Once again begging y’all to be normal about child actors

It’s - it’s so creepy to Me? The obsession of finding photos that aren’t for the public or reposting what they did fanning over them (which could easily just be left as a comment? Like you have no need to make another post about their photo) etc

It’s particularly a problem when it comes to Miguel. I don’t know what it is? Maybe because he’s hispanic? And there’s a nasty form of adultifcation that comes with it on this boy and it’s scary… the family photos, the yearbook photos - the tattoos the constant comments etc like there’s being a fan of someone and having posters on the wall etc then there’s some concerning behavior…

He’s so young and people are so obsessed and I honestly feel like it’s …. He may be on the track to being another Eddie Furlong. He was a cute kid and a decent actor and people got… so ungodly obsessed with him at a extremely young age and he’s proof that stuff can mess you up BAD. Good actor who fell to obesssive fans, addiction etc - he’s washed out today but still manically obsessed over to the point someone’s placing all their personal problems on to him because of their parasocial relationship problems. I don’t want this for Miguel or any other child actor… for the love of god be normal

I've been a "No ships for Alastor" person for the longest time bc I couldn't see him with anyone, but then episode 5 happened and Radioapple has taken over my life. I'm also not a big fan of making fankids/nextgens for my ships bc I don't like the idea that every couple needs a child (plus most of the ships that I like I just can't see dealing with kids)... Howeverrrrr the entirety of this ship is these two goobers trying to out-dad each other, so I just,,, created a child concept... for fun...

Premise: Lucifer and Alastor both made their own little versions of each other, so they can take their anger out on them, Charlie finds out, the above interaction happens, BOOM! Congratulations you goobers you now have a child.

Charlie is absolutely extatic about her new little brother, Lucifer is shocked at first but comes around quickly, Alastor... Alastor takes a while to warm up to the idea, but Cider's cuteness slowly wins him over. He 100% tries to hide it tho.

I think my most controversial cartoon take is that it’s not Lily Orchard’s fault that people turned on Steven Universe and I think the fandom just insists that happened because they don’t want to accept that people turned on the show years before it ended.

Like I literally remember Bismuth being the first episode that completely divided fans, and its lack of acknowledgement (among other issues such as a drop in writing and animation quality) pushing fans from the show. And that was TWO YEARS before LO’s video dropped

Lily Orchard’s video was only effective because it came out during the peak of the show’s hatedom/controversy. Season 5 was when I dropped off the show but I literally remember new episodes becoming heated debates every time they dropped and fans were so actively hostile towards criticism they genuinely thought making any sort of constructive critique was considered laughable or downright homophobic (had no issue complaining about random anime though, wonder why).

Really makes me laugh that there were dungeon meshi fans who were convinced that Lily Orchard’s negative review was going to make people turn on the show. Her LOK and Steven Universe videos were popular because they were already very controversial shows with a divisive fanbase. She also made a lot of videos heavily criticizing MLP, yet I don’t see people insisting that MLP is a terrible show undeserving of praise. It’s almost as if Lily Orchard is a deeply controversial figure in cartoon spaces and it makes no sense for one deeply unlikable person to influence the opinions of millions of people.

It’s okay to accept that people just didn’t like something, instead of looking for someone to blame.

Ultra Magnus's BIG TWO-PAGE entrance immediately being followed up by him just seeing Shockwave and immediately retreating is so fucked up. Like HERE HE IS, the BIG GUY READY TO FIGHT and he's intimidating as SHIT, but all Shockwave had to do was stand there and allow the memories to wash over Ultra Magnus and it disarmed him immediately. Whatever Shockwave did to him over all those centuries was so unbelievably fucked in the head, Magnus can't even look at him without freaking out and running away
