How did you grow your audience? If you don't mind me asking

Hmmm..it was a steady climb for awhile (this is all twitter) as i posted commissions i finished and people would share them. I also hosted raffles at times with the "retweet and follow"

But there was a turning point during the "socialist teeth" meme when my post took off and i got a lot of follows

I dont know if I really have advice to give on it because it's honestly from what I've seen luck

And ...tbh....not something I really enjoyed for many years and why I scrambled at the chance to use Tumblr as a site for myself again (instead of just silently rbing others art)

Having a small audience who truly care about what you share and engage with u is nice

Growing slowly is the best way i think

When I was little, I went to DC with my girl scout troop and I saw a street vendor with a bunch of shirts. 

One of them was a chestnut leaf.

I fucking love chestnut leaves, so I bought the shirt.

I figured that was talking about the White House lawn or some shit. Maybe an inside joke for DC or something. What that had to do with chestnut leaves was beyond me, but whatever. 

Then one of the other girls saw my shirt and said that I was supporting drugs.

Turned out that was not a chestnut leaf on my shirt.

keep seeing undergrads on social media saying “oh if a prof has a strict no-AI academic integrity policy that’s a red flag for me because that means they don’t know how to design assignments” like sorry girl but that just sounds like you’ve got a case of sour grapes about not being allowed to cheat with the plagiarism machine that doesn’t know how to evaluate sources and kills the environment! I have a strict no-AI policy because if you use AI to write your essays for a writing course it’s literally plagiarism because you didn’t write it and you’re not learning any of the things the course teaches if you just plug a prompt into the plagiarism generator that kills the environment, hope this helps!
