It's still the fic I think I'm most associated with, and as well as the original amazing art by @fantalfart and @deancebra-art, it now contains art and calligraphy by @bluebutter-art and @squintclover, and the bound copy from @emmalovesdilemmas is the first thing I wrote that I've got to hold in my hands! Plus, I still think it's the coolest concept of all my fics!

Dreaming Skies (Dron, E, 21k, co-written with Tacky) because it's the only fic of mine I've reread properly, and more than once, and I love it more - especially Ron - every time. Writing it (in 13 days!) with one of my all-time favourite authors, and writing it for @sitp-recs, was a dream.

Draco's life is going nowhere, so when Charlie Weasley offers him a job out on his reserve, Draco doesn't think twice before booking a Portkey. After all, it's not as if he has many other options. But when he arrives in Romania, he realises that nothing is quite what he expected...

(a story about dragons and baking, friendship and little kindnesses, putting down new roots and falling in love)

Silhouettes (Dronarry, E, 17k) because I was so proud of how this one came together. I love the triple POV, the challenge of it, and I love how it skirts the line of some tough difficult topics but stays pretty light. Also, it has one of my two favourite smut scenes I've ever written (other is in Waking Up Slow).

Draco's trying to fix the Burrow, Ron's trying to grieve, and Harry... well, just what is Harry actually doing, anyway?

A tale of grief, gardening, and ghouls, bad memories, bad puns, and bad flirting, and nudity both accidental and very, very deliberate.

Crash (Into Me) (Drarry, T, 14k) because writing this was hilarious (poor @graymatters trying to American-pick it), this was my first time properly writing Ron, and although it's one of the silliest things I've ever written, I think it's a really good concept (Drarry falling for each other during a 24-hour Quidditch match!)

Harry’s done plenty of ridiculous things for charity over the years, but Robards’ latest scheme really takes the biscuit. Or rather, the teacake.

Good job Malfoy’s there to suffer alongside him this time, eh?

Thameslink, the 07:29 from Luton (Drarry, G, 1k) because I think this is a very neat and fast paced little micro which came out well. I also remember chatting to you (Tacky) as I was writing this very quickly and last minute for @ihopeyoubothstaysafefromharm's birthday, and - it was just one of those fics that wanted to exist, iykwim.

The war is over, and all Harry Potter wants is to not feel like he's about to crawl out of his skin. Draco Malfoy is stuck with Voldemort's parting gift. One yearns for a soulmate while the other has no idea that they even exist.

In a world where soulmates can only see each others' true selves, the past becomes the past and the two embrace their future over cups of milky coffee.

Dig is a dear friend, and when I saw their prompt for coffee shop/soulmates AU, I had to snag it. Little did I know that fucking legend FANTALF loved the prompt as well and would reach out to collab. This is the result--it's a long way from the original prompt (sorry sorry sorry Dig), but something told me to dig (no pun intended) a little deeper into motivations and feelings. It started with an image of Harry walking down a dark street, and it ends in sunshine. Fantalf's art might as well have been plucked from my head and is perfect in every way--their talent is boundless. We had a great time working on this, and I hope you enjoy it <3

I’m a thousand years late to the LCDrarry party as usual, but I’ve had some time to check it out over the weekend and thought I’d do a rec list anyway. Here are my favourites among fic and art works, definitely recommend checking the whole collection here. I hope you enjoy these as much as I did!

And Draco discovers that sometimes, he can not only get what he needs, but he just might also get what he wants.

Which, at this moment, he most definitely is not. He looks like he's worn the same clothes for three days and just rolled out of bed, yet Harry's so unfairly gorgeous it makes Draco's heart ache. "What do you want, Draco?" Harry asks, his voice resigned. The question snaps Draco out of his reverie. "A divorce," he proclaims as he opens his bag.

July Fic Recs (HP edition)

I have mostly been reading short fics this month because life is stressful, but short is sweet, right?

What Works For Us by flightinflame (T, 1.8k, Draco/Harry) Scorpius wants to have short hair. Unfortunately, he doesn't want to have his hair cut. This is a short one, but so lovely and considerate and it gives me all the fuzzies!! Especially loved the hair clips.

Hints and Starts by nocturn (T, 1.8k, Remus/Severus) A collection of drabbles, and they’re all so good! It’s perfectly snack-sized for when you just need a tiny hit of Snupin to get through the day.  

Hell and other places by Tepre (M, 2.5k, Draco/Harry) Draco and Harry are investigating a haunted AirBnB - this fic is a wild ride start to finish and I absolutely adored it. A getting-together fic at breakneck speed, with absolutely hilarious levels of chaos. 

The infallible strength of darkness by @squintclover (M, 3.1k, Draco/Harry) A soft and lovely 8th-year fic around sleeplessness and the beauty and terror of darkness. The whole story feels like a nice cup of tea and a soft blanket. 

Unwritten by @fantalfart and inamamagic (E, 80k, Pansy/Ginny) One of the few long fics I’ve read this month, this one was a complete surprise to me. I hadn’t really read any Pansy-centric fics before, so I didn’t know what to expect but BOY this was glorious. The analysis of wizarding society is nuanced and poignant, and doesn’t distract from such a compelling romance between two women who’ve had to be strong for too long.

Are you looking for a challenge to spark new creative ideas? Interested in writing something a little different from your usual rhythm? Do you like to push the boundaries of your creativity? And most of all, do you enjoy gifting and being gifted? Then this is the fest for you!

Welcome to our Law of Attraction Fest, a gift exchange where you can explore the wildest things of your imagination, while making someone happy!

So, what is the Law of Attraction?

In physics, if a positive charge and a negative charge interact, their forces will act in the same direction and as a result, opposite charges attract each other.

In our gift exchange, though, it's everything about opposites attracting each other. Opposite personalities, colours, genres, themes, anything! You'll randomly be assigned an 'opposites attract' theme (eg light and dark) and get to explore experimental or crazy ideas!
