new england winter: very cute and picturesque until you actually have to live here
listening
psycada by abstract, the opening track off the album hiking lung. a brief instrumental that sounds like a hazy-cicada-shimmer summer. it is a blisteringly hot day where you don't really have to do anything but even though you're out on the porch swing under the deck with a freezy pop it's not doing much. the vocals remind me very much of The Dandy Warhols once the rest of the album slides into more of a garage/psych rock vibe. a sort of understated fuzzy im-lying-down-right-now quality. i think these vocals would be background instead of lead in a more energetic track.
the album has several good tracks for the "datacore" playlist, which is full of mellow medium-paced instrumentals bc if i am alone with my thoughts while i clean addresses i will die

i have Bullet Train on hold at the library but tbqh this section is probably going to be me gloating over various crypto crashes for the forseeable future. Molly White of web3isgoinggreat.com reports on the Three Arrows Capital guys setting up a new venture to (checks notes):
Not only that [both partners currently on the run from their creditors], but the exchange plans to focus on claims trading — that is, the trading of claims held by creditors against debtors who are undergoing bankruptcy proceedings, like FTX, Celsius, BlockFi, or Mt. Gox (throwback!). The fact that 3AC was a major catalyst in kicking off the string of bankruptcies we saw throughout 2022 was not lost on observers, with Nic Carter of the Castle Island venture capital firm commenting that the endeavor "is akin to arsonists returning to the scene of the crime and offering to charge their victims for buckets of water".
mwah. very much glass houses since castle island is also on the verge of going under due to its almost total focus on blockchain infrastructure but GOD. what a sentence.
unpaywalled bloomberg article on the wayback machine here.
this is some of the dumbest fucking bullshit ive ever read and im so fucking happy i no longer have to care about this at a professional level.

Bullet Train (2022, dir. Leitch) asks "what if you put a whole bunch of assassins all on the same high-speed train?"

this is the glass onion of action movies. now i do like a perfect little puzzlebox of a movie made by people who really love movies, but this flavor of film is so fuckin smug about itself. this movie wants you to know it took AP Lit. this movie is a long variation of the whedon effect/"well THAT happened!” effect, where characters react to payoffs with the barest and briefest of setups an hour before in the movie.
the thing that made me have a good time is this movie was directed by the guy who directed Atomic Blonde, one of my top ten movies and one of the best action movies of the last decade. LOVE an ensemble of goons all introduced with their own setup/backstory scenes. this film is seventy percent tightly choreographed fights with improvised weapons in tight spaces.
i am a simple woman. i like a bloody, disheveled man.

alternating very fun and very unpleasant times with my big strong boy in wolfenstein: the new order. now, i am a little bit like "wow, you find the nazi prison camp level unpleasant? how shocking!" at myself. i was not really paying attention to the global rise of fascism in 2014 when this game came out bc i was busy dropping out of college and having a mental breakdown, but the nazis in shooters i have played or watched since 2014, especially call of duty: wwii, seem defanged compared to wolfenstein.
i will probably have more and more coherent things to say once i play more of this game, bc i am just about to bust out of prison at about ~9.5 hours of playtime. apparently this is the halfway point? after the first enigma code i looked up what the other ones do, decided i don't care about other game modes, and have not been trying especially hard to be a completionist about each level/unlock all the perks by doing different kills. i am talking to everyone and looking at everything and reading all the posters, and it is interesting how such a fast-paced shooter is adapting so well to me walking around and taking my sweet fucking time at whatever difficulty level is one below the recommended difficulty level.
a note on the plot-bearing moldy concrete. like yeah mold will grow on most things, including concrete, and yeah i guess the moldy concrete will kill you slower than the nazis will, but even though i love how lived in and cozy the kreisau circle hideout feels, it gives me the heebie jeebies. mold is quite bad for you. please prioritize another railing over another couch. also what the fuck math is tekla doing here??? i could not get a clearer shot even on max settings sorry

GOD i loved the london nautilus moon exhibit. yes i WOULD like to dual wield shotguns shooting nazis while running up and around a giant moon model. level perfectly tailored for me. HOWEVER! i would rather be shot in the head quickly and cleanly instead of trying to maneuver an EXPERIMENTAL HELICOPTER through a bunch of tunnels in creepy and wet conditions. being shot in the head would, again, be a much much cleaner and quicker death than any potential helicopter crash over the water. i hate planes to begin with but holy fuck helicopters no FUCKING thanks (ign screenshot)

for such a power fantasy of a game there sure are a hell of a lot of stealth sections. no stealth game is ever going to hold up to dishonored but boy did i really want these sections to feel more like dishonored.

fussing around with a f/allout: new vegas courier six/veronica/christine riff on classic noir film The Big Sleep for femslash feb. it's fun to write six even bitchier than usual
“Did you want to be the detective or the lady?” Six asked.
“Both of them were pretty cold fish.” It was very stupid to wait when she could have this immediately. Veronica flipped the covers back on her way over.
“Harsh words to throw at a woman, especially when she’s already in your bedroom.” Christine clutched at Six’s silk pajama lapels as she was tipped back up. Six’s other hand dropped to play with her dressing gown tie.
“Now, baby, a fish is–” They were never ever going to let Six live that one down.
“You know,” Six said with as much dignity as anyone groping her wife’s ass could have, “being shot in the head — twice! took all the memories of fish from my previous aquatic life as a Shi Town mermaid.”

Okokok! Breaking News! They finished shooting Be My Favourite! So we might expect it in the forseeable future maybe even after ABAAB!
I am so not mentally ready for this thing I am sorry but from the bts picture I can't see any chemistry between the 2 of them! they literally look like 2 random friends attending a wedding(the tuxedo picture) and just hanging out in uni I am sorry but I don't think this shit show is gonna work, p.s. I don't think Krist is a good actor(other than being unlikeble) and Gawin can shoulder only so much boy is only one he can't provide for 2 people! when Mike left they should have recasted Krusty as well and chose Podd! but alas Krist is still one of their popular actors...
Well lets brace ourselves for it cuz "BMF IS COMING"!
yeah I saw lol.
They filmed this show for 4(!!!!) months which is insane lmao. Idk how many episodes we're in for but I'm scared lol.
We all know this won't work and tbh I wouldn't be surprised if they,,, uhm. altered the plot a little lol. Like it's still gonna be a bl probably but I'm expecting it to be very different from other gmm productions. I'm getting ready to take a trip down 2016 bl memory lane with this one if you know what I mean lmao. I'm preparing for sniff kisses, awkward hugs and "I'm not gay I only like you" kinda vibes lmao.
Objectively speaking Krusty is not the worst actor ever, he has some experience under his belt but he's definitely not in the upper category lmao. And as much as I love Gawin, he's not part of the A-listers either so yeah. Either it will be so strange that it's entertaining or they will somehow magically create something amazing and leave us all shook fdjkghf
But either way it's gonna be weird. Even the acting coach said their chemistry is "different" fdjkhgd. gosh. I'm preparing for the worst. Also yes, this could've been the perfect PoddGawin reunion. From what I know about the characters, Podd would've fit the role of Pisaeng perfectly so if they had kicked Krusty out and switched the roles, this would've been perfect. But this??? nah lmao.
But yeah. Can't wait to tune in and laugh the cringe away djkhgdf

'Matt Damon, Florence Pugh, Emily Blunt, and Robert Downey Jr. were among the A-listers boycotting the premiere of their widely-praised drama Oppenheimer in New York City on Monday amid a SAG-AFTRA strike preventing them from promoting their film.
Instead, the only big name who appeared to walk the red carpet at the AMC Lincoln Square was the film's director, Christopher Nolan, 52, who posed alongside his wife Emma Thomas, 51.
After the strike was announced last week, Universal Pictures announced the cancellation of the premiere's red carpet, but would still be moving forward today with a screening honoring those who worked behind-the-scenes on the movie.
'In support of the ongoing SAG strike, the filmmakers of 'Oppenheimer' will not be proceeding with the NY premiere as originally planned, and will instead screen the movie to celebrate the crew and craftspeople who contributed to making this landmark film,' Universal Pictures said in a statement.
Last week, the film's cast walked out of the film's UK premiere after the strike was announced, and Nolan expressed solidarity with the strikers at a subsequent premiere screening of Oppenheimer.
Christopher looked smart in a grey suit with silver tie and sleek leather shoes as he posed beside his wife of 26 years.
Emma looked stunning in a silky black dress paired with gold jewelry and peep toe black heels which displayed her pedicured toes.
Christopher was pictured signing autographs for fans awaiting him outside the venue.
He also was seen speaking with audience members inside the theater, delivering several remarks ahead of the special screening solo.
Oppenheimer, which stars Cillian Murphy as J. Robert Oppenheimer, the 'father of the atomic bomb', has been receiving glowing reviews following its premiere in Paris last week. It is set to be released in the U.S. on July 21.
Hollywood is set to grind to a halt for the forseeable future as unions take militant action over how streaming services are pushing down pay and the increasing use of AI in production.
The move could delay the release dates of blockbusters in the UK, with filming already halted today on the Buckinghamshire set of Wicked, starring Ariana Grande, while Deadpool 3, Beetlejuice 2 and Speak No Evil also face being pushed back.
The likes of Cillian Murphy, Florence Pugh, Matt Damon, Emily Blunt and Rami Malek were all on the red carpet at the Odeon in Leicester Square last week, before leaving prematurely to 'go and write their picket signs' in preparation for the 'imminent' strike by the actors' union.
Footage from the black carpet, which was brought forward by an hour to avoid clashing with the strike's announcement, showed the cast posing for photos before making their way back to their hotel in London.
The last minute change came after the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists announced it had voted in favour of taking action, after a deadline to reach a deal passed.
Among the affected films is superhero blockbuster Deadpool 3, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman - which may have its scheduled release date of May 2024 significantly impacted by the strike.
Similarly, new film Wicked starring US singer Ariana Grande, actress Cynthia Erivo, Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey and Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh, which is being shot in a village in Buckinghamshire could also be affected, as the release date is currently set for November next year.
The set of Wicked appeared like a ghost town on Friday after it was abandoned last night following the announcement of the industrial action.
Other UK productions that face being impacted include vampire thriller The Radleys and psychological thriller Speak No Evil.
It is believed the highly anticipated second season of House of Dragon, however, can continue filming in the UK despite the ongoing strikes across the pond.
This is because the cast is made up of primarily British actors whose contracts are under the local union Equity - whose members are legally not allowed to strike in solidarity with US workers.
Pictures from the set, in an undisclosed location in Britain, on Thursday morning showed crew members preparing for another day of shooting.
Fortunately for fans of The Lord of The Rings: The Rings Of Power, the second season has just recently finished filming - in good news for Amazon which is expected to spend more than $1billion producing the series.
But for some of the biggest hits this year, from Barbie, to Oppenheimer and Mission: Impossible 7, the strikes mean studio executives face being unable to market their big-budget productions.
Meanwhile in the U.S., from Los Angeles to New York, actors, writers and other workers are now taking to the streets while holding up signs and demanding better pay.
The industrial action means press junkets for summer and autumn film premieres will be cancelled, and the Emmy awards face being postponed.
In a red-carpet interview with Variety, Matt Damon revealed that 'once the strike is officially called', the cast is 'going to walk obviously in solidarity'.
'That's why we moved this [red carpet] up because we know the second it's called, we're going home,' he said.
Speaking to Deadline on the red carpet earlier, Emily Blunt added: 'I hope everyone makes a fair deal and we are here to celebrate this movie.
'And if they call [a strike], we'll be leaving together as cast in unity with everyone. … We are gonna have to. We are gonna have to. We will see what happens. Right now it's the joy to be together.'
Just before the strike was announced, Kenneth Branagh said on the red carpet: 'We know it's a critical time at this point in the industry and the issues that are involved need to be addressed - there are difficult conversations.'
The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), the group that negotiates on behalf of studios, said it had offered significant gains to union members, reports Reuters.
They included the highest percentage increase in minimum pay levels in 35 years and 'groundbreaking' protections around the use of actors' images by generative AI, the organisation claimed.
It said: 'Rather than continuing to negotiate, SAG-AFTRA has put us on a course that will deepen the financial hardship for thousands who depend on the industry for their livelihoods.'
After the Oppenheimer cast then failed to enter the cinema after appearing on the red carpet, director Christopher Nolan told the audience: 'You've seen them here earlier on the red carpet.
'Unfortunately, they're off to write their picket signs for what we believe to be an imminent strike by Sag, joining one of my guilds, the Writers Guild, in the struggle for fair wages for working members of the unions, and we support them.'
Christopher then attended a second premiere screening of Oppenheimer and voiced his support for the strikes while introducing the film as he praised the 'talented' workers.
According to Deadline, he told the audience: 'They are here in spirit, and you'll get to see their incredible work and the reason we value these talented people so much and need to care for them and make sure they're looked after.'
'Thanks so much for being here and we hope you enjoy the film,' he added as the audience applauded his supportive words.
'This is a moment of history, a moment of truth - if we don't stand tall right now, we are all going to be in trouble,' SAG-AFTRA president Fran Drescher told a press conference, following the union board's unanimous vote to strike.
Writers had already spent 11 weeks protesting outside the headquarters of the likes of Disney and Netflix, after their demands for better pay and guarantees over the use artificial intelligence were not met.
Movie studios have already begun reshuffling their calendars, and if the strikes drag on, major film releases will be postponed too.
Both SAG-AFTRA and the Writers Guild of America (WGA) are demanding increases in base pay and residuals from streaming television, plus assurances that their work will not be replaced by artificial intelligence (AI).
The actors' union said on Thursday that its board had unanimously agreed to a strike after failing to reach a deal with studios including Walt Disney Co and Netflix Inc . Officials said actors would join picket lines in New York and Los Angeles starting on Friday.
The WGA's work stoppage has rippled throughout California and beyond, hitting caterers, prop suppliers and others who rely on Hollywood productions for business. The economic damage is expected to spread after actors join the picket lines.
Fran Drescher, former star of 'The Nanny' TV show and the president of SAG-AFTRA, called the studios' responses to actors' concerns 'insulting and disrespectful.'
'We are the victims here,' Drescher said at a press conference on Thursday, 'We are being victimised by a very greedy entity.''

Summary: When Y/N meets her new roommate, Padmé Amidala, she instantly becomes a part of her friend group. After hearing many stories about a member of the group that can never make it to the hangouts, she finally meets him, Anakin Skywalker, for the first time. Well, that’s what she thought at least.
WC: 2.6k | DO NOT REPOST ANYWHERE. Reblogs are fine and appreciated <3 DISCLAIMER: In this story Y/N is described as female, however it is up to you what she looks like!
Just wanted to clear some things up before the story begins:
In this story Y/N is a college freshman, and she's 20 years old, Anakin and Padmé are both sophomores, but Anakin is 22 (he could be a junior with Obi-Wan but you'll see why he's not later on) and Padmé is 21. Obi-Wan/Ben and Satine are juniors, and they are 23, and Ahsoka is a senior in high school. I know this isn't accurate to how the ages work in the films but it makes the most sense for this book. There are some other characters in the friend group and their ages will come up eventually, haha. Y/N is hoping to work for JEDI, which is the equivalent to NASA in this universe. This is a modernized story, however I imagine it taking place kind of when the prequels were released.. not sure exactly how accurate it'll all be, but I'll try to keep it together.
Super excited to see where this story goes!!
                                                       -------
College. The phase of your life when you're stuck in the middle of being a kid and an adult. Sometimes the best years of your life or sometimes the worst. For me, they were pretty important. You know, friends come and go. Until those friends turn into colleagues, spouses, or best friends. It's crazy how just a few years can cement your entire future.
                                                        -------
The long line I currently stood in wrapped around the large, cement building, emphasizing the amount of people I'd be living in a dorm building with this year. I was starting off my freshman year at Tatooine University with a stressful schedule, a sophomore for a roommate, and a smile on my face. My goal in life was to study planets so I was going to major in astrology. The solar system always fascinated me when I was younger and I made it a mission to make it into the field somehow.
"Next!" The man who was handing out the schedules called  me up and asked for my name.
"Y/N L/N." I responded, excited to see who my roommate would be and my class schedule. Once the man had handed the stack of papers to me, and I had gotten out of the line, a woman who seemed to be around my age ran up to me.
"Hey! I think you're my roommate! You're Y/N right? I'm Padmé Amidala." I glanced down at the top of my paper and saw that she in fact was my roommate.
"Yeah, I'm Y/N, super nice to finally meet you Padmé." I stuck out my hand to shake hers and noticed her nicely manicured purple fingernails. "I like your nails, the color is gorgeous." I complimented.
"Thank you! You can borrow it sometime." She winked and I smiled.
"I'll see you at the room tonight, then?" I asked her, hoping I wouldn't have to be alone on my first night.
"Yep, hey, a bunch of my friends are getting together this evening. Do you want to come and meet them? There's no classes until Monday."
My face lit up at her invitation. So far I had no friends here, but it seems like I did now!
"That'd be so great. Thanks for the invite!"
"Of course. It was great to meet you, I'll see you this afternoon, Y/N!" Padmé waved goodbye and ran back to her station as I walked off towards my car to grab my boxes of stuff.
                                                                                             -------
A few hours later I had moved all my stuff into the side of the dorm that I'd be calling home for the forseeable future. Padmé hadn't come home yet so I took it as the perfect time to navigate the residence hall and take a shower. I grabbed a towel, my shampoo, conditioner, and anything else I'd need and went down the hall, looking at the map on the wall. I just needed to take a few turns and I'd make it. As I made my way, I heard a man on the phone walking through the hall as well.
"Look, Snips, I'm not gonna make it tonight. Yes, I know. I'm sor-"
Well, I guess we both weren't looking where we were going cause next thing I knew we had crashed into each other in the middle of the busy hallway.
"Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry." I told him, looking at him for the first time. And wow, was he handsome.
"Don't worry about it, it was my fault. Here's your stuff." He handed the fallen items to me and I took them quickly, hoping he didn't notice my cheeks turning a peachy color.
"Thanks, see you around." He nodded and smiled while we stood up and went our separate ways. I hoped my previous statement had been true; I better see him around.
                                                     -------
After I took my shower, I found my way back up to the dorm and noticed that Padmé had written our names with little stars around them on the whiteboard on our door. I smiled at the gesture, it was cute. I entered the room and saw Padmé setting up her stuff.
"Hey, Y/N! Good to see you found your way to the bathrooms." I nodded in response.
"Yea, I saw a pretty cute guy on the way too." She squealed at the comment.
"Tell me everything! Who was he?" I set down my stuff on the shelf near my bed and sat down in my desk chair.
"Well, first, I don't know a single person here other than you, and two, even if I did, he didn't tell me his name." I jokingly frowned and Padmé groaned.
"Ugh, that's the worst! You better find out someday." I smiled in agreement.
"Hey, so when are we going to hang out with your friends?" I questioned, and looked through my freshly set up closet for something to wear.
"Hm, in like an hour. You think you'll be ready by then?"
"Yep, anything I should wear specifically?"
"We're just hanging out in the common rooms. They do some fun stuff on the first few days. I'm just wearing jeans and a t-shirt. Wear whatever you want!" She explained and tossed the purple nail polish I had admired that morning.
I changed into some bootcut jeans, a blue tank top, and a black zip-up. I did my makeup and my hair, painted my nails with the purple polish and after around 50 minutes we were both ready to go. We walked to the common room and I was surprised at just how busy it was. There were people of all grade levels in there, having a good time on the last few days of summer break. A girl with two blue and white braids waved us over into the corner of the room where I saw an auburn haired man with a short beard and a gorgeous blonde woman sitting next to him.
"Soka, so good to see you!" Padmé hugged the girl with the braids and smiled.
"You too Padmé. Barely made it past security this time. Can't wait until next year when I finally get to go here with you guys!" The young girl squealed and I grinned at her enthusiasm.
"I don't know why you don't just get one of us to let you in." Padme laughed.
"I enjoy the thrill." Ahsoka raised her eyebrows goofily.
"Oh, I am so awful, everyone, this is my new roommate, Y/N. Y/N, this is Ahsoka, Ben, and Satine." Padmé introduced me, putting her arm around my shoulder.
"Hello there." Ben said smiling.
"It's really great to meet you all! Thanks for being so welcoming." Padmé and I sat next to Ahsoka on the worn couch and got comfortable.
"So, where's Anakin this time?" Padmé asked, scoffing.
"I don't know, but who ever knows with him." Ahsoka laughed.
"Who's Anakin? If you don't mind me asking." I hoped I wasn't getting too personal too soon.
"Oh, Anakin's a close friend. He's a sophomore, studying aerospace engineering. We're all a bunch of "space nerds." Ben explained, and the group laughed. "Well, except Padmé and Satine here. They're too good for us."
I smiled at that. "So I've heard. Political science is awesome though. You go Padmé. And Satine, I assume you study the same thing?" She grinned and nodded her head. I continued the conversation by saying, "but don't worry, I'm a "space nerd" too." The group perked up at that and I started to explain what I was going to be studying. They all seemed to love me off of first impressions, and I was very happy to have some new friends.
"So, Ahsoka, you're gonna study here next year?" I diverted the attention off of me to open up the conversation.
"Yep! I'm gonna study with Anakin. He's basically my brother so I'm really looking forward to it." She seemed to get even more happy while talking about Anakin, which I thought was really sweet. Someday I'll have to meet this guy.
"That's awesome, you seem to be really passionate about your work. I'm sure you're going to make it super far." I smiled sincerely at her. "So, how about you guys. How did you all become such good friends?"
Ben started to explain what was basically a life story of everyone I had befriended that night. Ben and Anakin had grown up together, Anakin had become sort of a big brother to Ahsoka after he was assigned to show her around their shared high school, and Padmé was Anakin's ex-girlfriend who stuck around in the friend group after they broke up. Satine was the newest addition after she had met Padmé through their shared classes. She had introduced her to the group and now her and Ben were an adorable couple. I thought their story was super cute, and they all seemed like great people.
"Oh! I just got a text from Sabé. She's here and wants me to come get her in. Y/N, you don't mind waiting here do you?" Padmé shot up.
"Oh, come on, Padmé. We won't bite." Satine smiled sweetly.
I giggled and told her I obviously didn't mind waiting with my new friends. When I referred to them as that they all cheered with their drinks started smiling. After Padmé had run out to grab her friend Sabé, a new pack of beer has been opened. You know, Ahsoka and I technically weren't supposed to be drinking alcohol, but I don't think any of us actually cared.
"Hey guys." A new voice announced their presence and I assumed it was Sabé.
We all said hi and I was introduced again. Padmé explained that Sabé was her class vice president in high school and they had been good friends ever since. Another adorable story. Was everyone in this friend group straight out of a movie?? It sure seemed like it.
After another couple of hours of getting to know each other, it was quite late and we all decided to turn in. Padmé and I took the short walk back to our dorm, and I pointed out the spot where I had run into the mystery man earlier that day. We laughed a little too loud and someone stuck their head out of the dorm room to "ssshhh" us. Honestly, it didn't help, and we started laughing louder. When we finally made it to our room, we quickly ran back to the bathroom and then fell asleep once back in our room.
                                                      -------
The next day I wore a yellow sundress and some white sneakers and attended my freshman orientation. I met some cool people and learned a lot of important information about my classes and how I'd be spending the next four years. Since I now knew my teachers I could find out what I would need for each class so I asked Padmé if she needed to go shopping and if she wanted to go with me. She agreed quickly and we drove off to the nearest supply store. As we were walking down the notebook aisle she started asking me some random questions that would come to her mind.
"So, Y/N what was high school like for you?"
"Oh, wow. It's so weird to be out of it still. Well, I was a cheerleader, and took a lot of science related classes since this is the field I wanted to enter. It was pretty good honestly. I kinda miss it, which is not what I expected to say." We both started laughing and Padmé agreed.
"And what about boyfriends? Any gossip I should know?"
"Well, I dated a couple guys over the span of the four years. Nobody really stuck. Clearly. Had my first heartbreak last year, but I got over it." I shrugged. I had dated a guy that I really liked, but it ended up just not working out. I pushed the cart down the aisle, an annoying screech occurring each time a certain wheel moved.
"That sucks. Yea, I mostly only dated Anakin in high school, but that also didn't end up working out."
"How come?" I wanted to hear more about this guy. He seemed to get brought up a lot.
"I don't know. I guess we just wanted to be friends. Which we are, and I'm really glad. I can't imagine him not in my life at all. You'll hopefully get to meet him someday soon."
"Yea, that'd be nice. I've heard a lot about him now." I threw some notebooks into the cart.
"He's a loveable guy." Padmé smiled softly, also grabbing some stuff she'd need.
After we had left the store we decided to grab something to eat at the restaurant next door.
"Hey, I'm gonna go to the bathroom, will you get us a table?" Padmé asked.
"Yea, of course." I walked over and grabbed a table while examining the menu. I glanced out the window next to the table and was surprised to notice the same guy I had run into in the hallway the day before walking to his car parked next to the store. I must've just missed him in there! What a shame. Shortly after he drove away, Padmé returned and we got back to chatting. I told her about seeing the guy again, and she groaned in frustration.
"I can't believe you saw him again, yet you still don't know his name. All you know is that he most likely goes to school with us since he was in our dorm building."
"Yea. It's so annoying! I'll find out some day." I nodded my head in defeat.

Snips: skyguy u coming to the movies with the gang tonight? you gotta meet padmé's new roomie, she's super cool.
SkyGuy: Sorry Snips, not gonna be able to make it again. I promise you I'll be there next time, can't wait to meet her.
                                                         -------
Later that evening the same group I had hung out with the previous night minus Sabé; who couldn't make it due to her classes starting a day earlier than ours, all joined together to go see a movie. We were going to see a new rom-com called "How To Lose a Guy In 10 Days" even though Ben protested. We told him he was outnumbered, three to one. It ended up working on him. After the movie, we all went to the nearest sports bar and got dinner. I ended up learning a lot about the college that night, which was nice and very helpful.
"Gosh, I wish Anakin was here to give you advice. He's got great insight on this kind of stuff." Satine commented.
"Wow, I really gotta meet this guy! There's been so much talk about him."
Little did I know, I had already met him. And really wanted to meet him again. Luckily, I would.
                                                       -------
A/N: I hope you guys enjoyed the first chapter of In the Stars! I'm really excited to keep writing it. I hope you'll stick around to see where it leads! Love, Ada.

Hear me out. If this video was from March / April whatever, wasn't that when he was drinking a lot, doing those long lives, falling asleep, and people were concerned. Well maybe that's when he found out that someone was filming him creepily, but they took care of it (he broke up with the girl, they bribed the sasaeng etc) and that's why he isn't fazed when this came out now because he knows exactly what footage is there.
Okay, lol, anon, when I said debunking or proving, I meant based on something more concrete like dates, landmarks, hell, I'll take matching jewelry because there are way too many loopholes in a theory like that, I can't even count but if I have to limit to one- He basically came in contact with his sasaeng; didn't sue; paid them and broke up with his girlfriend only to have the footage leaked anyways. So now he lost money, lost fans and lost a girlfriend. Still refuses to sue and pledged to have no girlfriends for the forseeable future. That's too many Ls not to be fazed.

I have made an important, hopefully life/career altering decision. (Though tbh I think it's going to be a lot of pain and agony for a year or two while I try learn and get used to it).
From now on, I will only be working on 3.5/4.5 projects at a time. I will not be jumping about between projects as my heart desires. I must finish the old project before I move onto a new one. (Of course I am allowed to have new ideas for both new and old projects, but I will write the outline/overview of the idea and put it aside for when I next work on that project).
The 3.5/4.5 projects will be, one film script, one original novel idea, and one fanfiction. The .5 is for small things like prompts or drabbles. BUT MUST BE SMALL! And the maybe 4 is for any work I have to do for Uni. I'm not sure whether to count it as a number, or say Uni projects are excluded because I have to do them or else I'll fail.
So, I guess I should introduce the current projects I'll be working on for the forseeable future.
Film: Laura Marano/Pop-star film.
I say Laura Marano because she's who I envision as the lead actress currently, however she is not associated with the film in any way other than inspiring the main character. (Yes, I hope that if its made she's offered right of first refusal).
A young-adult / early adult romance film. Daniel, a blind man, and his guide dog, Holly, go to see one of his favourite pop stars, Katherine Hawke at Vector Arena in Auckland, where she is doing 3 days of shows. Daniel is sitting waiting for the line to die down when he hears a commotion. A wheelchair bound girl and her mother's tickets aren't working. Daniel kindly offers them his two tickets, deciding to listen to the concert from outside. Katherine, having snuck outside for some fresh air, see's this, and strikes up a conversation, while posing as a Vector Arena employee. She decides to sneak him into the show. After the show, she sneaks out to see him again, and he invites her on a day out the next day. She accepts, and they meet up the next day. The duo - and Holly have a fun packed day out and about. But when they return, Katherine's true identity is revealed, and the pair are ripped apart. Can their fledgling romance survive? Or is Katherine's stardom too great of a challenge?
Original Novel Idea:
Honestly haven't picked one right now. I haven't been working on an original novel for the past month or so. When one strikes my fancy I'll let you know.
Fanfiction:
Despite having ideas and motivation for my Scorpion Fic, I think I'm going to stick with and finish my unnamed Ouran WIP. I recently read the manga and had an outpouring of ideas that I should be able to work on, and use to finish the story.
So I'm going to theme my asks and what I talk about around these 3 works, that doesn't mean you can't message/ask about others, I will quite happily talk about any of my projects!! And if there is anything you'd like me to work on and finish after these projects let me know! I know there is a lot of interest in my slow burn CDC fic, so that might be my next fanfiction project, but I won't know for a long while yet... unless I miraculously finish the Ouran WIP soon.

Happy Husband
I think my husband might be happy.  He’s just found out that I’ve ordered him all, and that includes the shitty prequels, Star Wars films on blu ray.  Then he found out I’ve ordered all of the Star Treks films on blu ray as well.  Guess I know what I’ll be watching for the forseeable future.
