aria!! hi!! hope all is well!! may I ask u for a ranking of Calum's tour outfits 👀 sending u positive vibes <3

myle!!!! beloved. ok i know i told you i needed time but i am finally forcing myself to do this. unfair as we all know i can only put 10 images in here, so here comes my ranking of calum's top ten outfits of the tour so far!

Starting off, in first place:

1. Milan (May 8th).There’s just something about suits — black suits — that just does it for me. It’s classy, if you do it the usual way, but because he’s Calum Hood and he’s insane, he wore a mesh shirt with it! Gracing us all with nice sneak-peeks of his tattoos. The docs with it really make the look for me, making it edgy. 10/10.

2. Ljubljana (May 6th). Listen. You might not expect this one to be so high up, but hear me out — this outfit is good. He tucked the shirt in, wore a nice grey to let the blue shine, the shirt itself is just one of my absolute personal favourites of his. It has such a pretty colour, the collar is cool with its v-shape, and the necklace really makes it, giving it all a nice finish. The thing about some of his tour outfits so far is that they’re not always… complete. Like there’s a nice shirt okay, and pants, but that’s where the list ends. This outfit is different. It’s fucking good. Almost perfect. 9.5/10.

3. Zurich (May 2nd). Another rather simple outfit, but i really love it. I like the short sleeves on the shirt, the choker/necklace with it, the cut of the pants. The whole dark colour (black i’m pretty sure although it looked green somewhere) really compliments his skin tone. It works so well for him over all! 9/10.

4. Hamburg (April 25th). My show hehe. I LOVE this shirt. What the fuck! It’s so cool, I love the stark contrasts and the motive. Besides, he paired it with shorts (sorry not to show them but i couldn’t not show that grin), and higher socks, and it was just hot. 9/10.

5. Prague (April 29th). Look. The orange sleeves are an eyecatcher. They lift the whole look up to another level! (I’m also an advocate for orange.) i really like it even tho it was otherwise simple. Also, again, the short sleeved button up and shorts with the socks, I am a fan! 8/10.

6. London (April 6th). I think we can all agree that we went a little insane over this. Right? Like… that shirt… had no business being that tight…. Also i really liked the pants! Green on Calum Hood is always a yes from me. And he’s smiling so cute. Apart from that: arm. Thank you! 7/10.

7. Plymouth (April 11th). This outfit has one fault. It is just a little too boring. I love the button up! It’s flowey and of thin material and an interesting pale colour, the cut is really nice, and he makes the wide pants with it work. But. It doesn’t go much further than that unfortunately. Great potential, but not perfectly executed. 7/10.

8. Vienna (May 3rd). Vienna! Vienna. If you missed my reblog spree of this photo you missed out. I reblogged that photo 20 times for a reason. I like this outfit! More every day than stage maybe, but I like that it puts black on the sideline for once, and the grey pants look great on him. The shirt is obviously also very nice. Also necklace. He knows what he’s doing with that and i don’t like it. 6.89/10.

9. Banquet Show (1) in London (April 1st)/Liverpool (April 9th). I’m putting these two together because he wore the same pants and only a different shirt in Liverpool with it. I like the pants, they’re fun! And especially in this case i like the long sleeve bc of the flames on the sleeve. He also wore the necklace with it. Even tho this is also a cosier outfit, the pants do make it and allow this one to be a 6/10.

10. Budapest (April 30th). The thing about this outfit is that while, Arm, that’s also it. I do appreciate arm but i also appreciate fitted clothes, sorry. It’s over all also very… normal. In comparison to the others. So that’s while it only gets a 4/10. Sorry!

I've seen this on my dash a few times now from different people and it's such a lovely idea!! I love seeing people talk about their own writing, it's so fun and positive and wholesome :)

Also this is... a lot harder than I thought it would be lol. I've written quite a bit over the past few years, and I'm usually pretty happy with just about anything that I write, so it's difficult to pick a top 5. But I guess, if I had to, I'd say:

It Was Only A Kiss (Kurtbastian). This is my biggest fic, and it was such an undertaking and I'm really just so proud of myself for finishing it. And the reception it got by the fandom was just so so phenomenal, I can't believe how supportive and enthusiastic so many people were about it.

Echoes of You (Klaine/Kurtbastian). This is still a WIP, but I'm pretty proud of a lot of what I've written so far. I've definitely made myself cry at least once while working on this. It's been slow going lately, so if anyone is reading I apologize, but I really want to make sure I do it justice.

He Forgets Me, He Forgets Me Not (Klaine). This fic, and the whole series, is really quite different to everything else I've ever written. It's also really, really personal to me, and I think maybe that's why it makes the list. It's angst, but a different kind of angst to what I usually write, and the verse as a whole has been an important outlet for me.

Keep It Simple (Klaine). This is just a sweet little Klaine proposal fic, and in my opinion it's also not really typical of what I usually write, but I just love the idea of a future!Klaine where this proposal happens, and I don't know. I think it's just a cute glimpse into their lives and I'm really glad I could put that into the world.

Note of an Old Mistake (Kurtbastian). I kind of just feel like this is a classic "me" fic? it's got angst, it's got smut, what else could you want? It's also my most popular one-shot, so it seems like other people appreciate it as well haha.

I would also love to encourage anybody who maybe hasn't received this ask yet to go ahead and make a list of your 5 favourites and post it! Feel free to say I tagged you. I just think this is such a great idea and I'd love to see what people are particularly proud of :)

5) If you had to choose a favourite out of all of your multi chaptered stories, which would it be and why? asldkjfsa well. the only multi-chaptered story i have right now is unmute? unless you count the mashton college au which is multi-part, so i'm going to just choose a favorite fic of mine, which would be Puzzle Pieces. it's my favorite type of soulmate au that does away with some of the issues i personally have with soulmate aus, it includes some really strong ot4 friendship, and it has sex-indifferent ace rep. i also think all of the characters are really sweet!!! it's the very early days of the band, so they're all young, but i like the youthfulness and the way they're all figuring out how to navigate the world together.

9) In your Partner Steps fic, what’s your favourite scene that you wrote? ooooo I think it's the scene at Ashton's house!!! that one stands out because it's a different location, but it also is in some ways the turning point for their relationship. it's taking a work friend and seeing if they can be a personal friend as well, and they were able to bond over their backstories and food and movies, which was very fun. plus, i got to namedrop kenny ortega, who directed my favorite movie (newsies) and produced my favorite show (julie and the phantoms), which was a delightful thing to be able to include

23) Do you prefer listening to music when you’re writing or do you need silence? i don't like silence, but sometimes music can be too distracting. it depends on what i'm listening to, what the project is, and my general mood. i also write while watching tv (usually procedurals like castle, csi miami, the fbis, etc), which is more distracting than music, but it really depends. the level of engagement i need with my background in order to successfully write is varied and honestly makes no sense

48) What’s your favourite trope to write? fake dating!!!!! i'm going to write one for each 5sos duo (i've already completed 3), and on top of that i have plans for four others (two rarepairs, then an extra for mashton and malum). as an actress the layer of acting/pretending really fascinates me, and i'm also personally really interested in how love can develop from actions/choices rather than those loving actions being a result of feelings. i believe that love is a choice, and that you could find a way to love almost anyone if they are open to it, so with fake dating it's kind of the idea of "i'm already doing these things that lovers do with you, so why shouldn't i simply be in love with you?" i also think that there are so many options for how to do fake dating. i know some people think that the trope gets repetitive but i have a whole list of different ways to do it, and all of my ideas are pretty different from each other

49) Can you remember the first fic you read? What was it about? i cannot! i've been reading fic for a decade. i have absolutely no clue what the first fandom i read for was, let alone the first fic!

oh my god thank you!! so,, idk if i've ever admitted to this one in a public space before but i don't think so.. eh the redacted is for damiano david.

this was actually one of the first fics i started to write for 5sos with lots of encouragement from ainslee and iba to go with the idea. essentially it's about calum meeting damiano and them hooking up. the og idea for that was to include smut. i, as a baby writer, feel barely comfortable writing anything, much less smut. so i've kinda worked myself into a corner with this one and basically didn't look at it for months. at the same time i am determined to finish it one way or another

Top 5 books I’ve read recently in no particular order:

Loveless by Alice Oseman. This was my first Alice Oseman book, and my favourite of her four YA novels that I’ve now read. Also I love ace/ aro rep that I relate to (not that everyone will, but I did).

Aristotle and Dante Dive into the Waters of the World by Benjamin Alire Saenz. I reread the first book in this series as well late last year, but I think I prefer Dive into the Waters of the World. It was angsty, sexy and iconic writing.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid. We love a rich, sometimes awful bisexual queen and Monique!! Everyone raves about this book for very valid reasons.

The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennet (this book is the only one on the list I didn’t give 5 stars and that was only because it started off slow, but by page 100 it really picked up).

One Last Stop by Casey McQuinston. I feel like Casey’s books are modern queer fairytales, that she does so well. Also I love Jane and the roommates so much (August is alright too).

Top 5 album covers in no particular order:

Reputation by Taylor Swift. It’s such an iconic album cover and I’m sad about the fact that one day there will be a new one!! It’s also a very clever cover with the newspaper fonts that all say Taylor Swift, because of the context of the album.

Nevermind by Nivrana. My dad had a poster of this album cover in his room for such a long time I think I like it through osmosis.

If I can’t have love, I want power by Halsey. It’s very powerful, and therefore very fitting.

Viva La Vida by Coldplay. Art ™️.

Folie a Deux by Fall Out Boy. I must’ve seen this album cover on Becky’s or Ana’s tumblr feed, but yeah I love it. I think it’s very nice to look at.

Favourite album would have to be Save Rock And Roll. It's the post-hiatus album and they came back and killed it and *saved rock and roll*. Every song is a banger and there's a whole cohesive music video series and it's really just his favourite album of theirs hands down.

If he were going to do a FOB song as a solo in the show, I could see Grand Theft Autumn about Quinn when she's still lying about Finn being the baby. "You need him/I could be him/I could be an accident but I'm still trying/And that's more than I can say for him" is PEAK Noah Puckerman trying to step up and be a dad while he thinks Finn is being useless at supporting her. I could also totally see him singing I Don't Care when he's in one of his badboy/self-loathing fazes and wants to act like he doesn't give a shit about anyone or anything.

As for Puckurt duets, hmm... I could maybe see HOLD ME TIGHT OR DON'T. Oh or maybe Fourth of July? I could imagine them taking turns with the "Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean any of it/I just got too lonely/In between being young and being right".

theo vs liam in the quest for morality: kitchen edition is the result of me trying to figure out an interesting and sort of rocky, realistic way for theo and liam to hash out their differences, post-canon. like, i'm as much of a thiam guy as the next, but as much as i think they could be tentative friends or at least allies, i think if they want to get to a point of complete trust and a relationship they are gonna have to smooth out a looot of bumps first. and this was just a conversation i imagined they might have, particularly about their different philosophies on killing. (i have some Qualms with moral crusader scott True Alpha mccall about his whole no-murder thing as well so those kind of get dovetailed into this.) it happens in liam's kitchen because we all know i'm a kitchens girl, but i have yet to figure out why theo would show up in liam's kitchen in the first place, hence why this is so aggressively unfinished. since you asked, here's a little snippet:

“You’re going to have to leave the nest eventually,” Theo says. “Just because Scott doesn’t kill people, doesn’t mean you don’t. Some people are better for the world when they aren’t breathing. If you really wanted to keep people safe, you’d realize that." His eyebrows creep upward, disapproval evident. "And you’d have killed me when you had the chance the first time.”

“If we’d killed you, I’d probably be dead.”

“This mindset is what's going to leave you dead,” Theo says bluntly. “I hope Scott is prepared to lose his beta to the moral high ground.”

so yeah!

narration is fun for the whole family is another thiam one but way more lighthearted. every once in a while i get struck by the desire to experiment with a very funny, wry narrator voice, and this was that. i'm not entirely sure what the plot was going to be but i whacked out the stuff that's currently in the doc and had a lot of fun doing it so hopefully i'll get the chance to keep at it.

“Liam!” Theo snaps. “Can you have your coming-out crisis when I’m not literally dying!”

“I’m already out,” Liam says confusedly, and will, of course, later blame Theo’s bitchy attitude and unclear joke on how blatantly Liam misunderstands his meaning. A moment — and a vicious glare from Theo — later, he gets it. “Oh, as a werewolf. They know, I just— look, this is so not the point, but I’m not leading hunters to my house. I’m not putting them in danger like that. So we have to go somewhere else.”
