This weekend on the #FastMetabolismDiet, lots of salmon, healthy fats, salad and my new favorite, zoodles, plus a @planetfitness workout. I eat a lot of turkey burgers on the #FastMetabolismDiet but often when you're on a diet or specific meal plan, some of the foods can get boring. I used my Instant Pot on Sauté setting to crumble the pre-cooked turkey burgers and added taco seasoning, onions, and mushrooms. Two of the dishes I came up with are what I like to call Repurposed Turkey Burger Taco Wrap and the Repurposed Turkey Burger Taco Salad. My prep ahead. Our go to peanut butter overnight oats. We sometimes pair it with grain bed and eggs #fastmetabolismdiet OATS: 2 cups unsweetened almond milk, coconut milk, oat milk, or any milk of choice 4 Tbsps chia seeds 2 cups gluten-free old fashioned oats 8 Tbsps all-natural salted peanut butter 4 Tbsps maple syrup or raw honey TOPPINGS: fresh strawberries, or raspberries chopped peanuts peanut butter to drizzle on top if desired Instructions In a very large mixing bowl, add in your milk, chia seeds, oats, and maple syrup, or raw honey and stir to combine well. Fold in the peanut butter. Cover and refrigerate overnight, OR divide equally into mason jars or small bowls with lids, then fold in the peanut butter. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Once they're ready, stir your oatmeal really well, this will make it creamier. If you set it in the fridge overnight in a large bowl, or batch, divide equally into small mason jars, bowls, or cups and top with fresh berries, chopped peanuts for texture, and a drizzle of extra peanut butter if desired. Don’t call it a comeback...
...because it’s not! To call this a comeback would be to suggest I succeeded before and now I am back at it to succeed again. I haven’t yet succeeded, but I am back at it to try. 
So this past year has been a big one. I ended a five year relationship (que the sad “awww’s” and muffled crying). I got completely derailed, and have done nothing for a while health wise. I am now in a new relationship, and me and my boyfriend would like to be healthy together. I am hoping having that support will help.
He also told me something that stuck with me, he said that it isn't about motivation, because that will always eventually falter, you need to be disciplined. Anyone can do it if they are. (I know what you are thinking, and no I am not dating a monk wise beyond his years)
So, together we are starting the “fast metabolism diet”. I hate the name, by the way, but that’s not here nor there. It is basically a way of eating clean that supposedly gets your metabolism back on track. 
Hopefully I get better at maintaining this blog too, if not I guess I will see you in a year. :)
