i like to think that hassel befriends caine simply bc hes so fascinated and wants to know the inner workings of the circus and also just how advanced caine is as an AI. sure the friendship started out as one-sided and an attempt to get information n maybe to find an exploit of some sort but it soon becomes a real, genuine friendship.

I hope you're not missing the metal meltdown of half the fandom right now. The new epilogo is indeed worse than the last one, not that much for the izuocha like there are like a foot page but how bakugou is treated, you can see a lot fans crying.

I've seen it. I wasn't going to comment until there was a translation out because there's no point in reacting to leaks.

And actually, I disagree. I have several bones to pick with this epilogue, but overall it's a better ending than 430 for a number of reasons.

I like the focus on Ochako's quirk counseling program. It shows that the focus became more holistic and tailored to the needs of the individual child. The problem with the prior quirk counseling was that it was all about suppression/fitting into a narrow role society assigns to each person, not the idea of counseling children on quirk usage itself. It looks like Uravity's program is more about meeting the needs of the individual children, which was what their society needed to prevent villains in the first place.

It also clears up that Izuku would have chosen to teach regardless, and that it wasn't a sad consolation prize as initially portrayed in 430. It's a positive development that Izuku was able to put his own needs first: both in being able to tell Bakugou no because Izuku has his own dreams and in reaching out to Ochako at the end of the chapter.

This chapter was a great endpoint for Bakugou's character development, and I don't understand why people are crying about it. Look at where he started. Could 14 or even 16 year old Bakugou accept rejection and acknowledge Izuku's value as a person with that kind of grace? Could he have attended the party of a classmate who ranked much higher than him without making everything about himself? He has genuinely become an adult.

Some of my main gripes with it are the ranking system continuing to exist, the lack of anything on the Shigaraki issue, the unresolved quirk singularity lurking in the background, and the strange portrayal of pursuing a romantic relationship as a "selfish" endeavor.

Prior to TGED the only romantic relation he develops is with Siluria and even then we don't know if they did anything during the relationship (short as it was). In TGED, this man constantly rejects love letters, is glued to his masters side 24/7 and doesn't even sleep in his own room. You think he has time to experience sex? Or even sleep with anyone that isn't his master??

Personally I fuck heavy with the hc that he idolizes the relationship between the Frontera Count and Countess. A marriage born out of pure love and adoration that wasn't bogged down by duty and politics. Its what he wants for himself; a person he can love wholey without holding back and be loved in the same way in return.

Unfortunately for him however, it ends up being Lloyd he yearns to have that kind of relationship with.

What Im getting at is that he's a painful virgin who's never seen a naked person in an intimate setting before.

Ik we get some looks in Kim Suho's life before but I feel like he'd have more experience in comparison. At least compared to Javier that is.

Throwing these two together could only lead to an awkward–but sweet–first time where Lloyd ends up taking the reigns for both their sakes and soothing Javier whenever he starts second guessing himself.

at first blush, zuko seems like an odd choice for its vessel. but the blue spirit senses what the prince could be, if he would just open his eyes to it. lucky for it, it can quite literally force prince zuko to see through its eyes! as far as its concerned, their relationship is a symbiotic one. as far as zuko's concerned, he's become the unwilling host to a spirit that works against fire nation interests.

as far as iroh's concerned. well. he's just concerned. in general. his nephew has been possessed by a spirit and iroh cannot entirely tell what it is that it wants from him- and it seems to think nothing of putting zuko in harm's way. at first he believes that it can only control his nephew when he is wearing the blue spirit mask, and attempts to quietly dispose of it...

...which doesn't work, of course. it finds its way back.

and it turns out the spirit doesn't need the mask to possess his nephew. it's just its preference. he buys zuko wards and charms that should protect him, but the blue spirit simply removes them the first chance it gets and tosses them overboard.

(it never minds iroh's interference. it's an amusing game he's playing with his vessel's uncle, as far as its concerned.)
