreign feeling to be so irrationally concerned about another’s being, how you ignite such a feeling? An answer he knows very well but is unable to face, so he turns away from your lips until he can face the depths of his heart.
extending a moment in time:
You bite down to bear the pain, though you’re sure Chishiya does it harsher than necessary, for both his amusement and to punish you.
His lithe fingers are beautiful and always slightly cool, it’s entrancing to watch him change your bandages for you. The only thing that brings you back to reality is the tightness around your wrist.
A sigh comes from Chishiya before he speaks, “Can never stay out of trouble can you?”
“It just follows me wherever I go,” you laugh trying to ignore the annoyance in his eyes, instead glancing at your dominant arm.
Differing hues of purple run down your arm, contrasting the clean white that wrapped around the joint of your thumb to your wrist. The wound you unfortunately received was from a knife that had cut into your skin during a clubs game. When Chishiya first disinfected it, he would tell you how lucky you got that the wound wasn’t deep and that none of your tendons were severed, explaining the painful consequences of what could’ve happened. You thought otherwise though, finding an injury on the back of your hand bothersome, limiting the mobility of your dominant hand.
The frequency of which you’ve dropped your utensils is more than you’d like to admit, the clumsy way you now move through what would-be simple tasks is embarrassing. The unnatural feeling of holding anything in your non-dominant hand is awkward. Though from a certain perspective, you can view your newfound injury as lucky especially since Chishisya is right by your side, willing to assist with anything you need.
Chishiya had become just a little sweeter throughout this ordeal. Warmth in your chest forms when you think back to when he fed you, though at first he did watch in entertainment as you struggled to eat your breakfast. While still wanting his time alone, he at least tells you now and sends Kuina to take care of you when he can’t, no longer disappearing without a word.
Your recovery time isn’t long, but neither was your visa. The gods must have taken pity on you since you thankfully ended up in a simple 3 of diamonds game. Chishiya insisted that he come with you despite having more than enough days left on his visa and in the car, his grip on your hand was tight. Before you had entered the venue, he made you lean against the wall and bent down on one knee. Grabbing your foot, he placed it on his other knee to tie the laces of your sneakers, you hadn’t even realized they came undone. From that angle, you could see Chishiya’s usual poker face slipping, with sweat running down his neck. All you could do was squeeze his shoulder in reassurance that you’d still be by his side once the game ended.
Ever since then, you haven’t seen much of Chishiya. You try your best to brush it off, but even then he didn’t tell you, and the period of time since you’ve last talked has grown to be longer than usual. Having the weight of it on your mind wouldn’t do anything for you so decide to look for Kuina instead of thinking too hard about it
As you look in the mirror – intending it to be a quick look before leaving – you notice that in the back the usual bow you tie that keeps your top upright came undone. You want to sigh for the terrible timing of such an inconvenience. Even the slight turn of your wrist hurts and you wouldn't want to risk opening the wound, delaying your recovery further. Kuina wasn’t far, her room being at the end of the hall, that is if she even was in her room.
You weigh out your options on what you should do, too preoccupied with your thoughts to notice the click of your door.
He takes notice of your furrowed eyebrows and untied top, “Need my help with this too?”
You jump slightly, in shock from being brought out of your thoughts as well as from Chishiya’s presence.
“It’s not like I can ask someone else,” the words awkwardly fumble out of your mouth.
A smirk forms as he makes his way to you, his form directly behind you. The exhale of his breath can be felt on the back of your neck, and Chishiya can only chuckle at you. The sound redirects your attention to the mirror in front of you, your eyes meeting his through it. You watch as he slides his hand down your shoulder to your arms, intertwining your hands together at the end.
“Relax you’re too tense, I’m helping you put on your clothes”
The temperature of the room feels hotter when you think of the other option Chishiya implies, you drop the tension in your shoulders and try to appear unfazed, though he knows you’re not. He lets go of your grip to grab the two strains of polyester around your neck, thick silence fills the air as you stare at Chishiya’s concentrated face. No matter how much you try, it’s impossible to ignore his fingertips slowly grazing your neck in the process. You know that Chishiya knows how to tie a knot, anyone does, yet he drags out the process with mirth in his eyes.
“Done,” He says, finishing a minute longer than it should have been taken.
You search for his eyes through the mirror again, he stands unmoving from his close position to you. All of it frustrates you to no end, the tension that he builds up only to break it by doing nothing with it. So, when he tilts his head closer to yours, through your hazy mind you turn to finally close the space between you and Chishiya.

AIB's (♂) reaction to you kissing the tip of their nose
AIB male characters x GN!Reader
English is not my first language. Sorry in advance for any mistakes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Arisu:
He was rambling about some new video game when you lean over and kiss the tip of his nose in the middle of his sentence, causing him to come to a halt. He's stunned for a few moments and fumbles with his words before relaxing and looking at you with a soft smile as he pulls you closer to him by the hem of your shirt to return the kiss, but this time on your lips.
Tumblr media
Karube:
You were playing on the bed when he holds you under him, teasing you when you just rolled your eyes, leaning in and kissing the tip of his nose. He halts for a second before smiling hugely, cheeks burning as he takes your face in both hands and spreads kisses all over your face and lastly your nose, forcing laughter out of you.
Tumblr media
Chota:
You laugh at the sight of his scrunched-up nose and wrinkled eyes. He holds your face in his hands and laughs softly as he looks at you. He reciprocated the kiss by gently kissing the tip of your nose and then playfully touching it.
Tumblr media
Chishiya:
With his hands in his pocket, he watched you quietly as you talked to your friend. But the next thing he knew a kiss was being placed on the tip of his nose and you smiling at him after. He looks at you shortly with raised eyebrows; not expecting that at all. Trying to act unaffected he looked away but failed as his lips stretched into a small smile. His smile grew slightly when he saw your hand grasping his.
Tumblr media
Tatta:
Your lips lightly touch the tip of his nose as he stutters a few words. He then looks directly into your eyes, appearing unfazed, and then he smiles brightly but awkwardly. He enfolds you in a bear embrace before smothering you in kisses that range in length from your neck to your jaw and finally your face.
Tumblr media
Niragi:
His sentence was cut off by a groan he let out when he felt your lips touching the tip of his nose. He raised an eyebrow questioningly at you before dropping his gun to the nearest surface. Pulling you flush against his body by your hips, he cupped your jaw forcing your mouth on his; wanting a proper kiss from you.
Tumblr media
Banda:
He just stares at you, unaffected, with no reaction, but you still put on the smile he secretly cherished. He liked how your lips felt and wondered how they would feel on his. He thought about the moment your lips touched his skin, how warmth was engulfing his body. Noticing that you had your attention on something else he took the opportunity to graze the tip of his nose where your lips had once been, feeling your warmth still linger there.

The sun was still low on the horizon when you arrived at the Foundation’s main door. Grabbing your duffel bag and backpack you exited your car followed by your close friend, roomie and colleague Kaori. There were already a few staff members waiting, on the sidewalk, for the transport to take you all to the event and you both walked to join them.
Kaori hadn’t stopped talking about the conference and the fact that you would get a free vacation out of it. However, your mind kept switching her off from time to time.
“Hey! You sure you’re feeling alright?” They asked you for the tenth time.
“Yeah. It’s just weird…I feel…weird…” You told them honestly.
You met Kaori a long time ago. They had been the ones that had helped you after ‘the incident’. Their bubbly personality, friendly attitude, and especially their caring and patient side had become a safe space for you to turn to. Even if sometimes they were a bit overexcited. After the meteor, their over-the-top personalities were what kept you motivated.
“It’s the first lengthy trip after the…thing…it’s normal. It’ll be alright…” Kaori placed a hand on your shoulders, giving you a reassuring smile and you smiled back, still weary.
It was in fact the first long trip you had taken after the disaster a year ago. In the months after the incident, just walking around Tokyo would make you hyperventilate. Although it had subsided, there was still a feeling of dread in the pit of your stomach. You felt like a prey animal, always hypervigilant. All the doctors you knew and all the counselors told you it was normal. You had been through a traumatic event, more than that it had been a sudden traumatic event, your body still in fight or flight mode. Still, the explanation didn’t take away the feeling.
“I promise you, I have googled every single space agency, telescope and conspiracy theory website. None indicated the sky was going to fall down again.”
You rolled your eyes at their joke. Some people might find their humor offensive, but it was something you both had in common. Even though you still felt the scars mentally of your trauma, you found that a helpful workaround was to joke about it.
“Thank you. Deeply appreciated, friend!” You placed a hand on your heart in mock gratitude and they nodded.
"No problem, buddy."
As you approached the small group of people at the door, you both made a beeline for some familiar faces. The taller of the two figures, Ari, waved at you and your friend as they saw you approaching.
“Who’s ready for a free vacation?” Ari asked, clapping her hands together and beaming brightly.
“It’s not free.” Chishiya’s raspy voice argued.
"It's an all-inclusive, four-day trip to one of the finest resorts in Tokyo. It's a bit of a free vacation.” Kaori argued back.
“Did you forget about the two-day conference?” He asked her, pushing his hands into his white jacket.
You stood, quietly grinning, looking between Kaori, Chishiya and Ari as the three of them argued whether the event constituted a paid vacation or just work.
“You know! I liked you better when you were blonde.” Ari concluded by crossing her hands over her chest.
The look Chishiya threw at her was the most offended glare you had ever seen him give. It lasted exactly 5 seconds but it was enough for you to snort as you tried to keep the laughter in.
“Come on Ari, we all know blonde Chishiya was not the superior Chishiya.” You teased, pointing at his now jet black hair. “This! This is our true lord and savior. The evolution of the man, who is now a legend.”
“I don’t know why I hang out with you people.” He retorted, but his face was neutral with a side of good humor.
He had indeed made a radical shift in his looks. His hair was slightly shorter, looked healthier, but his usual white was now jet black. He had changed his locks after the incident, a few weeks after he started working at the Foundation. Obviously, you all teased him.
Truth be told, many survivors had indeed altered their appearances after the trauma. The last time you saw some of them, thanks to the ‘mandatory monthly therapy session ’ , there had been some changes in aesthetics. Some had grown out their locks, others had shaved their heads, and others had changed their style completely. You yourself had changed your appearance as soon as you could move about.
Every time you looked in the mirror, the person looking back didn’t seem like you. It was like staring at a photo of you from years ago. From another life. And technically, that was right.
“Because you need a few people around, to bring you down from that marble pedestal you like to stand on.” Ari said and everyone nodded, including him.
“Kicking and screaming sometimes.” Kaori gave everyone a knowing look.
"Alright children. Enough with the beating of an undead horse.” You looked between your friends as they groaned and moaned at the bad joke.
The bus arrived and the group made their way to it. As you walked down the bus aisle quietly, shuffling behind the rest of the staff, you could hear Kaori and Ari argue about something they had read in a scientific magazine and Chishiya complaining he was not mentally ready to spend an hour hearing Ari go on about this.
“You can sit with me.” You smiled at him, turning to look at him over your shoulder.
“Thank you.” He bowed his head to you.
As the four of you settled into your seats, the excited Ari and Kaori kept chatting on and on about the article while Chishiya just shook his head.
“That article was disproven by several sources months ago.” He declared in a hushed tone as he took out his hoodie and placed it on the overhead shelf.
“You can walk over and tell them that. Good luck!” You teased him and he shook his head, getting comfortable.
"Ari will probably google it in about...five minutes." He grinned at you, raising one eyebrow and you chuckled.
The relationship between you was warm, comfortable and you both seemed to enjoy each other's company. You both shared a once-in-a-lifetime experience, which bonded you in an unusual way, just like it did with the survivors. There were some who were affected more than others, but being collectively dead for a minute or two had made you all form a strange bond.
With Chishiya it spanned beyond the monthly meetings though. You had started working at the Foundation months before the meteor, and he had joined a few weeks after. The Foundation had made you and him sit through counseling every week, deeming that the monthly therapy group sessions given by the government weren’t enough. You would both sit in the waiting room of the psych wing waiting for your name to be called. That was the perfect opportunity for you to strike a conversation with the handsome and aloof doctor.
It started with small talk, the weather, the shifts at the hospital, what had been on TV. Even though he seemed distant, he was willing to listen to you. He kept the conversation flowing by adding some snarky remarks and trivia about the topic you'd be discussing.
And then you introduced him to your friends and the four of you became a unit. It had taken him a while to get used to the chaos that was the three of you together, but as time passed, you noticed him becoming more relaxed. Although he kept all of the other staff at arms length, barely moving an eyebrow at them, around you three, he seemed to be content. He seemed to be happy, often antagonizing one of you or just letting you all tease him about something.
It became a habit to wait for each other whenever you had counseling sessions. You would grab some cookies from the machine and sit on a bench taking in the last rays of sunshine.
• ··········· • ············ •
“Thank you” He said one day, munching on a biscuit, making you turn your head towards him in surprise.
“For what?”
“I don’t know.” The still white haired doctor shrugged and leaned back into the stone seat. “When I woke up in the hospital, I felt like I needed a change.”
“Dying does that to you.” You smiled at him and he nodded.
“I didn’t enjoy doing anything before. At least that’s what I felt. I was a flat line, just keeping up with the flow. Nothing mattered. Get to work, pretend to care, go home, pretend to have hobbies, pretend to have friends, go to sleep. Repeat. I felt nothing. Whether I was telling a mother that her child was dying or just ordering lunch, it was all the same to me. ”
“And now? Are there any nuances in your...feelings?” You questioned him softly and clearly saw the gears in his head turn.
“Yes.” He looked at you and raised an eyebrow. “I don’t think I’ll ever be able to fully rationalize what they are, but there are spikes on the line now.”
“I don’t think you have to rationalize emotions, Chishiya. I don’t think anyone does. You just have them.”
“What if I don't have them?”
“Well, you go to counseling." you joked, pointing a cookie at him and then becoming serious. "I’ve seen you with your patients. I’ve seen you around Ari and Kaori. I’m seeing you now. This…” Your hand motioned towards him. “This is feeling an emotion.”

''There are no rules at the beach.''
A sentence I wished I'd never hear. How this seemed like a good idea was beyond me; especially when I noticed the amount of drugs, alcohol and sex there present; a good portion being everything but consensual. I felt far from safe, even though Hatter claimed that was his top priority.
This is why I locked myself up in my room most of the day; only going out for food and games. I couldn't leave the building I found myself other than to possibly kill myself, so I had to create my own safety.
That protection I could give myself, however, turned out to be far from safe, even though I was practically invisible I didn't go unnoticed by most of the militants. Aguni left me alone and got the rest to listen to him, except Niragi. Niragi saw the fear in me that this building gave; the paranoia I gained as the weeks passed. To him, I was a rabbit who wished to get caught.
So anytime I was outside your room he'd creep me out on purpose; lingering around me, eyeing me, whispering in my ear if he got close enough, and eventually; started following me everywhere.
Today was his next step, instead of walking behind me he started to chase me; finding his hunt to have taken long enough, to have gotten me more scared than ever before. So after I was done with dinner he followed me quietly until he could attack.
He shot a bullet of his rifle into the ceiling, making me look at him in fear and quickening my pace in hopes of him not noticing. He called out for me again, which got me to turn around; this time to pin me against the wall. ''You think I haven't noticed you, huh? Are you that desperate for me? That you put on this alluring act of a scared rabbit?'' He breathed in my ear as he put his leg in between mine and attacked my neck with his pierced tongue. His long, wet muscle against my skin felt like the most gross and invasive feeling I had ever felt. It made my breath hitch and my heartbeat fasten.
I tried to make him stop, but anytime I tried he seemed to find a way to get me stuck in his force even more. I tried to scream but he covered my mouth with his, I wanted to kick him but he slammed his hips against mine, I tried to slap him but he forced my hands above my head making me unable to do so.
It was only Hatter giving a surprise announcement that saved me; he made Niragi look up in surprise for a split second, giving me the chance to kick him in the balls and run away. He screamed out in pain before regaining his posture and going after me; thankfully his gigantic rifle seemed to slow him down just enough for me to have a chance at survival.
I didn't know where I was running towards, and I didn't dare try and open doors; if they were locked Niragi would have enough time to come to me. And even if the doors were open, I had to be lucky to be able to lock them on time. But that would also be ruined entirely if people were inside a room like that; they would give me up to the maniac chasing me to save themselves.
The only thing I could do was run and wish to find a place where the door was wide open. Luckily, eventually, I did. I ran until I found myself going down a set of stairs, running through a set of doors that somehow led me to a room I had never seen before.
I didn't hear Niragi taunting me anymore, nor did I hear him running after me anymore. I sighed deeply, hoping that he lost track of me; little did I know that wouldn't be possible.
I finally looked around the hallway I had found myself in after taking in all the air I needed to calm down. The walls were tiled white, almost like a dressing room in the gym, yet also similar to a hospital.
I continued to walk through the hall until I heard some clattering in the room at the end of the hallway. I stood still and tried to make sense of the situation. It was not like I could go back; Niragi could be waiting for me for all I knew.
The clattering didn't seem intimidating; the least scary scenario I could think of was having accidentally walked into the kitchen. So I decided to walk towards the only sound I heard apart from the faint partying of the other Beach residents.
When I got to the end of the hallway, close to the door, I was able to look through a little window to see what was going on. I was frightened and terrified when I found out what I saw. An, one of Hatter's closest allies was carefully cutting up what seemed like a body—the body of one of our residents.
I froze in fear, not knowing what to do until I heard a familiar, terrifying taunt again. I looked up to the start of the hallway to see Niragi pointing his gigantic rifle at me, swearing at me, telling me that I was being too difficult, that I had finally gotten myself into a trap I wasn't going to be able to get out of.
In the one second I had at the chance of survival, I fell into the room where An was dissecting her body. She jumped up slightly, most likely because of the loud gunshot that was immediately heard after my entrance.
I looked up in fear, not being able to open my mouth and explain what was going on. Not that I had much time either way; Niragi slammed himself through the doors in a matter of seconds.
Before he had a chance to do anything to me, he looked up to see An with her gloved hands covered in blood, holding a scalpel. ''Are you still busy with that little puzzle of yours, you sick fuck?'' He questioned while resting his rifle on his shoulder. ''I think you're the sick one out of the two of us.'' She sighed as she looked down at me, desperately trying to get away from the monster in front of me.
''You're no fun; just let me have this little bunny, and I won't ever bother you again, deal? If you'd like, I could even keep her body intact so you can analyse her after the slut you're busy with now.'' Niragi offered to the woman in white, looking at me with the worst thoughts imaginable in his mind. I widened my eyes in fear, noticing my vision was getting spotty due to the sudden realisation I was a couple of hours away from dying. I'd be lucky if Niragi would get bored of me quickly.
''I don't think Hatter will be happy with you if you take that one; after all, she's one of our best players. If I were you, I'd find a different victim; it's not like you're that picky anyway.'' She answered sternly as she stood in front of me as if to protect me.
I was surprised it worked as quickly as it did; the predator simply rolled his eyes, turned around, and left the room. Of course, he wanted to leave behind an impact, so he made sure to shoot the same wall he had shot on accident before on his way out.
''Are you okay?'' An asked worriedly the moment she knew we were safe, crouching down beside me to check on me. ''I think so; just a little headache, that's all.'' The woman still decided to check around my whole head. ''You must be in shock; you have a big wound on your head. Keep still until I tell you otherwise.''
For the next couple of minutes, I did exactly what she asked as I watched her run hurriedly through her DIY labratorium. Eventually, she sat back down again with what seemed like an unnecessary amount of supplies. ''This might hurt, but I need to clean your wound first.'' She said before throwing a cup of boiled water onto my wound, making me bite down my arm at the sudden pain to prevent any screaming from leaving the room.
She gave me a rag once she started up the stitching, knowing I wouldn't be able to keep it down and probably hurt myself in the process. It was painful yet necessary; apparently, the wound was pretty deep. An said one of Niragi's bullets must've hit me partially; I didn't notice because of the adrenaline rush I had gotten.
''I'm sorry I bothered you with this; I never even knew this room existed.'' ''Most don't; that's why you shouldn't apologise; I can't imagine what would've happened to you if you didn't find me in here.'' ''I'd prefer not to think about it.'' This made the woman smile in amusement and understanding as she knotted up my stitches, took off her gloves, and put everything away.
''I must go soon; thank you for helping me, An.'' I said while yawning when she sat back down next to me again. ''Absolutely not; the moment you walk out of here, you'll most likely find yourself in the exact same danger as before, worse even.''
I didn't really know what happened after she told me I wasn't allowed to leave. I think the effects of the adrenaline rush, stress, and pain I went through finally decided to crash. The only thing I did remember was An picking me up and bringing me to her quarters.
At least I realised she did the moment I woke up in her embrace, caressing my hip softly while lying in her bed.

Partners in Crime - Niragi x Fem!Reader
Another thing plucked from the depths of my brain. 3.4k words of fluff, maybe some angst (Chishiya makes an appearance). Reader is a militant again. Enjoy.
masterlist
Warnings: head injury (reader), mentions of blood, guns, a knife, general aib themes.
Your eyes stutter open, blinking a few times to adjust to the light that seemed oddly harsh. A figure shaded your eyes as An crouched over you, intently studying your forehead and prodding it, eliciting a hiss of pain from your mouth.
“Ah what the hell?!” you griped, flinching away and realizing you’re lying on the floor of the executives meeting room with blood seeping out of your forehead.
“She’s alright, although she probably has a concussion.” An stated, ever so eloquently.
You drag your body into a sitting position and the pounding starts in your head, grimacing as you try to gather your thoughts and figure out what the hell happened. It was a routine meeting after the games to take stock of the cards, you’d arrived earlier because you hadn’t participated in a game, you sat down crossed legged in your chair and waited for the others to file in – Kuzuryu was already here, then Mira came in, followed by An, Chishiya sprung up at some point, Aguni stomped his way in followed by Last Boss and… Niragi.
Niragi, who entered every room in the same manner as a tornado.
Niragi, who was too high off adrenaline from the win in his last game for his own good.
Niragi, who swung his gun around so often you’d think he’d have a good grip on the damn thing and wouldn’t drop it, accidentally shooting out part of the ceiling and knocking you out.
You and Niragi were acquainted enough, often doing guard duty together and being tasked with disposing of traitors, you even drank together often enough. Some would say you were thick as thieves, but you were just similar enough to get along – both of you just as unhinged as the other, enjoying the fear you incited as two of the most ruthless and fearsome militants simply wandered the halls – it had built an unspoken mutual respect. Despite all of that, he never ceased to amaze you sometimes.
“You’re a fucking idiot,” you seethed “why couldn’t you just put the damn safety on like everyone else!”
“Quit your whining it was an accident,” he replied, bending down to try and help you up “c’mon let’s get you clean- “
“Don’t fucking touch me” you cut him off, pushing him away.
“Extra feisty today, huh?” he teased, chuckling at your frustration.
You shifted slightly and used the solid wooden table to hoist yourself up – the part of the ceiling that had come down wasn’t even that big, but it hit you in just the right spot to put you to sleep and make the world spin afterwards. Noticing your struggle, Niragi wraps his arm around your waist and places your arm around his neck to keep you on your feet – you didn’t resist this time, suddenly too exhausted to put up a fight.
He guided you back to your room and eased you onto the bed where you sat for a minute, Niragi rummaging around in your bathroom. As the pain spread through your forehead and pulsed in each temple, you counted yourself lucky that you still had some days on your visa – this was definitely going to take a couple of days to recover from. Niragi re-emerged from the bathroom, warm hand towel in one hand and what you hoped was disinfectant in the other, as well as a bandage.
You shuffled around as he sat and motioned for you to face him, towel at the ready, pressing it against the wound to loosen the congealed blood. An exasperated sigh escapes from you at the sensation – you could feel the threads of the towel dragging through the cut like calloused tentacles. Opening the bottle of disinfectant, he douses the towel and grips your chin between his thumb and index finger to steady your head. A series of curse words and ow’s stream from your mouth, as he clumsily cleans the wound.
“You could just take me to An, you know?” you stated.
“That’s a really weird way of saying thank you,” came his sarcastic reply, “calm down, I’m almost done. Plus, that basement gives me the creeps – kill people sure, why not? But keep their bodies to dissect? She’s gotta have something wrong with her.”
“Thank you for the concussion, Niragi,” you falsely beamed, “I appreciate it so much!”
He rolled his eyes at your sarcasm and applied the bandage with narrowed eyes, intent on not letting it wrinkle or stick together. Although going to An would likely have been more comfortable and a hell of a lot quicker, it was rather endearing to see confident Niragi fumble over such a basic domestic task.
“I’m sorry, okay?” he began, “I didn’t mean to hurt you.”
You looked at him for a second, caught off guard by his abrupt sincerity, before giving him a small eyes-closed smile accompanied by a small chuckle.
“I know you didn’t, it’s okay. Thanks for patching me up.”
“Don’t mention it, princess” he smirked, standing up to put the medical supplies away.
You lie down on the bed, the sharp pains melting into an all-encompassing ache and your eyelids feeling like cinderblocks. You didn’t even notice him come out of the bathroom, or the burning gaze he set upon you as you lay there so peacefully.
“You need anything else?” he asked, as if it would be such an inconvenience to aid you any more than he already had.
Man, he really must have felt bad.
“No, I’m good. Now get out so I can get changed before I fall asleep in my clothes” you retorted, hoping he wouldn’t mistake your playfulness for maliciousness.
He didn’t, of course. He knew you just as well as you knew him.
“Alright then. Goodnight, princess” he waved over his shoulder while making his way out of the room.
_______________________________________________________________________
Rifle slung over his shoulder, Niragi made his way down the halls, shoulders back and head held high as people cowered and shuffled by him. He loved that feeling – inducing such fear by simply existing, the power to turn that fear into sheer terror should he choose – he relished it. But it felt different today. It felt… hollow.
Maybe it was because there hadn’t been a lot of traitors to kill off lately – another thing he cherished – with everyone dumb enough to dare betray the Beach already gone. Or maybe it was the absence of a second set of footsteps, perfectly in time with his, making his presence known even sooner with the sound. Or the “what the fuck are you looking at”s that sharply sounded off if someone dared linger their gaze in his direction for half a second too long. Or the absence of the vanilla and coconut smells that so often wafted around him, dancing delicately in his nostrils while he waited in anticipation for his next confrontation. Or the lack of dark giggling ringing in his ears as peopled sheepishly shuffled by.
Niragi stalled for a moment, hand rubbing over the lower part of his face as if trying to physically expel the daze from his head.
“Missing your partner in crime?” An apathetic voice questioned.
Niragi looked up, taking in his surroundings for the first time – a familiar door to one side and the inquirer to the other.
“The fuck are you talking about?” Niragi snapped back.
But he knew. He knew guard duties with you were less bothersome, the time flying by as you terrorized people together in the most deranged manners possible. He knew you’d help clean up the mess you’d both made during the latest cleansing of the Beach’s population. He knew he could speak his mind to you because you’d often voice his thoughts before he did, as if plucking them straight from his brain. He knew you’d join in his drunk escapades because you were as daring and thrill-seeking as he was. He knew that if he found himself in front of Hatter or Aguni, facing serious punishment for taking it too far, that you’d be right there beside him – using your cunning mind to get the both of you off the hook. That’s exactly what you were – partners in crime.
While he could admit that he wouldn’t dare admit that your absence was the reason for the scowl that adorned his features.
“Don’t worry, I won’t tell your secret” Chishiya quipped.
“I don’t know what you’re yapping on about, but I know your room is on the other side of the hotel, so what exactly do you think you’re doing over here?” Niragi seethed, the mere sight of Chishiya pushing every button on his silky shirt.
“Well, An was concerned about Y/N’s condition due to the fact that she passed out immediately after the impact and suggested to Aguni that someone monitor her condition overnight to make sure she’s still conscious” the blonde stated matter-of-factly.
“And you expect me to believe that Aguni put you in charge of that?” Niragi scoffed.
“Actually, I overheard the conversation – both An and Aguni are too busy, so I volunteered.”
Niragi’s blood boiled. He hated this man. He hated that he acted like he was so above everything and everyone. He hated the way he spoke like he was the smartest man in the world. He hated that he couldn’t intimidate him like he did with everyone else. More so, he hated that you were so indifferent to Chishiya – that you borderline liked Chishiya.
“He’s mildly interesting – funny sometimes too” you’d said once, while Niragi ranted and raved about how he despised him so.
Niragi was not about to let Chishiya step even a foot closer to your door. You were his partner in crime, and partners always had each other’s backs.
With a swift stride forward, Niragi was face to face with Chishiya, the barrel of his rifle pushed directly under his chin.
“You’re out of your fucking mind if you think I’m letting you go in there, who knows what you’re plotting in that scheming mind of yours” Niragi hissed, steam practically spurting from his ears.
“I’m not scheming, just want to ensure the health of one of our longest serving militants. A thank you for the service” Chishiya replied, not batting an eye.
“Piss off before I paint the ceiling with your brain you little rat” Niragi threatened.
“Alright then,” Chishiya stepped back, taking his hands out of his pockets for the first time during the whole interaction to raise his arms slightly, “just trying to help.”
He turned on his heel, hands returning to his pockets, and walked away.
Smart ass bastard. He didn’t respect you; he didn’t want to help you; he didn’t know the first thing about you – let alone how to take care of you. Niragi wasn’t sure if he knew how to take care of you either, but he was damn sure he’d do a better job than that runt.
Niragi moved to your door, hand lingering on the doorknob for a moment before turning it and carefully opening the entrance to your room just enough for him to slip through. His hand didn’t move from the turned position, ensuring no unnecessary noise was made, as he closed the door behind him.
He was in. But what was he supposed to do now?
As he stood in the dark, he realized he hadn’t quite thought that through.
They wanted to know you were conscious right? How’s he supposed to do that while you’re asleep? Does he have to wake you up? He must have to wake you up, right? Whether you have a pulse or you’re breathing or not, he needs to check that you’re functioning. Okay so he needs to wake you up, fine.
He made his way over to your bed, putting the safety on his rifle and laying it on an armchair, and stood beside it – you were always a bit snappier when you hadn’t slept well, and he wasn’t looking forward to being the cause of you losing those precious minutes.
He watched you as you slept – your back to him, hair freed from its usual tight ponytail scattered across the pillow, moonlight spilling in from the window at just the right angle to dance across your skin and highlight your features, mouth slightly agape and cuddled into a blanket. His breath hitched for a moment as a strange warmth sprouted in his chest, you looked so different. So peaceful.
His arm reached out to your sleeping frame as if by its own free will, hand heading to your waist to awaken you from your slumber. But before it could get there, a harsh grip on his wrist brought him back to reality – now here he was, almost lying on top of you with his hand pinned down and the knife you keep under your pillow pressed to his throat. Both of your eyes wide, just staring for a moment, not a word being said – you were definitely functioning just fine.
“Jesus Christ Niragi,” you sighed as your grip loosened and the blade was lowered, “what the fuck are you doing in here?” you asked, exhaustion evident in your voice.
“Well,” he stood up, straightening his shirt “An was worried you’d black out again and suggested someone come check on you through the night to make sure you’re not in a coma or something – so here I am” he finished, sitting himself on the edge of the bed.
“Figures they’d send you in” you let out a small chuckle.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” he questioned, defensiveness in his tone.
“Nothing? We just do everything else together – makes sense they’d make my partner in crime look after me” came your genuine reply, making him un-tense his body and ears perk up at that phrase.
You thought that too?
“I’ve been hearing that a lot lately. I guess we are partners in crime, huh?” he smirked at you.
“Yeah, something like that” you said quietly, hiding the slight embarrassment you felt from acknowledging the bond the two of you had.
You sat up in the bed, your tank top clad upper body exposing a few of the scars that littered your arms and shoulders – one from a game, the rest caused by your own personal chaos. Despite the display, you looked a far cry from your usual self as sleepy eyes and an exhausted body softened your demeanor.
“So, how many times can I expect to be graced with your presence then?” you questioned him.
Niragi noticed the contrast and couldn’t help but steal a glance at you. You didn’t look weak like many others would if he’d caught them in this state, as you sat there with hair flowing around your shoulders and body basked in moonlight, baring yourself to him without even so much as a sharp “get out” rolling off your tongue. He marveled at the view as you sat across from him.
“Hey, stop staring at my tits and answer my question” you demanded, bringing Niragi back down to earth from wherever his mind had wandered.
“Have you never seen a girl in bed before or something?” you teased, knowing full well he had, but wanting a rise out of him anyway.
Of course, he had. Girls latched onto him like babies on a bottle wherever you two went, his good looks and bad boy attitude making them drool so much you had to watch your step to avoid slipping over. But he’d never seen you like this. So serene, so beautiful – angelic almost.
“Shut up,” he rolled his eyes at you “not exactly much to look at there anyway” he lied, shifting his gaze off you.
You chuckled as your comment reached its desired effect, while he just shook his head at your entertainment.
“So?” you said, raising your eyebrows at him as he looked back at you, raising his own eyebrows back at you in mutual questioning.
Your head cocked slightly to one side as he continued to withhold his answer.
“How many times do you have to check on me?” you finally broke the standoff, surprised you had to spell it out for him.
Niragi realized two things: first, he was too busy looking at your stupid face to hear the question the first time and second, he had no idea. The answer being a detail he didn’t even think to obtain in his fit of rage.
“A few times I guess” he answered without thinking, hoping you wouldn’t catch on to the uncertainty in his voice.
“Okay” you replied simply, not questioning the conditions of his aid.
You shuffled over in the bed, clearing a Niragi sized space and fluffing the fresh pillows underneath you.
“What are you doing?” Niragi asked, his face twisted in confusion.
“If you’re going to check on me that often you may as well stay in here so you can get some rest too – you get extra snappy when you’re tired and I already don’t feel like dealing with it tomorrow” you replied.
He didn’t move from his position on the bed, still confused but shock creeping its way in as well. You wanted to have a sleepover?
“Are you sure?” another question falling from his lips surprising him, uncomfortable with his own uncertainty.
“Yes, now hurry up and lie down so I can go back to sleep” you huffed, settling yourself into the bed as your heavy eyelids closed themselves.
“Alright, don’t get your panties in a twist” he retorted, pushing himself up from the mattress.
He walked over to the armchair, plucking his rifle from the armchair and dawdling slightly as he made his way back to where you lay, still not quite sure of the arrangement – not that he was complaining.
Metal clanked against wood as he propped his rifle against the bedside table and bent down to take his shoes off.
“You better have the- “
“Yes, the damn safety’s on, chill out” he finished your sentence.
You smiled as he took the words out of your mouth.
The bed dipped under his weight, his body fully clothed and on top of the blanket. He lay on his back with his hands interlocked over his chest, staring at the ceiling, not quite sure what to do – this was the first time he was unsure if you shared the thoughts running through his head.
“What are you? A vampire? Who sleeps like that?” your eyes were open now, entertained by the sight in front of you.
“I thought you were going to sleep?” he replied, clearly not as entertained as you.
“You can get in the bed, you know? You’ll probably sleep better that way instead of this Dracula impression you’ve got going on” you answered, giving him an ‘it’s okay’ look.
Niragi complied, peeling back the blanket and shuffling in, lying on his side this time. You were facing each other now, still a distance away but the closest you’d ever been. Not even close to touching, but close enough that you could feel the warmth spreading through your body. Comfortable in each other’s presence, yet the tension could have been cut with a knife.
“I’m glad they sent you to do this” you broke the silence.
 Niragi’s heart damn near stopped.
“Oh yeah? You miss me that much?” he smirked at you.
“More like we’d be cleaning up a dead body tomorrow morning if they’d chosen anyone else” you replied, your gaze meeting his.
“Good” he replied, a smile tugging at his lips.
Your comment wasn’t out of character, but it was confirmation – you were his partner in crime, and he was yours. And that was enough.
“Goodnight, princess” he ended the conversation, nothing more to be said.
“Goodnight, Niragi” your eyes closing, contently falling asleep.
 ______________________________________________________________________
Your eyes fluttered open, blinking a few times to adjust to the gentle sunlight that painted the room. A black and white curtain surrounded your vision, an arm resting gently around your waist and warm air tickling your forehead. Your eyes drifted upwards to look at the head of the dark mass that engulfed you – Niragi, eyes still blissfully closed.
“Good morning” he greeted, not moving an inch.
“Good morning” you returned, lying still.
“How are you feeling?”
“A bit better, I guess.”
“That’s good.”
Neither one of you broke the embrace, you just lay there – you and your partner in crime finding something new to relish in together.

Needing You
Tumblr media
Request: Could you write something about Chishiya, guy who has a nightmare about the reader, this would be outside of Borderland's. I would really appreciate it and I love the way you write, by the way english is not my first language.
By: @cresentmoon8
Summary: After meeting you and escaping borderlands, Chishiya thought that the nightmare of a life he was living was over. But the nightmare of almost seeing you die during a game still follows him. He’s always put up a front as being a strong person, but after this last nightmare he can’t help himself and carry out the need to hold you close and cry in your arms.
Pairing: Chishiya x reader
Genre: nightmares, fluff, angst
Rating: V
Warnings: post borderlands, nightmares, murder, blood, crying Chishiya, cuddling, neglectful parents, familial pressure, one kiss
A/N: Not me writing a AIB fic LOL! It’s been so long since I even thought about writing for AIB (even though I’m still obsessed with the fandom), but once I got this request I was all for it. My requests are still closed for this fandom, but I thought this was such a good idea, and I needed a fluff cleanser anyway XD Enjoy bbys!
。・°°・°°・。 。・°°・°°・。 。・°°・°°・。
Drip… Drip… Drip…
Chishiya slowly opens his eyes, the fog not letting his vision stay clear. The outlines of his vision is still hazy even after he blinks his eyes a few times.
Drip.. Drip.. Drip..
He goes to rub his head, a sudden sting hitting his temples or at least he thinks there should be, but realizes he’s tied to a chair - unable to move anything, but his head.
DripDripDripDripDrip
He hears the sound of something dripping on repeat drip faster. The sound doesn’t have him looking around in search for its owner, though, but the smell that is coming from it. It’s the smell of bone and blood. Two things he’s been accustomed to longer than he would like too admit.
It’s then he realizes he doesn’t know where you are. If he’s strapped to this chair, then where could you be? The last time he saw you was when entering a game-
Turning his head slightly, he finds his answer. You’re strapped to a chair, head down, and blood dripping off your face. Chishiya goes to scream, yell, anything to get your attention but no sound comes out. He struggles in his restrains, trying to get to you, but somehow the ropes around his body get tighter - stopping himself from having any ability to move.
Step. Step. Step.
He hears a new sound, and stops his struggle. It’s a sound of footsteps that’s owner he hasn’t thought about in a long time. Something you helped him forget about, but always in the back of his mind would know forever. The steps of a man always filled with determination and pride, but he would use those boots to stomp on Chishiya’s own pride and determination have change he got.
Chishiya looks around, wondering where the steps are coming from in this extreme dark room. After looking behind him, he looks back at you, and sees the man right behind you. The man’s who’s footsteps halted, and look down at him through his glasses.
“What a disappointment you were Shuntaro. Can’t even save your own girlfriend.” His father says, although his face is extremely dark to see the usual strong features his father has.
Chishiya’s father then grabs at your hair, pulling your head back and pulling out a knife that he aims at your throat. Chishiya screams at him to stop, but once again no sounds comes out. This time, as he moves to get out of his restrains, his chair also starts to move backwards. Away from you slowly and getting faster by the second.
No matter how tight the retrains get he still try’s to get to you, all the while not taking his eyes off of you. Your face is bloody, and the blood continues to pour off of you profusely. Your eyes slowly peel open, and Chishiya freezes. Your eyes are like a void instead of there usual bright color. The whites of your eyes gray and creamy.
“Why, Chishiya?” You cry to him, blood increasing as it starts coming out of your eyes now. “I thought you loved me.”
Chishiya does love you, he tries to scream that to you even as the horrific sight of you bleeding from nothing is making his heart beat like crazy. He feels tears fall down his face, this all to much for him to hold it back.
His father chuckles at him, and how white teeth shin against his dark face. “Pathetic,” His father says before slitting your throat. Him undoubtedly cutting the right jugular to kill you.
Chishiya screams, and screams, and screams, but it’s all silent. His ears ring, and tears fall from his eyes while he watches you slowly die and choke on your own blood. With one last big breathe to scream at his father all of his hate, he…
———
Chishiya jolts up out of bed, the scream from his dream joining him as he wakes up from a terrifying nightmare of almost watching you die in front of him again. He clutch’s at his chest, feeling his heart against his palm through his shirt and beating to fast to be okay.
You jolt awake when you hear Chishiya scream next to you, rolling over to hold him by his hips even if he’s not sensing you’re there at the moment. This has been happening a lot lately. Ever since you both exited the games, the last game being the worst of all, Chishiya has been suffering from nightmares.
He never tells you what there about, but the way he jolts awake always wakes you up too. The games making you wake up from the slightest movements now, and that trait following you even after escaping.
“Chishiya… it’s okay… I’m here, your alive-“ You stop your usual soothing words when you hear Chishiya start to cry. It’s a small sound, but your ears catch the sound nonetheless.
You sit up, look at the love of your life with his face in his hands as he shakes with a sob. You pull him to lean against you chest, and you don’t even think he feels you doing so, but you try your best to comfort him anyway.
You’ve never seen Chishiya cry before, not since the last game, at least. The last game had you close to death, and if it weren’t for Chishiya saving you, you would have died. It was a game like no other. One where you were on top of crates, and you had to get to the other side without touching the ground.
Each time you jumped a crate, though, the ones it front of you would get further and further away. Like the metal boxes knew you were coming, and wanted to see just how fast all of you could run.
Well, you couldn’t run fast. You weren’t the most athletic person, and instead relied on your wits to get through the games. Your foot slipped on the edge of one of the crates, and you smashed your face against the metal box in the process. Your hand slipped next, the blood from your smashed nose that you hit against the metal create making your vision dizzy. If it wasn’t for Chishiya catching your hand at the last second, you would have died.
You never saw Chishiya shed a tear before that, but one drip of the salty liquid did leave his eyes that day. Almost seeing you die, and then the blood on your face making it hard for Chishiya to keep his control. The blood proving just how close you were to dying.
But this isn’t just one tear. There’s streams of tears coming down his cheeks, and you keep trying to whisper insurances that whatever he dreamed about was just that… just a dream.
“I-it wasn’t fake. It was real… You died… I failed you.” His last three words are said so small, you barely hear them. If it wasn’t for his close proximity, you would have missed them. You clutch onto him even closer to your chest, realizing what he probably dreamed about by his words.
“You didn’t fail me, and I’m not dead. You saved me, Chishiya. You saved me. Not Arisu or Usagi, but you… And for that, I’ll be forever grateful.”
Chishiya slowly picks his head up off your chest, wiping his eyes quickly as he does. He blinks at you, his vision finally clearing from his tears and being able to see you. You show him a small smile, and Chishiya’s lips part as he takes your appearance in.
Your not bleeding, your neck isn’t slit, and you aren’t looking at him with dead eyes like his dream depicted. You’re your same beautiful self, and now reality is crashing down on Chishiya. It was all a dream… and he was crying about it.
Chishiya was taught at a young age to stay strong in every situation, but seeing his own shitty father hurt you was to much for him. Especially when you said you thought he didn’t love you. The whole thing broke him. Broke him to the point he cried so hard that it woke him up from the dream.
He swallows against the lump in his throat, and with a shaking hand touches your cheek. Feeling your soft skin under his finger tips and confirming that you are, in fact, alive. Chishiya closes his eyes, suddenly feeling a boat of shame hit him in the chest from him waking you up like this.
“I’m sorry,” Chishiya says.
Your eyes widen ever so slightly, and your smile vanishes. You, being the best girlfriend in the world, crawl into his lap and make him wrap his arms around you. Your arms go around his neck, and then you clink your foreheads together. “There’s nothing to be sorry about, Chishiya. The past is the past, and now we’re out. I will also always be here for you. No matter what the situation.”
Chishiya blinks his eyes open up at you, seeing your pretty eyes so close to his. Although your words warm his heart, he still has to confirm something. “You know I love you… right?”
It took so long for Chishiya to admit he loved you, to the point it hurt you a few times while you were both in borderlands. It wasn’t until he almost saw you die that he admitted his feelings for you right then and there. He never wanted to hurt you or see you hurt again. That’s why you saying you didn’t think he loved you in his dream hurt so badly, making him start to cry in real life.
You raise a confused eyebrow at him, and take your forehead off of his. You don’t understand why he’s asking now, but you don’t need to. You see in Chishiya demeanor that he needs this. He needs you to answer this question because if you don’t it will shatter his world. He’s needing you to answer this question truthfully, but there was no way you were saying the opposite of the truth, anyway.
“Of course I do. I always have, baby.”
Chishiya’s lips twitch up in a smile, unable to help himself as he pulls you in for a singular deep kiss. Your confession clearing his head of all doubts, and making him feel ten times better then he was a few seconds ago.
The both of you then lay down, still holding each other like if you don’t the other person will disappear, and soon fall asleep.
Not before Chishiya whispers in between the two of you, you already asleep so you don’t hear, his own confession of how he feels about you.
“I always loved you too.”

Being in the Borderlands was refreshing for him. That didn't mean that he liked fighting for his life every time his visa was about to expire, it was so exhausting and the games were nothing to him. But being trapped there allowed Chishiya to let his past life behind, all the people he once met, but especially his medical studies that, even though he was the first in the class, didn't go as planned. He was growing to hate more and more the life he had chosen for himself.
From the moment he arrived to the Borderlands he refused medicine. He saw people with bad injuries getting to the beach, some of them he could have treated, other ones were in a very bad condition and treating them would only make things worse. Chishiya didn't feel guilt, the real world had taken that away from him. He didn't feel anything when he saw Arisu and his friend asking for a doctor at the five of spades game, he didn't feel anything that time the Hatter twisted an ankle and made a cut on his head while drunk, he didn't feel anything watching Ann trying to handle every person that came back hurt from a game. Of course, Ann was smart and she had some medical knowledge, but it was more complicated than that. Ann needed to know how to practice medicine and most of the time her knowledge was not enough.
—This is what you decide to do the first time I leave you alone for a game? —Chishiya knelt, taking Ann's place in front of you as he tried to move your hand that was covering your wound. Chishiya raised his eyebrows, condescendingly, once you refused to let him move your hand.
You were shivering, your teeth were chattering and your eyes were glossy. Your chest was softly starting to heave as you gasped for air as if it were the beginning of a panic attack. You were sitting on a chair, your body struggled to keep you upright as the dead body of the Hatter lay on the table.
—I need you to breathe through your nose and focus on what Arisu is going to tell you. —Chishiya said to you. That completely caught the other boy off guard who let out a 'huh? me?' but quickly understood that you just needed a distraction.
Your friend Arisu also knelt by your side and started talking to you. Chishiya tried to take away your hand but you shook your head and pressed harder, hissing at your own action. At the end of the day, you didn't know that Chishiya was a forming doctor in the real world, that he was first in his class and that he dedicated every single day of his life since he graduated from high school to this.
—You're not gonna die if you stop applying pressure for five seconds, but you will if you keep pressing your wound like that and pushing the bullet deeper.
Your eyes opened wide at his words and you finally allowed Chishiya to take a look at your nonstop bleeding wound. You coudn't focus on Arisu, your attention was on the amount of blood that was flowing out of you, on Chishiya's fingers poking in your wound to see how bad it was and specially on Niragi standing behind Chishiya, still holding the gun he shot you with.
Chishiya noticed how your eyes moved nervously from his hands working on you to the boy behind him and he quickly knew what happened. You left for the game with the Hatter and games usually don't have firearms because that would be way too easy and if Chishiya remembered correctly, a lot of militants went with you two. The Hatter was a prick so perhaps he had something going on with one of them. Aguni, maybe? He was looking rather guilty. So the Hatter possibly got on his nerves and ended up dead. And you, always at the crime scene, were shot as a side effect. Niragi had wanted to get you for a quite long time, and he found the greatest opportunity. Also eliminating the only witness to a crime committed by his friend was very tempting.
—It's a rather superficial wound. It is impossible for it to have affected any important organ, so whoever shot you must be either stupid or wanted you to survive.— Chishiya moved your hand softly again to cover your wound so you wouldn't lose more blood, but this time placing it correctly so that you would not make the situation worse. Right after he gave Ann some very specific orders of what he needed to treat you.
Kuina was surprised. She would never dare to say that she knew Chishiya because she only knew what he wanted her to know. She was surprised to see him doing something for somebody else but she was not surprised that that someone was you.
When Aguni told her that you were hurt, she ran to her friend who not wasted a second looking for you. His face showed no expression, he was focus, his hands were inside his pockets as he walked but Kuina knew that Chishiya was worried.
Chishiya was surprised too. Since he met you he knew this moment would come. You never saw the danger, plus, he thought you were clumsy and he couldn't explain how you could win all your games with your lack of attention. He never thought he would ever have to use medicine again, he had been disowning it ever since he got to the Borderlands and he hoped he could leave that part of him in the real world. It was working for chishiya until you two met and how could he let you die?
Chishiya could forget all the things that made him hate his dream for you, about the corrupt doctors, about all the people he was forced to left to their own fate, about all the patients for whom he had to prohibit a treatment, about the cries of grief of family members in the waiting room. He could do anything but let you die.

I had an epiphany 🧐 maybe a gn reader x chishiya based on the song "won't say I'm in love" from hercules? I'm craving for stupid chishiya not realizing he has feelings for reader djdmdm
at least out loud / i won't say i'm in love
Tumblr media
pairing: chishiya x gn!reader (no pronouns used) genre: fluff word count: 959
includes: canon typical violence, mostly canon compliant, kinda ooc chishiya
a/n: thank you for requesting !! this loosely inspired by this prompt list by @dumplingsjinson
summary: chishiya is cold. calculating. he doesn't let emotion cloud his judgement or get in his way. so why does he feel like this around you?
Tumblr media
chishiya’s heart is racing. he’s never felt like this before. each beat sends a sickening, suffocating feeling throughout his chest.
his mind races. his grip is tight around your forearm as he pulls your body towards the center of the car and further away from the danger. you cower behind the vehicle as the king of spades fires another round of bullets in your direction. chishiya curses. in a life or death situation, your body has instinctively done the worst thing it could - freeze.
“y/n,” he calls when the gunfire ceases for a second. you force yourself to look up, only relaxing slightly when his dark eyes meet your own terrified gaze. chishiya frowns. he wants to magically take you away from this situation. he wants to wrap himself around you and protect you from the games and the king and the players - even at the expense of his own health. he wants to keep you safe. “we need to keep moving. come on.”
you swallow your fear, sparing a quick glance behind you before you nod in agreement. chishiya relaxes his grip around your arm before he takes your hand into his own. he pauses when you intertwine your fingers with his - a familiar, foreign feeling overtaking him for a second before he quickly brushes it off.
“chishiya!” kuina’s voice cuts through the chaos. she’s a few cars away from you; her own back is pressed against a car for shelter. “y/n!”
behind her, you can just barely make out the bright yellow top usagi wears. arisu kneels beside her, occasionally popping up from behind the hood of the car - presumably to check if the king is still there. you’ve pushed yourself up onto your feet when chishiya glances at you again. a silent question passes between you: are you ready?
your hand doesn’t leave chishiya’s - even when you both successfully make it to the relative safety of kuina’s car. he ignores her questioning glance at your interwoven fingers. the sound of screeching tires prevents any potential teasing before a car door swings open. “get in!” ann yells.
usagi is the first one in, quickly followed by kuina and arisu. chishiya freezes when he notices the sound of a piece of metal hitting the ground and rolling towards you.
“that’s not good,” he mumbles. your questions are cut off as he pulls you away from the bomb and helping you take shelter behind the remains of a wall. “get going!”
“chishiya! y/n!” kuina yells through the open window before the car begins speeding off again. he wraps his arms around you, tucking your head against his chest as you both brace for the impact of the grenade going off.
it explodes in a beautiful spectacle of concrete. the ground shakes beneath your feet. asphalt rains down on you - scratching small cuts into your skin and tangling into your hair. your ears ring. your hands tremble.
“y/n!” chishiya’s voice breaks you out of your trance. you blink at him once. twice. times. “are you okay?”
his voice is so soft you’d almost mistaken it for nervousness - though you know better. his hands feel warm against your skin. his arms are still wrapped around your waist. your own arms are still wrapped around his shoulders. there’s an almost invisible tint coating his cheeks.
“yeah,” you nod. “yeah, i’m okay. are you?”
he simply nods in response. chishiya scans the area for a second before his gaze lands on a nearby building. it looks like an average convenience store: posters hang in the glass windows, shelves line the stores filled with a variety of different food and makeup and over the counter medication, and a small cashier’s counter is just barely visible from its place tucked away in the corner.
“come on,” he says, gesturing towards the shop. he can feel his face burning when he unconsciously wraps his arm around your waist to support you. “we can hide in there.”
a sad ding leaves the bell above as you enter the store. the feeling in his chest returns when he helps you sit down on the ground, leaning back against the wall for support. he freezes when you reach up, gently pulling him down until he’s close enough for you to press a fleeting kiss against his cheek.
“thank you, ‘shiya,” you smile.
it feels like his breath has been stolen from his lungs. he wants to kiss you. he wants to pull you into his arms and never let go. he wants more.
it terrifies him - more than the king of spades; more than the other players; more than the games. but it’s exhilarating.
chishiya feels like he’s in a daze. like something is pulling him towards you. he leans in until there are mere centimeters between you.
“can i kiss you?” he finally murmurs.
you don’t respond. instead, you follow his lead, leaning in to gently press your lips against his own. it’s softer than chishiya was expecting - almost nervous as you pull back only a few seconds later. his eyes flutter open for just a second to gauge your reaction before he leans in again.
his lips are surprisingly soft when he presses them against yours. this time the kiss is deeper. more passionate. like you can’t get enough of each other. like you never will.
chishiya is panting softly by the time he pulls away. he allows himself to be vulnerable; lets himself feel affection for what feels like the first time ever.
resting your forehead against his, you reach up to tuck a stray strand of hair out of his face. looking into your eyes, brushing his thumb against stray dirt sticking to your cheeks, he smiles.
chishiya’s heart is racing.

Can you write a lovely fluff story between Arisu and female reader who loves get kissed, to get cuddled, to get touched from him (and maybe more) at night?🥰 Maybe something romantic with some kinda sexual parts
♠️ Late night closeness ♠️
A/N: Yo, I'm back and haven't forgot your request yet! As I said in one of my posts, I felt a little sick this one day so I used the next days to recover a little. Plus, I was at work thursday and friday until 6pm, so I was tired and exhausted to be honest. 😬
Nevertheless, here comes your desired story and I hope that you will like it even more. Now that it's finally out. 🫶🏻
Tumblr media
Characters: Arisu
POV: fem!reader ; fluff ; slightly sexual content at the end!
Warnings: Includes slightly sexual content, but nothing excessive.

Late at night. To be more precise, it's the perfect time to go to sleep. Just like I always do. Apart from the fact that the surroundings are quiet and empty from dawn to dusk anyway, there is complete darkness all around us. One thing I can't stand since I've been in Borderland. The reason? The red laser beams that shine down from the sky to kill other people whose visas have run out. I know a few idiots who stay up late and look for a higher spot to watch the spectacle. Just to make sure how many will leave this world behind forever - and for sure - today.
Fortunately for me, I also know people who have similar thoughts to mine. People who don't want to see this happen. People who have enough common sense, empathy and decency to look the other way. Call it strength or call it gutlessness.
I want to sleep. Every day, even before the selection takes place. However, my thoughts, which are spinning endlessly in circles, are preventing me from doing so today. My eyes are closed. My back is turned to the window so that I am not even tempted to open my eyes. But as destiny wants it, this shall not be to my disadvantage.
It's a typical time for me to sleep. You lose track of time and space in here, but if I had to guess, it would probably be 10 pm by now. Maybe half past ten at night. So I'm not surprised that the mattress behind me lowers a little, that the blanket is lifted slightly and then gets straightened again. So that I too can enjoy a comfortable and peaceful night's sleep. Just as I deserve- at least according to Arisu.
Arisu and I ... we met here during a game and haven't gone our separate ways ever since. At least not directly. We rarely go to games together for fear that we'll end up in one where we have to kill each other. I know Arisu's story. I know what he's been through. And I don't want him to have to go through it again.
We always promise each other that we'll come back. That we'll meet again at the agreed meeting point and go back to sleep side by side in the evening. The only difference today is that I'm still awake and can therefore feel the dark-haired man snuggling up to me even better.
How he puts his arm around me and presses me closer to him so that my back is pressed tightly against his upper body. As if he's afraid someone might just take me away from him for the night. Or as if he was worried that I would just leave him alone in the middle of the night.
He does that often. Always, actually. Every night when I'm drifting off to sleep. And I like it. Arisu is a shy boy who has a lot of decency as well as respect. He would never do anything against my will or touch someone 'indecently' if he didn't know whether he was allowed to. And even if he was allowed to, he would find it difficult because he wouldn't know how to handle it.
I think he knows that I like this kind of closeness. I'm not sure, but if he pulls me into his arms while I'm sleeping, I think I'll have some reactions that approve of his actions. Be it a smile that creeps onto my lips. It's possible I'll turn towards him to nuzzle my face into the skin of his neck so I can be even closer to him. And then I remember that I once started to giggle a little when Arisu pressed kisses to my cheek, neck and shoulder. I remember, because ... he is doing it again.
"I love it when you try to show me your affection secretly, quietly and silently." As soon as he speaks, I notice how his head shoots up a little and his grip on me loosens. "Surprise, love." I take the chance to turn onto my back in the loose grasp of his arms so that I can see Arisu's face much better- it may be dark, but I don't miss the somewhat indignant look on his silhouette, which makes me laugh a little.
"I thought you were asleep!" he says confusedly, his eyes almost as big as the moon in the sky itself. "How much did you notice...?"
"Everything." Silence. "But I don't think that was enough." I smile up to him, stretching my face a little towards his so that I can give him a little peck on the lips, before staring at him for a second.
"Awkward."
"Awkward?", I asked, bursting into laughter. "What the fuck are calling awkward, Ryohei?! No, that's not!"
"I-It's just ... I thought you sleep, Y/N!" Now he starts giggling himself, so that both of us are just a laughing mess. "You can't pretend just to set a trap for me, that's not how it works!"
"Oh? But it worked very well, don't you think?" It takes a moment for us both to settle down again- until we're both quiet and just smiling to ourselves.
Shortly afterwards, Arisu tightens his grip again and presses me against him once more. He has turned sideways towards me and finally leans his head relaxed against mine. I do the same and start to stroke his arm up and down with one of my hands, while we just lie here together in silence, staring into emptiness. In the soft bed of the tower block that we have made our home for the night.
"I ... actually tried to fall asleep but failed this time." Arisu looks down on me while I look up to him. "It wasn't my plan to trap you, darling. But I have to say, I really do love it, when you cuddle me that much while I'm sleeping, Arisu. And you know, I would be happy when you keep doing this- it makes me feel protected and ... I feel safe in this creepy world when having you by my side." I assume that these words will overwhelm Arisu for a moment, as it's quite a lot at once and … well, very unexpected. "So … I'd be happy if you did that more often. Not just when I'm asleep, but also when I'm awake. I really enjoy your attention and your closeness, so … I think it would be nice if we could build on this ... intimacy." I know it might not be a good attitude.
This is not the world in which you would want to fall in love. We are not in the time warp where you are looking forward to the love of your life, where you want to fall for a person completely and carefree. Here in Borderland, it's a matter of life and death. That's why it might be wrong to tie yourself to one person- morally speaking. But if your heart is yearning and your head is in harmony with it, then it no longer feels as wrong as it really is.
"You know, this ... might getting dangerous, love?", he whispers, making me giving him back a quite "Of course" which makes him sigh a bit. "This … is not something one want to assume, but … you know, it can happen every day that one of us doesn't come back to the other." You can tell from his voice that he feels fear and pain at the thought, which makes me swallow hard- but again I only get out a whispered "I know ...", which should make him realize how seriously I meant what I said to him. "And yet you want me to consciously give you this intimacy?"
"Yes," I said, serious. "Because I love you, Ryohei." This is where I end my caresses on his arm.
Instead, I just look up at him, able to catch his eyes thanks to the light given off by the moon. I notice how his arms wrap around me even tighter in response and I catch myself clawing into the skin of his arm a little, but lightly enough to make sure there's no residue and that I don't accidentally hurt him. He nuzzles his face into my cheek and we close our eyes to enjoy the togetherness for a moment. To forget everything else for just a few seconds.
"I don't think that's something we can decide immediately, Arisu ..."
"There's no need to decide something, I guess." I open my eyes again, looking at him, giving a little "Huh?" right back, before I can catch a smile on his lips. "I ... I cannot deny that I ... like you and that I would very much like to continue to be close to you." I giggle.
"Come here." Without giving it a second thought, I swing myself on top of him and wrap my arms loosely around his neck.
His hands rest on my back from that point on and I make it quick: I pull him into a loving, passionate kiss. I know he needs a moment to realize what's going on, so … I give him the time. And only when he moves his lips against mine do I match his movements and deepen the kiss a little more, burying one of my hands in his mane so that I can push him a little closer to me.
A little later I wander with my lips to his neck, which he frees up for me a little bit by tilting his head to the side. Small kisses are spread over his thin skin before I reach his ear and whisper a soft "Touch me, Arisu ..." into it, making him blush, pretty sure.
"You want me to-"
"I see what you're up to, my love." I'm smiling. "Don't think about it … and just do it." Again I start to work his neck, which makes him hum happily before I add anything else. "When I was sleeping, you weren't afraid to go under my shirt, too." Now I'm laughing.
Because of his shocked "What?!". Because of his big eyes. Because he's a little freaked out all of a sudden.
"How much did you really notice when I thought you were sleeping all this time?!"
"I've been sleeping," I say, "but sometimes I've woken up and just let it pass over me with pleasure~."

— SFW ALPHABET !
+ feat. ⋮ chishiya shuntarō
a/n. — nothing like some headcannons to start the new blog & slight spoilers for season 2 || masterlist.
Tumblr media
A = Affection (how affectionate are they? how do they show affection?)
keep in mind that he loves you, but he’s not one to express physical or verbal affection. instead, he finds fulfillment through acts of service. this includes things like opening the door for you, organizing your things, and even adjusting your position if you slept in a position that would cause you pain when you woke up.
B = Best Friend (what would they be like as a best friend? how would the friendship start?)
at first, you'd have no idea if you were his friend. you only “knew” you were his friend because he gave you useful trinkets and devices to help you defend yourself, which was based on intuition. fortunately, your intuition was correct because, while he'd never say whether he considered you a friend or not, he knew that, of all people, he'd never consider sacrificing you (first) in a dangerous situation. overall, he'd be a good friend if he genuinely thought of you as one, giving you constructive advice in your best interests. he'd even offer you his favorite cookies.
C = Cuddles (do they like to cuddle? how would they cuddle?)
it would take a while to try and lure him into the world of cuddling. and I mean a while. even so, he's not going to ache or ignite it. he doesn't mind cuddles, but he also doesn't prefer them — they're just there. it's just something you do by resting your head on his arm while he reads or puts his hand behind his head. so you'd basically be pushing your body as close to his as possible without him doing the same.
D = Domestic (do they want to settle down? how are they at cooking and cleaning?)
he never put thought into settling down, he's one to just "go with the flow". because of this, he wouldn't be completely opposed to settling down. he’s a the type of person to follow a cook book (you decide how good he is) but an excellent cleaner. good at staying organized.
E = Ending (if they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)
quick and direct. doesn’t like to sugar coat things and a break up is no exception.
F = Fiance(e) (how do they feel about commitment? how quick would they want to get married?)
again, something he never gave much thought to before you. he'll be open to the idea once he's realized/decided he's ready to spend the rest of his life with you, which may take some time until he feels he's developed a strong bond with you and trust. he'd propose a small private ceremony, nothing too formal or big for the wedding.
G = Gentle (how gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)
he’s unconcerned about the feelings and emotions of those around him. just saying what he thinks, regardless of what they think. but he knows that with you, he'll have to think about how you'll react a little more, so he studies you a little more carefully when he tells you shit that makes you upset. overall, he’ll be more genuine with you, but he won’t completely change his behavior. you shouldn't expect him to sugarcoat anything.
H = Hugs (do they like hugs? how often do they do it? what are their hugs like?)
he became accustomed to you cuddling him, but he resents hugs. you'll hug his shoulder while his arm is around your neck, similar to how you cuddle. sometimes you won’t even get a arm around you.
I = I Love You (how fast do they say the L-word?)
it’s unpredictable. he didn't even say "I" the first time he said it. it took him the second time, and from then on he included it whenever he would say the phrase. perhaps it stems from his need for assurance that you won’t abandon or use him. maybe it's because he couldn’t believe he could ever feel that way. it would take him until he felt he could feel all of his emotions, including vulnerability, around you. he despises showing vulnerability and you’d be the first person he’d show it to. that’s a big deal.
J = Jealousy (how jealous do they get? what do they do when they're jealous?)
he's not the type to be jealous, he trust you, and with your constant reassurance, he knows you won't leave him. especially if it’s a stranger. why would you leave him for someone you don’t even know? if anything, he'd be irritated that someone is flirting with you while you clearly dismiss them, so he approaches and tells them you're with him before guiding you away.
K = Kisses (what are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? where do they like to be kissed?)
his kisses are brief but lingering. he doesn't have much experience, but he's a doctor who understands the body and how it responds, so he does the best he can in those limited amounts of time to make you want more (such a manipulative fucker). he enjoys kissing you on the collarbone; it's just something he can't stop doing. but personally he enjoys the knuckle kisses you give him. no like seriously…it’s a problem at this point.
L = Little Ones (how are they around children, how do they feel about having kids, etc)
he’s never considered and doesn’t wish to consider having children; they’re simply not for him. 🙅🏽‍♀️
M = Morning (how are mornings spent with them?)
mornings with chishiya are best described as quiet and relaxed. I bring it up later, but he's an early bird. he wakes shortly after the sun rises, not by choice. he makes little noise when he gets up; he doesn't talk, but he is generally quiet. if you're still sleeping, when he's finished getting ready, he'll wake you up and tell you to get ready for work or whatever you have to do, asking if you want tea or coffee before he has to go to work himself. he doesn't like eating in the morning, but if you want, he'll make you a bagel or something small.
N = Night (how are nights spent with them?)
also calm and relaxed. on days when he has work, he sleeps late; on days when he does not, he sleeps early. he usually reads or thinks while staring at the ceiling when he sleeps late. you never get much out of his thoughts since he says "don't worry," but sometimes you and him have late night talks or read together.
O = Open (when would they start revealing things about themselves? do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)
he's a reserved and private person, so it's natural for him to begin revealing things about himself when he feels he can truly trust you and you feel the same way. he won't say everything all at once, even if he has that level of mutual trust with you, because his guard will still be up a bit, so give him some time. and give him some time to mentally prepare for talking about an endless and harsh timeline of memories.
P = Patience (how easily angered are they?)
his level of patience is quite high. it takes a lot for him to become fully enraged, but even then, I would call it irritation rather than anger. but from his resting face, you wont be able to tell which is which.
Q = Quizzes (how much would they remember about you? do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)
ignore his expression, because he truly hangs on to everything you say. the same holds true if you gave him a gift. however, don't bring it up if you found something, such as jewelry you gave him a few months into your relationship, in a box on his nightstand. he'll dismiss and deny it.
R = Remember (what is their favorite moment in your relationship?)
his favorite memory from your relationship would have to be the first time you told him you loved him. It was the biggest shock of his life — was he really loveable? did he truly want to spend the rest of his life with someone? he had a lot of questions after you fluttered his heart, but he still said it back, which is why it's his favorite.
S = Security (how protective are they? how would they protect you? how would they like to be protected?)
he seems unconcerned, but he is fairly protective. he'd give you trinkets and devices to help you defend yourself, as I said before (tasers, switchblades, ect.). however, this doesn’t prevent him from taking charge as well. he doesn't need protection because he knows he can take care of himself. but, hey, he wouldn't mind if you took charge and did it for him one day. at the very least, secretly. because he would scold you for doing so.
T = Try (how much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, and everyday tasks?)
his effort level is a solid 7/10. he makes little effort even outside of your relationship, so don't blame yourself. he does a variety of subtle actions for his partner that are minor in comparison to what other boyfriends do for their partners, but it's his way. he would, however, give more effort and thought when it came to important dates (anniversary, birthday, ect.). he remembers things well in general, but when it comes to you, he’s even better. if you mentioned something you couldn't do (like reorganizing your closet), he'd do it as a gift along with something else similar. perhaps a delicious home-cooked dinner, followed by a massage (he's full of surprises). small things are important to him, and he applies that attitude to his relationship.
U = Ugly (what would be some bad habits of theirs?)
he doesn’t go to the gym, which is not necessarily a "bad" or "ugly" habit. just wanted to mention this. his fitness level is the lowest because he spent most of his time studying before the borderlands and never really valued it afterward. sure, he had to do it during his time in the hospital, but he wouldn't go on his own after that. maybe randomly a few days but that’s all.
V = Vanity (how concerned are they with their looks?)
he truly doesn’t care 💀. he doesn’t even have a hair routine so you’d have to assist with that.
W = Whole (would they feel incomplete without you?)
of course. he’s not ice cold. you became a part of his daily routine, so your leave would be painful.
X = Xtra (a random headcannon for them)
he doesn't make an attempt to celebrate valentine's day, so if you don't care about it much either, it’ll be simply another day. if you really like it, he’ll massage you and give a “happy valentine’s” kiss on your forehead.
Y = Yuck (what are some things they wouldn't like, either in general or in a partner?)
he doesn’t like soft sweets. he’d take a jollyrancher or any other hard candy — but not soft sweets.
Z = Zzz (what is a sleep habit of theirs?)
he doesn't need an alarm since his body is naturally programmed to wake up early. so, if you need to get somewhere early and aren't good at getting out of bed on time, he'll be there to help. but be warned: he'll try four times before giving up and letting you sleep in.

English is not my first language. Sorry in advance for any mistakes.
Tumblr media
After being hit with a sharp object by the King of Spades, causing the flesh to rip open, you stumbled through the street in pain. He got your shoulder while you were trying to run away from him. You also lost your friends along the way which made you more worried than you already are.
The only thing keeping you from losing any more blood is the hand-made bandage you wrapped around your shoulder from a ripped shirt, but it still hurts like hell causing you to wince softly with each movement you made.
You were currently hiding behind a car when you heard gunshots, but luckily not in your direction. You took the opportunity and relaxed while examining your surroundings in front of you. Noticing bodies that were already rotting makes you feel pity and disgust at the sight.
When a car suddenly stopped behind your hiding spot, your body froze in terror. You stood up and prepared to run ignoring the sting of pain coursing through your arm. Not daring to look back, you set foot to take flight but then familiar voices stopped you abruptly.
"___ wait! Get in!" Kuina yelled in your general direction making you gasp at hearing her voice again finally.
Turning around quickly you didn't waste time running to the car when you noticed the one you were longing to see out of the corner of your eye. He was also in a hurry to get to the car filled with your friends while also noticing you.
"Chishiya-!" You scream in relief, but your attention is quickly drawn to the object thrown in front of your feet. It's a grenade.
"That's bad. Go!" Chishiya yelled in the direction of the car before taking your hand. Stuffing both of his and one of yours into his pockets he went running. As he dragged you away from the grenade, you could still feel the explosion, causing you both to stumble into a nearby shop.
He drew you down behind the counter with him causing your shoulder to collide with his, forcing you to wince in pain.
Chishiya moved back to examine you after noticing your discomfort. His normally calm expression had changed to one of concern after noticing the dried blood on your skin.
"Your arm is covered in blood, need to tell me something?" He inquired as he raised his worried gaze from your injury to you. You nodded briefly before attempting to remove the bandage so he could examine your wound, but he quickly grabbed your hand softly, stopping you.
"I got hit in the shoulder with something sharp by the King of Spades." You told him instead and he nodded at your words.
He slowly opened the bandage, trying not to cause you any more pain, his brow furrowed at the sight of your injury.
"The wound needs to get stitches for it to close properly. You ever gotten stitches before?" He questioned and went in search of a first aid kit. He quickly found one hanging on the wall, took it, and returned to where you were resting behind the counter.
"Yeah, one time but the area got numbed. So I don't know how much it's going to hurt without it."
"It's going to hurt a lot but I'll make it quick for you. Tell me if the pain gets too much to handle, okay?" He requested in his calm voice as he took out the things he needed.
Swallowing the lump in your throat you answered him with a short, "Okay. I trust you."
With a small encouraging smile, he went to work on your wound, beginning by cleaning it with alcohol-soaked watt pads. You winced loudly at the burning sensation but remained calm.
"Done. You did great. I'm going to stitch it up now, if it's hurt too much let me know." He waited to continue until you gave him the okay to start.
After giving yourself time to gather your thoughts and prepare for the next section, you responded with a, "Okay. I'm ready; you can begin stitching."
He began to stitch it while giving you another small encouraging smile. To say the least, the needle piercing through your skin was painful, but his encouraging words along the way made your pain almost go away.
"You're doing great, ___. I'm almost finished." Your wound was closed up again by piercing the last stitch through your skin and tying it up with a knot. Letting out the breath that you were holding in you took a closer look at your shoulder and noticed that the stitches were nearly invisible.
Sighing, you leaned back against the counter and closed your eyes for a moment. The pain was now much more bearable, and you could move your arm without feeling as if your entire arm had been stabbed.
The silence that filled the shop was relaxing you a lot. And knowing that he's with you again made your heart explode with happiness. His presence alone made you feel safe and you knew with him being with you nothing can hurt you.
"I will not let anyone hurt you again." Your eyes opened and you looked at him as your mouth formed a loving smile at his words. Hearing that from him made you almost tear up with joy.
"Thank you very much, Chishiya. I'm glad we've found each other again. I was missing you." His calm expression was back, but his eyes showed contentment as he looked at you.
"I love you." You mumbled as your head fell onto his shoulder, exhaustion gripping your body. Chishiya moved in closer to you, allowing you to fully rest on his side and shoulder.
He took your hand in his and squeezed it lovingly, turning his head away from you after giving you a soft kiss on the top of your head. Not wanting you to notice the slight blush forming on his face.
You found yourself drifting off to sleep, but not before hearing him whisper quietly, "I love you too." Thinking that you're already asleep he laid his head on top of yours also longing for a nap.
With a smile on your face, you fell into a much-needed nap.
