i think i might try drawing all the main homestuck flavored gits with random characters. get the drawing skill up and keep it fresh. that and homestuck characters are fun to draw.

watching the landing craft in ep 5 reminded me that in the tank book I’m reading a whole bunch of tanks just sank on d-day, taking their crews with them, and it’s genuinely so horrifying to think about

i find tyclancy specifying that he is going to cross the paladin strait "without any floatation" adorable, like he graduated from his swim lessons that used to involve floaties or something and is now proud about not needing them anymore

This was a commission from someone on deviantArt, but I really liked how it came out, so I'm posting it here, too.
Anyway, here we have Tikal relaxing in one of those therapeutic floating tanks (I think they're also called sensory deprivation tanks). This was a bit outside my comfort zone to draw, but it was still fun to work on.
A little fun fact: Tikal was one of the inspirations for Callisto, one of my Buzz Lightyear of Star Command fan characters.
Tikal the echidna is owned by SEGA; I only own this picture.

I discovered what is called “floatation therapy” back in 2018 …. Floatation therapy involves resting (floating) on your back in an enclosed pitch-black tank filled with salty skin-temperature water (34 – 35 degrees celsius) wearing earplugs and nothing else (yes totally naked) …. There is .. no light .. no smell .. no touch and no sound …. The water is saturated with 350 kilograms of epsom salt making it so dense and buoyant that you will float no matter what you weigh …. This is my time to pause .. to put a stop on life .. to forget about the world for 60 minutes or for a double session back to back …. To let sensory deprivation take over .. where the zero gravity element of floating relaxes and rejuvenates my mind to fall asleep …. I also use it as part of my preparation and recovery during my dance competitions .. the magnesium intake is great for muscles …. My love for this therapy that is part of my weekly or fortnightly routine has unfortunately come to an end at the moment .. hopefully temporarily .. due to lease arrangements for the business of close friends of mine ….. A business these days is expensive to set up and maintain with the number of things that need to be balanced to make it viable …. Other similar businesses here do not have the same quality of high standards …. I will miss this element in my life .. my last float there was tonight ….

*Deidara and Sasori taking a break during traveling*
Deidara, bathing in the river: Ahhhh, this feels so good, hm! The waters so cool and refreshing!
Sasori: I’m glad. But twenty more minutes then we need to keep going, okay? I want to make it back before dark.
Deidara: Okay. Hey, can I ask you something?
Sasori: Yes?
Deidara: I’m not trying to be rude but I’m curious; do you ever take baths?
Sasori: My body has no need for them, so no.
Deidara: But how do you stay clean, hm?
Sasori: I wash my hair with shampoo like a normal human. But for my body itself, I have a variety of polishes and special oils that keep my “skin” clean and good-smelling.
Deidara: *comes out of water and wraps a towel around himself* But could you bathe with water if you wanted to?
Sasori: Not so sure that’d be a good idea. My inner metal gears would likely fill up with the water and malfunction. It takes a lot of time to repair damages like that.
Sasori: Although, if I closed the open hatches on my body, I believe I would simply float on the water.
Deidara:
Deidara: Y-you mean like, a raft or something?
Sasori: I suppose. I … why are you looking at me like that??
Deidara: Danna, it’s such a long way back home, hm, and we follow this river for like, 90% of the time. You know what would be nice? If —
Sasori: No.
*later*
Konan: Ah, I see you’re back. Goodness, Deidara, why do you look so upset?
Deidara, pouting: Because I begged him and begged him, but no matter what I said, Sasori-no-danna wouldn’t let me climb on top of him and ride him, Hm!
Konan:

Neither of them wanted to get in the ball and both Blueberry and Apple fainted while I tried to catch Lemon (with Luna taking a large amount of damage too (and Blueberry also fainted while attempting to catch Apple)) but I caught a Gouging Fire called Apple and a Raging Bolt called Lemon. Would Banana have been a more fitting name for either of them? Maybe but I still see the green on a Gouging Fire and think “apple green” so its kinda fitting I ended up giving my Proto Beasts and Neo Swords fruit names
As proof of how long it took them to get in the ball, here is the remaining PP for their movesets once I finally caught them

hey do you know how to swim. asking for a friend.
Swim? Suits have no NEED to swim.
I know I certainly don't. And why are you asking for a friend about this-? Couldn't your good chum have just asked instead???
You all are ludicrous.

AUTISM REPRESENTATION‼️‼️‼️‼️
there’s a lot of misinformation about autism that gets spread on the internet, so here’s a friendly reminder that the main symptoms of autism are as follows:
insomnia
an adverse reaction when exposed to direct sunlight
highly selective eating habits
skin which is cold to the touch
an inability to enter churches
long, unusually sharp canines
a thirst for blood
if you experience several of these symptoms, you could be autistic! i recommend doing further research on your own, as i am not a doctor and cannot diagnose you, but i hope that someone finds this clarification helpful.
