Seasonal sugars have always been a thing, yes we still love @dixie_crystals but this recipe came from deeeeeep within the old handwritten recipes left behind by my granny’s mother. They didn’t have much but they had a cow and chickens and honey, molasses, or sap syrups and occasionally some cinnamon (usually around Christmas). Custard was mostly a winter treat. Poor man’s dessert looks an awful lot like fancy food these days doesn’t it. Mamaw made it in emptied tin cans, I edited that part to ramekins because I’m sure not many people are holding on to their tin cans after use these days. . . . . . . . . #poundcake #fallbaking #fallrecipes #fallrecipe #sweettooth #bakery #bakersofinstagram #bakersgonnabake #recipes #recipe #f52grams #f52community #easyrecipes #quickrecipes #recipeshare #recipeideas #dessert #foodie #comfortfood #comfortfoods #foodiesofinstagram #southernfood #foodstagram #nytimescooking #tasteofthesouth #tasteofhome #southernliving #imsomartha #cottagecore https://www.instagram.com/p/CndO2ABuLCX/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

These sweet maple glaze and apple cider flavors make these baked doughnuts a delightful treat. These are ideal anytime you want a delicious doughnut without having to fry themon a chilly fall morning, for example!
Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1 1/2 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp baking soda. 1 tsp ground cinnamon. 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg. 1/4 tsp salt. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1/2 cup brown sugar. 2 large eggs. 1/2 cup apple cider. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted. 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt. 1 tsp vanilla extract. For the Maple Glaze:. 1 cup powdered sugar. 2 tbsp maple syrup. 2 tbsp milk. 1/2 tsp vanilla extract.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and grease a doughnut pan. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, apple cider, melted butter, Greek yogurt, and vanilla extract until well combined. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix. Spoon the batter into the prepared doughnut pan, filling each mold about 2/3 full. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the doughnuts spring back when touched. While the doughnuts are baking, make the maple glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, maple syrup, milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth. Once the doughnuts are done, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Dip each cooled doughnut into the maple glaze, allowing any excess glaze to drip off, and place them back on the wire rack to set. Enjoy your delicious Apple Cider Baked Doughnuts with Maple Glaze!

These Maple Pumpkin Baked Donuts are a delightful fall treat with the warm flavors of pumpkin and maple. They're baked, not fried, making them a healthier option for satisfying your donut cravings.
Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup pumpkin puree. 1/4 cup maple syrup. 1/4 cup brown sugar. 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce. 1/4 cup milk. 1 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp baking soda. 1/2 tsp cinnamon. 1/4 tsp nutmeg. 1/4 tsp salt. 1 egg. 1 tsp vanilla extract. For the glaze:. 1/2 cup powdered sugar. 2 tbsp maple syrup. 1 tbsp milk.
