Pronouns: They/Them Heritage: Half-Elf Magical Specialty: Necromancy Year: 2nd Brief Description: Finch comes from a long lineage of necromancers, is widely considered one of the only child prodigies to come out of that field, and possesses the ability to speak to the dead. They're ambitious and your self-proclaimed academic rival. They don't like sharing the top spot and is antagonistic towards you, even more so if they learn your true identity. The lines between disdain and affection are very fine, however, and there's the possibility to sweep their feet out from under them when they least expect it.

Pronouns: She (default)/They (selectable) Heritage: Faefolk (Pixie) Magical Specialty: Shapeshifting Year: 3rd Brief Description: Desily is a difficult spirit to pin down, often doing what she wants when she wants to. She loves playing hard to get and causing general uproar, then slipping away to let others deal with the aftermath. She's fickle, even for a fae, but obsessive. If you're not careful, you may fall into her grasp without even realizing it. If you so choose to spend time with her, be prepared to partake in any schemes she may cook up.

A jack of all trades, Merrick is a little good at most magic, but they wanted to learn more about what was beyond the sea. They're not the bravest, but they'd do anything for a close friend. Perhaps they'll take a liking to you.

Pronouns: He (default)/She/They (selectable) Heritage: Draconic Royalty Magical Specialty: Ice and Temperature manipulation Year: 4th Brief Description: Caidrith, or simply Caid, as you know him, is the only person at Dawnholde who knows of your past. Caid is the second-born to the rulers over northern dragonkin. Though his chances of accquiring the throne are low, it's better to be safe than sorry. He enrolled in the school to learn self defense, then stuck around for the people. You've known him since childhood, as your parents often had strategy meetings together. He can be stoic, but you know Caid cares for you, though maybe not in a way you know of.

Name: Rycharde, Knight of the Tainted Lands

Pronouns: He/Him Heritage: Catfolk Magical Specialty: Protection and Healing Year: 3rd Brief Description: Rycharde hails from a plague-ridden kingdom on it's last legs. Catfolk are usually able to use magic due to distant Fae ancestery, but Rycharde has no innate magic. Instead, he draws on the patron deity of his city for his power, making him a magician instead of a mage. He's proud of his failing homeland and devoted to his city, but that's not the only thing he could turn his attention to. After all, temptation is one hell of a motivator.

Pronouns: She/Her Heritage: Manifested Air Elemental (Birdfolk appearance) Magical Specialty: Divination Year: 1st Brief Description: Cere takes the form of a birdfolk, but is a manifested elemental in reality. She takes great pride in her appearance and is quite vain, but hates being the center of attention and keeps to herself. She's flighty and a perfectionist, leaving herself conflicted on what she really wants, be it freedom and impulsive decisions or to finish her "secret project." Maybe she'll let you in on it if you're nice to her?

Hi, we're Xiathiau (you can call us Xia or Catharsis) and we're 16. (NSFW blogs that follow us will be blocked)

We are queer, nonbinary, polykin, and fictionkin/fictionflicker. We're also british, posic, and plural.

We use many names, Xiathiau/Xia being just one, but the main ones on this blog. Others include Equinox, Eclipse, and Catharsis, plus we use a different name for each of our kintypes to distinguish between them. Each kintype name is in the description of their respective side blogs.

We're autistic, and our special interests are hypnosis (SFW!!) and space, specifically black holes.

Little note: We are neither antiship nor proship. To be honest, we'd probably lean more towards proship than antiship. As far as this sort of "topic" goes, we go by a "don't like, don't read" rule, and we are of course against anybody getting harassed for fictional scenarios. Snake appreciation month: AU (Part one)

I got hooked pretty badly by Baldur's Gate 3 recently, so here is my BG3 AU (it turned out pretty big so there will be two parts)

Selik Aleantilthar was born in Evereska - a secreted elven city, hidden from the rest of the world. A sudden eclipse happened during that, and for someone it could be a bad omen but for elves it was a sign of Erevan Ilesere — a trickster god of Seldarine (elven pantheon), also known as "The Chameleon" or "The Evershifting Shapechanger". So, Selik's parents didn't pay much attention to that, thinking that their child will be cunning and good at deception or maybe become a future priest of Erevan. Well...they weren't wrong about the first part.

Strange things began to happen since his childhood. High elves carry some fae magic in them, being able to cast small spells like fire bolts or dancing lights even if they aren't mages. Selik... could do none. Nothing, no matter how loud he chanted spells or moved his hands or drew sigils. Like there wasn't any magic in him at all. His parents and everyone else were shocked, hoping that his magic is just sleeping and maybe will show up later. "Tomorrow" turned into "Next week, month, year, decade"... Until they finally gave up when Selik turned 50 which was still a very young age for an elf. He was left to train with weapons and getting into the army when all he wanted was to see the world he heard so much about from outsiders who had the permition to enter Evereska or from books he liked to read.

Then...the troubles came. First were nightmares: dreams of a giant beast, roaring and causing carnage. Then came the aggression, Selik's fighting style became more violent, savage even, leaping on his opponents like a feral beast, trying to bite them and draw blood. And finally, his eyes started turning yellow, his nails turning into claws and green scales were showing on his face and body. Of course everyone, especially Selik and his parents were scared shitless. They knew that there were no dragons or serpent folk in their family so that surely was some kind of curse. Or demons. Or, the worst of all, their child could turn out a Bhaalspawn - a living creature with blood of Bhaal, the vicious god of Murder, in their veins. So, another 50 years Selik is taken to the shrines, temples, priests, coming to Evereska, but they can't see anything related to demonic possession or Bhaal's influence.

As decades passed, Selik couldn't take it anymore. Even if everyone pretended that they won't turn away from him, he still felt like an outsider. A High elf who can't do any magic, has severe anger issues, snake eyes and a forked tongue... Maybe he really was cursed. Maybe even by Erevan himself. Why? Who knows, maybe that day the Trickster was just not in the mood. So, as soon as he turns 100, when an elf is considered an adult among their kin, Selik decides to leave the Evereska to find answers to his questions and maybe a cure to his condition. He takes a new name — "Cedric Highmight", more comfortable and easy to pronounce for non-elves, joins groups of adventurers, caravans, traiders, trying to earn gold as a mercenary, but doesn't stay long with anyone, afraid that they will turn away after finding out about his ugly secret. When he hears about Baldur's Gate — a large city on the Sword Coast, full of possibilities, he decides to move there, hoping to find a more stable job where he will use his silver tongue than sword, than risking his life killing monsters and protecting caravans, and find out more about his scaley problem. But when he was on his way to the Gate, he was abducted by mindflayers whose ship then crashed on an unknown shore. Luckly (or not), not alone.

And so his adventure in the "band of infected freaks" begins.

The common people forced to fend for themselves as the resources that were once abundant have long been consumed; exploited and destroyed by the fearful aristocrats of the Oikos Ward. The "prophetic, or godly tied" rulers, the Simirinov family, have placed the city into a draconic rule of law since the very start, using their Wardens as hounds against the common people below. Those outside of the ruling class have banded together within the snowed-in Favela's, founding a northern hospitality despite the Simirinov's violent presence. Faith, Promises and Punk-ish attitude are the only things that keep you alive in the dark north.

Thrown into the fray at the footsteps of a Hitao Stalf, towers dedicated to free heating for the misfortunate, the group were unwillingly pulled in the midst of a mass conspiracy. A Gang known as the Death Mistresses, A Pseudoscientist Wizard, the Royal Family, a Grand Conservatory, all working with or against something from the Otherside, a being able to pull on the strings of emotions and takeover the mind suddenly; the being? Legacy's previous Patron and Fey witch, Lene-Scarlett. Backstabbed by her Unwilling Coven in the Fey-reflection of Vik. Lene was severed from her body, having her mind unknowingly scattered to the Material plane, while her body endlessly rots in the Feywild. For a stretch of time she was satisfied twisting the emotions of the royal family and acting as a surrogate god to them, but now is severed from them aswell. The Old Queen Amelia's ritual managed to protect her and her children's mind from her twisting, but now Lene demands a new body again, turning her sights to someone more apt to her warping. Legacy, a body and mind without soul is her new target, and is happy to exact revenge on the ruling family and their city, who banished her again.

Fending off the twisted emotions of a rival gang leader under Lene's grasp and saving the city from near destruction, the group, now crowned The Lichendogs, turned to work tenuously with the Old Queen once again, both determined to finish this once and for all. However, with most of the group being those from the Favela's or Exurbs of the city, they were plenty familiar with the cruelty of the Simirinov line and kept her at a safe distance; only working together when necessary. Lumen and Juliette, a punk from the Favela's and a reactionary princess from the Oikos found something unique, something Lene could use against them, yes, but unique none the less, a young love. Finn and Melody reunited with their lost families, freeing them from prison or reconnecting after many years. Legacy found purpose, both as a unprecedented life in the World, but aswell a friend to all those that were damaged by Lene's torment. And Lene? though she is doomed to live until the near-very end of time, her mind is stuck in a endless dream within Legacy. Ultimately, getting what she wanted after all these years, but not the way she expected, the two are now one but she is not in the drivers seat.

Faes of the Stars

Here's the first bit of my au story! Rather short but this story is separated in 3 chapters for now, then I plan to post short story adventures and drabbles to explore the world and au while I think on the actual story more. Enjoy~!

Chapter 1: 

Faes Lost

The harsh wind of the storm abused the foliage of the forest, the rain falling in sheets. The only source of light was the occasional strike of lightning. 

One pink dragon, colored like the aurora, panted hard as she held an egg to her chest, another youngling in her mouth. She looked left and right as if searching for something. She then darted into a large bushy canopy, hidden off the path. She set the egg down and then her youngling

“Eclipse, I need you to stay right here with your sibling,you understand me?”

“B-but mom-“

“Please sweetheart! This is the best way I can keep you safe! I’ll come back for you as soon as I can. I promise…” 

“W-will you be ok?”

“Of course my little one…” she had pressed noses with the drakling and licked his face. 

“Please, don’t move and don’t make a sound, use the mud and flowers to mask your scent and keep your glow down, you hear me? Those cats mustn’t catch a sniff or sound of you.” 

“I understand mom..”

“Good…I’ll get the Queen and be back by the morning light…stay safe and stay quiet..” 

The dragon had then fled, leaving her babies hidden and leading away the cats that hunted them. 

“COME HERE FAE!!” 

“TRESPASSER! YOU DRAGONS KNOW THE DEAL! ZYTRIX WILL HAVE YOUR WINGS!!” 

Eclipse whimpered quietly as the yelling died down. The thickness of the trees protected him and his unborn sibling from the cold and rain. Eclipse curled around the egg, shutting his eyes and dozing off to wait for his mothers return…

But she never did…

Hours passed. Night become morning, morning became afternoon. Afternoon became evening

Another large beast strolled through the mud and wet grass. Another dragon, furry with the face of a canine. Her sea green eyes scanned the area. The storm had done its damage. 

Her large ears suddenly flicked when she heard a sound and blinked. She knew the cat clan was here…she could smell them everywhere. 

Lowering her body to prepare for an attack in case she needed to, she crept toward the sound slowly…she peeked into the foliage…and stared wide eyed at the sight in front of her. A young drakling, a rusty gold color with a black stripe down its black, large orange frills on the sides of its head, surrounding like a Lion, and the frilled crest on top, blue and purple in color. She took note of the insect like wings and antennae. It was curled around something too…practically protecting it. 

A young Fae dragon…out here? What had happened to the others, she wondered. It was then the youngun took notice of the intruder and gasped before trying to hide more into the canopy. 

“Hey hey…easy there.” She crooned softly. “You lost hun? Ya need help? Where’s your momma?” 

Eclipse gulped, wrapping his tail around the egg. “I-I don’t know…she said she’d be here but…” the little starry fae dragon’s gold and red mismatched eyes watered at the thought that entered his mind next. 

“I…I think the cats got her…” 

The draconic hound pinned her ears back. Zytrix’s group…the territorial felines would demand food or a life toward anyone that trespassed in their lands. 

“It’s okay honey…” she assured. “My names Ana, what’s yours?”

“E-E-Eclipse…”

“Eclipse huh? That’s a strong name. Why don’t you come with me Hm? I can bring ya right to the queen of dragons herself and we’ll figure something out. Get some warm food in yer belly too. Does that sound good?” Ana asked, keeping a soft smile on her muzzle. 

Eclipse lifted his head, opening up a bit more to the dragoness standing over him. He nodded slowly, feeling the grumbling start up in his belly at the mere mention of a good meal.

Ana hummed a chuckle, she noticed what Eclipse had been protecting this whole time too. A single egg. Blue and gold with sparkles like stars. She frowned lightly. 

“That your baby brother or sister huh?” 

Eclipse looked down at the egg and nodded. 

“Mom wanted me to keep them safe…” 

Ana nodded. “You’re very brave hun…may I?” She asked, holding out a paw. Eclipse looked at it, seeming to think…then he nodded and uncurled around the egg. Ana took it in her arm and held it to her chest, against her warm fur. 

“Okay, are you able to walk honey? Or should I carry you?” 

Eclipse shook his head, his frills shaking slightly from the movement. “I can walk!” 

Ana smiled and chuckled again at the draklings willingness to do things himself. 

“Alright, stay close to me. Let’s get you somewhere safe hm?” 

Eclipse nodded again, rather happy to be with someone willing to help and protect them. He trotted alongside Ana as she led him out of the forest and toward the kingdom.

INFO / PLACES OF INTEREST

Sparia (Spare-ee-uh) - Your homeland, a highly traditional kingdom. Ruled by a monarch, with you as the heir to the throne. Magic is expected to be used only in ceremonial settings, and most citizens have never left the island. This is your old home.

Sacred Sea - A sea of legend, the Sacred Sea has perpetually calm waters. Rumor has it that when the waves stir up, disaster is about to befall the neighboring lands.

Solador - Notable locations: Dawnholde Institute for the Arcane. The land is constantly under a solar eclipse for an unknown reason. Very little flora can grow here.

Ormrgrad (Or-mer-grad) - Home to many dragonkin and ruled by the Emperor and Empress. The Emperor presides over the north, and the Empress, the south. Notable locations: Ormrgrad City, the capital. On the border of the north and south regions. Caidrith was born in the city to the royal family.

Northern Ormrgrad - Snowy and mountainous, few dragonkin make their home here, but the ones who do are very resilient. Many true dragons live in the far north.

Southern Ormrgrad - The desert region of Ormrgrad. Most dragonkin live here, as well as ground-dwelling dragons. Oases with settlements are scattered throughout.

Leodosan Wilds (Leo-doe-san) - A sparsely inhabited area with few cities, the Leodosan Wilds are home to most earth and water elementals. The few fae that reside outside the Fae Wilds are mainly benevolent, however, the farther south you travel, the more hostile the inhabitants become. Cere lived here prior to coming to Dawnholde.

Entrance to the Hells - The cave that leads to the first layer of the Hells. Many lesser infernals live in the tunnel network.

Fae Wilds - Birthplace of all fae creatures, though not all choose to stay there. The land is brimming with magic and the capital city is Islahaer.

Islahaer (Ee-la-hair) - The capital of the Fae Wilds. Many elves also live here, in addition to the few remaining humans from the Lost City of Echoport. Desily hails from here.

The Tainted Lands - Notable Locations: The Lost City of Echoport. An old, plague-ridden human kingdom. Few creatures live here now, and most of those who do are in constant quarantine. Rycharde was training to be a knight before the city closed its gates.

Lake of Lucidity - The lake in which all rivers in the area flow to.

Defiant Deep - The northern sea, filled with ancient monsters and deep sea merfolk. Few ships that set sail here reach their destination.

Ocean of Benevolence - Notable Locations: Merdae (Mer-day). The warmer, southern ocean that many civilized merfolk call home. Includes the royal capital, Merdae. Most merfolk in the capital are very rich, but the farther away from the capital they live, the less they have. Merrick comes from a small town 10 miles from the city.

NOT ON THE MAP

Aiszuth (Ice-zooth) - A run-of-the-mill human city with a thriving criminal underworld. The governor may appear to maintain power, but the true power belongs to the necromancers of the Undercity. Finch comes from the most renowned lineage of necromancers.

I've seen a lot of art with Sun/Moon/Eclipse as mers of various species (mers more than anything else), harpies, and faes. How come nobody draws them as dragons?

There has been a fair few art drawn of them as dragons! At least from what i've seen, so i suppose it's a matter of who you follow

Review of the Zodiac Academy: The Awakening.

You have been selected to attend Zodiac Academy, where your star sign defines your destiny.

If you're one of the Fae, elemental magic is in your blood. And apparently it's in ours. As twins born in the month of Gemini, we're a rare breed even in this academy of supernatural a-holes.

Changelings were outlawed hundreds of years ago but I guess our birth parents didn't get the memo. Which means we're totally unprepared for the ruthless world of Fae.

Air. Fire. Water. Earth.

No one has ever harnessed all four of them, until we arrived. And it hasn't made us any friends so far.

As the rarest Elementals ever known, we're already a threat to the four celestial heirs; the popular, vindictive bullies who happen to be some of the hottest guys we've ever seen. It doesn't help that they're the most dangerous beasts in the Academy. And probably on earth too.

Our fates are intertwined, but they want us gone. They've only got until the lunar eclipse to force us out and they'll stop at nothing to succeed.

We never knew we had a birthright to live up to but now that we do, we intend to claim our throne.

We can't expect any help from the faculty when it comes to defending ourselves. So if the dragon shifters want some target practice, the werewolves want someone to hunt or the vampires fancy a snack then we have to be ready. But we've been looking after each other for a long time and fighting back is in our blood.

Now this book series has been in my leo review book for some time and i think i can pop open the notes about it.

The authors provided a proper map and made great detail of each location when it was brought up upon in the book.

The authors also made the romance somewhat believable to a limit with a forbidden romance and an age gap with a side of flings.

The only characters i hate thus far are Darius and Seth...i hope they sit on a cacti with no lube!

Lore/story au's

mechanical medic AU-Ralph the repair dragon works as a moving parts and service. But is haunted by 3 fragmented souls of mechanics that died in the Plex. Sun n Moon struggle to get the medical mechanic animatronic to leave them alone.

Rusty wheels-a apocalypse au were a nanite Afton virus infects the world. It's cyberpunk with a rustic feel. Y/N has a big truck sized motorcycle thing and finds sun n moon. And drags them in their attempts of adventure and survival.

Warehouse AU-after the fire story were the dca, Freddy, DJ, foxy and Bonnie are moved to a big werehouse (owned by a y/n) is modified into a mini Plex (honestly more like a side road arcade that's bigger). And the dca has to relearn how to function with the band.

purrfect thief-you are a shape-shifting cat. You work with The gang Lord Eclipse but live as a house cat with the detectives Sun and Moon. You are an informant with the spiders web. A info company owned by DJ. Life has been simple and happy. But on the horizon a pack of dogs is ready to ruin that simple life.

saving waves-a sun n moon mer story. Were sun n moon were once in our lab/mer fighting facility. They are saved by a rehab facility and have to learn how to be normal Mer again. Also following the other side of the family. Who are trying to get pesky humans to stay out of their wild waters.

red, blue, and black-a SAMS AU where suns kill code merge with him and Moon is attempts to control his kill code makes two AI but fails. computer takes over and creates eclipse with those two AI. Eclipse then has to figure out how to keep his family together.

Cryptid eater-a Sun and Moon are Hunters story but you are a creature that eats vampires and werewolves and things like such. And the story takes place with you trying to convince them that you're on their side.

warehouse daycare-a version of the warehouse AU where it's only sun n moon. The werehouse is smaller and they grow a closer relationship with y/n and a emotional support cat.

Story's ive had since childhood.

Most of these stories occur in the same or adjacent universe and are more likely to get to to get drawn due to my familiarity with it.

Shadow wars-Major wars that occurred in the history of dragons. Particularly wars of Shadow dragons versus light dragons. split up into four.

Outsting of the dark(Shadow dragons being misjudged and cast out),

shadons terror(an evil emperor of Shadow dragons taking revenge only to be beaten by family),

falling twins(a family split by different ideals),

the hybrid(a hybrid child that finally solves the war).

chains-The comic series I started as a kid about a wolf and his companions as they travel. Split into three.

The fallen stars(how chains fell out with his best friend),

fleeing revenge(chains fleeing his old friend now enemy),

God war(chains son and others get in a great war over religion and power).

dreamers musing-various stories that take place on "the a locked door". Occurring from dragons, Kings, knights, dinosaurs, animals. anything that comes to mind that uses the same gods.
